The attack succeeded, blinding the human before he was able to make an adequate attack. The solar flare wasn't charged, so the blindness wouldn't last for too long. Strategically, however, Requies punched in front of him, still sensing the master. Jorlaxl, still recovering himself from the flare, was pushed backwards unexpectedly, rendering him unable to counter Requies' next attack. Punching downward, he loosened all the dust in the room, sending it flying. The dust spread around the room, blotting out any chance for Jorlaxl to see Requies. He imagined this was so he would have time to gather feeling in his arm again, which was a strategic maneuver, all considered. Jorlaxl coughed as he tried to rub the dust out of his eyes.
"Well done, Requies, well done. I think this spar is over, as I have gauged your potential and your... mannerisms." Waiting for the dust to clear, he bowed before Requies. "If you're interested in becoming a student here, you are more than welcome to join."

The sound of the master coughing came into Requies's ears, as his paralyzed arm recovered fully. He spun it in a circle, as he held his shoulder with his other hand. He was still recovering his sight, though, so he'd have to try and hear out his opponent. However, it seemed Jorlaxl wished to end the spar, approving of Requies's strategies. The ex-soldier stood up and bowed, not really sure where the man was. "I'll happily take up your offer, master. I just want you to understand, however, that there may be moments where I may leave to go back to the Satan City every now and again. There were a bunch of kids that I decided to be a role model for and want to keep checked on," Requies stated, as he tried to open his eyes, still seeing a white glare from Jorlaxl's technique. "... I'll also have to take a bit of time to search the island. Get myself familiar with it." Requies turned around, trying to feel out the wall to figure out where in the room he was. He opened his eyes, the white glare fading away and color returning to the room. He was on the far left side of the room, nearly backed into a corner. He made his way to the exit, staggering over due to his still hazy sight. He shook his head, looking ahead again. This time, his sight seemed to have recovered. Requies stood once more and walked out of the room, grabbing his stuff as he did. "Hey, master! Where would I be staying during my time here," Requies asked, standing right outside the room so the master could tell him where to go. After he did, Requies made his way to the room, stopping by the kitchen and grabbing some bread rolls. [end] (This was fun! Can't wait for the lessons!  ) |
