Ikezu was still saving up for his Sparring Simulator. Something which would help him immensely prepare for upcoming conflicts. However he still needed 3500 more Zenni to make the purchase. This goal in his mind he went out again to look for jobs which would make him money. On his patrol around the city he found a man who was reading a book called Troll Slaying.
“You looking to kill some trolls?”
“Yeah, but it’s dangerous. I’m afraid I simply don’t have what it takes to kill one. But I need a dead troll to complete my scene.” He said still reading his book.
“Maybe I can help.”
“Huh? Oh! You’re a…”
“A soldier, sir. I’m a soldier.”
“A soldier? Well, I suppose you could. This book says that Trolls like to spend their time near their caves, which they dig into the sides of hills. I’m sure that means they’re in the mutated forrest.”
“What else does the book say.”
“It says that Trolls spend most of their time outside during the night where their sight is most acute. Their most powerful during the full moon, and they have the ability to regenerate damage except damage done by extreme heat. I think that means that they’re susceptible to ki blasts, but resistant to physical damage.”
“Ok. Thank you. What exactly do you need of the troll?”
“I need it’s body.”
“Might I ask you what your scene is about?”
“Well, if you must know. My little boy was killed by a troll, so I’m making a scene telling that story. It’s called Trollnaped. Tell you what, if you find the troll, and bring it back dead but not destroyed, I’ll give you a very hefty pay. It’s not going to be easy, but I’m sure you can do it. This book might help, take it with you.”
“Ok.”
Ikezu said taking a look at the picture of the troll on the front of the book. It was a huge man-like beast with a long tail, not unlike an Oozaru in form. Except Oozaru turned back into Saiyans during the daytime, and only transformed during the full moon. Taking the image into his head, he flew off towards the forest.
Ikezu scoured the forest for hours looking at every hill he could find, but none of them had anything resembling a cave.
“Shit! Where is it?” He said looking around, and then he saw it. Underneath the largest tree in the forest was a hill, and a tunnel was dug out from the roots of the trees. Ikezu went closer and the inside of the cave was exquisitely preserved, the walls were supported by the roots of the great tree, and the cave went deeper than Ikezu cared to look. The walls were extremely high, 20 times taller than the largest saiyan. A sound came from the cave which resembled the deep breathing of a great beast, snarling, thrashing, and then motionless in sleep. The thrashing the beast made rattled the tree, shaking leaves from the branches, and breaking weak twigs off the top.
Ikezu figured it wasn’t a good idea to go in while it was a sleep, and besides it wouldn’t be as great of a challenge anyways if he killed it while it was a sleep. So instead he decided to wait until evening when it was supposed to wake up. He flew high into the air, and watched the entrance, soon it would be night time, and the hunt would begin.
‘Maybe the book has some hints on how I can kill this troll. Let’s read it.’ Ikezu said opening the book to the first chapter.
Trolls are reclusive creatures by nature, and prefer a life of solitude far from society where they can hunt their usual meal. They make their cave shelters into the sides of large hills, and adorn them with primitive decorations such as bones, trees, and huge rocks. The most intelligent trolls will make their caves underneath a grand tree, knowing that the roots will support the cave walls better than packed soil.
Trolls will rarely come out in the daytime, and prefer to hunt at night when their sight is most acute. Therefore, it is highly ill-advised to hunt a troll at night, though the likelihood of you finding a troll’s nest still intact is slim.
The picture on the chapter page had an illustration of a Troll’s cave, with a mass of flesh sleeping in the back.
Trolls are unique creatures, which grow to sizes comparable to the largest Oozaru. In fact they look similar to Oozaru, except for their faces which are more saiyan-like possessing normal features such as a huge nose and patches devoid of fur. They’re eyes are also different, being more saiyan-like as well. The main difference between Trolls and Oozaru is the four digits on a Trolls hand, as opposed to the five digits on Oozarus.
You can identify the presence of a troll by their pungent odor, and the presence of Troll feces, which is typically found in great mounds, and is filled with fur, bones, and scales. Should you find a pile of Troll Manure a Troll is definitely near, as they prefer to defecate near their nest.
The picture of the Chapter Page illustrated a full grown troll breaking over a tree with its left hand, snarling at the illustrator.
Before we begin, it should be noted that according to my research using the most advanced scouter technology, the weakest troll has a power level of 15,000. The most intelligent troll can reach upwards of 50,000. Trolls have the ability to heal from physical wounds, very quickly. During this process their power level increases, and a smart troll is known to thrash around it’s cave in order to purposefully injure himself, as well as to smack itself with rocks, trees, and other assorted objects to produce the same effect. Therefore if you are not at a reasonable power level, Troll Hunting is highly ill-advised. Also, you should never hunt a troll during the full moon, for during this time they are most powerful and most aggressive.
However, considering you are reading this book, you must believe yourself strong enough to complete the task. So on to business.
A troll has only one weakness, heat. Anything which can produce extreme heat, such as a reasonable ki blast or a flame, will damage the troll and the troll will be unable to heal from it. Most trolls are incapable of flight, so raining ki blasts from on high is the best strategy. However, Trolls are very strong, and are known to throw trees like javelin if they’re attacked. So it’s best to stay on the move. Should you go up against an intelligent troll, it’s best to go for a Troll’s Sweet Spot, his tail. Grabbing a troll’s tail will leave him paralyzed, just like a normal saiyan. Allowing you to blast it with ki until the job is done.
For those seeking the untarnished pelt of a troll, you should take extra precautions. The only way to kill a troll without damaging the pelt with ki blasts is to destroy its heart from the inside. This means you must go through either the front upper entrance, or the back lower one.
The last page illustrated a picture of a dead troll, completely unscathed, with smoke coming out of its butt and mouth.
“You mean. I have to go up the…”
A rumbling came from the cave followed by a massive fart, accompanied by a smell which literally knocked Ikezu out of the sky. He caught his barings and rose again.
“Oh, hell no! No! What? I… No! I am not doing that.” Ikezu said knowing exactly what he had to do.
“You looking to kill some trolls?”
