Ru brought his arm up to his face, whiping away what little refuge had escaped. He did not cry often, and even here a real tear did not come out. But Nam leaving would have been awful. And hearing that he was not going to leave did put Ru at ease.
Ru did not notice how perplexed Nam had become at the idea that he had seen this all in a dream, and so he paid no attention to it, only noticing that he was no longer angry. He was happy to see that Nam wasn't mad at him, he really couldnt control his dreams, and if he could he certainly wouldnt have been dreaming about such scary things.
It was then that Nam asked him if he wanted to get stronger, this was an unnecessary question, of course Ru wanted to get stronger, the very idea wiped his mind of anything other than getting stronger, he quickly responded.
"Of couwse I do! I want to be stwongew than you!"
He said, a cocky smile plastering across his face as he got into a fighting stance, one that of course had no real meaning, and would not provide him with any defense, or offensive positioning for that matter. This four year old knew very little of the real world, but he did know that getting stronger with Nam would be more fun than anything he could have possibly done out here by himself, so the decision was relatively simple.

Nam’s eyes flashed. Good, he thought, further justifying his decision. He was starting to get excited, imagining the power this kid could one day reach. But he still felt that faint guilt eating away at his consciousness. He’s just a kid! He’s too young to fight! He should be running around and playing, living in a fantasy world! He shouldn’t be involved in politics, cause this was most definitely political –the violent side. Nam, you’re taking advantage of him! Ritoru, I need you to blow all my doubts away…
Nam gazed into the child’s sparkly blue eyes. He struggled to keep a straight face despite all the turmoil going inside that troublesome mind. He seemed so placid on the outside, but if his thoughts and emotions were to manifest, it’d drown the entire universe with abstract complexity and hieroglyphics!
He leaned closer to Ritoru, maintaining the same serious tone with furrowed eyebrows. He wasn’t mad, he was just serious and he wanted Ru to take the following question with all the seriousness and genuinity he could muster. Be honest! He thought. Be clear! Be precise…
Nam followed up on the previous question, “…and, if you had that power…” he paused. The intensity began to stack up with every moment he didn’t speak. Ritoru waited bug-eyed for Nam’s question. He got slightly closer and squint his eyes; uttering slowly, he whispered, “What would you do?”

Things were getting intense, Nam had met Ru on his level and seemed to be getting closer, and closer to him. It was then that he asked Ru what he would do with all that power. Ru looked confused after the question, his head cocking to one side, and his forehead wrinkling as he simply responded.
"Well...I'd save the wowld....duh"
He said, as if no other reasonable option was even present. Ritoru did not have anything else in mind, to this four year old you were either a hero, or a villain, and since Nam was clearly a hero, that made Ritoru a hero as well.
And that was good, Ru did not really want to be a bad guy. He wanted to be a famous hero, flying around saving the day from evil doers. And since he knew now that Nam was capable of flight, the idea was paramount to him. He had to learn how to fly, and fight, and shoot beams of light from his fingertips. Everything seemed so new and exciting.
Regardless of how dangerous the situation actually was.

It has come to my attention that while made a long time ago, Ritoru was never officially accepted and his profile is incomplete. Even more so with his change in history and race. This thread will be locked until this error on everyone's part is fixed. Please notify me or one of the other admins once it is. Thank you.

Nam sighed towards the kid’s simple answer. That’s enough for me! He thought. He looked back up at Ritoru and flashed a smile, promptly standing up straight as he looked down at him. “Alright then,” he started. “From now on, you’re my special disciple!” he stated, flipping his hood back over his face. Nam extended his hand for Ritoru to hold on to. Tonight, they would be sleeping on beds –dusty beds, but beds. Nam didn’t really have a home to call his own but he knew of a special place in the sky that always had room for nomads.
The moment Ritoru would grab onto the cloaked man’s gloved hands, wind currents would begin to surround the two. Nam’s cloak fluttered just as Ritoru’s blond hair and to his surprise; his feet would be lifted off the ground. A white smirk shone through the shadows of his hood. “Hold on tight!” he warned, knowing this was Ritoru’s first time flying.
Soon, the pair were soaring through the sky. Nam was shaken though. From today on he was responsible for the little boy he met in the wilderness. He never saw himself as a mentor, but Maruca seemed to think so –and so did Ritoru. Still, Nam felt he had much to learn before he could teach others, he was still a student himself and he didn’t think his learning phase would ever end…
