Year One: Part One
The stars in the cosmos flew past the one window on the space pod that the red majin, Kazama, sat in. He knew off to the sides of him sat the android Drexx, who he was incredibly tempted to call Osiris, the drunken Saiyan Sohko, who was becoming increasingly desperate for some form of alcohol, and their latest teammate the Namekian Orenji. They had all decided, as a group, to leave Namek and head towards this mysterious planet that Sohko had talked about named Earth. Little did he know that over the next five years Kazama’s life and views of life would be changed to something he could never have imagined…
Orenji’s mentor had been very gracious to the ragtag group of adventurers. He had provided them with food and shelter for a couple hours while they all recovered from the crash. Then to their luck the Mentor had manager to get a hold of one of the space ship dealers on the planet, he had quickly made his way over to the village that Orenji and the mentor had called home. Once he had arrived Kazama spoke with the salesman and he agreed that he would show the space pods that he had in stock to the majin before he would buy anything, unlike Sohko who once again nearly blew all of his money on a beaten to hell space pod just like he had on the last space ship he had bought on Vegeta. After a quick inspection of what he was going to buy Kazama handed over the money to the salesman and began prepping the space pod for their departure.
It wouldn’t take very long, he knew that but it was more of a self comforting thing to himself, he had never had great luck with flying through space and whatever he seemed to travel in ended up crashing. So to his great pleasure it would be incredibly reassuring to fly in something that would not fall apart mid way through their trip. Watching the stars zoom past the window was oddly peaceful, it might have been the hibernation gas that the pod released in order to put the occupants, but it was the first time in a long time that Kazama felt at peace.
That peace came to end though as a loud beep echoed throughout the pod. Kazama slowly groaned awake to find that the space pod was no longer travelling through space. Instead for the first time in a very long time the space pod had landed on the planet without crashing in the process. The door slowly opened and bright light illuminated the pod. Kazama slowly crawled out and was greeted to a planet that he had more beauty in one snapshot then he had seen on entire planets.
The green leaves danced on the tree branches while provided cooling shade, the sounds of birds chirping filled the air, the sun warmed the red majin’s skin to a comfortable temperature and the sweet smell of the fresh air filled Kazama’s chest. It was the first time that he was able to truly enjoy something completely peaceful without being sent there to destroy all life that had lived there first. He stood admiring it for a moment; he had to have looked strange to his teammates as they emerged from the space pods themselves.
The group discussed amongst themselves for a moment in which direction they should head. Sohko was adamant on heading towards the closest spot he could get alcohol. Orenji had begun to grow annoyed at the constant insistence of finding some form of liquor. It was clear from the look on his face. Personally Kazama didn’t care, it appeared Drexx didn’t care either but Sohko’s implied intention was correct. Find a place that was populated and from there they would decide what to do. Kazama lifted off the ground and began to fly towards what he could sense to be the most populated area nearby. From what the majin could sense there were thousands upon thousands of nearby, from what he could tell this was going to be the largest settlement that he had ever seen.
It was true, it was the biggest and it certainly was the busiest place he had ever been. There were many people scurrying around to their unknown destinations, brushing past each other without even taking notice of what each other looked like or who they happened to touch. That was true even to the people that past Kazama. The hustle and bustle of the city was unbelievable and overwhelming to Kazama. People would continually bump into him with no regard of his very existence. The others seemed to be able to move through the crowds with ease like they had done such things before but to Kazama the bright lights and hundreds of people around him. He spun on his heels as he looked around in a circle. When he stopped he locked eyes with a person who seemed fascinated with him. Kazama was not sure why but he could not break eye contact with the person. They both stood there for what felt like an eternity before the person screamed at the top of her lungs. The people around him all turned and began to yell and scream as well.
Panic washed over the crowd as people fled from the very sight of Kazama. The majin turned quickly to look towards where his teammates were to discover that they had been carried away by the sea of panicked humans. Some in their fear began to throw objects at Kazama, anything from rocks to shoes, which began to peppering the Majin. As the onslaught of petty objects continued Kazama fought the urge to just begin to unleash wave after wave of ki attacks but he knew that if he was going to turn a new leaf here on Earth that was not the way to start.
Kazama instead took off, with a quick dash that turned into flying just above the ground. The objects continued but fell short by a large margin as Kazama ducked into an empty alley. He calmed himself down but where anger resided confusion quickly filled its place. Questions flew through the majin’s head at light speed. Why was the woman screaming? Why at the sight of him did everyone flee? Was everyone afraid of red men on this planet? Was it really worth coming to Earth if this was how everyone going to act towards him?
The majin paced back and forth as he heard the crowd off in the distance. They had turned into what sounded like an angry mob now. Kazama sighed to himself as he thought back on all of the people he had been ordered to exterminate. Some had begged and pleaded while others like the crowd tried to mob Kazama in an attempt to drive him off. Neither ever worked as Kazama always followed through on the jobs he had been given.
As Kazama readied himself for what seemed to be another massacre a paper blew down the alley and landed directly in the majin’s face. He swatted futilely at the paper before being able to pull it forward where he could read it:
Scratched on the bottom of the paper was what appeared to be the location of the school. The idea flashed through his mind that perhaps Kazama would be able to find a teacher who could help him become even stronger. Though in his entire life he had never run into such a person, Kazama continued to look over the paper. Then he made up his mind and looked over in the direction that he could feel Sohko and Orenji.
He was going to head towards this New Crane School.

For those that wish discipline, strength and honor through training come find the New Crane School. Founded by Tienshinhan carried on by the honorable Jorlaxl.
