Time To Prepare (OPEN)

[Glaecer]

The situation was getting out of hand. Glaecer could tell that this attack was much more than his supressed power could handle. The device in his chest began to slow, before deactivating completely, causing his power surged like a torrent, and his bulk to increase dramatically. His ‘true’ power could easily banish the attack, though he was loathe to use it. He crossed his arms and in one swift motion flipped backwards, as if to dodge the rapidly incoming attack, but at the last moment he twisted and kicked the blast downward. Glaecer continuing in fluid arch, at blistering speed. He came down, overtaking the attack and nearly touching the water, before rocketing back up into the sky, now behind his two assailants.

This action had been executed so quickly(less than a second), that he still had enough time to reach both hands out towards his opponents exposed backs .It was in that moment that the blast made contact with the ocean floor causing a blinding light and massive explosion, vaporising a large volume of the surrounding liquid into a hissing blanket of steam, which rose lazily into the cool air, as the remaining water boiled and heaved below, rushing to fill the gap. When all the light and noise died down Glaecer spoke

“No sudden movements”, came a cold and measured voice.

This would no doubt be the first time either would have noticed Glaecer was behind them. He had charged two balls of energy during the blinding explosion, using the Ki emissions from the blast to mask his own energy gathering, both balls of ki more than strong enough to subdue his opponents (perhaps permanently…)

“Now, we’re going to stop shooting at each other, and by we I mean you two, and by each other… I mean me… by the kais, do you have an extra bicep in place of your brains?... Namekian! I am Glaecer, not the young emperor Touketsuki,I came here to talk. Just talk”

Glaecer would feel the strain as his life force slowly drained away, radiating from his body like heat escaping into the arctic air of his home world.

Ozikai thought for sure that his attack would be able to hit the Icer and do some damage. But there was always ways to get out of such situations. The icer then proceeded to use some sort of transformation he had not seen before. He powered up to an un-imaginable power. If this icer could become as strong as he was now then he could not believe what power Suki must have. The Icer jumped; looking like he was going to dodge the attack but instead he kicked it downwards. There wasn’t really a difference to the outcome whether he had just blocked it or reflected it.

The attack fell into the water below them. A large amount of water fizzled into the air, turning to steam. “No sudden movements” the icer spoke, but where was he? Ozikai turned around and found that he was behind them. The icer had been charging two Ki balls of his own and was ready to fire them. But instead he spoke once more. “Now, we’re going to stop shooting at each other, and by we I mean you two, and by each other… I mean me… by the kais; do you have an extra bicep in place of your brains? ... Namekian! I am Glaecer, not the young emperor Touketsuki, I came here to talk. Just talk”

What could this icer possibly want to talk about? He was going to find out. “Well Glaecer, if you want to talk then we shall do just that. Now what did you come here to talk about?” Ozikai could feel his power. It had to be at least three times his own at the time. Bass was greatly out powered by the two of them now, however if things turned ugly he would need his help.

"Then let us talk, Glaecer of the icer race."

The voice booms from above the three warriors. Boliko, his power hidden, had managed to stay out of sight the whole time. He had come to watch the battle between Ozikai and the namekian, Bass. Glaecer had abruptly shown up and Bass had abruptly picked a fight. Boliko had to suppress laughter. Glaecer most certainly was not Touketsuki; his power was not even close. Boliko could break him like a twig, whereas Touketsuki would be more difficult. He shoots the Namekian an amused look, before turning back to Glaecer.

His power explodes in an aura, which whips away the low-lying cloud and fully reveals his figure. He was wearing the simple white Namekian gi with no shoes, his muscles appearing to ripple beneath the clothing as he slowly drifted closer. His heavy bands were securely fastened around his wrists and ankles. His power would surely make the icer hesitant to do anything rash, lest he wanted to face the Otherworld so soon.

"First off, why are you here and who's allegiance are you with?" Boliko speaks calmly, his voice neutral, but his eyes gleam with a hint of aggression. At any moment he was willing to strike with a killer's speed.

Bass had been grinning widely as their attacks approached the icer. He was sure it would hit. But he was left flabbergasted as the energy waves were redirected downwards, boiling the Emerald Ocean waters and lifting up steam to cloud his vision. The young namek’s eyes widened as he felt slightly hotter around his back, followed by Touketsuki’s voice. He was paralyzed and stunned, unable to react. The power emanating from the icer was a lot more than it had been seconds ago. Bass couldn’t believe it; he was overwhelmed so easily and now stood at the mercy of this lizard. His mouth was wide open…

The icer explained that he was not Touketsuki Yakedo, -but another icer that went by the name of Glaecer. Bass pondered on whether it was true, but if it was, what did this mean for the namekian? If this was in fact another lizard, then it only meant Touketsuki was a lot stronger. Bass’ body began to shrink back down to its normal size as he was utterly discouraged. He was easily beaten by the icer, not even his sneaky tactics would work on him –he wouldn’t have time to even think them. Glaecer moved so fast the namek didn’t even realize the icer had been behind him.

Out of the vapor descended another being; one Bass identified as a saiyan. The man gave a funny look to Bass, but he couldn’t look at the eyes. He was ashamed and he could feel that the man has been witness to his foolishness. –Not only his fool hardy judgements, but his weak fighting ability. How would Bass grow to become the next leader of the Warrior Caste if he was outmatched by so many? He remained quiet as the stronger men spoke while looking down and avoiding eye contact.

[Glaecer]

“I’m going to reactivate my suppressor now”,
he said, allowing the two balls of energy to dissipate. The device in his chest spun back up with a quiet whir, his strained bulk and popping veins subsiding to the more comfortable state of suppression.

"Then let us talk, Glaecer of the icer race." Said a strangely familiar voice

Glaecer whipped around to see another alien but this time he recognised him straight away. The creature that sent out the transmission .The alien power exploded to levels Glaecer had never seen before.

“I do not wish for another fight, I cannot spare anymore of my life force” Glaecer said

"First off, why are you here and who's allegiance are you with?" Asked the alien

“Not Touketsuki, if that is your concern. He is my people’s emperor by lineage, not loyalty… though no one is fool enough to openly challenge him” Glaecer realised only after it slipped out what he was saying,

“ehrm, that is to say, no one’s battle power has allowed them to do so and live.”

Glaecer shifted his gaze slightly

“Well anyway I came here after I heard your transmission, you see I have been tracking down an elusive scientist that goes by the name of Koriza, Thanks to some informants I now know that he sent a transmission to Lord Touketsuki I am hoping that I can get into Touketsuki’s Ship, find the transmission which will allow me to find his location.The problem is I can’t do it alone without my true power which I can’t use without it speeding up my own death,I wanted to ask Blue Hair over here”

Glaecer turned his head to face the blue haired alien

“To help me sneak aboard his ship so I can get the information, but I also extended this offer to you”
Turning back to the saiyan
“And our namekian ‘friend’. Once I get the information you can do what you want with the ship, you don’t seem to be too fond of the young emperor may I suggest blowing it up ((if we are allowed to do that)) if he defeats you he would have no way of making It of this planet”

Glaecer had only just realised his hand was shaking, He suddenly felt weak, one of his legs gave way and he fell into a crouching stance he looked up.
“I don’t have much time, unless I find this scientist my life will end quickly”

Glaecer voice had changed completely his voice was as shaky as his hand and his confidence had vanished from it only fear and desperation remained. His eyes where no longer ones of a brave icer but more similar to a frighten child.

The icer known as glacier powered down. So he was not here to fight, but why was he here? Was he talking about him? Ozikai was the only one here with blue hair so he must have been. So the icer was going to need his help, a creature which such pride asking for help was a rare occasion. “To help me sneak aboard his ship so I can get the information, but I also extended this offer to you” Hmm… what was Ozikai going to do? His loyalty lay with Boliko so he decided to get his opinion on the matter. “Well… Boliko, what do you think of this offer?” Ozikai was curios on what Boliko would say.

Saiyans were not known for their helpfulness when it came to this kind of situations. Although maybe infiltrating the ship was not such a bad idea, while there he could have a look around and maybe find some information. But he decided it would be best to just ask Boliko on what he thought about the whole thing.

Boliko is still as he listens to the Icer, his mind whirring. His stance relaxes a little; this Glaecer did not seem to be an immediate threat. He planned on sneaking aboard Touketsuki's ship, eh? Yeah, good luck with that... the ship no doubt had extremely tight security measures and advanced systems in place to detect intruders. To get on that ship, you'd have to go head-on, and risk immediate death to Yakedo's lackies, or if you were truly unlucky, Yakedo himself - and Glaecer definitely could not take on Touketsuki.

And he wanted to enlist Ozikai on this suicide mission?

"Alright, here's what's going to happen. First off, no way is Ozikai here going to sneak on that ship with you. It's too risky and I need him by my side - however..."

Boliko moves closer to Glacer, his lips twisting upwards at the corners, a grin that looked closer to a grimace. "If you were to help me out in the battle against Touketsuki, his ship should be emptied afterwards; as, well, they'd all be dead. You could easily slip aboard and find the data you need."

Boliko chuckles. "This is, of course, assuming Yakedo is beatable. I think he is, and I think I'm the one who can do it. But, I do need allies to keep his friends off of me during the fight."

His eyes drift away from Glaecer, locking onto Bass's. "Cheer up, you've got a while to prepare for an invasion yet... for you see, I'm going to meet Touketsuki on Earth."

Bass was silent throughout the entire conversation. He was astonished to the man whom Ozikai named ‘Boliko’ speak about defeating Touketsuki Yakedo with such confidence. He spoke those words as if they were nothing. The saiyan then turned to the young namek, telling him to cheer up. But how could a being like Bass cheer up when he had been shown to be so powerless. A being whom was proud of his lineage, his power, and his mind; someone who might as well be a saiyan soul trapped within a slugs body had been demonstrated in the most blunt way possible that he was in fact, no good. The namekian was crushed from the insides, how would he take his father’s place? How could he make them all proud? –If he’s this weak.

Bass couldn’t stand it and quickly spoke up. “Are you by any the chance… the king of Vegeta?” he asked. A man with such power and charisma could only be the one everyone had been speaking of. Namekians and saiyans have had their share of fights in the past, but now they were working together in order to fight a common enemy. “I want to go with you –to earth. I personally, want to witness with my own eyes the death of Touketsuki Yakedo. –Even if it’s not through my own hands…” he said. This was probably the only chance Bass had to not hate himself. He needed to prove to himself that he was just as good as any other; and thus, would fight until his heart stops beating.

(Ikezu suggested it to him and Boliko realised he was going to stick to his normal schedule despite the challenge.)

Glaecer stood back up, angry at himself for showing such weakness in front of these creatures.

“It's too risky”

“Says the man who plans to tackle Lord Touketsuki and his army head on? Or so you seem to think you were doing” replied Glaecer

“Perhaps you are unfamiliar with Kold custom and the process of which you have now taken part, but Touketsuki is bound by Icer law to meet your challenge, if he does not accept within the allocated timeframe his throne is forfeit, and officially you will become emperor of Kold” Explained Glaecer tersely

“Also according to this same law of ascension, the duel must be one on one. Why do you think he has been venturing to these worlds and demanding a champion to represent them? It is our custom… “ Glaecer paused

“…helps keep the genocide to a minimum.” He said with a rueful smirk

“Now Touketsuki could potentially send a champion in his stead to meet your challenge, but from what I’ve seen of your power this would be a foolish move… and lord Yakedo is no fool.”, an edge spite creeped into Glaecer’s voice as he said this.

“Your duel should provide an excellent distraction. While law prevents interference with the fight itself, there is no law against interference in… other matters. If you can draw Touketsuki away from his ship for the duel, then only a smaller task force should remain to defend it. Destroying his ship would trap him on this world, even if he does subvert our customs and cheat in the duel, you would still hold the last laugh…” Glaecer was looking squarely at the Saiyan King,

“Though I suppose if you turn out to be correct, and Touketsuki brings his forces out with him to cheat the duel, that would leave his ship open for infiltration anyway… I had expected this planet to be swarming with strong warriors, your saiyan people… Unless you have them well hidden, it seems that there are very few who have come to your aid.” Glaecer paused, looking towards the two others before returning his attention towards Boliko
“You take a bold risk this day, offering me a position amoung your forces. You appear concerned of interference from suki’s forces… how do you know he hasn’t already sent them here? Under the guise of an ally, ready to strike when the opportunity is right? I see in you a confident out shell, but within it rests the soul of a desperate man.” Glaecer train of thought became clearer, could it be?

“You appear to have fled, escaping to the namekian home world. Tell me, in this challenge of the young Emperor in retaliation to the destruction of your people? Is the saiyan race no more?” Glaecer’s eyes were burning into those of the young Saiyan King, trying to distinguish between mask and man.

Ozikai stood back away from the crowd a bit; he was not needed at the moment. Then Bass spoke up. “Are you by any the chance… the king of Vegeta?” ah so he had figured it out. “Yes Bass, This is the Saiyan king Boliko, He is the reason I had come to Namek, and I came here to help him Defeat Touketsuki Yakedo and the World trade organization.” Ozikai then waited for anything else he had to say. “I want to go with you –to earth. I personally, want to witness with my own eyes the death of Touketsuki Yakedo. –Even if it’s not through my own hands…”

Ozikai was a little surprised by this. Someone who had knew nothing of Touketsuki wanted to see him die… He must have been a truly evil being that was known from across the galaxy. Ozikai would have welcomed any help that they could have got, even if he was a on the weak side, there was always things that he could help with. But it was up to Boliko whether they would take him in or not. “What do you say Boliko, Can the Namek come with us, he can fly with me if he wants.”

(Sorry its short but I don’t really have anything to say about what Glaecer said)

The saiyan king nods at Bass. "You can come with me to Earth." He murmurs, his mind ticking. Perhaps he could train with Jinzon, help his latest Saiyan recruit gain in strength. Either way, he had no reason to deny the Namekian warrior, for he had space on his ship either way. He offers a smile to Glaecer, one that suggested the Icer did not know what he was talking about. "You do not believe I can take Touketsuki head on, sai?"

He continues to listen to the Icer's words, his smile unfaltering. He had considered as much already, but if Touketsuki had sent any men to subterfuge.. well, Boliko could easily destroy them. He was aware of the power he hid inside of him, the latent power of the Super Saiyan (or so, at the moment, the king believed). If one could face Touketsuki head on, then surely it would be the Super Saiyan of legend? The only answer was yes, right? About being desperate... perhaps at one time, but no more. "I was once a desperate man, Glaecer, but no more. I carve my own destiny through the stars."

"The saiyan race has taken a hit. They are not destroyed, but perhaps weakened... but, like always, we shall regrow. I came to Namek not to run, but in search of allies and the strength to fight Touketsuki with others, but few came to my aid. No matter... I alone can defeat him.

Believe it."

Bass smiled softly as the king Boliko accepted his company on the incoming battle. The namekian suddenly felt closer to Touketsuki than he ever was. He had been simply waiting for the invasion to occur, but now he was going to the tyrant instead. The young namek would get his chance to redeem himself at last and perhaps regain the respect he had lost for himself. Being surrounded by so many superior being just made him want to crawl up in a ball, -but he would show the world that namekians weren’t weak slug who could be pushed around. Bass would thrive.

“Hey, Ozikai…” he murmured, getting closer to the saiyan in order to be heard so they wouldn’t interrupt the conversation between Boliko and the icer whom calls himself ‘Glaecer’. Bass was baffled by the man’s power and he just needed to find out the secret. “How’d you get so strong in so little time?” he whispered. “I mean, we practically fought –what, yesterday?”

The namekian had been flabbergasted by the saiyan’s incredible growth in so little time and he must learn the secret so he too can catch up and actually mean something in the upcoming battle; although, it felt as if they would be leaving for ‘Earth’ sooner than later. Still, Bass hoped he could get SOME of their superior training –at least, during their travel; unless they were going by spacepod.

Glaecer looked directly at the saiyan king

“Very well, I will accompany you to earth” Glaecer said

“But I’m afraid I won’t be fighting beside you. If I was ever seen fighting with the king of the saiyans I would be reported for treason, putting everyone near me in danger and I wish to be able to walk kold as a free man, not a traitor”

Glaecer had decided that fighting would be too dangerous, he knew all too
well about his limitation and if he had agreed he would be fighting Touketsuki’s strongest men, he doubted he would be able to match them.

“Although not having blue-hair assisting me will make my task more difficult I am confident it won’t be impossible, with your group drawing all of his forces away into your skirmish I should be able to sneak aboard with minimal resistance” Glaecer informed

Glaecer let a small smile spread across his face

“I may not be fighting beside you today, but if you defeat Touketsuki the Kold throne should rightfully be yours… we shall see whether you earn the true loyalty that Touketsuki has not”
Glaecer then flew off without muttering another word.
