SUKI'S END
Two figures popped out of the air onto a ship of swirling sounds and motions. One of the figures spoke; trying to grab hold of the other man while the ship seemed to move with a uneasy speed.
“Mr.Toshio you have to get out of here!! Theirs no telling what my computer will do under these circumstances. It seems my computer is behaving unpredictable and if you don’t leave it could take us across the entire galaxy!!!”[/b]
The black haired man known as Toshio stared at the frail stature of Captain Royd, knowing this had happened once before he wasn’t sure if this was the same or a more intense reaction form his computer. Not knowing when he would see the frail body but strong-minded captain again, he nodded his head and gave out some last words.
”Stay well my friend. Until we met again..”
The Victory school Headmaster patted the Captain on the shoulder and in the blink of an eye was gone once more. The intended location of his return intended to be his school, however right before he used his famed Instant Transmission technique, he figured that the best place would be somewhere far away from his school in case Suki sought him out. It just so happened that he knew of a small island off the coast of the main metropolis island from where he could stay. His feet landed on the soft sandy island, and he smiled as a pretty big sea turtle greeted him. Not so much as greeted, as slowly making his way to the strapping Toshio. The half-saiyan smiled and knelt down as he awaited his animal friend to greet him.
“Hey there buddy, I haven’t seen you ever since I became Headmaster at the school. It’s good to see your still alive my friend.”
After the turtle reached the outstretched arms of Toshio and enjoyed a delightful stint of rubbing and petting from the schoolmaster, a spike in power levels caught Toshio’s intention. The power levels were much higher than the battle he had just left between Nam and Suki. Toshio wanted to help more than anything, he wanted to be there in case things didn’t go right. But he knew…He knew he wouldn’t be of much help especially with that kind of power level coming from the two. As the battle raged, Toshio couldn’t help but notice power levels drop and raise and even noticed more seemed to indulge upon the area. However things seemed to turn toward the worst when he felt those same power levels heading in the direction of his school. His school. This was more than enough essence to intervene...his students and his entire school was in jeopardy. Immediately standing up, before you could say ‘Help’ Toshio was gone.
Toshio arrived just as the school was being destroyed, his eyes wide in shock and awe as the school he had come to know for so many years…was gone just like that… His eyes did not detour to who had caused the massive blow or to even those around. His mind was solely on that of his school…that of his students…that of his fellow teachers…He had to get out of there...he couldn't look at the destruction much longer. In the blink of an eye, he was gone once more.
Remembrance can be bad Years 1-3
Toshio woke up drenched in sweat, that memory…oh so long ago…it still haunted his dreams. After getting up and getting a drink of water, Toshio looked at the clock to find out that it was still late in the night. He knew know that he was up he might as well train, heading to his private gym area he would begin a simple routine of punches and kicks, all while his memory started to jog back to after that dreadful event.
For the next year he spent his life on that small little island, eventually building a little house and getting his supplies from the near Metropolis island city. Talking to no one in particular other than his sea turtle, which couldn’t talk back, only nudge against him in silence. He rarely trained and when he did, he kept it to mostly martial arts, During this time alone he spent a lot of time thinking, thinking about the school, his friends, everyone that he had seemingly left behind for a life of silence, a life of a hermit so to speak. During his occasional visits to the Metropolis City, his occasional conversation about his former school coupled with a misinterpretation of his Name ‘Toshio’, he soon became known as Master Toshi to the local citizens. This didn’t bother him too much as it was almost his actual name and he didn’t know of any person named Toshi that could cause confusion.
Eventually Toshio caught wind of someone rebuilding a school that was lost due to ‘a suspicious explosion’ Toshio wondered if that was indeed his school and wondered who was attempting to re-build it. For the past month, he had not even mentioned or thought about his past life just that of his ‘new’ silent life. Had he moved on so much that his former life was gone? He was still physically fit enough, but the past year it seemed had had aged a bit due to lack of physical training. Still…that destroyed school had held most of his life. He could at least visit and thank whoever was rebuilding it. And so it was settled...he would return to where his life basically begun...right after he took a nap.
Toshio’s fist slammed into his private gym’s wall. Sweat now pouring from his body once more, but this time from the training workout. He lifted his fist up off the wall and proceeded to flip backwards and then let loose a few fist punches in the air during the flip before landing back on the ground. Once he landed, he realized he was breathing pretty heavily, something that normally didn’t happen especially after a short workout. It’s the memories…It’s the dreams…It’s the nightmares Toshio shook his head as he continued to punch the open air, trying to avoid the past...but as everyone knows the past...is unavoidable
Toshio decided it would be best fly there instead of use Instant Transmission; it was always good to get some fresh flight air anyhow. As he drew closer to the school he could see a few things changed in the cities and towns nearby. Finally he arrived and saw that the school had been rebuild quite well and Toshio noticed many students littered the grounds of the school, sparring and practicing. This brought a smile to Toshio’s face, yet also brought a tear. Seeing new students only reminded him of old ones, ones he had no way of knowing if they had survived or not…As he touched the ground he quickly wiped away the tear and entered the school’s main entrance doors.
He didn’t know any of the new student’s or any of the staff...it seemed it was all new. However a voice spoke out to him from behind, a voice he knew. He turned to see the boy known as Zach, the shirtless wonder. Toshio smiled as he greeted the young man with a handshake. Toshi was glad that Zach had survived; Zach had spent a good amount of time at this school as well. Toshio was the first to speak.
“Zach, how are you? It’s good to see you...It’s good to see that you survived that...ordeal…”
For someone who was always filled with words, Toshio didn’t know how to get them out…especially when it came to this past year… for the first time in quite a while. Toshio didn’t know what to say. Fortunately Zach seemed to pick up on it and patted Toshio on the shoulder before speaking.
“It’s good to see you too. IF your wondering how all of this got here well...You’re basically looking at him. I built the stonewalls and whole outer structure of this building by myself. Hell, I even became pretty famous as ‘the boy who was rebuilding a school’ then after all of the base construction was finished all of these bulldozers and help some to come from nowhere. I didn’t ask questions and soon this building was up and running again. Teachers and students coming from all over…which reminds me...this school still needs a Headmaster. I couldn’t think of anyone else that might be better for the job than you.”
Toshio listened to the young man, who seemed to not age a bit over the year…or change much at all for that matter. When Zach finished up with the proposition of Toshio taking over the new school as Headmster, a lump grew in Toshio’s throat. This…this just wasn’t his school anymore...these weren’t his students…everything had changed…so fast…He didn’t feel like a Leader…He didn’t get to his school fast enough last time…he just sat in the distance…It was his fault everyone died…It was his fault the school had to be rebuit. Finally after what seemed like hours, Toshio spoke with much sadness in his voice.
“I...I can’t...This…this isn’t my school…I faild to protect my school..I failed to protect MY students...I failed previously…and because I failed people died...lots of people died. I’m not fit to be a Headmaster…not anymore…I’ve spent the last year dreading that day…It’s just...everything is different now. I think it’s best you get someone else to lead this school…someone stronger…someone better. I’m sorry Zach…I’m sorry for everything.”
For the man that was once the most inspiring, cheerful, and up-lifting person, one catastrophic event seemed to fill his mind with much doubt and sorrow, especially his ability to lead. Toshio Katsuo felt empty inside. After speaking Toshio had looked down at the floor, waiting to hear what Zach had to say. Zach would soon speak up, trying increasingly hard to cheer up and provide confidence for the half-saiyan that he could still be a great leader.
No matter how much Zach tried, he could not persuade the lowly half-saiyan to take over the headmaster job. Eventually Zach and Toshio parted ways for then, Toshio not wanting to stay for too long because of the harsh memories the new school brought with it, left the school soon after the talk with Zach. For the moment, Toshio was not strong enough to be near any school and so he returned to his small island, fully intent on living like a hermit for the rest of his days.
For the next two years, he would find himself training a little more and more each day but not intent on going back to the new rebuilt school. He wasn’t sure why he was training more and more, he just knew he had to…he wanted to. He kept in touch with Zach by occasionally re-visiting the school, however never stayed for too long. One day however, while out training in the middle of an ocean, his thoughts were very intense on the disasters that had happened those few years ago, he was seemingly venting his frustration in the sea below with powerful energy attacks and quick words of “My fault” “Shouldn’t have happened” when all of a sudden, he heard his dad’s voice, in his head. For a second he had trouble contemplating that it was his actual dad.
“Hmm Son… is this working? Hey Heiwa are you sure this is working? I’m not so sure he ca-“ ”It’s working!!! Just talk to him already!!” “Oh, okay well-then. Hello Son, this might come as a surprise but this was a long time coming.”
Toshio couldn’t believe it...his dad was talking to him…from beyond the grave…He had so many questions…but before Toshio could speak he was cut off by his father.
“Now son, I know you have a lot of questions but this is not the time to ask. I’m not sure how long the Kai can hold this connection so you need to shut up and listen. You son, have changed the lives of so many people during your lifetime. A life that is far from over. That catastrophic disaster that was NOT your fault, you did what you had to do during that Suki event; you did more than what was asked of you. If you had intervened sooner, my son you would have died. You should have taken that as a sign to lead on, not cower away. You are the son of a Saiyan!!! Saiyans do not cower from leadership, especially the son of Tadashi Katsuo!!! You need to get out of this rump and return to what you do best Toshio, you return to teaching young students about the heart of battle!! About the struggle that people go through!!! And about friendship than can conquer all!!!! You son, have encountered all of those to an extreme!!! You have encountered a struggle that most people would have done what you have done these past years, but YOU are MY SON AND MY SON WILL NOT LET A STRUGGLE TEAR HIM DOWN!! MY SON IS NOT A QUITER!!! MY SON WILL NOT BE DEFATED BY A DISASTER!!! AND MY SON WILL LOOK FORWARD, WITH A HEAD HELD HIGH AND HE WILL MAN UP AND DO WHAT HE WAS DESTINED FOR!!!!!”
“Well said Mr.Katsuo, I can see where your son gets his speaking ability.” ”Thank you Mr.Heiwa.”
By the time his father finished speaking, Toshio’s had tears streaming down his face. His father...His father was right. He chose to run away rather than grieve and move on…He chose to hide from who he really was because of pain…. He knew…. thanks to his father…he knew that had to stop. Wiping away his tears, he slowly started to talk to his father.
“You’re right…I should have embraced that disaster...it should have made me stronger yet, I ran...I hide…it made me weaker…and that’s not who I am. That’s not how you taught me to be…Dad…thank you. Thank you for reminding me to be me again. It’s time for me to return to what I was called to do.”
“Now that’s the son I raised...tell your mother I miss and love her. And son…I love you too. Continue to make me proud son.”
Toshio nodded his head. His mission was clear now. For the first time in years, he knew what he had to do. It was finally clear. Putting two fingers to his forehead, seconds later he was gone. His next stop, a place he had called home for so many years.

Toshio nodded his head. His mission was clear now. For the first time in years, he knew what he had to do. It was finally clear. He was a Teacher, he was a Leader, and He was Toshio Katsuo, Headmaster of the formally renowned Victory school. Powering up his aura, he looked toward where the new school was built and took off; making the water rise and fall as he flew toward a place he had called home for so many years.
Background Music during the flight, exchange the words 'Father' to 'Teacher' for better feeling. lol
Upon arriving at the school, he immediately sought out Zach and with a smile on his face started speaking, his prowess as a speaker would show not only in his voice, but in his words as well. For Zach, it would seem that ‘The Tosh’ was back.
”Zach, these last few years I have sunken to a deep despair over what had happened to my school and to my students. I ran from it all, I was afraid of what could happen in the future. But the truth is, I was too busy running from past to even see how bright the future was. And like a phoenix, you built this new school from the ashes. Well Zach, like this school I have risen. I have risen from my gloom; I am standing as tall as I once did. But I see the future now; I see the future of this school, being led by a great man, by a tremendous leader with a vast amount of strength and heart. Zach, that leader...is not me. It’s you young man. You have shown what you can do with building this, getting things together and what you have done in battle. With time, theirs not a doubt in my mind that you can’t lead this school to superb greatness like I once did. My time as Headmaster is over; it’s time for a younger man to grown and lead as I once did. Zach…you have all of the necessities to do it and do it strongly. I would love to continue teaching here if it’s okay with you, but only under your leadership and expertise.”
Toshio Katsuo was indeed back; his father’s words once again changed his life much as they did when he was still a young teenager in the Victory school.(Read Toshio’s History for those words of inspiration. Lol) After Toshio had finished speaking, Zach half-smiled, not really wanting to fully ‘lead the school’ but he knew Toshio meant every word and would not teach at this school otherwise, so Zach accepted Toshio as a teacher and unwillingly accepted the Headmaster job. And so began a new era of the rebuilt Victory school, it’s brightest days very well ahead.
Not All Memories Are Bad Years 4-5
Beads of sweat rolled of the exhausted teacher, his breathing heavy as he continued to punch the air in front of him. His father’s speech to him and then his speech to Zach were still fresh in his mind. He was glad to be back as a teacher, glad to be back helping young students be more in tune with their fighting capabilities. He was glad to have everything back to normalcy. As he continued to train in his gym, now in the early morning, he memories would relapse back to after he returned to teaching.
Toshio would spend the next few years teaching at the school, eventually even rebuilding the famed lookout he had come to know after it’s ferocious battles and training sessions. Eventually he managed to return the lookout to its former glorious appearance, only thing that was missing was Kami himself. Rebuilding the lookout, tile-by-tile, and speck-by-speck took quite the bit of time. However, it had them thinking on other ways he could be of better use after the lookout was rebuilt. He remembered the healing technique that Kami had taught him so long ago…with Toshio having no idea where Kami had went…Toshio felt as if he should focus more on this technique, not only to honor the sensei, but to be of more help in a battle.
And so he learned to hone his healing technique, at first he would heal small wounds such as cuts and bruises on injured students when they would come by the medical ward, eventually he managed to become increasingly skilled in healing, able to heal much larger wounds and in much quicker time. He had become so skilled with the healing technique that after intense hours, he could even heal broken bones if given the proper time. As time went on, so did his ability to use this technique and so did the appreciation of the medical staff and students. Before he knew it, it had been 5 years since the events of Suki and the destroyed school. While not forgetting about his old school, Toshio still holds in dear in his memories, vowing never to forget each and every person that perished in the school’s destruction. They would always be his students, his staff, and his friends and that would always be his school and nothing could take that away from him.
Returning to the present, a knelt down Toshio huffed and puffed. The sun had fully risen and he could hear chatter and movement in the hallways, the first of his classes would be starting soon and he had had little sleep and was extremely fatigued from training most of the night. Others might have cancelled their classes and went back to bed, but not Toshio. Standing up, he would proceed toward the shower, and after washing off the loads of sweat that littered his body and reducing the smell it had brought, he stepped out, got dressed in his new garments, and proceeded toward his classroom. Ready to begin yet another day of training, teaching, and providing leadership to young men and woman. Oh how he loved his job.
Yeah, it's been a ride
I guess I had to, go to that place, to get to this one
Now some of you, might still be in that place
If you're trying to get out, just follow me
I'll get you there
I guess I had to, go to that place, to get to this one
Now some of you, might still be in that place
If you're trying to get out, just follow me
I'll get you there
I'ma be what I set out to be, without a doubt undoubtedly
And all those who look down on me I'm tearing down your balcony
No if ands or buts, don't try to ask him why or how can he
And all those who look down on me I'm tearing down your balcony
No if ands or buts, don't try to ask him why or how can he
Whichever comes first, for better or worse
He's married to the school, like clothes for Christmas
His gift is a blessing, Remember the Earth, he's got the urge
To Teach, To Lead, To Train and touch the whole universe
He's married to the school, like clothes for Christmas
His gift is a blessing, Remember the Earth, he's got the urge
To Teach, To Lead, To Train and touch the whole universe
I'm not afraid
To take a stand
Everybody
Come take my hand
We'll walk this road together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just letting you know that, you're not alone
Holla if you feel like you've been down the same road
To take a stand
Everybody
Come take my hand
We'll walk this road together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just letting you know that, you're not alone
Holla if you feel like you've been down the same road
And to my friends, I'll never let you down again, I'm back
I promise to never go back on that promise.
I promise to never go back on that promise.
I'm standing up, I'ma face my demons
I'm manning up, I'ma hold my ground
I've had enough, now I'm so fed up
Time to put my life back together right now!
I'm manning up, I'ma hold my ground
I've had enough, now I'm so fed up
Time to put my life back together right now!
It was your decision to help me, I did for them
admittedly, I probably did it subliminally, for you
So I could come back a brand new me you helped see me through
And don't even realize what you did, believe me you
I been through the ringer,And thanks to you it didn't linger
I think I got a tear in my eye, I feel like the king of
My world, haters can make like bees with no stingers
And drop dead, no more ki flingers
admittedly, I probably did it subliminally, for you
So I could come back a brand new me you helped see me through
And don't even realize what you did, believe me you
I been through the ringer,And thanks to you it didn't linger
I think I got a tear in my eye, I feel like the king of
My world, haters can make like bees with no stingers
And drop dead, no more ki flingers
No more drama from now on, I promise
To focus solely on handling my responsibilities as a Teacher
So I solemnly swear to always treat this roof, like my students
And raise it, you couldn't lift a single shingle on it!
Cause the way I feel, I'm strong enough to lift the world
I'd shoot for the moon but I'm too busy gazing at stars
I feel amazing and I'm
To focus solely on handling my responsibilities as a Teacher
So I solemnly swear to always treat this roof, like my students
And raise it, you couldn't lift a single shingle on it!
Cause the way I feel, I'm strong enough to lift the world
I'd shoot for the moon but I'm too busy gazing at stars
I feel amazing and I'm
not afraid
