Kris' pains faded, and apparently, so did Kami's. Kris did notice, however, Kami's damaged arm. Kris shivered a bit at the sight of it... It was black from the intense energy that had recently engulfed it. Kris took a deep breath to ease his mind, as seeing his own master injured in such a way unnerved him.
Kris nodded as Kami told him about the Bikkuri-Sho and how he learned it. Kami then stood up and invited Kris to come and eat. It struck Kris as a bit odd that Kami wasn't bothered at all by his arm. At the sound of food, however, Kris' eyes lit up and he sprung to his feet. His muscles were still tired from the battle, but it seems his energy was replenishing at an astounding rate. It must be this room, he thought. He stopped thinking about it and followed Kami to the small dining room-like chamber. He grinned as Kami pulled out a large bowl of snack-like food.
Kris eagerly scooped a big handful out and piled it into his mouth rather rudely. It tasted good, but not great, and was extremely satisfying to eat. He enjoyed it and took another bite before realizing how much of a pig he was making out of himself. He swallowed the food that was in his mouth and cleared his throat. He then politely continued taking smaller handfuls, letting Kami get his fair share as well.

Kami laughed at the boys sudden burst of energy, Food always had been a faux pas for Namekians, as they only had to drink water, and only needed to do that every several days, But Kami had grown a liking to the trail mix in the HBTC, and something about using the Bikkuri always made him just a little more hungry than normal.
Clearly Kami was not nearly as hungry as Nehan, as the boy began to devour the small snack infront of him.
Kami having taken only a few pieces was now satisfied, and didnt mind at all that Nehan was enjoying himself, Kami even envied that hunger, as if he could stomach it, he would eat more than the little he had, but he felt inclined to warn Nehan about his fast paced consumption.
"Ha Ha! Be careful Nehan, Remember you are still under the effects of the Bikkuri, eat to fast, and it will all come back to haunt you"
With that the kami put his left arm on the table, resting it gently infront of him, and using his right hand, began healing the arm. However this did not change the grotesque color, or its functionality, this likely was just a pain killer for him while they ate.(Kami wont tell you stuff on his own, Go ahead and ask questions )

Upon hearing Kami warm him about eating, Kris slowed down. He took a deep breath to let the food in his stomach settle. After that Kris looked at Kami and wondered why he stopped eating. Master Kami, please have more! You must be hungry after that fight." With that, Kris picked up the bowl (Which now only contained about 1/4 of what it originally did) and held it up towards Kami's face, urging him to eat more. Kris, though not having the appetite of a full-blooded Saiyan, still ate quite a lot. Kris didn't eat around anyone other than his former master, so he wasn't used to seeing anyone eating as little as Kami.

Kami was touched by his students concern but turned down the bowl, putting it back in front of Nehan.
"No Nehan, My race does not eat as much as others, to be honest I am better off consuming only small amounts of water over the course of several days, Eating is not a necessity like it is to most other races"
Surely this sparked some mild Curiousity with Nehan, it would with anyone, and so Kami saved him the need of asking the follow up, and answered it himself.
"You see I am a Namekian, I come from the planet of Namek, and there we do not have many ways to eat, the plants are mostly toxic, and the animals are difficult to find or catch, so we have adapted to eating very little in order to satisfy our body, I will not eat much in the year we are here, Water is all I need...But I have a weakness for this trail mix, On my travels when I was younger I spent all of my money on it and well..."
Kami looked back at the closet he had pulled the trail mix from, it was full from top to bottom with the trail mix bags, all waiting patiently for someone to eat them.
"At the time it seemed like a good idea...but I only eat them when I am in the chamber, and for the life of me I just dont come in here that often"

Kris listened intently to Kami as he went on about life back on Namek. Kris had always wondered why Kami looked different than humans, but never felt the need to ask. Kris nibbled on the trail mix leisurely as he continued listening, a spark of curiosity in his eyes. He then saw the closet filled with the delightful snacks and smiled. At least he would have good food to eat for the year. After Kami finished talking, Kris looked back at him and asked: "So... You're a Namekian, huh? How did you become Kami? Do ALL Namekian's guard planets like you?" Kris' youth was displayed by his child-like curiosity and eagerness to know about the world around him. He rested his chin on his hand, propping his elbow up on the table to get comfortable as he awaited Kami's reply.

Kami stood, grabbing his staff that he had put down upon entering, and with his right hand helped himself up, His left still black and dead from the fight. Kami walked over to the left most corner of the room, where a small sink was attached to the wall, and began to bathe his arm as he spoke with Nehan.
"No no, Race is not important when choosing a guardian, It is simply one who is pure of heart and mind, whom is willing to give their life for the planet they defend. My race is just like the humans here on earth, we have villages, mostly tribes, with leaders and such."
Kami also washed his face, as his youthful appearance had quickly faded after the fight, leaving him shriveled like he normally appeared. Grabbing a towel off of a nearby hanging rack Kami finished washing himself off, and came back to the table.
The black had cleared slightly so that now a small bit of pink shone through where Kami's muscle was at. However the mobility was still limited to nothing.

Kris got up and followed Kami to the small sink and waited as Kami washed his damaged arm. He listened as Kami told him about guardians. "Haha, maybe I could become guardian after you're gone, Kami!" Kris said jokingly. He didn't actually think he had what it takes to be a guardian, but the thought amused him.
After Kami was done with the sink, Kris approached it and took off his weighted turban, placing it on the floor beside him. He scooped water in his hands and splashed it on his face. After, he scooped more water onto his hair. He looked back to make sure Kami was at a safe distance before shaking his head wildly, sprinkling water on the floor and walls around him. He then went to the towel and dried his face and hair thoroughly. After he was done washing up, he picked up the rather heavy turban and secured it back on his head. He had to adjust it so that it wasn't covering his eyes, but he soon got it in place. He then headed back to the table to continue talking with Kami.

Kami seemed slightly tensed by Nehan's joke about becoming the earths guardian, not because he was not qualified, but rather for the reasons that held him back. He leaned back slightly in his chair, putting his arm back on the table gently, and healing himself once more. He then asked a question that he did not know the answer to. Although the Kami knew all about Kris, his past, and his beliefs, he did not know how Nehan felt about himself and others, and was curious as to how he would answer.
"Nehan, What do you hate most in this world, and why? What do you plan to do about it?"
Kami felt as though he knew the answer to the first, and possibly second, but felt it was important to get Nehan talking about it, it was imperative that if he was to continue training Nehan, that he be honest about his feelings both to Kami, and to himself, as this was a problem that would plague him for the rest of his life if not confronted.

As Kris started his way back to the table, Kami asked him the question... Kris stood still and looked at the floor. He couldn't help but feel nervous, not by his answer, but by the sheer magnitude of the question. He took a deep breath, then replied: "W-well... I'll be honest about my dislike of Saiyans. I don't hate them as a species, but... I don't know... I can't really have a reason to hate them, considering the only ones I've ever seen are the ones who killed my father. Who knows, they might be pretty nice..." Kris thought to himself for a moment to process his thoughts. He had never openly discussed something like this, and he wasn't the best talker.
Kris then had a noticeable change of attitude. His eyes squinted slightly as he then continued: "There is one thing I hate... Injustice. The Saiyans that killed my father... He didn't deserve to die..." Kris fought back a tear that was welling up in his eye... "And the people of Central City... Meishi killed them all. Every last one of them..." Kris clenched his fists angrily. He gritted his teeth and breathed harder. "I'll become strong... Strong enough to destroy anyone who dares to kill the innocent!" Kami would feel Kris' power level rising as his anger took control of his inner fighter.

Kami had been nodding the entire time Nehan spoke, as though showing that he was indeed listening, and as Nehan became passionate about his speaking Kami let him go, listening to every word, and every emotion being emitted, it was clear that Nehan was not UN-knowledged in his understanding of the world, and it pained him much like it did Kami to see innocent individuals harmed, but what he had to say next may have surprised Nehan.
"Nehan, Did you know that I do not wish for Meishi to be destroyed"
Kami had been the first person to arrive at central in order to stop Meishi's rampage, and had said words of encouragement to his younger apprentice Kyomi. It was still strange however to think that Kami was accepting of the beasts actions, However Kami continued his thought after a few moments of silence for Nehan to contemplate what he had said.
"As the Guardian of Earth I feel the power of each person whom is born, I feel the tragedy of each man whom is killed, and each child who is torn away from their parents. I felt the death of your father as I did your mother, and I can tell you with certainty that with each passing injustice my heart hurts"
It was evident by Kami's speaking that Nehan was getting emotional, it was not surprising. But Kami had indeed witnessed the death of his Father, and knew much about the incident. But Kami had something to tell Nehan that could possibly change his outlook.
"Nehan, Did you know that I knew your father previous to his death?"(Because this is your character, if you do not approve of this plot twist then please just ignore the last thing Kami said, and simply respond to his comments prior. However if you are interested I do have quite the plan for him )

Kris continued to show his anger as Kami listened to him. Then, Kami said how he didn't wish for Meishi to die. Kris was shocked and looked up at Kami. His face was one of angry confusion as he then said: "B-but...!" Kris was interrupted as Kami continued to speak. Kris simply stared at Kami in confusion.
Kris was filled with mixed emotions. In his mind, Meishi was a horrible demon that must atone for his actions. Kami continued to speak and Kris' breathing started to slow back down. He was getting a bit less excited, but was still angry. Then...
Kris' heart stopped for a moment. Kami knew his father... Kris looked down at the floor, his breathing becoming irregular and his hands shaking. "... M-my... Father?" were the only words Kris could form right now. Could it be that Kami, Kris' trusted master, actually had information about his father?

Kami nodded slowly allowing Nehan a moment to catch his bearing. This news was not easy to take, and he would need Nehan's full attention, that is why he had waited until they were in the time chamber, Now nehan would have to stay and listen, something Kami felt was important.
"Nehan, You do not grow to such a high power-level, and not meet me, so rarely do others exceed my own strength, or expectations. And so when your father arrived here, he sought me out"
Kami stood, walking over to a desk that sat beside one of the queen sized beds Kami lifted the drawer to reveal a small book. The black book was pocket sized and fit into the palm of Kami's hand easily. He brought it back to the table, this time sitting next to Nehan rather than across the table, this was he could show him the book as he spoke.
Opening the small book there were blank pages, however as Kami spoke, pictures of the events began to take place on the pages, revealing pictures of Nehan's father, Kami, and the story he was telling.
"You see when your father first arrived to me, he told me of his past with the saiyan army. I am not sure if you know this, but he was a respected Elite warrior from the stories he told. I began to train him like I have you, but your father was already superior to my level in strength, he beat me in every sparring session. I even remember times where he tried to let me win in respect for me as guardian, but alas he was always in the upper hand."
As Kami turned the pages, Kris could see his father attacking Kami, fighting with him, and indeed winning impressively. He even recognized a few of the attacks, including the Bikkuri that Kami had just used, only this time on his father.
"But you see in all of his power, there was one grave weakness."
As Kami said that, a picture of Nehan's mother holding a small infant grew on the book. It was obvious that this was Kris at his earliest, Kami continued.
"He loved you all dearly, and would give his life for you, and he did. You see the saiyans whom came to earth where all beaten by your father. He possessed such great strength that even sheer numbers could not stop him, and this Nehan is where your understanding of your father, and mine part ways. Because that day the saiyans did not defeat your father."
The pictures began to appear rapidly, one after another of his father, with a strange affinity to him, as if his very body had changed, even his hair seemed lighter, although it could be presumed that this was due to the quality of light in the pictures.
"You see your father had indeed deserted the military. Although my knowledge is limited, he was preparing for a defensive position on vegeta, and left in order to pursue a family. The saiyans lost that battle, and in act of law swore that he would be executed. You see those saiyans whom tried to kill your father. Were his friends"
Again pausing for a moment to let Nehan catch his thoughts and breath, Kami pushed forward, needing to finish the story
"They came to warn your father that the earth would be invaded by the saiyan forces in a hunt for your father. You father however knew that he could not beat one person in particular. King Boliko"
The pages flipped to a shadow of a figure, however the power practically flew off the page at Nehan, whomever this creature was, he was clearly strong.
"And so, for the safety of you, your mother, and the planet as a whole, Your father sacrificed himself for the justice of vegeta"
Kami set the book down, closing it, and pushing it to the other end of the table, he then looked down to the tile flooring below and said softly.
"That is why I do not condone hate, or violence, or even justice. Because truly what is fair justice to one, is cruel heartache for the other. Your father was the greatest man I have ever known, yet he did break the law of vegeta, and it is possibly his fault for their having lost, so the saiyan exacted justice, something that I would not have condoned then, nor would I now. If not for his friends coming first, You and all of us would most likely be dead."
He wasnt sure how Nehan would react to his story, there was much said, and a lot needed to sink in. But Kami knew that this was the right time and place, and the for Nehan to continue growing as a guardian SF he would need to know the truth about his father, and about the universe around him.

Kris listened to Kami, not saying a word. He was told that his father and Kami had met, and that Kris' father actually trained at the lookout. Kris watched as Kami pulled out some sort of book that seemed to draw Kami's story onto the pages. Kris learned of his father's strength, that he defeated Kami many times.
Then, Kris' mind was boggled by what Kami said. The Saiyans didn't kill his father... His father had given his own life to save Earth.
Kris' motivation...
His reason for becoming stronger...
It was all a misunderstanding...
His hatred of Saiyans, his sadness for his father, his goal of avenging him... It was all for nothing.
A tear rolled down his cheek as he sat there, Kami's story now finished. Kris looked down at his hands. This information was monumental, and would change the course of Kris' life forever. He remained perfectly still, not even daring to breath for what felt like several minutes, but actually turned out to be only 10 seconds.
Without a word, Kris' mind was resolved. He slowly stood up and pushed his chair back under the table, not looking at Kami or showing any emotion. He slowly walked under the doorway that lead to the main room of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and stopped. He then looked back at Kami, still not showing a hint of emotion, and said:
"My father was a proud Saiyan warrior. He gave his life so that we may have ours. I'm not going to let him down by sitting here and talking about what I hate. I'm going to move forward and surpass my father. I will become a warrior worthy of his Saiyan pride, and worthy of his father's love." Kris turned his head away from Kami. Although Kami couldn't see Kris' face, he would sense the determination in Kris voice as he said: "We have more training to do. It's not like we have all year, or anything." Kris put on a slight smile as he continued into the main chamber, ready to train some more despite his sore muscles.
Kris lived his whole life in anger and fear of Saiyans. He hated the fact that he himself was part Saiyan, and shunned the Saiyan blood that coursed through his veins. Only by realizing the friendship of those 6 Saiyans was Kris able to accept who he really was. His heart was filled with courage and determination as it was now complete with the one thing he was afraid of his entire life: His Saiyan pride.

For the next several months Kami and Nehan would train, mostly spars that ended in stalemates similar to that of their first in the time chamber. However Kami never did use the Bikkuri again, and his arm was unuseable in the fights to come.
Somehow Kami pulled through, maintaining the fight even without the use of his left arm, and after the third month he decided Nehan was ready, that it was time for him to adopt the attack that Kami had used for generations to defeat the truly evil. He would learn the Bikkuri Sho and would use it against those who transgressed against the earth.
Sleep was an interesting event in the chamber, although there were two very nice beds, for the most part, the two of them slept after passing out from a fight, waking up only to continue fighting once more. The training was rigorous, and caused a strain on both Kami and without a doubt on the young boy he was with. But neither stopped, not for more than a moment.
After taking what seemed to be one of their longest naps (Being roughly 4 hours long) Kami awoke, stretching his body slightly, and heading into the break room to wash up. By the time Nehan would wake, Kami would be ready, in a new set of clothing. This time in that of his Kami robes. This meant that the Kami did not plan on fighting with Nehan, but rather a specific training.

Kris woke up one day (If you can call it that... There were no real time measurements in the chamber) after passing out from fighting, as he had done many times now. He groggily rose to his feet and wiped his hazy eyes before stretching and preparing for another harsh training session.
He then looked around, noticing that Kami wasn't in the main chamber. After a few seconds, however, Kami emerged with his robes on. Kris looked at him curiously, then raised his guard. Lately, Kris and Kami would begin to fight without even saying a word to each other, only to pass out again a few hours later. Kris was prepared for any tricks Kami might pull in his formal attire...
