Kotan was utterly and completely flabbergasted, exasperated and frustrated with this small child. He was experiencing all three emotions at once, and he felt like he could just go Kaio-Ken and frighten some sense into the child. But that was against everything Kotan stood for. Scaring a kid was against his morals, and would sicken him to the very core of his being. Kotan couldn't let Brenden go for a Dragon Ball hunt on his own. He needed some to protect him. Someone who could fend off bad guys, and get the Dragon Balls when they were out of reach. “I'll be back in a minute.”
Kotan powered up and flew into the air and flew right towards Satan City, and activated his Kaio-Ken, flying at his full speed with the Kaio-Ken powering it up to its maximum. And he got there within two minutes, and he landed right near Maria. “Maria, listen.....” He then gave her a quick run down on his conversation with Brenden. “I will guard him during this search with my life. I will make sure he stays out of trouble, taking it at my own risk. And I will bring him back safely. I swear.”
Kotan didn't give her a lot of time to answer. His aura came around him, and he then flew into the air, and back towards Central City. He once again used his Kaio-Ken technique to get there within only a few minutes. Looking at Brenden, he walked beside him and said “Your mother knows I'm looking after you. The minute we find all seven balls and grant the wishes, you're going home. Your mother was sick and worried earlier, and still is.”
