Ryota sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, today was simply not his day. He had expected a few issues to arise after the use of the burst engine but not this... practically everything was broken in some shape or form and his men were having a hard time getting things back into working order, thankfully the kitchens had been the first thing brought back into order and now that his men were fed they were at least able to work a bit harder at fixing up the old ship.
Ryota on the other hand had made his way to the planet they were currently stationed above, with any luck the mortals here would be sufficiently advanced enough to aid him in the repair of the Galleon so that he could get back on course. He'd managed to get himself to one of the larger cities of the planet and found that through sheer luck he happened to resemble the mortals of this planet. It would make blending in and getting what he needed all the easier.
Of course Ryota really had no clue that while he did resemble humans... his manner of dress on the other hand was definitely not at all the normal fashion of those in north city.

Miles landed, he was told to meet up with Cedric, Squall, and Eyes in North City, apparently they were going somewhere up north and cold. As he landed, he tried to look for someone out of the ordinary, and of course, what did he see? Some immensely powerful, green-haired fellow dressed as a damn pirate. Well, isn't that awfully convenient and out of the ordinary? Miles made his way toward the individual through the crowd, and once he was in his view, decided to ask some questions.
Maybe this was the guy he was looking for to lead him to the meeting point he was supposed to get to, there's no way they would pick such a populated area after all. That, or, he just so happened to run into some pirate-like psycho that was extremely strong, that would make Miles' strange moment of the day. "Excuse me, pirate guy. You looking for something out here in North City?" he asked, trying to be as straightforward as possible, obviously.
"Ya' see, pirates aren't usually seen around these parts, they're typically out at sea and not in the middle of the mountains." he stated, waiting for a response from him.

Ryota raised an eyebrow as one of the mortals seemed to be moving right towards him, at first he simply assumed the mortal to be heading in just the same direction and perhaps was not planning to step aside for him but no the mortal stopped and strangely enough asked if he was looking for something. He'd been doing his best to not look as stone faced as possible until the mortal's arrival and even then he'd just allowed himself to show a bit of surprise.
Ryota chuckled as the mortal spoke of pirates, evidently even the mortal plane had some of it's own, perhaps something to look into once he knew if this planet was worthwhile. "Perhaps your pirates aren't quite up for adventure outside of the seas but I am likely not wat you might consider a 'normal' pirate. As for why I am in this.. 'North City' as you called it. I am looking to repair my ship which rather badly damaged recently. Why is it you felt the need to seek me out?" Ryota said as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Miles raised an eyebrow, he was almost sure that this was the agent out to get him to the transportation at this point. But, something was off about him, something he couldn't quite put his finger on. "I see, so you're not a normal pirate?" he replied, chucking. "Well, I could help repair your ship, i've had some experience with technology." he said, putting his gloved hands into his pockets and looking to the ground for a moment. "Of course, that's only if you're willing to lead me to it, what do you say?" he asked, raising his head back up.
"Not like there's any harm in it, I'm sure if I started anything you and your crew could handle me no problem, huh?" he said, deciding to get to answering Ryota's own question. "The reason I'm seeking you out? Well, you could say that I'm looking for transport." he answered, his expression becoming just a hint more serious than it was before. He removed one of his hands from it's respective pocket to scratch the back of his head, waiting for a response for a Ryota. At this point he could only pray this guy wasn't serious, because if he was he was probably in for a serious detour.

Ryota's interest was finally perked once the mortal mentioned that he had some experience with technology, from what he'd seen of the city and the more basic technology available he could tell that these mortals were fairly advanced with a likely chance of having the parts the crew would need to repair the ship. However having a mortal capable of aiding in the reconstruction would do wonders as it would make the integration of the mortal technology far easier.
"I suppose if you are capable of helping me then it would be a fair trade for me to provide you with the transport you require. As for you causing any trouble..." Ryota took a quick moment to look the mortal over and get a reading on his power level a bit below his own power, likely enough to give a good fight even but definitely nothing to worry about once the aura was up. As well his men weren't exactly pushovers. "I don't believe you would be much of an issue." Ryota said with a grin.
"However i suppose the only issue would be of you actually getting to the Galleon as in it's current condition it would take far to much effort for me to bring it down to the planet itself I would need to open a rift with my blade for you to get there. Is this fine with you?" Ryota asked as he placed his hand on his hilt of his demon blade, a cutlass hidden away within a ornate black and gold sheath.

Miles smirked, it seemed like he accepted. This guy seemed to be the one that would take him over to where he needed to go. However, Miles was a bit caught off when the pirate-like figure had mentioned something about his ship being unreachable, not even on the planet. Then, the man proceeded to mention something about opening a rift with his sword to get to his ship, this was starting to get just a little bit odd. "Well, if you insist. I suppose we could settle with that." he said, a bit of unsure of Ryota now as he continued to scratch the back of his head.
Miles would begin to gather his Ki in case this little adventure would turn out to be something he was now fully expecting: a complete detour. "So, I'm assuming the Galleon is the name of your ship, huh? Convenient that it has the same name as one of those fifteenth century warships." he pointed out, Miles knew about his fair share of history. After that he remained silent, waiting to see if Ryota was truly serious about opening a rift with his blade as he said he would.
"Anyway, I'm ready when you are." he said, reassuring the man that was Miles was intent on going to repair the ship of his. "In any case, my name is Miles Pierce, you can just call me Belphegor. You?" he asked, it was only polite to give someone your name after they gave you theirs, so he was kind of expecting a response. Then again, this guy was some random pirate in the middle of the mountains, the average response isn't to be expected.

Ryota simply shrugged at the mortal's mention that the Galleon shared a name with a mortal style of ship, demons enjoyed venturing out into the mortal plane to try and prove themselves superior to the mortal races, there was always a chance of cultural bleed and that could very well have been an instance of such though Ryuota really had no clue weather it would have been the Demons or the Mortals who created the concept of the Galleon first, he had learned that the Captain had been a rather old demon in his own right and had himself inherited the Galleon.
"Good, now just give me a moment an I shall open the rift so we may pass through." Ryota said as he drew his blade from it's sheath, the blade seemed to glow a dull purple for a moment as Ryota did so before settling back to normal. Ryota gave his blade a few quick test swings before taking a hard arching swing at the air next to himself and 'Miles' as the mortal had identified himself as. "There we go." Ryota said with a grin as the rift stabilized revealing the deck of the Demon Galleon bustling with activity as various demons of not-so-human shapes moved about working to repair the ship.
Ryota turned back to face Miles with a grin. "My name is Captain Ryota of the Demon Galleon, I've earned a few nicknames but I doubt any of them have made there way here to the mortal plane. Step through the rift and you will arrive on the Galleon." Ryota said as he signaled over two of his crew. "Guard the rift, let no mortal inside. Mr. Belphegor here may be are key to repairing the Galleon." Ryota said receiving a nod from the two demons as they stepped through the rift and stood on either side of it.

Miles shrugged, expecting the entire thing about the rift to be some kind of joke. I mean, breaking through the fabric of space would be impossible, wouldn't it? Then again, the average person says Miles is impossible, so who knows what kind of other strange abilities are out there in the world. His eyes widened as the man who identified himself as Ryota, Captain of the Demon Galleon opened a portal in front of Miles eyes. "Amazing." he said, a hint of surprise in his voice.
Miles could see the figures on the other side of the portal, inside the ship. Some of them looked human, some of them looked mutated, some looked strange, some of them even looked outright impossible "That's you're crew?" he asked, as Ryota signaled over two of his crew members, which seemed to be able to see him and Ryota as well. They traveled out of the portal, as Ryota seemed to instruct them to guard it until Miles had completed what was now required of him.
Oh great, just what did he get himself in to this time? Miles wondered as he stepped through the portal, glancing at the myriad of strange creatures that were working on the ship. Needless to say, Miles got a few glances back himself, but they were far too busy actually working on the ship to stand there staring at him like he was some kind of mutant. "Anyway, I guess I should get working. . ." he said, trying to take a good luck at the ship to see just what exactly was the problem. "So, mind telling me how your ship got this damaged? It'll help me in figuring out how to fix it the quickest." he asked, glancing over to Ryota for an answer.

Ryota chuckled as he watched Miles' reaction to the Galleon, it was fun to watch those unused to the workings of a Demon sip see it for the very first time he'd seen it a few times before on a few new recruits to the ship that he'd picked up but Miles' reaction was even better as the mortal likely only knew what ships were like on this planet.
"Yes these two are members of my crew. Everyone you see on the ship is a member of the Galleon's crew and each of us is some variety of demon." Ryota said as he followed Miles through the rift onto the ship. He took a quick look around giving a few glares to those who paused there work to gawk at Miles. "Ah yes, one moment." Ryota said as he took another look around this time focusing in on a demoness up near the crows nest of the ship."Keyra has the burst engine cooled off enough to be worked on yet?" Ryota called out to the demoness.
The demoness in question flipped herself upside down to look at the captain giving him a grin before leaping down from the crows nest to the deck. "Yeah Cap it should be, Tarok and Kiga managed to make some headway just after you popped down to the mortal planet." she said before turning to take a look at Miles giving him a questioning look before looking back to Ryota. "This is Belphegor, he might be able to help with the engine. Feel free to go back to bothering Kiga." Ryota said earning a grin and a salute from Keyra as well as a wave to Miles before she scurried back up to the crows nest.
"Alright then, sorry about that. Yes well the problem is with are secondary engine, it was a piece of technology created by the previous captain of the Galleon that he named the 'Burst Engine" it was designed with the purpose of giving us a way of escaping from a situation we could not properly deal with are selves. I'm afraid to admit that I wasn't quite sure exactly how it get us out. Evidently it brought us from the Demon Realm into your side, the Mortal Realm."

"So some sort of secondary engine made for a means of quick escape. No insult to whoever installed it, especially considering he somehow made an engine powerful enough to create a wormhole to a different dimensional plane but uh. . ." Miles glanced around, examining the ship for a couple of moments. ". . .I think physics decided to take its toll on your Galleon." he said, scratching the back of his head. "I'll have you know there shouldn't be much if any damage to crucial areas of the ship, depending on how well this ship was built it just needs a couple of replacement parts and it'll be up and running in no time at all." Miles concluded.
"What you're looking for is at Metropolis Island, it has the absolute best technology on this planet. And since it's an Island it should be self-explanatory they won't be clueless when it comes to vessels like this one." he explained, taking out a map of the Earth, it was what he used to find his way to North City in the first place. "You can keep this, I'm sure you need it more than I do." he said, extending his hand with the map over to Ryota.
"Whatever the case, until you get the proper parts there's nothing I can particularly do besides just be another member in your repair force." he admitted, deciding to explain himself as to why he wasn't going to be able to help as much as he had originally planned. "After all, even if I am experienced in technology, your crew will be far more experienced with the ship than me. I'm assuming since you're demons you've probably been in it for at least a hundred years or something." he assumed, rubbing his chin.
He felt like he was ranting for a moment, and decided to stop. "If you want, I can give you a list of the parts you need so that you can obtain them." he said, he figured that since Ryota went through the trouble of showing a mortal his ship and crew, Miles should speed up the process as much as possible. "But, that's about it."

"Hrm.. well I suppose it's good to know that at the very least the Galleon won't require too much work. If what your thinking is right then perhaps we should invest in a few upgrade to the Galleon to make it a bit better at surviving a trip between the Mortal and Demon realms, it wouldn't exactly be a good thing if this happened on the way back." Ryota said as he took the map from Miles giving it a quick look over just to identify where this Metropolis Island was, finding it relatively easily he rolled it back up and picketed it.
"Now while I'm a bit sad to hear that you cannot help us with the actual repairs that list of parts would be a great help to the effort, in return I believe I still may be able to help you get where you needed to go. Would you like to see the rest of the ship? Perhaps then you might be able to give a bit more information on what your planet will have available for the repairs. I already have a few of my crew working to not what we need but those lists will be of materials from the Demon Realm since that was what the ship was built with." Ryota said as he began walking across the deck giving a motion for Miles to follow.

Miles nodded in agreement to Ryota's assumption "I agree, especially since you were escaping from someone, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to realize that their targets came back in worse condition than before." he assumed, taking out a piece of paper and pen from his pocket as he saw Ryota's signal, deciding it would be best to follow him and take a tour of the ship so he knew exactly what parts were necessary for a complete repair. "It'll also prove an advantage to use materials from the Mortal Realm, after all, I'm sure those from the Demon Realm wouldn't expect a ship such as yours to be using mortal technology." he added.
Miles scanned his surroundings carefully as long as he was on the ship, receiving a few glances from the crew members in return as he walked through the Galleon with Ryota. But, the reactions of the individuals were mixed. He was a mortal after all, to ever meet a Demon and survive, much less willingly work in tandem with them to help reach their goals would be rather odd. "So, I'm assuming that your crew doesn't venture to the mortal world often, huh?" he asked Ryota.

"You'd be surprised, the man who taught me what I know and also the last captain of the Galleon once told me that a few of the bigger pirates have a bit of mortal technology mixed among there ships from the times that they ventured into the mortal realm, likely the technology was simply salvaged from what mortal planets they managed to raid before being driven back to the demon realm. To my knowledge however the Galleon itself lacks any mortal technology. At least for the moment." Ryota said as he ran a hand across one of the Galleons bannisters.
"Perhaps it will add enough of an advantage to make my ship all the more formidable next time I encounter them." Ryota said more to himself than to miles as a dark grin spread across his face. When Miles spoke again he shook his head pulling himself out of his thoughts.
"Few if any of my crew have ever been outside the Demon Realm, it's generally very difficult to move between the Realms and this is all a very... new experience. I have to say I had not quite expected to see the Mortal Realm this early in my lifetime. If you are in any way a measure of strength among the more fighting adept mortals I'd have to say seizing control of the Mortal Plane will be a far more difficult feat than I'd ever imagined." Ryota said with a laugh as he continued walking.
"Yes I and the whole of my crew will need to be far more powerful before that day can ever come. But enough of the future. How goes the list?" Ryota said as he turned to Miles once again giving him a grin, obviously without a care in the world that he'd just told Miles his plans to one day conquer the mortal realm.

"Oh, so you mean Demons utilizing mortal technology for an advantage isn't unheard of? A shame that it won't provide as much of an advantage as I had originally expected." he said, beginning to jot down areas of the ship that seemed to be in desperate need of immediate repair for it to be operable. "However, if it does lack any mortal technology then I guess it'll still provide quite the advantage in a decisive battle." he concluded, continuing to jot down the necessary parts for the ship's quick and complete repair. He disregarded Ryota's statement to himself, it didn't seem to consider him, it's not like he was part of his crew or something after all.
"A new experience, huh? I imagine. . .My race, the Humans, typically don't have any abilities whatsoever, I'm just a rare occurrence in my Race specifically." he said, scratching the back of his head. "However, there are plenty of aliens around that are naturally able to get a lot stronger than I am with a lot less effort. And let's not forget robots, too; Soon enough they'll be amazing, but as of yet they're only prototypes as far as I know." he said, informing Ryota of the varying degrees of power in the mortal realms.
"This early in your lifetime? How old are you, anyway? You look like your in your late twenties at best." he said, his eyes glancing back to his surroundings as he continued to write down the required parts, he was starting to run out of room. This ship was in far worse condition than he originally expected, he could see why it would be such a hassle to bring it down to Earth for repair. . .Wait a minute, down to Earth. . .The thought suddenly hit him "How am I breathing!?" he asked out of nowhere, suddenly looking left and right to figure out how he was in space and there was oxygen in the ship.
After a moment, he recomposed himself, hearing the question of how the list of going "Oh, right, the list. . Uh. . " he glances down at it, the paper was full of items, he wasn't sure whether or not Ryota would be thankful about knowing the necessary items or if he would be rather disappointed that Miles was bringing forth to him bad news. "You can take a look for yourself, I suppose." he said, handing the list over to Ryota in the same fashion he handed him the map of Earth earlier.

Ryota nodded as Miles spoke taking in everything that he said about the mortal realm, while his plans for conquering it were far off any knowledge of the world was more than welcome. The fact that Miles was a anomaly amongst his people was an interesting thing to note, perhaps this planet would be a good place to begin his invasion if the humans really weren't that much of a problem. It would provide a foothold inside the mortal realm and the planet itself was pretty nice.
"Interesting, I've never quite liked the 'naturally powerful' sort. Though I suppose theoretically demons may be such a thing to humans. I prefer the idea of earning ones own power through work, something my captain taught me when I first joined the Galleon." Ryota said with a chuckle as he thought of his first days on the ship when he still lacked a true drive in his life.
"My age? I'm about one hundred and fifty seven years, I'll be celebrating my hundred and fifty eighth year in about a month. I'm unsure how long humans live but comparatively that is still fairly young amongst most demon species, I'm an adult by a far margin but many would still consider me 'young' the eldest demon on my crew I believe is Tarok and he's just shy of seven hundred." Ryota said ignoring Miles' question and mild freak out on how he was capable of breathing for the moment.
"Hm? Oh yes, well we are able to breath due to a mixture of demonic magic and a mostly invisible energy field projected around the ship. Thankfully it held up through the trip though even if it had gone down the magic would have given us enough time to manually set another barrier up though that would have slowed repairs down even further." Ryota said shaking his head as he thought of just how badly things could have gone.
Ryota took the list from Miles once he produced it and took a few moments to look it over, there were quite a few items listed and while he wouldn't admit it for the moment he honestly wasn't sure what many of them really DID as while he knew more than most about the workings of the ship it was Keyra who knew the more intricate details. "Alright, while there are a lot I suppose it's to be expected from something such as this. No doubt this will also cost a significant amount as well so that will need to be dealt with..."
Ryota ran a hand through his hair in thought no doubt any money they DID have would be mostly useless in the mortal realm, pillaging the planet was always an option but then again that might bring about the ire of some of the more powerful warriors of the mortal realm, something Ryota was not entirely comfortable with without knowing how powerful those warriors might be. "What is a good means of obtaining money on your planet Belphegor? I've ran a few ideas through my head on how to obtain the items needed to repair the Galleon but attacking the island you directed me to simply wont work with my limited knowledge of your planets defenders." Ryota asked as he ran his hand through his hair once again still trying to figure out a good plan.
"On a side note do you have any interest on joining my crew? You would be the first non-demon amongst the crew but with a power such as your own I have no doubts that they would accept you in no time. If you truly are a 'rare occurrence' as you stated then perhaps you would flourish better amongst stronger allies than those you might have amongst your own species."
