Hey guys, still pretty busy but while i was procrastinating I decided to check out what was going on here, and i do have to ask: why is time traveling all weird in this thread? I'm somewhat confused.

This thread was made Aug 8th real time.
Nam and suki's battle only started on the 13th.
What I was always told was that when a thread is started dictates when they occur IC'ly, ((and that they can keep running for as long as you like from there without the IC time actually changing.))

Would that not therefore mean this battle happened before the suki vs nam fight? More specifically I would assume back while suki was still battling everyone at once. ICly this thread has lasted what, like 2 minutes at most so far?(all they've done is a couple of attacks and a bit of diving around in suki's ship). My estimate puts it most likely at suki's 'i've never reached my limits' comment or perhaps even his deathbeaming of Zach if the threads are assumed to be running in tandem.

To me this whole thing is sounding a little dodgy, and while I'm the first to admit my brother's sometimes crass handling of things on the forum, it seeming more and more like you guys are trying to cheat your way into getting suki here early so that (seen as apparently Aice has insisted to him this is a life and death battle, despite it not actually occurring in the saga thread*) he can kill off my little brother's only character.



*his belittling comments despite gleacer's more than x4 advantage also do little to allay my suspicions that (OOC'ly) something fishy is going on here.

The Nam vs Suki fight is occurring the same day as several other threads. Realistically Suki has not actually been on the earth for more than a 12 hour time period, In this time he landed, fought on the lookout, fought on the island, and fought with Nam. Meanwhile his ship was here with Aice and Boki.

Your brother decided that it would be cool to come and destroy my ship, that I have spent quite a bit of zenni on. And I told him that I could not stop him but that from the moment he tried Suki would be gunning for him. So yes, I do indeed plan to kill him if he does not retreat, and that is because he does not in fact hold the advantage that he is boasting about.

Yes, He is stronger than Aice....For 12 second, or perhaps he is forgetting the limitation that he himself set for his character in his transformation. As for Boki, You cannot simply automatically win based on PL, If he would like Boki could transform (Into a form that does last longer than 12 seconds) and pull the same "Im stronger than you so I win" attitude, but thats really no fun to roleplay with is it.

If your worried about Suki returning, that is because this thread is taking up a plot value of time that is hurting my own character progression. I am ready to leave the planet, but cannot until I learn the fate of my ship, and since your brother has been wasting my time for about a week, the thread is nearly at its expiration date anyway, as once a week passes I will just request that the thread be terminated.

We are not trying to get "your brothers only character killed". But he stepped into a situation that make it a very possible reality, and now doesnt want to continue.

It is my understanding that Time is relative to how players react in thread, so why has he not reacted to anything in the Suki vs everyone thread. Lots of explosions and ground shaking attacks. The only person who has made any comment about that was Aice, so I can hardly be blamed for planning that myself.

All in all, glaecer pulled what I like to call a "Dick Move" by attacking my ship while it was undefended, Hell if I had not made my henchmen AND Aice hadnt come to join, my ship would be a pile of smoldering rubble, and you, wouldnt care less, because your brothers character would still be alive. There are actual stakes to be had in this fight, and that means if he loses, he can easily lose the life of his character.

He should think before he acts.

Thank you Suki for composing that reply so well. I've essentially told him the same in PM but he seems to want to refute it. Being an administrator I fail to see why he'd want to argue with me, but if he keeps up with the attitude I'm going to give you the green light to rip him in half and leave. I even said explicitly, "Stop Stalling."

Frankly I am not even looking to kill him, I just want to get on my ship and leave, and until this thread is resolved I cannot do that, so could I instead request that if this fight cannot move forward, that the thread be terminated, and the outcome be considered a stalemate?

Suki, I specifically pm'd you about all this stuff well(months) in advance so that you could say 'no i don't want you to attack my ship' and make sure everything was all cool with you. Back then you replied with (on reflection) vague replies which seem to indicate you were ok with it, only later(now) finally telling me that you'd changed your mind about the whole issue and didn't actually want me to attack/destroy your ship at all.

That's ok in the end, we're all human and you're allowed to change your mind, but still i made every effort to try and run this through the proper channels so as not to step on any toes, but it becomes a little hard when you start moving them around.

And even if I did destroy your ship, why would you have buy another one? You've already paid for your ship, that would just be dicky if admin made you pay again simply because I attacked it. The only result i was expecting was a time delay while your goons are set to work rebuilding the damage, the purpose of which being to give boliko his chance to fight you by making you unable to run again so quickly (glaecer having joined boliko's team back on namek).

As the case is, since I no longer have your blessings nor does the apparent life and death status of this thread seem to give me permission to even cripple your engines, I won't be doing anything to your ship anyway(and pretty much had already decided on that back when you first said you didn't want me to do it) and only decided to stick around to play out this fight(for fun) with Boki and Aice (and que up the first hints of joining your team, if suki has turned a new leaf like you were seeming to indicate).

As for the bit about 12 seconds: That is the safety switch on his metronome, so you are indeed correct that it is how long I have imposed on myself for the transformation to last. However, he is not forced to return to his base pl after it runs out and I'm not sure what exactly is giving you such an impression. If he continues to hold it after the time limit expires, he will go straight to his lifeforce.

The whole thing about his metronome trans was that for 12 seconds he can gain access to a higher percent of his own power, without the ill effects he usually experienced from using his life force. When the time runs out the safe period is over and the device shuts down, meaning that if he's still holding on to his full power that the whole thing comes out as per normal.



And I wouldn't haven't really reacted because we're a whole continent away and the battle isn't as intense as it ends up getting in the nam vs you fight, it would seem kinda silly to have glaecer turn, shocked and say "my god, i can sense suki has wounded a guy i never met" or "I can sense suki talking" XD. It didn't seem to make much sense to do so.



Either way, with Zach's second pm (just now) means all my questions have been answered and i will try and get up my reply when i get back from school.

((ha, don't worry suki I have him trained pretty well . He knows not to go messing with peoples stuff if they don't want him to and to send out pm's in order to organise things before he tries to do anything rash. That's only fair. He may act like a bit of a derp sometimes but he's a nice kid.

(and to answer your earlier statement, no I probably wouldn't have minded if he blew up your ship and lived, because I knew that he'd already gone to you about organizing it. Though I'd probably criticize him relentlessly for sticking it up in the wrong thread somewhere or writing it out poorly, as i usually do
If he'd gone and done it without permission though i would have lambasted him thoroughly and told him to delete that shit until he pm's you to make sure it's ok first. Probably would have called him some mean names too, cause I'm actually a nasty big brother like that )

I'm a little disappointed with you though Zach. Asking for clarification on vague statements like 'if they dodge then they dodge' and on how power level advantage/disadvantage works with higher differences hardly constitutes 'being argumentative'. If you get annoyed about answering these sorts of questions then why not explain them better in the rules threads?

It pretty clearly laid out that within 90% and people are considered equal, and they need atleast 80% to even stand a chance of winning(though still unlikely), but it doesn't explain how lower values work at all. Following the logic presented, one would assume that if the person is only a half, a quartar or a tenth of your power, for example, then you should be able to lord over them without any chance of contention. (in the same way characters in dbz often did after transforming or reaching a new level of strength.)

I pointed out that suki's power being a bit over 4 times higher than his own maximum means suki is likely to pretty much be able to straight out god-mod his death and it actually be allowed. I mean, you did kinda blow up mt paozu after all XD.]

Yet from what you(Zach) were indicating this isn't the case, and that someone could still dodge or block and have it actually work. Yet the rules also say that dodging stuff you shouldn't be able to is god-modding and thus not allowed. So it's a little confusing to work out where the distinction lies.

So a better explanation in the official thread would not go astray, esspecially to avoid 'stalling' like this from occurring again...

Taking the reigns here. Sorry Zach I know you hate it when other admins jump in, and its not that you are not handeling this well, but I think this could use a second admin.


I will address these issue's in the following order, the table of contents reads.

Power levels are a basic guide to help better understand the energy a person is capable of. Somebody with a higher powerlevel could....

Produce more attacks
Produce stronger attacks
Have a higher dodge percentage
Have greater endurance, speed or strength (Not necessarily all of the above.)

Someone at Glaecer's level is not yet strong enough to really be considered "stronger" that other members around his level (Like Suki's henchmen who is just under 20k of you in his transformation) This means that while Glaecer would be better at certain skills, he is by no means wholly superior to either of these two opponents.

The 80% rule that you are continually misquoting says

"To clear the gap between more powerful characters against weaker characters, the weaker character needs to have at his or her disposal at least 80% of their opponents Power Level. While a fight under these circumstances are not entirely even, the better player can often win against the odds."

Which I should enphasize that even in cases where it is below 80 (Which would make them even with a small advantage to the higher side) That the better role player, strategist, or fighter can ultimately win.


Auto Hits are never acceptable under any circumstance. Never has their been a situation that a hit was automatic simply because a person always has full control of their character. That means even Suki in fifth form would have to attempt the hit on Glaecer. Now granted, Glaecer dodging each hit would be God Modding, but that is up to the player to know his character's limit, there is no set number of dodges allowed.

As for Killing, I can make this very simple. Are you forcing a situation? Example: Meishi attacks central city and begins destroying it, Anyone can step in and try to stop him, killing included. In your case, you were planning to blow up suki's ship, which for him meant that his ship would be destroyed, he would have to get a new one. This means that you are forcing the situation, Suki has no option but to fight to defend his ship, or let it get destroyed.


Transformation's are easily the most abused on this site. Your transformation is meant to be a story enhancer, and so many people use it as an excuse to win. If you enter a fight thinking that you have to win because of your PL or transformation, you are not here for the right reason. In Glaecer's case he has two transformations. The metronome which as you said gives you a twelve second boost of power, and your Life Force, which is as it describes draining your life. Since from the very start of this you activated your transformation, you gave no time for building up, and jumped straight in, that means yes, starting very soon your character will either lose the trans, or have to use your life force, which of course is killing you anyway. Each trans has different effects and powers, and if you play every one like its super saiyan your going to abuse it. Kaioken is meant for short bursts, much like your metronome.

Posting OOC is actually what got me involved here. You guys have used an entire PAGE of this thread posting out of character so let me help ease the burden on this thread. If you are not a part of the thread, you dont post in it period, sorry Virion but that one is directed at you. If you have an issue with the battle feel free to post in the OOC area, preferably in the suggestion area since you are making a suggestion about a fight. Next, if you are in the battle and have a question, PM it first before posting OOC here. So suki, next time you don't understand what Glaecer said, just PM him, it really is cleaner and easier to do. Finally, if an Admin posts something here...its important so do it. Rather than the fight continuing it has STILL been stalled, and the entire purpose of zach's work with this thread has still gone unfulfilled.

I dont know if he was being argumentative or not, but if Zach said he was, I am inclined to believe him, especially the way this entire thread is turning out, so instead of questioning it, just move on.


Finally, and most importantly of all, I want to talk about planning and asking permission. Its true that asking permission is not required, but as Virion said it is MUCH safer to do it that way, you wouldnt want an angry Icer lord after your ass. That said I have read your PM conversation with suki where he specifically said that "I can't stop you from attacking my ship". That hardly constitutes permission, or him changing his mind later. Its not really all that vague either. Now was it a direct no, no I suppose it wasn't, but if you are going to claim you asked permission, at least make sure you know what you are talking about.

Planning is exactly how you get things done here. If you were really out to make this a fun thread, a better method would be to tell Aice or suki that you wanted this to lead towards your possible joining of the WTO, give them a little background to it. Mention that you are not planning to destroy the ship beyond working order, just make a couple holes in it that can be patched up.

Planning is how many great things happen on this site, Virion I am sure will tell you. Talking to other members to progress your character is great. But if you go into a fight saying "Look at my PL, I win" nobody will want to roleplay with you. Because this site is not about winning, its about the story.

Think about it. I have 3 million PL, if I wanted to, do you think I could give Suki a run for his money? Yeah, so why not just go super namek and kill him? The story. Why turn evil, why not just make Gurin Kami and stay good. The story. That is what it is really about. If you set out ready to knock heads and knock everyone out, no one will want to include you, and the higher level players like suki, will just get fed up, and pull the same card that you are trying to pull.

So, hopefully this cleared up everything in a well explained light. If you have more questions I dont want to see them in this thread, Please PM them or put them in OOC if you absolutely have to make it public.

Glaecer’s plan did not work they never seem to work. The alien had flipped to the other side of the wall and still remained in the darkness. But Glaecer could not worry now, as Glaecer expected Boki sent his two tornadoes to intercept, Glaecer swiveled around the first and arched diagonally over the second from the distance Glaecer looked like he was doing some sort of slow dance with the two tornadoes.

Glaecer then continued towards boki in full concentration when suddenly a sharp jab passed through his ki sense breaking his concentration and form. At the same time boki sent a downward tornado, Glaecer only just managed to compose himself and bring the debris of the wall in the way of the whirlwind before it wind hit him and even against the wall it was providing a lot of resistance forcing him nearly to the ground.

Glaecer did manage to slowly manoeuvre himself to near the hole in the wall, from here it would be easy to just rocket out the ship and escape his combatants and the imposing Acrosians arrival. Glaecer pushed his psychic power to the limit to drive the debris upwards hopeful terminating the tornado.
Glaecer then burst toward the exit but just before he made it out of the hole in the ship something stopped him.Glaecer could not pin point it, but he felt that he need to address the young emperor before he left this life.

“So come Emperor Tousetsuki, I await your arrival” Glaecer said under his breath remaining in the hole in the ship.

Boki watched as the Icer so gracefully dodged the incoming tornado's. For a last minute manuever it had come out efficiently, and so had his defense of the final blow, catching it with the piece of wall he had torn from the ship.

Lord Suki is gonna be rightly pissed when he see's this!

Boki prepared his arms, two win cyclones forming quickly on each one, expecting the Icer to break through his own wall and attack the alien out of spite, but it didnt happen, and with the remainder of his quick seated transformation it appeared Glaecer had made his way to the exit, with little to no way for Boki to stop him. But the exit? Why?

Regardless he would not stop his attack until the intruder was out of the ship, no sense in trusting his retreat until it was evident that this was exactly what he was going to do.

The two twisters he had avoided were still very much active, and so by redirecting his Ki, would send those two into the small doorway. After releasing the attack Boki heard the words that Glaecer was speaking...

Did he just mention Lord Suki, what in the hell

Boki looked around, he had not felt the earth quake being that he was in the air, but the power was not lost on him. Was it so strong because Suki was here and Boki simply had not noticed him, or perhaps because Glaecer knew something that they did not.

(Sorry for short post, not really involved at this point)

Aice watched from the shadow's as the Boki and Glaecer fought. They did so from a distance and so neither one of them was showcasing any physical strength, but rather were showing off their impressive Ki. The Ticks that were emitting from Glaecer may have been lost on Boki, but not on Aice, his hearing would not be fooled so easily and so he began to deduct its meaning. He had explained being a cyborg, perhaps the ticking was a sign of over exertion. No if that were the case he would at least be powering down. Perhaps it was just the gears in motion within his body. But again that seemed unlikely, not something that distinct.

While Aice fumbled through his mind trying to size up the opponent, Glaecer did something that neither of them had expected he...left. Or rather at least made a dash for the exit. Aice had seen it, such speed was impressive, and yet the ticking continued, once again puzzling Aice.

What was that blasted ticking, what was causing it.
