"It's the Earth year 1807," she responded, curious. The theory that he was from a different time was starting to look more and more likely to her. but how it happened, she didn't know. When it came to technology, she could use it quite well enough, but understand it? That was a whole 'nother story. She was lost in thought as he spoke, but at then mention of his nightmares, he had her full attention.
"Nightmares? what kind of nightmares?" she asked, suddenly completely serious. If it was one thing Amaranth knew, it was dreams. For years she's been traveling through the dream world, slipping from one place to another. It was only in this last year though that she truly began to learn more about it. Both from practice with Floote, and Velvet's journal. Amaranth leaned closer, deadly serious.
"Brandon, sleep with me tonight," she said, silver and blue eyes locked on his black ones.

"....1807?!... I lost 9 years!" He said, completely shocked, surprised, and confused. Had he really lost that much time? He tried to recall some memories that would atleast connect 9 years ago with today, but it only exceeded to bring on more headaches. He gently rested his head in his hands as he said "I was really out for that long? That is impossible..." as he looked up to her when she asked what kind of nightmares he had.
"Really strange, yet terrifying ones. Surprisingly, all the nightmares are of me." He replied, as he wondered why she was so curious all of a sudden, but her next request, which seemed more of a command, startled him beyond anything he experience... As she told him to sleep with her.
"S-Sleep with you?! B-But we just met! I mean... We hardly even know eachother!" He said as his cheeks turned a bright crimson red. He never had any girl just tell him to sleep with her. To other guys, this would seem like a real treat. But to Brandon, it was a complete unexpected surprise.

His nightmares were quite interesting, but more on the tamer side than what she's experienced before. Amaranth took a quick look at the clock. It was late, most of the students were already turning in. She'd brew up the tea for them and they could get down to business. Ignoring him, she stood and went over to the counter, taking out a small box and opening. The smell of spices floated out. She looked over at him.
"You can go ahead and dry your clothes in the laundry room, it's straight through that door. After, meet me in my room, second on the left," she said. Amaranth turned back to the counter, taking out regular tea bags and turning on the kettle which was already filled with water. The Ghost Maker's Tea as it was called was an old trick used by Blood when ever he wanted her to go into a deep sleep quickly. It had helped her access the dream world more quickly and found that it could be useful in times like this. The tea wasn't very tasty, but it was effective.
She didn't bother to see if he did go into the laundry room, instead making the tea up quickly and bringing it to her room. She had no intention to sleep with him, well, the kind that he was thinking of anyway. But if she could access his dreams, it would give her more information on how he ended up here. At least, that was the theory.
Setting the tea on her bedside table, Amaranth grabbed her night clothes and headed into her bathroom. She didn't want him coming in while she was changing after all. She changed quickly, the over sized t-shirt and short pj shorts making up her night clothes. Stepping back into her room, Amaranth pulled her hair into a ponytail as she waited for him, lost in thought.

Brandon nodded, as he followed her instructions to the letter. He headed to the laundry room and gotten his clothes dried and refreshed, as they smelled alot nicer. "I wonder why she wants me to sleep with her.... Strange women these days..." He said, quite unaware of what she was planning for his dreams. She had no clue what lay in store for her in Brandons chaotic mind, or what awaited for her.
After getting his clothes done, Brandon made his way to her bedroom, knocking on the door, then opening the door and going in some 5 seconds after the knock. Just to make sure he wouldnt just walk in on her. "Um, So how come you want me to sleep with ya? Im perfectly fine with a couch ya know." He said, still red in the cheeks.

Amaranth turned as he walked in, noting the red on his cheeks. She rolled her eyes at it and sat on the bed. Picking up her glass of tea, she quickly downed it, a shiver of displeasure going through her at the horrendous taste. Amaranth put the cup down and scooted against the wall, pulling the covers over her.
"I want to look into your nightmares, try to find out how you got here. It's a long shot, but it might be useful," she said, turning her gaze onto him. She nodded at the still full cup of tea on her bedside table.
"Drink that, it'll help you get to sleep faster. I suggest you gulp it down, it doesn't taste very good," she advised. Amaranth laid down on her side, facing him while she waited for him to drink it and get into bed. she was already starting to feel the effects of the tea. Her head felt sluggish and she had a hard time keeping her eyes open.

"Well, I guess I do trust you enough..." He said, as he sat on his side of the bed, picked up the tea, and gulped it down faster then a kid could down milk. He then shook his head violently, while making a sour face. "Bleech, that stuffs horrible." He said, as he laid down beside her, and smiled.
"Dont get any funny ideas." He said with a playful smirk as he popped his lil joke. He chuckled a bit as he closed his eyes, and let the tea's effects take its hold, making him drift to sleep. He was out like a light before Ammy was, which was quite surprising.
If/when she did fall asleep and entered Brandons subconscious, She would find herself in a dark plain. Grass however, covered it, but dark purple clouds were completely covering the sky, as lighting flashed all around her. A Strange dream for a boy like Brandon, but Ammy would find that she wasnt alone. No no, Far from it.
For in the distance, she could see someone walking towards her. At a first glance, it looked like Brandon, but this version of him was covered in scars. Shirtless, and his eyes were glowing crimson red. His dream aura even reeked of an evil that the Brandon she already knew didnt have. Even his voice was different. "Who are you?"

He was out in no time. The tea was strong stuff. Amaranth was only able to last this long thanks to having drunk it for four years now. She laid down, taking his hand in her's and weaving her fingers through his. With a calming breath, she closed her eyes.
She opened her eyes, the empty blackness greeting her. She was in the dream world, the place she traveled almost every night. With a sigh, she started walking. She didn't look the same as when he last saw her. Her hair was loose, flowing softly behind her. Her over sized t shirt and shorts were there either. Instead, a dark, plum-colored gown covered her. The top was a simple bodice with gold trimming, the skirt going just past her knees. A silk belt of wine-red was around her waist, a choker of the same color around her neck. No, the wasn't the Amaranth he met earlier. This was Amaranth Rixior, Dream Walker.
Closing her silver and blue eyes, she concentrated, picturing Brandon's face in her mind. When she opened them a moment later, a door stood before her. With a soft sigh, she stepped foreword and opened the door. It disappeared as she walked onto the grassy plain. Lightning flashed in the distance, dark purple clouds covering the sky. Yes, this truly was a nightmare...
"Who are you?"
She turned, her eyes resting on a very different version of Brandon. His was covered in scars, his eyes crimson instead of black. Even the aura he had was different, something that made her shiver just at the feeling of it. She turned toward him fully.
"The better question would be, who are you?" she asked.

"A Better way to describe myself is a wild tiger in a cage, that has been forcibly hidden away." the other mysterious Brandon said, as he walked closer to her. But not too close to her, as he started to circle her, as his own aura seemingly threatened to engulf her. It was almost if his Aura was literally dripping with evil.
Each step he took, his footsteps was nothing but dead grass. This Brandon was nothing but trouble. "I used to be known as Omega...Raziel... And until recently before I was locked away... I was Brandon... The Real Brandon." He added, before he came to a stop infront of her. He smirked, as this Brandon also had some pretty sharp looking fangs accompanying his normal teeth.
"My, do you look delicious..." He said, as he licked his lips slowly. He gave a soft chuckle as he also asked "Since your here, and not a image from my weaker half's imagination, I am willing to bet you want some answers... Like... How did he get here? Why he has no memory of the last 9 years... and what he really is... Am I right?"

Amaranth stood there, letting him circle her, unafraid. She had encountered many things in this realm, some which were far more terrifying than him, and far more dangerous. His aura moved closer, almost engulfing her. She closed her eyes and as she did, her own aura pushed his back, though it was a purple color instead of her normal red. Amaranth opened her eyes once more, training them on the dream man that circled her.
"The real Brandon? You don't look very real to me," she said, eying the fangs with a dismissive glance. Fangs were not something she was unaccustomed to either. After all, she had them herself in the Waking world. She ignored his next comment, focusing on his question.
"Why else would I be here? I don't make a point to Dream Walk unless I need to," she replied, rolling her eyes. She stepped foreword, her own aura leaving her as she did.
"But I'm sure you're not going to make it that easy for me, are you? If you were, I'm sure Brandon would know who he was by now," she said, stopping a few feet before him. The wind blew at them, making her long hair dance and the ends of her skirt flow around her legs. She didn't back down, didn't even show a lick of fear. Her eyes were locked on his red ones, cool and calm compared to the wild heat she felt from them.

"Oh I am very real my dear. As real as you are. However..." He started to say, staring into her eyes and smirking. He was tempted to grab her right there and try to corrupt her as he was used to doing. But doing so would be useless in his current state.
He let out a sigh, as he added "Unfortunately I only have fragments of the answers you seek. Like the other version of myself, My memory has been fragmented, but in other places that the other's mind isnt. I am unable to relay this information to Brandon, since our 'connection' is broken. It seems that when he experiences a negative emotion, I can make a brief connection." he said as he walked closer to her, still staring into her eyes. Lighting flashed behind him as he stopped a very short distance from her.
"I once had powers of a god. Controlling shadows as easily as you breathe air. I could break planets with a thought. I could give people power to do anything they wanted, such as protect love ones or... revenge perhaps? To right what/who has wronged you?" He said, still smirking as he attempted to snatch her hand with a good amount of speed. If he was successful, Ammy could feel a mix of a burning/tingling sensation in her hand.
"But I can tell you what I am... What Brandon is... He....We... Are not of this universe. We...are Darklings. Alternate Dimensional beings of Darkness and Chaos. Everyones past, present and future has darkness at somepoint in their lives.... I can smell that you have felt its touch long ago...."

He liked to talk. It seemed it was a villain thing. So Amaranth let him talk, not moving and inch, even as he came closer. She had to look up slightly, him being a bit taller than her. So he claimed to be a God? One who could destroy whole planets? Give people power? What then had caused him and Brandon to separate, for him to be pushed into the deepest recesses of his mind? And if he claimed to be the real Brandon, where had the Brandon she knew come from? Was he simply an after-effect of coming here? Or was he simply the good side while this was the bad one?
"You claim to have all this power, and yet here you are. Wasting away at the very back of his mind," she commented, raising a delicately arched brow. He snatched at her wrist, holding it tight. His touched burned her and she gritted her teeth to keep from crying out. She instead kept her gaze locked on his, betraying nothing. Giving him nothing. Emotions were fuel for these beings of dreams, Amaranth knew that all too well. After doing this for a year now, there was little that could get under her skin.
"As you said, everyone's been touched by it. Why should I be any different?" she asked, tilting her head to the side slightly. Her scar was something else that had changed in this world. Instead of a scar, marking of a dark purple made their way from her right hip to her left shoulder blade. Her mark of a Duiecite that appears only in this realm.
"So, if you are not of this universe, where are you from? And how did you get here?" she asked calmly, ignoring the burning from his touch.

The Evil version of Brandon growled under his breath as he let go of her hand, as he had seemed to of left a small burn mark on her. But this one was more of a crimson colour, as it glowed like his eyes. He had marked her, but as this was the dream realm, the mark would seemingly only appear in that world.
"Why am I here you ask? I was imprisoned! Forced to live this... shattered life while what was good that remained in my soul was ripped off, separated, and made into the shell that you found in that crater!" He said, as he turned his back to her, as it seemed that his back was scar free. yet Brandons back in the real life was horribly scarred, like the Evil Brandons front. It seemed that what was in the real world, was mirrored in this world.
"I was battling an Icarian ship when my own ships reactor went critical when Light energy struck my ship. It imploded, and created a vortex. I failed to close it, and was..... placed here. Granted, something happened in the void that caused Brandons mind to shatter, and our power somehow vanish. Only a fraction of both memories and power remain." He added, as he walked over to a hill, and placed his hand on the ground. He smirked, as he seemingly grabbed something, and pulled up a large cage like it was nothing.
Inside the cage, was only empty. "When I finally get what I need to take this body back, the Brandon you know...The one in the real world, will be put here for all of eternity, as a reminder to myself that there are mistakes I will take care not to repeat... And when I am back to my normal self.... Well, Let me give you a slight glimpse into YOUR future..." He said, pretty much giving her the basic pro villain speech that every generic bad guy would give to the Hero/Heroine. The Evil Brandon smirked as Ammy could feel something behind her, as a finger tapped her shoulder.
If she were to turn around, she would stare at herself right in her eyes. This version, had pale skin. Her eyes were a deep, dark red colour. Her nails were long, and sharp like knives. Even the other Ammy had long vampire fangs. And worst of all, the alternate, fantasy version of Ammy was wearing a wedding dress. But not one of a traditional sense. This one seemed to be weaved out of shadows itself. "When Brandon is asleep, I control what goes on in his mind. I have all the power here... So I can make him see what I want him to see.... I can make you see what I want you to see as well. Though I do admit, the dress is rather fetching on you. It brings out your eyes in a good way."

He had marked her. She had no idea for what purpose or even what that would entail, but she knew it had to be for some reason. Her arm returned to her side and she listened to his tale. He really did seem to be of an alternate universe rather than an alternate time which was her first guess. There was little Amaranth knew about different worlds, she was still trying to understand this one after all. Her eyes followed him, watching as he pulled up the cage. It was obvious that had been his intention. Trapping the other Brandon would be difficult from this realm, she knew that much at least. What she didn't expect though was a tap on her shoulder.
She pivoted, taking a step back as she did so only to come face-to-face with herself. Or at least what he claimed would be her future self. The Amaranth before her was in her first transformation, the same in every way save for the wedding dress of shadows. A shiver passed through her, she couldn't help it. There was no way in heaven or hell that she would allow this to happen. She was never going to end up like this and the first step of that was to keep Brandon from turning into this.
"What? No date first?" she asked, turning to look at him with a raised brow. She turned completely, walking forward. She ignored the fantasy he had created, ignored the cage he pulled from the ground. She stood before him, eyes narrowed.
"You can create whatever fantasy you wish but know this: I will NEVER be yours, and I will not let Brandon become you," she said, venom dripping from her words. A door like the one she had come through appeared behind her and she turned away from him, stepping through. The door closed behind her, disappearing once more and leaving her in the total blackness. She sighed, closing her eyes.
"Time to wake up..."

The evil Brandon grinned as Ammy turned to leave the dream world he controlled as he said just as she was leaving. "You may not have a choice when the time comes." He said, as all had faded as Brandon regained consciousness.
He let off a soft groan as he put a hand on his head. The pain was still there, but he let off a sigh as it quick subsided. "That was strange... The monster wasnt there this time..." He said. As the Monster was the evil Brandon. It would seem that Ammy had distracted the evil version of himself from tormenting the other Brandon. "And my head doesnt hurt as much... What happened in there?" He asked as he opened his eyes and looked over to her.

She awake much more slowly, fading back into the real world. She kept her eyes closed, though she heard Brandon moving, speaking to her. But she didn't move, make any response. Amaranth took a deep breath, the air flowing nicely through her lugs as the numbness slowly left her body. She twitched slightly as the feeling came back and with it, an incredibly burning sensation on her left wrist.
"In my bathroom there's a pill bottle, would you mind grabbing me one of the tablets inside an a cup of water?" she asked. Her voice was soft, hardly a whisper. She still didn't open her eyes, didn't even move. The pain in her wrist was almost unbearable, but it was a pain she would not allow him to see. She took a few more deep breaths, the morning sun from the window behind her warming her exposed skin, helping things along.
She had learned much from his dream, though she was unsure if she would reveal everything to him. Amaranth didn't know how he would react, didn't know if it would be some kind of trigger. She had just left his dark half and didn't want to meet up with it again, especially when she was so weak. These moments fresh from that realm were always the hardest. Before she could control it, she would often wake up with pain running through her body, silent screams ripping from her throat as she convulsed in agony. It was why no ones room was near her's in her manor. It was why she had sought control, and why she always had a bottle of pain medication handy.
