This is the plot summary of my time skip, in case I don't get time to finish everything.
Year 1:
Move to Kold
Officially made a General and the Kold Ambassador
Get married to Touketsuki Yakedo
Receives the clone of Zach near the end of the first year, and gives birth to the child in the second year. However, Suki decides to abandon him on Earth, revealing the hidden anger in Serori. She refrains from talking to him, and he with her.
Year 2:
Overcome by culture shock and depression, Serori spends most of the year locked away.
Serori tries to make things well with her husband king, but winds up being sent on a mission for him instead. Things get more distant between the couple.
Serori notices that Suki has been returning to his old habits, and tries to help him reinstate his new habits.
Suki nearly destroys the planet, but once again Serori stops him. This is where Suki finds his fifth form.
Year 3:
Things begin to settle down with the tyrant king, and Serori goes to Earth, to visit her old friends Jorlaxl, Caius, and Amaranth.
Trains alone, and at Jorlaxl's school.
Visits the site of her adoptive parents' former house. Has flashback.
Year 4:
Suki has decided to lessen his military involvement, and focus mainly on his empire. He creates a group of elite warriors called the Tore Squad. Serori is named leader. She has misgivings.
Her misgivings are proven true, as she fails as a leader for the first mission. The mission was a success, however.
Serori returns to Kold, feeling a wreck, but Touketsuki Yakedo congratulates her on a successful first mission, and even gives her a hug, the first true physical sign of affection the Saiyan has received from her husband king.
Year 5:
Serori begins training for the coming storm. The end of the peace treaty looms ever nearer, and she worries about how Touketsuki Yakedo will take it, and what will happen. She trains her techniques, hones them into better, sharper attacks. Over the past five years, Serori has learned to control her FSSJ transformation, using the same technique she had used in years previous to unlock and lock her anger. She spends a good portion of this year meditating, learning to control her mind even better.
Techniques:
Telepathy
Ki No Tsurugi- hand lightsaber (essentially)
Destruction Cone- A mix between her Conic beam and Death Ball techniques
Barrier
Instant Transmission
Home. This was a word Serori hadn't used to describe the Earth in a while. But as Suki's ship left the atmosphere, and she watched the blue green planet slowly disappear, it was the word that forced itself to the front of her head. Home...she was leaving her house behind, he friends, her past. Memories, family, she wondered if she had made the right choice, but shook her head. Of course she had. Her feelings for Suki were stronger than ever, and after the impact her words had made on him in his battle with Nam, she knew that he needed her. Maybe not in the way that she wanted, but as a General. Her tactics and strength would be used for good under his new rule, rather than evil. Or, so she hoped.
Serori slid her legs off her old cot. She had a new, bigger room, more ornate than before, as befitted a General. But upon her request, she had kept her bed. She had grown accustomed to it in her days in space with the Word Trade Organisation, molded her shape into the mattress. It was hers.
Her feet found the warm, soft slippers she had also kept as one of her few possessions. Sliding into these, she stood up, stretched, walked over to the vanity. Her brown eyes looked back at her, short brown hair, white gown. Her face had changed significantly just since she had left the ship last. Her jawline looked harder, there were lines under her eyes, her face was tan, her lips a thin line pursed together. But her eyes...she had child's eyes, deceiving. A stranger would look into those eyes, and see a young person, with hardly any experience. But those eyes had seen more than most. Things that Serori could only wish they hadn't. But had she not, then she wouldn't be where she was today. Again, the thought tugged at Serori that she wasn't doing the right thing. She sighed.
She had thought about this many times since she had reunited with her Lord Touketsuki Yakedo. Leaving everything behind, to fall in love with someone, who would probably never love her back. She wasn't even sure yet if she had really changed Yakedo, or if he would just revert to his old habits of mass destruction. She had changed her mind several times over just in the past week, who was to say this wasn't a horrible mistake? But it was the path she had chosen, and she would see it all the way through.
[Break]
Serori was interested to see the planet she would now call her residence. As the ship sailed past black emptiness, suddenly there it was. A big, icy-blue planet. It looked its namesake, even from the depths of space, where heat had no meaning. The young Saiyan gave a shiver, out of cold and anticipation. This wouldn't be the first time she had thrown herself into a different culture, surrounded herself with what to her were aliens. However, on Vegeta, the people had been her own people, and had at least looked and acted similar. Here on Kold, there would be nothing of the sort.
Pulling away from the window, Serori walked over to her dresser. The few days that she had been on the ship in space, she had moved all her possessions and belongings into the room. She had several outfits that she'd kept. Some were new, some were old, some tattered, ruined, only kept for the reminder of what she had done. Today she picked out her old stretching armor, worn over a plain black long sleeved shirt, and black pants. There would be little to no formalities today on Kold.
Over the intercom, Serori heard a voice she had not heard in a while. It was a voice which she remembered, very distinct, almost insect-like. It was the first voice she'd heard after her first Oozaru transformation.
“We will be landing on Planet Kold in T minus 8 hours. For those of you unaccustomed to the planet, be prepared for chilly weather. Wear thermals, long clothing, anything to keep the heat in. Avoid metal.” With a click, the intercom shut off, along with Aice's voice. Serori smiled, remembering the small alien. He was the medic, and had taken great care of her when she had first joined. The Saiyan's smile left at this thought, as she thought about how long ago that was. Relatively speaking, it was a very short time. But the events and activities that had happened between then and now were numerous, and it felt like a life time ago. Comparatively speaking, that could be called truth. Serori felt different, born again; she had found her true self. Having gone through many different phases since she left Earth, she had finally reverted back to her original, shy persona. It felt very different from then, being more prone to anger, and knowing she had a new wave of power hidden inside of her.
Serori had been training this power ever since the ship had left Earth's atmosphere. Going to the training/gravity room, she had sat, meditated, focusing her thoughts, controlling her anger, to allow her to use the new-found ability at will. So far, she had been marginally unsuccessful. However, this could be due to the first time she'd tried it.
Shortly after departure, Serori had gone straight into the gravity room. Not bothering to turn on anything but the lights, she had stood, eyes closed, focusing. Opening doors in her mind, searching for the right one. Finally, she found it. That moment right after she had supposedly killed Suki. The surge of anger, sadness, fear had overwhelmed her, and that was the first time that she had felt the power. She tried to recall the wave of emotions, and suddenly the ki energy flowed right into her. It was so sudden, at its maximum, that she cried out, and dropped it. This attracted the attention of Suki, whom had been walking beside the door, and he rushed in, ready to kill, but found only Serori. She'd had to explain to him what had happened. Suki listened with a blank face, a slight scowl that he always had, before saying a simple command.
“Carry on.”
With that, he had left, and since then, Serori had been scared to try to gain control of her ability too often.
The ship took a slight tilt, Serori still standing in her room, looking at herself in the mirror. She thought about Touketsuki Yakedo, what kind of influence she had had on him. She had not seen him since the meeting in the gravity chamber. Not walking through the hallways, not in his bed chamber. She hadn't really sought him out, but she still would have liked to know that her Lord Commander was alright.
~~
Finally, they had landed. Serori stood with her few possessions in bags, inside the main chamber of the ship. With barely a jolt, the actual landing gear hit the planet. The doors began to open, with a hiss of releasing pressure. The area where the metal left the frame glared white, Serori had to shield her eyes. A gust of wind blew in, freezing cold. When she heard the doors make their final shudder, she opened her eyes, and gasped.
In front of her was a large city. While this was a supreme understatement, it was the only thing Serori could think of. The Icer race was technologically advanced, far surpassing any other race Serori had met. The buildings gleamed white, rounded, with circular windows. She saw tiny, ant-like Icers in the distance, going about their daily business, intermingled with multicolored aliens, everything bustling. The rest of the crew had come off board with her, and upon seeing Serori's gasping face, Aice tapped her on the shoulder. She turned her head, and saw the little alien pointing behind her. Spinning faster than she probably should have, not having grown accustomed to standing on land again, Serori turned around. There, rising above them, was a palace. This was the palace of Kold, and would be called her new home, as befit a General.
Marriage. It took twenty seven days since they had landed on Kold for Serori to get fully settled. Everything moved in, she knew the people she needed to know, had learned the customs she needed to know, and knew where everything was, that she needed to know. What she didn't know was Touketsuki Yakedo's feelings for her.
She had been sightseeing, looking around the planet, the palace, everything. It all seemed extremely different to her, which it was. Looking down a window at the scurrying people, she felt a tap on the shoulder. Startled, she spun around, and came face to face with Touketsuki. “I need to talk to you.”
The Icer Lord led a confused and scared Serori away from the window, through several passages, into a bedroom. Serori assumed it was his. She walked into the room, while Suki closed the door and turned to her. Fearing the worst, Serori prepared for a serenade of anger, but instead was met with a sigh, and a close of eyes. The young Saiyan took up a confused stance, uncertain of what was to come. Opening his eyes, Suki spoke.
“Serori, there is something I've been meaning to tell you.”
For about thirty minutes, Suki talked, and Serori listened. The short Icer told of the feelings that he felt for her, how she had changed him during the fight with Nam, his anger at her for knocking him down during the first half of the epic battle. He used all of the wrong words, his face kept in a sort of scowl; this was new to him, but Serori understood. She knew what he was trying to say.
“And so, I wanted to take you as my wife.” Suki finished. Serori stood there, still confused, not realising that Suki was awaiting a response. Even if she had, she wouldn't have been able to talk. Her throat seemed to have seized up, barely allowing her to breath. Suki took her silence and confused look to mean no. He turned his face down, angry, confused himself. “I...I see.” He began turning when Serori finally found her voice.
“N-no, I mean, yes, I...I would love to be your wife.” Serori wanted to tell him about the feelings that she had for him, ever since she first felt his power, and how he had changed her life, effected choices she'd made, everything. But those words wouldn't come out, and she stood, holding her arm. Suki looked up.
“Very good then. I will begin the preparations for the ceremony, to be held in two weeks.” His scowl seemed more of a smile, and he began to leave the room. Before he left through the doorway, he turned, opened his mouth as if to say something, but thought better of it. Serori was left in the room, unsure of what to do.
The two weeks passed faster than any amount of time had ever passed for Serori. Before long, she was in a large dressing room, being fitted into a purple gown. It was based on her favorite purple outfit. A belt held the long dress in place around her waist, the sleeves were conic, trailing down to the ground. When she was dressed, she was led to a vast room, with high vaulted ceilings, and what seemed to be the entire population of Kold. On a stage was standing her fiance, Suki, dressed in ceremonial armor. She was led up steps on the side of the stage, until she was standing in front of him. Her hands were holding each other, resting on her abdomen. The young Saiyan was having an adrenaline rush, she was unaware of the words that were being said, just going along with what she was told to do. Finally, she was holding Suki's hand, facing the crowd, smiling, to the overwhelming roar of cheers from the crowd.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you. Lord Touketsuki Yakedo, and his wife, Serori Yakedo.”
Only a few weeks later, the crowd was assembled again. This time, it was to officially declare Serori as a general, and the Kold Ambassador.
“I want to have a child.”
This statement came so suddenly to Serori one night, that her heart skipped a beat. She sat in silence, before stuttering a reply.
“I-I don't think that is possible, my Lord Husband.” She said cautiously. Suki pushed himself up on an elbow.
“I realise this, and I've thought it out. During the fight on Earth,” Suki was trying very hard to keep the anger out of his voice, but Serori could hear the contempt. “When we returned to my ship, I sent a few scouts to the scene of the battle to gather some DNA. I've had Aice looking the samples over until I found the sequence belonging to the blonde one. Aice has since then been engineering an embryo with the blonde's DNA. I wanted to implant it into you, and let you have the baby. I would then raise it as if it were mine.”
Serori let all of this sink in, sitting in dark silence. It made sense, she knew, but once again, Suki didn't know the right words to use. It sounded odd. However, Serori was willing.
“Yes...yes, I will do that.” She heard a sigh of relief, and nothing else was said. She had trouble sleeping that night.
Over the next week, Serori was helped to prepare her body for the embryo. It was implanted in her, and nine months later she had the baby. They named him Ritoru.
End of Year One.
'Why would he do this?' Serori lay in her bed, the sun well up, still in her night gown. It had been little over a year since they had landed on Kold, and moved in. Serori had been overcome by culture shock, unsure of how to act as the Emperor's wife, his General, and the Kold Ambassador. She was surrounded by aliens, Icers, and servants. It was more different than anything she had done in her life.
On top of her culture shock lay an overwhelming depression. Several months into the year she had given birth to her half-Saiyan, half-Human child. Suki and Serori had named the child Ritoru, a little blonde boy, bearing slight resemblance to the Saiyan girl. She had quickly grown attached, spending all her time in her room with the boy, breast-feeding, watching him sleep. But one day, Touketsuki Yakedo decided having him was a mistake. Against Serori's arguments, yelling, screaming, defying, he had sent the boy to Earth.
This is exactly what had happened when Serori had been born. This was the problem she had with it. When she had been a babe, her own Saiyan parents had sent her to Earth, unable to take care of her. And look what she had done...her real parents had been killed in anger, along with her foster parents. Yes, this had led her to good friends, and yes it had led to her marriage to Suki, along with her two titles of General and Ambassador. But she had no family, and that was what really mattered.
Serori watched the scenes playing in her mind of her leaving her home, killing the Saiyans, squashing her brother under her foot. The scenes sickened her, and she leaned over the bed, vomiting into a bucket she'd had a servant place there. This was essentially a constant thing now, while she was locked in her room. All she could think about was what Ritoru would become. And she didn't like it.
Nearly nine months passed before she left her room again. She was out to find Suki; it wasn't hard. She'd heard and felt his outrages, letting his anger flare at almost anything. She knew what was happening; Suki had let things fall from the high they had been at upon arriving him, and he didn't know how to deal with it. Serori didn't either, but she was going to try.
The Icer was currently in the kitchen, yelling at the chefs. What they had done wrong was anybody's guess. Serori stood, uncertain for a second, before sucking in a breath of air, and marching forward. She tapped her Lord Husband on the shoulder, and he spun around with a shout.
“WHAT?!”
She ignored the spittle that came flying out at her, keeping a placid face. Calmly she replied. “My Lord, I needed to talk to you.” Suki's rage abated at the sight of his wife, but he seemed to ignore what she had said.
“Serori, good, I needed to talk to you. I have an important mission for you.”
“Ser, I actually needed to talk to you about something else, if you wouldn't mind walking with me to your bedchamber...”
Suki's eyes furrowed. “Whatever you need to say can wait, until after you return from the mission. This is important business, and it cannot be put on hold.” He stalked away, with a slightly confused look on his face, as if he wasn't sure if he handled that well. Serori sighed, and made her way to the hangar.
There she met Aice, who was apparently the designated pilot. He was checking out the ship before turning around, nodding at Serori. She had changed into her Ambassador's uniform, a purple gown, with a white 'vest' around the shoulder, chest, and upper abdomen area. The bottoms were the same kind of pants that she would normally wear. White gauntlets adorned her wrist and ankles, and finally, a plain white cape, with a silver clasp in the shape of a lilac. In short, it was almost like she was an Icer. Underneath it all was hardened armor, fit to her skin, in case of any kind of assassination.
“Where are we going today, pilot Aice?” Serori stood with her arms folded in front of her chest. Aice wiped his forehead with a fore arm, before turning to her.
“Some smaller planet. Lord Touketsuki Yakedo sent a small army there, and they were easily felled. You're job is just to go over, and arrange a treaty with their leaders. They will now be under WTO control.” Serori nodded, groaning inwardly. While she was much more suited to a job like this than Suki, it bored her greatly.
“Can I get the name of the planet, and any other information?”
“X-29 is what Suki calls it. They are about as technologically advanced as Earth, and are fur covered. The planet is essentially a giant ice block.”
“Kind of like Kold,” Serori muttered under her breath, but Aice heard her.
“Very good, sir. Are you prepared to leave?” Stretching, Serori nodded her head.
“Lets get this thing over with.”
Serori sat at a table, trying not to yawn. She was sitting straight up, pretending to be important and to care. But what they were saying, when it made sense through there thick accent, was boring, and repetitive. She was just wishing they'd hurry up, when two things happened. The first, they pushed a pen and stack of paper underneath her nose. These she skimmed, looking for key phrases, and small writing. Finding nothing amiss, she picked up the pen signing. The second was an assassination attempt. These people were not very warrior like, hardly knew how to fight. So it was easy to feel the ki charging up behind her. She stood up, swiping her hand behind her, firing her own ki blast as the projectile came flying at her. They fizzled. 'These people are also not very strong.' she thought.
There was a scuffle at the table, as the leaders suddenly split into factions, and began fighting. Apparently the assassination attempt was part of a plot by part of the upper elites, this whole thing a ruse to attract her here. The other elites hadn't known about it, and were now fighting each other. As for the assassin, his eyes widened as a third, sharper and stronger blast went through his skull. She stood up, and clapped loudly, drawing the elites' attention, and stopping the fighting. She stood in silence for a brief period, before speaking, slowly and deliberately.
“Lord Touketsuki Yakedo will hear of this. He will not be pleased. Now, we can sit down, and talk this out, or,” Serori raised both of her hands, shooting one alien of each faction through their faces. The others' eyes widened, scared, their bodies shaking. “Or, I will deal with your planet myself.” There was a loud shuffling as the aliens took their seats again. They nodded as Serori spelled out a new agreement, and made them shake hands, promising to come back herself if there was any trouble.
Neck cramped, the Saiyan walked back to the ship. No longer had she sat down in the main deck, then she received a call. Turning on the screen, she saw a close-up of Glaecer saluting..
“General?” Glaecer's voice was urgent, fast.
“At ease. What seems to be the problem?”
“Sir, you'd better get here quick...Its Lord Suki, he's,” his voice was cut out by a loud explosion, and the screams of dying. Serori was on her feet, in an instant.
“Don't worry, Glaecer, I'll be there as quick as I can.” The image shut off, and Serori turned to Aice. “Aice, we need to get to Kold as quick as possible.”
“Way ahead of you, General Yakedo.”
Back on Kold, everything was a scene from a horror planet. There were several large craters from Suki's attack. Suki himself was floating high in the air, raising a Death Ball above his head, slowly getting larger. Serori took no time to wait for Aice to land the ship, she left through the docking bay, shouting at Suki.
“Touketsuki Yakedo!” Serori flashed yellow briefly, anger apparent in her voice. Suki didn't seem to hear her. As she flew towards him, she realised that he didn't even look himself. He seemed to have sprouted odd white horns out of his head, a face mask, he was larger than before. But most importantly, he was much more powerful. The ki and power in the aura around him were devastating themselves. This Death Ball that he was charging would more than destroy Kold. What could have set him off?
“Touketsuki!” Serori's voice cracked in fear. This was worse than trying to stop him from destroying that human man back on Earth, back when everything had changed. “Touketsukiii!” Serori closed her eyes, a yellow aura wrapping wispy tendrils around her as she barreled into the Icer. The ki in the Death Ball dissipated, as he was caught off guard.
When Suki righted himself, he turned to the Saiyan girl, anger and hatred in his red eyes. Serori's mirrored his, full of fear as she looked at him. Armor covered him from head to toe, his eyes were just red, nothing else. His muscles bulged, and his wrists looked like razors. Rearing his right hand, he brought it back with a loud crack across her face, breaking bone, cutting open her face in a back hand. Serori was sent flying, eyes wide opened like a deer in headlights. She watched as the ground slowly brought itself up to her, people running away from beneath her. Slowly, slowly, the buildings came closer, until finally there was nothing.
End Of Year Two
((skipping to year 4))
The Tore Squad. This was a group of elite warriors consisting of Serori, Boki, Aice, Glaecer, and Zilo. Serori knew the former three, but Glaecer and Zilo were still fairly new to her. They were the best that Suki had.
The Lord had gathered them together one day, in a meeting room, surrounding a table of dark ebony wood. He had told them how he wanted to lessen his military involvement in the affairs of his empire, and spend more time ruling. This was the purpose of the Tore Squad. They would go in his stead, taking out planets, straightening them back up, whatever he needed. It also stopped the killing of armies, or hapless bystanders.
He had also, to Serori's dismay, named the young Saiyan girl the leader of this Tore Squad. She didn't feel that she could lead them well, and would wind up failing them. However, she kept quiet, and accepted the honour with silent dignity, and a curt “yessir.”
There first mission was to go and settle a problem on Kanassa. It was a small planet, not very militaristic, and not too heavily advanced. The planet consisted of several diverse races; It should be an easy mission. Serori had a sense of unease about the whole thing. They got dressed in their various armors, readying themselves for the mission in four days. Serori spent most of the time in the gravity chamber, training moves that she had been teaching herself. The first was a combination technique. She had started alternating between her Conic Beam technique and Death Ball, and had been going for hours on end, until she'd got mixed up on which one she was on. Absentmindedly, she did them both at the same time, a cone with a small death ball in the middle. Destruction Beam, she had named it. Her second was one that she'd thought of during one of the attacks on her as an ambassador. A ki barrier, protecting her from head to toe. It would hold up against ki attacks better than her under armor.
Her third technique was one which she did in honor of Komatsuna, the android that had loved her on Vegeta, so much so, that he challenged the WTO to try to win Serori back. What had happened to him, nobody knew. He just disappeared. Serori had lost the katana he had given her as well. She'd been thinking about him a lot lately, and wondered what would happen if she tried to turn her arm into a sword. Thus, she came up with the Ki No Tsurugi. An extension of her arm, ki sharp enough to slice through skin. She'd trained herself to use it on her hands and her feet, ready for any engagement.
The day came, and the Tore Group, which Serori had began calling the Core group, loaded up the ship. Dressed in their armors, they looked very intimidating. Serori wondered whether she should give a speech to try to fire them up, but thought better of it. Even if she could have spoken in front of them, she didn't know what she would have said. They boarded in silence, getting ready. When the ship lifted off, Serori closed her eyes, letting her thoughts wander. She would be leading the other four warriors.
In her service she had an Icer, two Aliens, and another Saiyan. She knew little to nothing about any of them. She wondered how she would manage to control them, tell them what to do, what kind of enemies they would find on Kanassa. This irritated Serori, that she didn't know the answers to any of these questions, and so she decided to stop thinking, and try to get some sleep.
When she opened her eyes again, they were almost there. She could see the planet below them, Earth looking. She began to be nervous, more doubts about the success of this mission. What would Suki do if she came back home, failed? What if one of her soldiers lost their life? What if, what if...Serori had to stop thinking negatively. It was time to try thinking like the leader that Suki trusted she would be. This wasn't about her, this was about her Lord Husband.
No sooner had they landed and stepped out, then they were bombarded with ki attacks. Serori activated her barrier, and shouted out a command.
“Spread out! I want Glaecer with Aice, and Boki with Zilo!”
They obeyed, spreading out, while Serori advanced forward, dodging and ducking the ki blasts which were coming left right forward and even above and below. She used her telekinesis to move a large rock in front of her, but that lasted for only a few seconds, before it was blasted into pieces. Finally, she saw the first assailant, and as soon as she spotted him, she was able to spot others. Grinning, she cupped her hands together, channeling her ki into her hands, readying her Destruction Beam at a group of five of them. Letting it out with a yell, the yellow-orange beam shot out, ripping up the ground beneath it. Serori was about to let out a shout of triumph until she realised that Boki had also seen the group of enemies. The Irish Alien met them along with the beam, barely dodging out of the way. He shot Serori a look, before mauling the two that had survived.
The group continued into the streets of the first city, prepared for an attack at any moment. Serori had released her barrier, as it drained her ki constantly, and instead readied a Ki No Tsurugi in her right hand, and was ready to release a barrage of ki out of her left. They were spread out in a V formation, the two points facing behind, the two beside Serori facing to the side and diagonally, and Serori watching the front.
A hint of a face pulled itself behind a building, in an alley. Serori, suspecting a trap, held up a hand to stop the squad, pointing out the alley. She motioned for Boki and Zilo to go through another alley, one that looked like it would lead behind the other alleyway. Glaecer and Aice were to fly above the building, dropping in on the alien. Serori would confront him straight away.
The four left, and Serori continued as if they hadn't. When coming close to the alley, she turned, facing in, expecting something to fight, but found nothing.
“Guys, its a tra...!” She got out, before being hit in the head with something hard. Lights spun around her vision, as she turned, staggering, releasing the ki in her right hand, and slashing upwards. Her attack was met with a spurt of blood, and a low gurgle, before all hell broke loose.
The aerial ambush was met with hidden aliens expecting a sky attack, while the other alley was actually a booby trap. Boki and Zilo were both trapped in a steal cage. Serori was nearly blacking out from her hit to the head, and it was up to her to set things right. Aiming up, she released her barrage of ki at the attackers, hitting one. While doing this, she ran through the alley, was met by three more assailants. With her right hand, she sliced at one, hitting its chest, and then butterfly kicked the other into the air. The third launched several punches at her, most of which she dodged, but one she took to the chest. Collapsing, she gasped for air, as the alien stood above her, pushing ki into its hand. Suddenly, there was a Serori above him, punching down. With a gasp, he moved his hand up, only to go right through the apparition, almost as easily as the real Serori's ki blade went up through his body, cleaving it in two.
Skidding around the alley, she tried to catch her breath, wincing as each foot step sent a stab of pain through her chest. Boki and Zilo were in the steel cage, surrounded by five more aliens, jabbing at them with spears, while Boki and Zilo attempted to fill them with ki. Serori coned off the head of one, and sliced the arm off the other. Zilo grabbed one, slammed him against the cage, while Boki sent ki through his head. The remaining two aliens looked at each other before fleeing.
Lifting up the cage, Serori apologized.
“I'm sorry guys, I didn't mean for this to happen...” Boki waved her off.
“Don't worry yer nithers, lass. We're made o' stronger stuff than ye think.” He smiled reassuringly at Serori, as Glaecer and Aice joined them. The Saiyan leader was tired; the attacks she was using were very ki absorbent. She offered to take a rest before continuing and the others agreed. When Serori was ready, they continued. Every where they went they had the same encounters. It was almost like the enemy could sense what they were going to do, and make traps to deal with exactly that. Everybody got trapped at least three times, before they found the leaders. By this time Serori was done, ready to go home. In her eyes, everything had gone horribly awry, worst possible outcome.
“Ok, you can either surrender now, or...” She was interrupted by a series of ki blasts, causing her and her soldiers to take cover behind the nearest building. 'Of course,' she thought to herself. The Tore Squad had an easy time taking them out. With no leaders, the planet didn't know what to do, and just gave up, signing a paper saying they were now property of WTO.
Getting back on the ship, Serori went straight to a back room by herself. She sat down on a chair, letting her arms hang over, and leaning back her head. How could things have gone so badly? The others said nothing to her after the first encounter. What did they think? Her thoughts were interrupted by Zilo opening the door.
“Lord Touketsuki Yakedo would like to talk to you.” With a loud exasperated sigh, she got up, walking into the communications room. Suki was already on the screen, and Serori saluted smartly when she stood before him.
“Good to see you, Serori.” Was it just Serori, or was Suki actually smiling? “How did the mission go?” Nobody else was in the room, so Serori was honest. She began with the ambush when she had landed, and and went through everything, specifically including how they seemed to have known their moves. Serori just stood there with his half-smile.
“And, well, we killed their leaders, and they signed the papers, giving themselves up to you. Then we returned here, and you called.” Serori finished lamely.
“And how do you feel the mission went?” Serori couldn't stop the tears from flowing.
“It sucked. It really really sucked. It was the worst mission ever. I don't deserve to be leader, Boki does, or Aice!”
“Shhh...” Suki was being comforting. This alone was enough to hush Serori up, and she looked up, eyes puffy, nose red. “Well, if that's what you think....but my spies say otherwise. If what you described is true, then I don't know who this Saiyan imposter is.” Suki's face disappeared, and was replaced with a montage of video showing Serori, taking control, telling the others what to do, saving them, them saving her, each other. The videos looked great, and made the group look even better. Suki's face returned. “I will talk to the Tore Squad when you return. Until then.” His face disappeared again.
Serori felt better about herself after that, and the ride back to Kold was not bad at all, and almost passed by fast.
Suki was there for them when they arrived, a smile on his face. It didn't help that the Icer's natural brow ridge slanted inward, but you could tell through his eyes that he was pleased. And if not his eyes, then his first action when Serori had stepped off, and taken a few steps forward. He met her halfway, arms extended, and Serori stepped into them, enveloped. It was the kindest gesture anybody, and of all people, Suki, had made to her, and the first real sign of affection he had shown in a long time.
“I'd like to congratulate you on a job well done, Tore Squad. There will be a celebration in the Great Hall in five hours, enough time for you to change into more fitting clothes.”
End of Chapter Four
Summary of Chapters Three and Five:
Three: Serori went to Earth for this whole year, solely for the purpose of visiting her friends Jorlaxl, Caius, and Ammy. She trains with Jorlaxl at his school, becoming stronger, and getting a stronger grasp on her martial arts skill. Ammy seems distraught, and explains the problems with her home. Caius is little to be seen.
Five: Serori realises that the peace treaty is soon going to run out, and when that happens, Kold would have many enemies. For this reason, the Tore Squad is told to train. Serori spends most of this year with her Lord Husband in the gravity room. Here Suki teaches her Telepathy, and Instant Transmission. With these new powers, she will be able to make later Tore Squad missions even more successful. With her new telepathy powers, she then takes the Tore Squad into the training room several times, in order to better get to know them, their strengths, weaknesses, and learn to give orders telepathically.
