The Years Of The Guru.Year One:Carnel had always enjoyed the time spent with Blaze. Even if he wasn't his blood, he was still his son. Training Blaze was difficult, as he was over anxious to prove himself and test his limits. Carnel liked Blaze's attitude, but the problem was power. Blaze grew stronger every time they trained.
Carnel's greatest fear was Blaze's power. Fear that one day, Blaze would get full of himself and turn to the darkness. Become like all his kind before. But so far, his son showed nothing but good things.
Carnel initiated a battle between his son and many of Namek's best warriors. But one warrior stood out, and defeated Blaze many times. Then that's when Blaze transformed. Carnel was shocked at first, and called the whole thing off. Luckily, his son still was in his right mind.

Later that year, Carnel received numerous reports of suspicious activity in the caves. Demons, some said. This worried Carnel, so he sent his son to check it out. He wasn't expecting it to be anything too major.
While waiting, Carnel tended to his regular duties and did some self training. Carnel's main form of training was Meditation. He would look deep into himself to see what he could do, then attempt to apply it in the real world. Carnel was doing this, Meditating on the idea of a Namek fusing or splitting themselves. Maybe applying some of that idea into a cloning ability could create a more animate and more identical copy of himself.
He used his new cloning theory many times, mostly creating targets for others to attack and train with. Over time, he was getting better at his new
Clone abillity.Upon Blaze's return, Carnel was surprised to see he had brought another with him, an injured man named Xero. Carnel used his healing to save the mans life, showing Blaze how it was done in the process as to speed it up. Xero survived, but remained unconscious for a while after.
Upon Xero's leaving, he stopped Blaze from going with Xero. He didn't tell Blaze this, but he knew of the Infection that Xero had, and did not wish for Blaze to catch it. Though Xero seemed like a good enough guy, Carnel didn't trust his control over this strange Infection.

Year Two:In the first year, Elder Carnel had seen and trained many young warriors who have passed through. This made him think... Maybe he could open a school and teach any new warriors and travelers the basics. He could issue tasks and bounties, as Namek seemed to be the go-to place for criminals to hide lately.
Along side Blaze, Carnel opened the "Guru Academy of Namek" or GAN school in an old unused wing of the Elder's Fortress. Here people could learn to control their energy, learn meditative abilities, learn to fly, and tap into any passive techniques they wish to learn. The Academy was renovated by volunteers from the villagers for the most part until it was fit to be used for training. Carnel hopes to add in better equipment such as a gravity chamber and other such things over time.
Carnel soon learned to communicate telepathically with other individuals. Though he tried to teach Blaze the same skill, he was too occupied with his new Stun Bang attack. So Carnel trained on his own. He would test his new power on random energy's he sensed, saying things to cause mild confusion. Nothing major, he would just tell someone their shoe was untied, only for the person to look down and see they don't even wear shoes. A mild prank never hurt anyone, and it was for training.
He got an unexpected visit one day, the Saiyan King himself arrived. Boliko Koregutsu just wanted to confirm that though Param had passed, the alliance with the Empire was still in effect. Carnel thanked Boliko and informed him that he does in fact have access to a terminal, to witch calls can be made. He had to chuckle at the idea of him flying all the way to Namek for a business call.
Carnel was impressed when Blaze released to other planets that Namek was open to commercial trade of farmed goods. The new planets that excepted Namek's trade route caused an increase in Namek's economy. Everyone had a job, nobody was going hungry. Well, thirsty for Namekians.

Year Three:Carnel would have loved to unlock Blazes potential. But he had decided long ago that he wouldn't even allow Blaze to do it, even if Param was still around. The boost could be too much for Blaze. And Carnel was afraid of unlocking any darkness inside of him. Blaze was already quite powerful as it was, witch was the reason Carnel gave.
Unfortunately, Blaze didn't take it well. Carnel nearly had a heart attack when Blaze walked in, freaking out in his new Monster form. He wished he could help his son, but there wasn't anything he could do for Blaze at this point. Blaze retreated for a week in solitude... Carnel could only hope he stayed sane.
Meanwhile, suspicions turned to accusations. It wasn't bad enough that his son was on the brink of madness with a power level way over nine thousand, but now Carnel was being accused of Param's death. they said Carnel threatened Param to get the Guru power, then killed him in his sleep. People began saying Carnel
did unlock Blaze's power, and now plans to use him as a weapon. So many rumors. But Carnel would not stand for it.
He allowed a free investigation of any and all things the Namekian people wished to look into. The process was a long one, and every detail was analyzed. Blaze was given an extensive check over before he left for Kold. Another thing on Carnel's mind...
He had told Blaze that Suki, the overlord of planet Kold may be able to help. Blaze took the idea, and packed his things. Carnel didn't stop him, blaze had to live his life his way. Even if it meant heading to see one of the most evil and most powerful forces in the universe. Blazes leaving Namek falsified a few rumors as well.
Between all the chaos and nonsense, Carnel's stress level rose. It got so high, that a small insect landing on his drinking gourd finally set him off. His rage broke, and he fired lasers out of his eyes. Yeah.
Lazer eyes. Serious stress. Not kidding, that's what he learned to do that day. And it actually was quite relieving to vaporize an annoying little bug once in a while.

Year Four:The investigation came up with a final scenario. Inaurian Influenza, disease contracted by Ikezu had been picked up by Param. This was not normal, quite a rare effect. But the disease had been the cause of the late Guru's death. Ikezu was still missing. And this proved Carnel innocent. Many still disbelieve this, however.
The year was spent mostly on bettering Namek's farm trade. The Zeni brought in was used to help build homes, stock up on medication, and help the Namekian people out quite a bit. Much was set aside however, as most Namek's don't require "things" for everyday life. Unspent Zeni was used to pay travelers for work or favors, bounties, and other such things.
One project was a few islands in the Emerald Ocean. Carnel decided to bring more people to Namek to experience the planet for what it was worth. A place of relaxation was created with a Tropical Earth feel to it. A vast beach, individual cabins, a large hall for parties, dancing, concerts and gatherings was built as well. It was known as
the Namekian Getaway, a stress free Paradise.
The idea wasn't widely accepted at the time, but he was the Guru. And the Academy worked out when the people doubted him, maybe this would too. Sure enough, after months of construction, it was opened to the public. And it was a success. But Carnel didn't know how its future was looking quite yet... (New location on Namek)
The Academy became a good place for beginners. Carnel helped train quite a few, and focused on
honing his skill with his Elder's Staff. He soon used it much faster, and used its abilities much easier as well. He could now use it to amp up his Telekinesis as well.

Year Five: This year was sort of choppy as well. It started as a normal day, Carnel had just woken up. He headed downstairs when a figure caught his eye. The figure was wearing a black hooded robe and took at him with a blade of some kind...
Carnel was still quick in his age. He managed to dodge his attacker and get a blow to their midsection. He used to be a warrior after all... He then put out his hand, making his staff come from another room all the way to Carnel. The attacker spun back around, lunging with the blade again. Carnel deflected the blade with his staff and took a swing. The attacker dodged.
The two fought at each other for a few seconds until they clashed weapons. Carnel lunged his hand out to pull the attackers hood down, but the attacker pulled away and drove the blade into Carnel's arm. He withdrew it, cutting as he did so. Carnel screamed, and shoved the staff forward into the attackers face, knocking them over.
Carnel began charging up a thunder blast. The attacker seen this, and scrambled to their feet, running behind a pillar just as Carnel fired. The pillar took the blast and created a large dust cloud. The attacker was gone.
Carnel's wound was easily healed. He searched the fortress top to bottom, finding many others wounded by the attacker. All of the wounded were fine when Carnel used his amazing healing power to help them, but two had already been dead before he arrived.
The attacker had killed two and wounded at least a half dozen others, some many times stronger then Carnel himself. This person was either strong or stealthy. Carnel may never have survived had it not been for his experience or noticing of the attacker.
Carnel called the person "the Black Hood" and put a bounty out for their capture. This assassin needed to be taken care of. Though Carnel was its target, he was more worried for his people...
---------- ---------- ----------
Carnel stressed over his people quite often. He spent much time training more healers and honing his own skills. He worked hard at his healing ability, trying harder to channel his ki into a pure energy. Then one day, he achieved it. He could now heal better then ever with a pure white energy. It was more potent then anything he had ever seen or done before. Truly one of his greatest accomplishments.
