A Quiet Day In The Plains (Bass)

Bass grinned as he successfully kicked his opponent into the air and then slammed him to the ground. “How do you like that?” he said. But his smirk disappeared when the saiyan began to power up. The power emanating from the guy was tremendous, stronger than anyone Bass had encountered –maybe even stronger than his father’s. The saiyan’s aura flared a white glow and sparks crackled around his body. Then, Bass felt that sharp ki from before, but stronger. As Ozikai began the motion of separating his hands to both sides, he already knew what was coming. Two blue orbs of energy materialized on the palms of his hands, Bass’ large body was a huge target and worked against him in this situation, but he began moving ahead of time. Even though Ozikai’s power and speed had increased beyond compare, his process of creating a blast was unnecessarily slow.

While the saiyan spread his arms, gathered the energy, brought them together and launched the energy wave. His opponent, in this case Bass, would have been able to evade if they already knew what was going to happen; and that was exactly what happened. Bass ducked and rolled to the side as Ozikai would have probably aimed to his chest. So Bass could roll under the attack. The namekian chose good to act ahead of time, because once the saiyan spread his arms, the time between him gathering ki and launching his attack was very short. The mesmerizing blue beam pierced through the sky with great power, bass only barely escaped it. Even though he had ducked and rolled, his size was still rather big and the back of his white Gi had been ripped, burning the namek’s back.

“Ugh!” he winced to the burning sensation. But Bass continued to press on and immediately got on his feet. Ozikai would probably panic to see his opponent out and on his feet while the Kamehameha wave was still pushing on. Bass smirked a mischievous grin at his adversary as he cocked his right arm back, yellow energy began to form into a sphere in the palm of his hands, which turned into an energy wave as he thrust his arm forward and propelled his energy wave towards the saiyan without delay. “HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Ozikai was still stuck with his own energy wave, and Bass’ way of execution was much more simple and fast; although, it was most certainly weaker than Ozikai’s attack. It didn’t mean it wouldn’t hurt though. This was Bass’ lucky break!

Ozikai had failed. His attack was far too slow and took too long to charge up. He would have to work on his Kamehameha’s speed after the spar. His enemy was able to dodge his attack; however Ozikai did manage to hit him. But even with that it was not enough to stop him. Ozikai was focusing everything he had on his attack and did not see what Bass was about to do next. The Namekian was able to get out of the way and fire his own energy wave.

Ozikai noticed that Bass was not where he thought he was. He turned his head and saw the incoming Ki wave heading straight for him. Ozikai panicked as he was still in his Kamehameha. There was no use in trying to escape as there was no way he could get out of the way in time. He did not have enough Ki left to perform his Ki burst so he was basically stuck.

He stayed in the same spot, waiting for it to hit. When it finally did it stopped the Kamehameha and pushed Ozikai backwards. It was not that strong compared to his own Ki wave however it still did damage. While using his Kamehameha and transforming he rapidly lost his energy. Now he was out and he could no longer continue fighting. After the wave was over Ozikai lay on the ground. He used what little energy he had left to stand on his feet.

He slowly approached Bass. However this was not to attack. He extended his arm out, offering a handshake. “That was a great fight but now I cannot continue.” Ozikai was leaving now. “However if you ever want another just ask me.”

Bass’ energy wave hit the mark as planned; the only possible way for him to evade it was if someone else had intervened. Soon, the blue wave that threatened the namek faded and with it, that intense power he was sensing. Now, Ozikai’s power level felt lower than before. But the battle wasn’t over until it was over. Bass raised his fist, preparing for the next attack, but he stopped as his opponent began to lamely walk towards him. Bass was confused until the saiyan spoke. I-I won? he thought. At first he thought it was a cheap trick to drop his guard, but it was soon evident that Ozikai was indeed serious.

The giant namekian began to shrink, as well as his power level, until he was back to his original form and size. He smiled to his opponent and accepted the handshake with a firm grip. “You’re incredibly strong…” bass admitted. It was usual for him to praise another. He loved it when he was the one getting all the compliments, but the saiyan seriously made Bass work. “I look forward to a rematch…” he meant this, but first, he planned on improving his own strength. He only won because he had the mysteries of the namekian people on his side. Ozikai was clearly oblivious to the racial traits of the namekians; they were the most magical creatures.

Bass didn’t want to admit it, with his ego and all, but if they were to fight in a later time; he would lose. He’d lose because Ozikai knew all his tricks, and his tricks were the reason why he won their sparring match. It wouldn’t be as easy to stall for time, the blue haired saiyan wasn’t going to fall for that a second time. This fight was very good for the namekian’s personal growth. He realized that he wasn’t as strong as he thought. But at least his wits and quick thinking were good enough to cover that weakness.

The young namekian watched as the saiyan left, once he was gone. Bass’ legs began to shake and his body loosened as he dropped to his knees. He was very tired, and he now had to rest until the fatigue had ceased. But once it did, he would initiate his training without delays. He needed to improve as fast as possible. The namekian had been shaking ever since Ozikai demonstrated his full power. He couldn’t imagine what might’ve happened if that Kamehameha wave hit; the saiyan was taking the spar a bit too seriously, Bass already lost a limb once, did he want to get him again?

Bass lay down on his back with legs and arms spread apart, under the green sky. The blue grass danced in the wind, which caressed the exhausted namekian. He closed his eyes and a smile lay victoriously on his face as he fell into a deep slumber.

(I'm actually surprised I won. xD I would also like PL, I don't got wieghts. Bummer though, I think I would've gotten HUGE gains... Doesn't Namek have stronger gravity than earth though? )
