Komatsuna left the sword school in Central City Ruins in order to go train and think. Carmine had said he would need to train the mind and the body in order to get back his sword, and only then would he be prepared to move on. Komatsuna decided the best way to do this would be to take turns meditating and training in the middle of nature. After all, hadn't all the greatest minds meditated under waterfalls? Komatsuna wasn't sure he wanted to go quite that far, but thinking about his life so far wouldn't be too bad. A lot had happened in just the past two months, what with Serori, leaving his "home" planet, saving the lady from the group of thuggies, and meeting the mysterious stranger...he certainly had a lot to think about.
Komatsuna walked a ways into the wild outside of Central City Ruins. He didn't want to hear, see, or smell the city, as it would ruin his concentration. When he found what he thought of as a suitable clearing, he took off his shirt, feeling the slight breeze against his skin, and rolled his pant's legs up. He remembered what Serori had taught him about her martial arts fighting style. He had been practicing most of the stuff she had taught him, so as not to forget. He remembered back to the first thing she ever taught him, and tried it out for the first time in what felt like forever.
He started by putting his right foot out, doing a lower block with right hand. Then, he came around with his left side, and did a lower-middle kick with his left foot, aimed at the solar plexus. He proceeded to step forward from the right, and give a right punch towards the nose. Now, bringing his left foot around the back, he used the torque from the spin to push himself back a little, and slammed his elbows back at an angle. Komatsuna did all this from memory, a very fond memory. He'd liked Serori, more than he would ever admit. But he didn't let his thoughts get in the way of his training, so he continued. He back-fisted with his left hand, brought his right foot around 180 degrees so he was facing the front again, and did two punches, both aimed at the stomach. Another kick, with the left foot, also at the stomach, and then immediately brought his right foot around for a kick to the face. He placed his right foot down, stepped forward from your left, and pushed with both hands, palm forward. If there had been an enemy in front of him, he would have either fallen hard against the ground, or been pushed against a tree. Komatsuna smiled, pleased that his memory had not failed him.
He looked at the tree that his potential enemy would have hit. Something caught his eye, and he looked past the trunk, at what appeared to be another person. They were doing some training as well. Intrigued, Komatsuna watched a while, noting the different style they were using. He appeared to be practicing with a fake spear. Komatsuna gathered this from the thrusts the new person was making. If he was using a practice bow-staff, he would not be thrusting, but rather swinging with the two ends. Komatsuna watched entranced for a while, until the man stopped. Taking this opportunity, Komatsuna decided to introduce himself.
"Good evening, sir! I noticed you were training. I hadn't seen you until just now, and I was training myself. I noticed you were using a technique I had never seen before. Would you be interested in teaching me a little? And maybe I could show you some stuff as well, and after, we could spar?" He left this finishing question up in the air, for this new person to answer.
