BEGINNINGS
And so the day arrives. Each of the four hollow katchin rectangles energise once again, a thin layer of energy linked to the Arena, a massive space station out in the void dedicated to the fighting arts. On entering you will feel an unpleasant buzz through your body. Each of the four 'doorways' lead a to a large hallway, with a large protective window looking out over a red and purple cloud nebula.
You'll post your entry posts here - only one post per 'section' (introduction, match announcements) to keep clutter-free. The first fights start tomorrow! Rules - No killing or absorption. No senzu bean use allowed during your fight. No god-modding - if you believe your partner is godmodding, inform me. Roleplay realistically - just because you have the higher battle power, doesn't make you instantly better in every way. No double-posting. MATCH-UPS [WIP]

Meishi stepped into the lobby pretty enthusiastically. He had made a close-call a few days ago, flying over Central City, and was nearly clipped in half by the falling metallic object. But when he landed, and was about to blow the crap out of it, he realized that it was delivering the message of a tournament. Meishi loved to fight, and although he had never been in a tournament before, he would totally love pounding some fighters into dust. Red, gory dust. So he camped out there for a few days, simply waiting for the time of glory. He beat-up staring pedestrians and police that tried to stop him from killing pedestrians, and special troopers who tried to stop him from killing police who tried to stop him from killing pedestrians. Eventually however, the...thing booted up and opened wide for the fighters, and Meishi almost skipped in there, he was so excited.
Upon entering, he saw people of many different races across the galaxy. He got many stares though-Majin Buu from an uncountable number of years before had obviously made contact with some of their planets so they where not very anxious to meet Meishi-but he did most of the staring himself. He was mesmorized-so many people to defeat!

Diane took a deep breath, nervous about stepping into the giant beam of light. She had arrived a Central City only a few hours earlier, waiting for the beam to return and give further instruction. As it arrived from the heavens a voice emanated from it, telling all those who wished to enter the tournament to step into the beam. Obviously Diane had her misgivings, because this could easily be a trap. Unfortunately Diane couldn't let it be, or it would be the biggest "What if" in her life. Steeling herself, she counted to three and leapt into the light.
The transportation took only seconds, but it felt like an eternity. Diane's life flashed before her eyes, reminding her of her mission: To find the saiyans responsible for her families death and to take her revenge. She could suddenly feel the weight of the rag doll's head in her pocket... She had taken it with her for good luck. She promised herself that she would leave this tournament alive and stronger than ever, and that she would have her vengeance if it was the last thing she did.
Then, without warning, Diane found herself in a large hallway. Looking around frantically she spotted a large window, realising by looking through it that she was in space. She stared in awe at the purple nebula, a huge beautiful cloud of gas and dust that may one day form a star. Is this where we're going to fight? Diane wondered, astounded by the sheer majesty of the view. After a few minutes she was finally able to tear her eyes from the window and focus on the rest of her surroundings...

Satin had been living in the city for a couple of days, her leg was mostly healed and her back was only a little bruised but it didn't hurt too much. She knew that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for her to quench her blood thirst, she had been itching for a rematch with Diane since she was defeated. Since it was logical for a girl like Satin to be drawn to something like this, she had almost no choice in the matter but to join. ’ Excitement, anxiety, energy, confusion. All these emotions swirling inside my heart.' Satin smirked as she approached the strange beam, it wasn't her first choice of transportation but it was her only option.
Upon entering Satin felt a major surge of energy hit her center, it was a little distasteful but it got her attention. Almost instantly she found herself within a large complex, with a fairly large window to her left. She looked out the window and saw what looked to be the night sky. ” So. This is what space looks like? Sweet!" Satin's smile grew wider as she laid her eyes on the purple and red clouds, they reminded her of her aura colors. Red was the color when she was mad or disappointed, while the violent purple reminded her of when she happy and excited.
’ I wonder if any other people from Earth entered this place. If so how strong are they, and how badly do they want to win?' The same question stirred in her mind until it upset her stomach, this wasn't very good right before a fight. Satin sat down carefully by the window and waited for the preliminary rounds to start before she dared to stand up again. For the first time in her life Satin was wearing skinny jeans and a tank top, she had gotten them from an old lady after being confused for a homeless person in the city.

Suki could smell the other races as he entered the station. It was clear that all types of inferior beings were entering the tournament, it only verified Suki's original intention of not joining the tournament. Fighting like dogs was something far below Suki, however being a spectator would bring him more than enough pleasure.
These creatures, i had no idea that such power was out there, yes this will be more than enough to accomplish my goals.
Suki walked through the hallways, passing by room after room of fighting neanderthals, the preliminaries had not even begun, and already the less intellectual brood of aliens were fighting with each other. Suki however ignored this blatant disregard for self-respect, and found his way to the viewing box, it had the perfect view of several stages, this way Suki could view more than one fight at once, this was truly a good day, finding the most comfortable chair, and taking a seat, the callous icer awaited the first round, wondering what creatures might bring out their potential, and to whom Suki would find his biggest challenge.

Ikezu stared out the windows into space. He had never seen anything so majestic in his life, yet eerie. He looked around and spotted some sort of pink... thing. A green woman who he recognized as Namekian. Two Saiyans, and what appeared to be a saiyan without a tail. Ikezu had never seen anything like this species. He was certain nobody had seen anyone quite like him either. He would focus on not letting underestimating others, and giving others all the reason to underestimate him. He'd walk through the hallway hunched over, avoiding eye contact, and making himself appear weak and easy to beat.
As he walked through the hall, he'd scan the competition, and accidentally bump into the pink thing, oddly enough the pink thing had the consistency of a rubber ball. So physical attacks would obviously be ineffective against him.
"S-Sorry, M-m-my b-bad." He stuttered pathetically.
'I wonder where we're fighting?' He asked himself.

Nam had his eyes set on the stars. He couldn’t explain it, but the panorama of space and that red and purple nebula gave him goose-bumps. It was so beautiful and unique, so full of mystery and feelings, -or perhaps Nam was just a sensitive guy. After all the crying and rampages he’s been through, sensitive probably paints him best. He wasn’t really interested in actually winning the tournament; he just thought it’d be fun.
Nam was training nearby as usual when all of a sudden, what seemed like a meteor crash landed in the core of Central city. The curious half-saiyan immediately flew towards the landing spot to check it out. There were people running and screaming, others were packing their bags a leaving, and some –including Nam- closed in to observe the meteor. Nam thought it might’ve been another one of those saiyan pods; in fact, he was sure everyone thought the same thing. That’s why they were acting hysterical. But Nam couldn’t feel an energy signature, so he carefully walked closer to the big crater and he –along with other random individuals, gazed in as the smoke dispersed; revealing a rectangular box-like thing. It didn’t seem like any spacepod Nam had seen.
It didn’t take long for the authorities to arrive and push the curious people away, saying the usual “There’s nothing to see here!” Nam decided to let it be for a while; it didn’t seem to be doing any harm. After what seemed like hours, Nam was enjoying a delicious ice cream sundae, when all of a sudden he felt a surge of spiritual energy which seemed to have spawned from the crash site. Dropping his ice cream, he raced to the site. Everyone was panicking again, and the authorities brought out the military and surrounded the area within seconds with all kinds of weapons. Nam knew he wouldn’t have been allowed to just walk up to see what was happening, so he decided to watch from the sky. Inside the crater, a black, inky substance began to ooze out of the metallic looking box and began to form an undefined shape. Nam instantly understood why they were panicking, it was similar to how Majin Buu looked when he was regenerating –except he was pink.
After a while, the black substance formed what Nam guessed to be some kind of barrier. And from the barrier came out a… human? It was a humanoid being, he looked exactly like any other person running around the streets below Nam, panicking and raging havoc, while the police tried to contain them.
"Ladies and gentlemen,” he began. ”- you are invited to join or watch an intergalactic martial arts tournament, the first of its kind. If you wish to participate than please enter through the doorway. You will appear at the Arena - a massive facility hosting the tournament. Spectators, transport will be arranged closer to the time. Thank you." after said announcement, the humanoid simply retreated and left the population baffled and confused.
A tournament, huh? Nam thought. Sound’s like a good chance to try out my skills…
Nam snapped out of the flashback, Heh, I guess I zoned out there for a while… he turned around and suddenly saw the once empty hallway full of different competitors. There were saiyans –although none of them were the one Nam was tracking down-; there were humans, or at least humanoid beings, like himself; Namekians, and… NO! Nam had hopped he was having a nightmare. He was petrified as he saw the back of that dreadful being. He never thought he’d live to see the day of meeting up with Meishi again. He would never forget that near death experience. But Nam wasn’t here to coward away; he was going to give it all he had. With that said, he was still a bit shaken from the sudden surprise, but he tried to focus on the other fighters. He didn’t seem to spot Zach anywhere. Nam thought he might see him around an event such as this; then again, Zach could only at least know of the tournament if he had been in Central City, assuming the katchin only dropped on one area in the world.
It didn’t seem like they would be fighting anytime soon, so Nam simply returned his attention to the window and watched the picturesque nebula and the countless stars that spanned the universe.
“They say that every star out there is a different world, but they all share the same sky.”

Carmine had heard about the tournament while passing by an electronics store that was playing several news stations, all of which were reporting on the same event. He'd immediately decided to join, and had told Captain Ryota all about it.
When the day came, he was ready. Dressed to represent the Demon Galleon, with a coat similar to the Captains (but shorter so as not to overshadow the man) and a sword of his own - a straight blade with a round hilt and no crosspieces, a simple thing - he stepped into the column of light. Immediately his sensory array was awash with conflicting data and inconclusive readouts, and as suddenly as it had started, it stopped and he was amongst the other warriors.
Energy signatures registered on his display all over the place, many of them quite substantial. He hadn't entered with the assumption that he would win, but he knew now that he was going to get some good fights out of the deal.
He made his way to an empty space of wall and waited for the Captain to arrive. He was sure the man (demon) would make a grand entrance.

Antary was exploring the planet, perhaps looking for more fighters, and ended up in an incredibly big city. He could not sense any fighters who are anywhere near his level, but he kept searching. Him flying attracted the attention of many people, but Antary thought that it was something else, so he landed. Only then have he realized that the people were staring at him. The saiyan had mixed emotions about attracting so much attention, but since he had this chance, he decided not to waste it. "Where are the strongest fighters of this world?" Asked Antary, to what the people pointed behind him. The saiyan turned around, and saw many boxes behind a glass, that had images on them that were constantly changing, as if someone was in there doing something. The shop owner, who also came out to see the flying man came back to turn the volume up.
"An inter-galactic tournament! Species from all over the universe will come to participate in this one! After the reports of a UFO that crash landed a few days ago, the crash site attracted many people and beings!" The camera zooms in on a child-like purple person with a tentacle on his head. It zooms back out on the person that was talking. "We are about to interview a very interesting guy, that seems like he`s going to also join the tournament!" As the news person kept talking, the purple being slowly went up to him, and the next thing everyone saw was a colored screen, that quickly flashed and turned into a "We`re experiencing technical difficulties" screen. The people started talking about it, all shocked.
Antary smiled. He knew what to do now. A white aura appeared around him, the tail surrounded his waist in excitement, as Antary flew at a crazy speed up to the sky and it looked like he bounced off in the direction of the space ship, leaving a white trail behind him. After a while, he was taken to a weird place by the ship. The saiyan felt uneasy in the long hall, many other powerful creatures surrounding him. That purple kid worried him the most for some reason. There was something strange about him. "Well, we`ll see. THEY will see the might of a saiyan elite."

Ryota couldent help but keep a wide anxious grin spread across his face as he marched towards the rectangle, When Carmine had first told him about the tournament Ryota knew even without thinking too hard about it that he was going to enter if for no other reason than to have another fight with Carmine as there last one had been incredibly fun if also incredibly exhausting. Now the day had come and he'd finally arrived at the strange rectangle that was to be his method of arrival. Turning to Keyra he gave her a grin. "Wish me luck?" He asked earning a roll of the eyes from her. "I doubt you'll need it. If this tournament if filled with humans, even if they happen to be as tough as Miles was your more than fine. Now go kick some ass and get back here so I'm not the one in charge of those idiots. But regardless, good luck." Keyra said getting another grin out of Ryota as he cut open a rift for her.
"Don't worry you'll do fine and I cant imagine I'll be gone for too long. Just make sure you keep the Galleon in as many pieces as it's in now." Ryota said with a laugh before heading through the rectangle. The buzz that ran through his body was a bit odd but he was able to ignore it as it was quite similar to what happened when he walked through one of his own rifts.
Once Ryota arrived he grinned as he noticed he was not the only one to have arrived so far and on top of that there were at least a few who had arrived that were most definitely not human. Even if he'd long since noted that not all humans were weak it was still an annoyingly common trait and he'd hoped to see a few of the species that existed beyond Earth. Ryota had to pause for a moment as he spotted the pink... creature. He'd heard of that species before, a Majin. He hadn't been aware that particularly many existed still but evidently at least one was running about.
Ryota decided to take a bit of time to look around at the building itself rather than just the competition. Upon examining his surroundings he noted that they were in a hallway of some sort with the only major thing of note being a window that showed open space. A few of the arrivals were looking out through the window eagerly, Ryota could only assume they had never been out into space before by the reaction and chuckles to himself. He'd had a similar sort of reaction the first time the Galleon had gone off into orbit. He'd clung to the tailing watching stars, planets, and moons pass by for a full half hour before someone finally dragged him back to work.
With a grin to himself Ryota decided to start heading down the hallway in order to see if perhaps there were any more fighters down that way or perhaps simply more to this place to investigate. As he passed Carmine Ryota gave the other man a grin and a wave as he continued heading on down the hallway.

Zach for the life of him couldn’t figure out how in the world Diane had talked him into joining her at this intergalactic tournament. All the games are as far as he was concerned was a huge ego stroking contest, and while Zach wasn’t short on ego, he could at least control it. That was probably the only reason she was interesting, her fur ball side exerting the out of control ego that was typical for the species. That also was perhaps the only reason he could see to go, to teach some of those devolved egomaniacs a lesson in proper respect. On his way to the departure point though, Zach happened upon another reason to attend the contest.
The aliens who sent the transport mechanisms apparently suffered from the same complete lack of respect as the Saiyans, haphazardly bombing planets with their devices. It mattered not that no one was hurt in the machine’s arrival, the mere possibility that they could have been is enough to warrant their also being taught a lesson, and add to that point the fact that there was property damage, Zach’s attendance was now assured. Even if he didn’t get the opportunity to beat the living daylights out of a monkey or two, he’d at the very least be in a position to wreck the venue in which the even was being held, as retribution for the damage caused on Earth.
The blonde’s arrival was unceremonious, materializing through the portal with the strange, queasy sensation induced by interstellar matter-energy transmission. He’d never experienced that particular mode of transport before but had heard discussions about it while he was in school. Of course while he was in school he was usually more concerned with what he’d be doing when he got home or scoping out the random hot guy in one of his classes, so it didn’t come as any surprise that although he knew what the machine had done to transport him, he didn’t know how the mechanism actually worked. It didn’t matter anyway, it would serve only one purpose, transport him home after he was done with the place.
Arriving after Diane and Nam, Zach looked through the undulating masses of combatants, paying little attention to them, especially to the ones with supposedly bad reputations, this of course included the fur balls. He eventually spotted Diane and maneuvered he way over to wait with her. Only then did he actually take a better look around at his surroundings, noting the observations window. Large and fragile in appearance, it would make an excellent final target just prior to his departure when this whole sad episode was over.

Gerrek was uncertain of how the katch'in devices worked, but they intrigued him to a certain degree. If he thought it would do him any good he might have tried to ask someone at the tournament about them when he got there. Unfortunately he doubted he'd get a useful response regarding them, so he was stuck with what he could gleam from simply observing them and experiencing their power. He was, after all, going to participate in this tournament. No doubt it would attract the best fighters that the universe had to offer. If he knew how he measured up against the best he might be able to pick up a job or two based on how he did here. Making friends among the more honorable fighters was never a bad thing, either.
When the device finally did activate he used its transportation capabilities to get to the Arena as soon as he could. Though the trip was unpleasant due to the strange buzzing, it wasn't too bad because it was near instantaneous. Stepping away from the exit device, Gerrek moves down the hall towards one of the windows and gazes out at the nebula silently. He glances from fighter to fighter as he makes his way there, keeping mental notes of each that he sees.

Upon arrival, Isikel could see many beings around him, only a few familiar, such as that female named Satin, that pink thing that was always on the news, and... Isikel gulped... His older brother was there. Isikel didn't really know Suki was his older brother until Suki became King, and announced that his father had "handed" the thrown over to him in his death.
Isikel always was told by the king that he was gonna be next king. Well, now that he thought about it, parents always promised young kids things that most likely couldn't happen. Isikel just stared at Suki now, with cold eyes. When he did stop, he pulled a fighter to the side, "See that Icer guy over there with the power level similiar to mine?" The fighter nodded, "Tell him, 'watch out for Isikel'!" Isikel then went to sit down on a bench as the messenger went to tell Suki.

Match-UpsA screen closes over the window, and the lights dim; several lights flash throughout the facility - unbeknownst to the combatants, their basic anatomy and brainwaves had just been scanned by some advanced tech, identifying their names and races.
The screen then lights up, showing the tournament tables with names and faces;
Meishi versus Diane
Antary versus Ikezu
Zach versus Nam
Satin versus Gerrek
Carmine versus Isikel
Ryota versus Dao
Boliko versus Mollus (NPC Namekian - 20,000 PL)
Gerkin (NPC Saiyan - 14,000 PL) versus Desicc (NPC Namekian - 12,000 PL)
The two remaining competitors would soon arrive and fill in the gaps, leaving only a small time until the tournament would get fully under way! All of the matched competitors are transported to their chosen 'block', large environments of simulated naturalness.

Dao midnight was in the lobby focusing his power for the tournament. He had a scruffle with zach and royta so he was primed, hopefully this tournament would be interesting like his guard duty so he walked towards the croud of people, his white hooded cape over his skull, wearing a purple gi with normal shoes, purple kung fu pants and a sash on his waist. He smirked and anticipated the tournament
