The blows that Requies suffered caused him to lay still, blood exploding out of his mouth. He already acknowledged his defeat, yet the bastard kept going, apparently releasing much of the reserves he had in him! Requies couldn't sense out energy, but the physical demonstration he had just suffered told him that this creature was much stronger than what his fighting had let on to be.

Requies was left facing the ground, with one eye to watch this monstrously strong opponent as it pointed at him with a ki blast charged at the tip of his finger. It asked him a very difficult question for Requies to answer in his weakened state. The ex-soldier was asked, despite in his weakened state, if he would sacrifice himself for the master and those on the island. Requies tried to speak, but blood splattered out once more. His ribs were broken and tearing a bit at his left lung.

To respond, he used a trembling hand to try and write out his response. He was slowly losing vision and losing consciousness, so he wrote out one word.

Requies's hand collapsed on the sand, his sight going black. His breath, though barely there, continued on. The ex-soldier would not be conscious of what the creature would do next. He could only hope that he'd still be alive and the people here were as well.

The human was something else. Even broken, bloody and unable to talk he would give his own life to protect others. The Majin smiled as the ball of ki at his finger tips slowly dissipated and his hand fell limply to his side. Requies had spelled out in blood, Yes, just before his body had gone limp as he slipped into unconsciousness. Kazama dropped into the crater and plodded over to the human. Although Kazama could not heal the human he could but for amusing him as much as he did he could at least leave him with someone who could.

Using his telekinesis he lifted the ragdoll body of Requies into the air causing his head to fall backwards in a very uncomfortable angle. A quick twitch of the eye rectified it causing his head to fall forward with his chin into the chest. The blood dripped from his jaw and soaked his shirt. The man’s chest was partially malformed and it looked uncomfortable to breathe. His ribs were broken and his breathing shallow. Kazama’s hand began to rise up into it was level with his chest.

Kazama’s seemed to hold his breath as he thought of killing the human. It would be so easy and there would be nothing he could do about it. Another life snuffed out in the exact way he was designed to do so. It would be nothing. Nothing at all. There was a fierce battle of voices inside of his head as he thought on the choice until he heard a voice cut through it all.

‘Leave him alone. He fulfills my ideal.’

The voice was sweet and succulent to Kazama’s ears. He lifted off the ground and flew into the night carrying Requies limp body flowing behind him. He landed outside of the Crane School lying in the grass with a single note on his body which read:

‘Requies,

You have proven yourself to be more powerful than I gave you credit for. You have the potential to be a great savior and protector of people. I only hope you stay along that path and don’t seek out revenge. Remember our little incident that occurred today. Carry it with you. Become as strong as I am. Fight to protect those your care about and those you don’t know.

I do have a personal favor to ask you. I have friends, or at least I did at some point. They were good at doing what you desire to do and what I do. They protect people. Seek them out for they will be able to help you become more powerful to achieve your goal. Tell them the bubblegum man sent you. Until then watch for my exploits as I defend the Earth.
