Komatsuna handed his sword over to Carmine. It was a beautifully crafted piece of work, it had taken his dad 16 years to craft it. It shone with the perfect hue of gray and blue, fine tempered steel, and hadn't even taken a nick in its use, thought its use had been sparse. The handle was wrapped in aged leather, pommel nothing fancy, just used to balance the weight of the blade. Speaking of balance, it was perfectly balanced, weighed in the hand as if nothing. As a whole, it was definitely made to be used, not to show off, though it had a regal look to it that could turn any swordsman's eye to stare at this work of beauty.
As Carmine looked over his sword, Komatsuna turned to the other man who was standing there. He was blond, and looked to be about 18. He had nodded to Komatsuna when Koma had walked in, and Koma had inadvertently forgot to acknowledge his nod. He took the opportunity to bow, as a sigh of respect, so this man, and when he straightened back upright, he introduced himself.
"I am Komatsuna. I'm sorry I did not acknowledge your greeting, I was just overwhelmed by the school. I'm not sure how much you heard from me talking to Carmine, but I am an android (Komatsuna was getting more used to saying this) and I came from Vegeta, where my dad works as a metal-smith. I'm here to train to become a better swordsman, and do what I can to help the world be a better place." Komatsuna bowed again, embarrassed by his mistake.

Zach stood by for a minute or two while Carmine and the newly arrived young man conversed. He thankfully couldn’t hear much of what they were saying, otherwise the blonde’s temper would likely have reared it’s ugly head at the very mentioning of the wretched planet of the apes. The two seemed to be discussing swords now, a subject Zach had little interest in, after all, real men don’t need weapons to fight. Eventually though, after their guest handed his sword over to Carmine, he acknowledged Zach and introduced himself. The introduction was a bit long winded and at first Zach didn’t know whether to be curious or punch the machine in the face.
‘Ugh, now the monkeys are making robots and sending them here? This is getting out of hand.’ The teen grumbled in the safety of his own mind. But Kami’s urging that he show a little restraint was bugging him not to tare the machine to pieces right there, after all, it wasn’t actually a monkey and for all he knew, this ‘father’ was in fact a human living on their dirt ball of a planet.
“Hmmm. Name’s Zach.” the boy replied and paused a moment, considering how to expand on his neutral response and not let either curiosity or his temper show. “If you are looking for weapons training, you’ve come to the right place. From what I’ve been told Carmine is pretty good, although I can’t say that from experience, I never use the things myself.”

Carmine examined Komatsuna's sword. It was clearly a nice piece of work, elegant in its own simple way. He checked the balance on it, gave it a few swings, and finally tossed it up, letting it turn over in the air a few times before catching it once again.
It was clear to Carmine what style this blade was most suited for. It was no jian, no chokuto. It would require as much strength as speed to wield to its best efficiency. He nodded, and approached the small garden that had been placed in the center of the entrance hall. Half zen garden and half flower garden, it featured a large rock in the center, almost a small boulder.
He waited for Zach to finish his introductions, and then smiled at Komatsuna.
"I've got the perfect training for you to start with. It's regrettable, but I'm leaving soon for a few days to take care of some important business off-world. Thankfully, your training can begin without me. Something we believe in this school is that the body and mind must be as well-tempered as the weapon. It is not impossible to be disarmed, and while training here it WILL happen to you - I'll make certain of it. So, Komatsuna, it's time for you to temper your body and mind."
With that, he charged Komatsuna's sword with a bit of his own ki. The blade looked almost as if it were glowing red-hot. In one swift motion, he turned and plunged the sword into the garden's big stone. With a loud crack, the blade was wedged in there good.
"When you can get that thing out without destroying the rock, then you're ready to progress."

This was Carmine speaking to Komatsuna, after Koma had finished talking to Zach. He then put some of his own Ki into Komatsuna's sword, and it glowed red hot. With this, he shoved it into a rock next to what Komatsuna assumed was Carmine's garden, and it settled with a loud crack. Carmine told Koma that when he was able to get his sword out of the rock without breaking it, he would be able to progress.
"You, my sword, what did you, but, its, in the rock?! No way, I, my dad made that, and, but, aaaaagh!" with a cry of despair, Komatsuna grabbed the handle of the sword, and pulled with all his might. It was his most prized possession, his only real possession, and he was not going to have it stuck in some rock. But no matter how hard he pulled, it wouldn't move even an inch. Finally Komatsuna gave up, with a determined grimace on his face, and bowed to Carmine.
"Forgive me of my outburst, sir. I will not fail you. I will train both my body and my mind in order to get my sword out of the rock. If you could show me to my room, and the training area, I would be much obliged. Thank you Master Carmine."

The robot’s reaction, or rather lack of a reaction, indeed almost completely ignoring what he’d said was the kind of thing that motivated Zach to pound rude people’s faces into the pavement. He didn’t know of Carmine had picked up on his anger with the machine but the guy something that just made Zach’s day. The blonde watched and had a difficult time holding in a chuckled as Carmine heated the robot’s sword to temperatures sufficient to melt stone and then proceeded to insert the weapon into one of the larger rocks in a garden off of the dojo’s main corridor.
The robot’s reaction to that was priceless and Zach could no longer hold his laughter in any more, snorting and then finally breaking into a full fledged laugh. ‘Serves him right for thinking he can win fights with a lousy pig sticker.’ the teen thought to himself.
“Hmhmhm… Well, I should be going I guess. I don’t think he’s going to be getting that back any time soon and you’ve got some coaching to do.” Zach started. “Tell the Captain I’m sorry I missed him. I’ll drop by again some time to say hello and what not. See you later Carmine.” the boy continued as he turned towards the exit and started off.
{I’ll be departing this topic as it’s clearly become a two person training topic. Power level increase requested. Heavy weights are in effect.}

Yoko who had heard the news of some new school opening that would teach people how to fight. Yoko thought that it would be a wondrous idea to go and check it out. She had already met a master from another school that seemed to be a really nice guy, well at least when he was not hitting on his students she thought to herself. Her cheeks started to turn red at the fact as she thought about the past events of her and Toshio. It had only been hours since they sparred and Yoko had run out of the school in a hurry. She could not believe the master of the school what that kind of guy. How could her have the ability to see through things and not tell her, even worse use it on her. The rosy red cheeks of Yoko disappeared and her face was filled with anger.
It had taken Yoko about 20 minutes to calm down. That was just enough time to reach the door of the school. The gates of the massive school were open but oddly enough she did not see too many people walking around or even training. She started to look for other people; at first she could not find a soul. Then out of the blue she heard the laughing of a male. Without as much as a second thought she ran toward the voice. Little did she know she would run into someone she had never thought of seeing?
“Tell the Captain I’m sorry I missed him. I’ll drop by again some time to say hello and what not. See you later Carmine.”
Yoko’s eyes widen as she looked on at the face of the boy who had just spoken. Her mouth opened as though she was about to speak, but no words came out. Her eyes then slowly danced down to his pectorals that bounce with every step. She could just picture him covered in sweat after a good fight. Her eyes then fell to his abs. OH MY, she thought as her hands which were dangling downward start to shake just a tad. Her cheeks started to glow red like a fresh picked tomato. This was the guy I saw on the lookout that one time she thought. He slowly came closer and closer to her. In her head he was walking to her. He was coming to thank her for being there in his time of need. The blonde haired shirtless boy new all about Yoko and he was glad she had finally came to him. Lost in her mind she spoke the words “Hi there” out loud but in her psyche she said Hi their love.
Yet back in reality her eyes never full met his. But she thought so. In those few short seconds of him walking toward her she thought something real had formed. Boy was she wrong.

Carmine pointed Komatsuna to the living areas of the dojo, but smiled at him when he mentioned training area.
"The city is your training area. It's a real hellhole right now, might do you some good to fix it up, or at least learn to navigate the ruins. If you're looking for something a bit more indoors, just about anywhere is fine."
And then there was a new face. A young girl, seemingly distracted by Zach.
"Hello there yourself. Who might you be?"
