After he had left his village, Ethar had made his way to Carnels Fortress hoping to meet him again after being gone for nearly half an Earth year. The wind was still, as the Noran/Saiyan man walked up towards the main entrance of the fortress, as he saw a familiar Namekian in a black Gi.
Smiling as he got closer, he knew who it was that was standing guard of the door into the fortress, as he said "Afternoon Nahlin, Long time no see." as he stopped infront of the Namekian.
"Is the Elder in today?" He asked, hoping that he didnt catch the elder on a day that he was napping, or busy with someone else. Ethar knew that the Elder was capable of unlocking peoples potential, which made him a very busy man.

Nahlin looked the man over. "Do... I know you?" he asked. He did know him, he was some guy from another planet who lived here. Nahlin just wanted to piss him off.
Carnel, however, had been meditating on the roof of the fortress, and could see the two below. He heard his name mensioned. I should go down and make sure Nahlin doesn't get himself blasted... he thought. a moment passed, and the elder closed his eyes again.
"Nah. Let be what will be."

Ethar gave Nahlin an odd look, and smirked. "You forgot didnt ya? In the guy who accidentally stomped on your foot, Remember now?" He asked as he still smiled. "Or do you want me to remind you again?" He asked as he got ready to stomp on his foot again. He hopped that he wouldnt have to, since Nahlin gave him a good whooping the did last time.
"Nah Im just joking. You know who I am." He said as he walked up closer to the Namekian. "Hes meditating isnt he? If he is, I wouldnt want to disturb him. I was just looking for a job...Cause ya know...Bored and all."

Nahlin raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms as the guy motioned to reenact the past confrontation. But he lowered his foot and explained he was joking, then asked for work.
"Yes, he's in a deep meditative state." he explained. He could hear the Elder telepathically snoring. Nahlin really did not understand how he was even capable of that... Luckily, Ethar wouldn't have to deal with that displeasure.
"And why would I give you a job? I do not recall that... action from our last meet as an accident..." he said sternly.

"Ok Ok, I am sorry for stomping on your foot. I was pissed off that day, and I dont deal well with anger issues." He replied, a bit ashamed of what he did to him earlier that year. He took a few steps away from him as he let out a soft sigh.
"Come on, theres gotta be something that has to be done. Something that is too much out of your way, and you need someone to take care of." He said, getting a bit worried that he might not get a job to pass the time. "Come on, Please?"

Nahlin just rolled his eyes at the boy and shook his head. "You listen here, boy. what your gonna do is-" but he was cut off by Carnel who seemed to have appeared from nowhere. "-do is go down to the water treatment plant on the edge of the Ancient City and see about a Water Delivering Security job. or W-D-S work." He said with a smile.
Nahlin looked surprised as hell. "E-lder Guru? But I thought you were-" Carnel cuts him off again. "Sound asleep on the roof, pretending to meditate while telepathically snoring all the while?" He nodded once. "That I am."
"But Guru... your right here..." He said. But he could still hear the snoring... Carnel chuckled. "Am I? Maybe your crazy. Maybe I'm all in your head. Or maybe... I'm using my Doppelganger technique as well as practice."
Nahlin's expression went from surprise to confusion."So... your not the real Elder Guru then?" he asked. Carnel shrugged lightly. "Maybe not... or maybe the Doppelganger is the one asleep... he's more than a clone, he's almost, well... alive..." he said in a creepy sinister voice. He turned to Ethar.
"Well, is that a suitable job for you? If so, I'm sure Nahlin will gladly show you the way there." he said. He spun around and hummed away at an old Namekian tune as he walked into the fortress.
Nahlin was still both afraid and confused.

Ethar was just as confused as Nahlin was as he watched the two converse. When a job of being security was brought up, Ethar's face lit up like a christmas tree. "I would be glad to Carnel. WDS work sounds like something I am more then capable of." He said, as he watched, whom he thought was the Elder, walk back into the fortress. He was still a bit confused, but happy that he now had a job. A seemingly important one as well.
He looked to Nahlin as he asked "Did he forget his medication today? Or is he more cooky then usual?" as he let off a soft chuckle. Seeing Nahlin confused made his day even better then what it was before. "Do you know what hes talking about? Water Delivery?"

Nahlin took off flying, Ethar likely right behind him. "On Namek, A Namekian survives mostly on consuming water. And the Water Plant filters and purifies many gallons of water for our people to drink." he explains.
"Years ago, all water was mostly pure. But over time, people had been getting sick off the creatures and such living in the waters. Animal refuse and... you get it." he said. He looked down on a farm below.
"That said, we don't farm food, unless its fore outer-planet sale or to be fed to other non Namekian inhabitants. our main farming is the growing of Drinking Gourds. Small to immensely massive sized Gourds for holding water."
After a few minutes of flight, Nahlin touched down to a large barn looking building with much activity around it. Large carts with huge Gourds mounted on them were pulled by Cow-like creatures to be filled by a huge nozzle. Behind them was the Emerald Ocean, the source of their water. "five of these titanic transports are yours to guard. Go speak with the guy yelling orders over there." He said, Blasting off before Ethar could ask him more questions.

After following on foot, since Ethar couldnt fly yet, they had arrived at a 'barn', but Nahlin took off before he could ask any questions. He sighed to himself as he made his way over to the Namekian yelling out orders. He seemed like the one to talk to, so Ethat walked over to him and asked "Greetings. The Elder Carnel sent me here to help protect the transports...Any idea what kinda threats we will find?" As he looked at the transports, watching them getting filled up one by one.
"I know I may not look like much, but you can never judge a book by its cover." He said, knowing the boss would most likely look down on him, and think of him as a human who was weak.

His name was Doak. Doak the Foreman. He was a short, plump Namek with a wider chin and a few older features. His eyes barely looked open. Ethar arrived stating his business and Doak got the basic gist as he continued to bark orders over Ethar's talking. He tuned into the last line though.
He laughed. "Well boy, you look like half a Namekian to me. I gots guys over there that can handle anything that comes our way." He chuckled. "So, looks like no work for yo-"
There was an explosion behind him. Just a small one, only one person was hurt. One of his "guys" he was talking about had attempted the "Spinning Ki Ball" thing they heard the Elder could do, and blew his own arms off. As a Namek, they'd grow back... but he was pretty wiped out from it and was done for the day.
The Foreman roared some obsinities at the lot of them, and mumbled some curses in Namekian. "Alright, hairball. You got yourself a job due to a..." he pointed over his shoulder and sighed. "... sudden opening." he told him.
He walked around him, putting an arm around him to lead on to a small building. "Ever see a Blood Raider, boy?" he asked in a creepy voice. With that, he walked ahead to a red door and slid a latch open. A nearby Black Gi was ready just in case.
Opening the door, a person was laying on the ground with their hands behind their back. They wore mostly red and dark shades of gray and black, along with pieces of random clothing like belts, chains, etc. A bandit, clearly. Doak spoke. "This lucky sack of crap was the survivor of the last raid on our transport. I keep em around to show newbies like you what to rip apart."
The guy turned over and looked up at Ethar, beaten badly. Yet he still held a crazy looking smile and a wide eyed expression. Doak shook his head and slammed the door. "These guys are messed up. Big time psychos. There are other groups such as refuges who will launch petty attacks and some Nameks in the hills, occasionally those creepy ass infected will try to take us out." he shook his head again. "they can be beat up or scared off most times. But these Raider guys..."
Doak got close to Ethar, looking him in the eye. "They... will slaughter you." he said, poking him in the chest on the emphasis. "If those crazies show, they won't be subtle about it. And you best be ready to kill, boy. Cause the water be damned, it'll be their lives... or yours."
He paused for a long moment to let that sink in before breaking the moment with "So!? If you still want in, go get your warm ups done and what not. We're heading off to a southern village soon."

Ethar followed Doak around, like teh good boy that he was until he saw the tied up Blood Raider. He listened to the foreman warn Ethar about them, and about possible infected attackers as well. Ethar knew he could handle either one, and the money he could earn from this would make it well worth it.
"Blood Raiders. Sounds simple enough. Kill or be killed. Protect the Caravan at all costs. I can do that." He said, giving the Raider a bit of a glare. Oh did he want to blast him, but a better idea crossed his mind, as he lifted his foot up, and pushed the tied up Raider over onto the floor. "Thats where they belong, on the ground." He said, as he looked over to Doak.
"So when do we leave? I bet theres alot of thirsty people waiting." He said, smilng to himself. The Elder really did set Ethar up with seemingly an easy job. Though with all the recent rumors floating around Namek, He knew he had to be ready for absolutely anything.

Old Doak slammed the door and latched it again. "We're off in about a half hour or so, they got another gourd cart to fill" He told Ethar, who was clearly eager to go.
Doak thought about telling him what happened to the last guy the Raiders dragged off, but decided those gory details were better left unsaid for now. He didn't need him running off like a scared little rabbit.
--------------------------------------
Twenty minuets later, the last gourd cart had been filled faster than Doak had predicted. He jumped up onto the front one and let out a loud shout. Everyone scrambled to the carts and manned one of six huge carts as they started to head off. They headed out of the complex and up a hill, where there was a long streach of open road with fields.
Attacks were rare this close in, nowhere to hide and too close to the Water Plant. But one never knows. They would head on for a while when the convoy would come to a three way fork in the road. Two carts would take a road, Doak taking his crew up the right side road.
The guards were organised as to what one to go with, but nobody had let Ethar know witch to go with. So he could pretty much choose left, straight, or right as well.

Ethar nodded, as he stayed with the carts as they took the water up the road. He wasnt worried about atacks, but when the fork in the road came up, Ethar took the one that went left.
He looked back to the other carts, and yelled to Doak "Best of luck. See you at the other side." He said, as since he was walking before with the carts, he decided to climb up, and take a seat at the rear cart, allowing him to keep a watchful eye on everything. He also kept his senses open so that he might be able to detect any incoming energy signatures that might indicate an attack.
"Why do I get the feeling that Doak was hiding something from me."

Due to the fact that posting on weekends is an issue for me, impatience of other members is expected. This is the second and last time this will happen to me, all training will be solo from here on.
Assume the shipments all went off without a hitch.
