Unfortunately for the Namekian, this Saiyan had managed to catch that cringe of his, a slight smirk forming on his features. The technique would be a rather valuable asset to him in the future, that was a sure thing, but he would have to make sure not to show it off too much. At the very least, use it when it would be hard to see it, used too often a weapon became less effective. This was beginning to become more and more fun for the Saiyan, he wouldn’t have an easy time, but this fight was bound to show him his limits. Something he was looking forward to as a whole.
They both had taken blows from the other, so he would count it as an even exchange for now, his body could still move well. The Namekians seemed to be able to move well, so they weren’t any closer to a conclusion yet, but it probably wouldn’t be too long. His focus didn’t waver from his opponent though, he had numerous strategies running through his head right now. Some were definitely stranger than others, but he was considering everything on him, and around him as a weapon to use.
When the third eye appeared the Saiyan raised an eyebrow slightly, just when he thought this guy was normal looking he went and grew a third eye. Well, even if he suddenly grew five eyes, it wouldn’t change the fact that this man was his opponent and he needed to take him down. His current strategy was set, and he was prepared to start it, when he noticed the rocks around the area start to lift and aim for him. However, his attention was not drawn enough to not notice the arms coming towards him, so it was a double assault technically. That was fine then, lowering his body, the legs exploded with his strength as it was his turn to dash towards the Namekian, closing the distance rather quickly, ignoring the pain and damage from the rocks falling on him. Moving under the outstretched arms, as he went by, when the distance was closed enough and it became close quarters combat, he began his assault.
First, he threw three jabs towards the Namekians face, fast, sharp, and meant to distract him and hopefully, open his defenses enough for this next strike. Whether it worked like we wanted it to or not, he shifted his stance for a bigger blow, as he leaned down at a slight angle. Lifting up he angled his arm between that of a hook and an upper, one that would be harder to block then those other hits, this was a smash. Of course, this wasn’t going to be one simple punch either, as he threw the smash, he fired off his sniper bullet, an invisible ki ‘bullet’ that fired in a linear path from his fist. It would hopefully catch his opponent off-guard and allow him to sink the smash into his solar plexus.
Whether any of this worked or not would be a miracle, and through these attacks, his bones and muscles were alerting him to the damage he took from those rocks. The damage was focused into his back, he could feel the spots that were hit, nothing severe, but it was piling up slowly on him. (Lemme know if anything seems wrong and I can fix it, right now kind of out of it)

Basna smirked. He was impressed to see Yuumaru see through his sneak attack. It wasn’t often he faced such an alert fighter. He had lost count of how many times he’d try this tactic and they were almost always successful. Unfortunately, he had made the wrong move and not taken proper advantage of the situation. “Silly saiyan…” he murmured to himself and smirked. He was doing all the work for him; instead of, Basna bringing Yuumaru to him; Yuumaru was bringing himself to Basna.
His outstretched arm began to retract back in a timely matter, meanwhile, as the blue haired saiyan closed in from under; the young namekian revealed his free hand which was charging of buzzing and shrilling blue orb of energy. Basna would wait to see the terror in his opponent’s eyes as the blast was aimed at his face in point blank. He clenched his teeth and cringed at the burning sensation he felt with every muscle, tendon and joint were moved to perform the action.
Just before Yuumaru could react, his retracting arm would land back on his shoulder and grasp on it tightly; reassuring the success of his attack. The blue orb would then act its name as it burst into a wide range energy attack. It roared and crackled as it engulfed its target. Basna would have released the saiyan just as the blast took over to keep his own limb safe from the effects. The damage wouldn’t be fatal and it wouldn’t cause any form of severe injury –but he would definitely feel it singe his skin as it pushed him back away.

It seemed that he wanted Yuumaru to come closer in the first place, so he had a little scheme running through his head, did he? When the energy blast was there, he narrowed his eyes, and then glanced towards the hand that was trying to keep him in place. A smirk formed on the Saiyans face, and when the Namek tried to pull his arm away, Yuumaru’s own shot out to grab at it. “What’s the matter, I thought you wanted this up close and personal?” the hand that contained the blast would soon find aiming to wrap around the wrist, and push it so it hit them both.
With his free hand, he charged the energy for his Void Ripper into it once more, if this was going to escalate to heavy blows, then he would need to respond. However, the burst knocked him away from the Namekian, his body feeling weird after it hit him. There wasn’t a lot of damage, but there was a strange tingling there, that he couldn’t quite pin down what happened. His eyes shifted towards the Namek to see if he’d managed to catch him in his own game or not, it would be fun to see what he was doing now.
An opponent that could push him, and give him such a good fight, that was a rare occurrence for him, but he welcomed it as he tried to force his body to stand upright. It seemed that it wasn’t responding normally though, clenching his teeth, he continued to try and force the muscles to answer his demands. He was not going to let this keep him down, and he was keeping the energy contained within his fist through sheer willpower.

“Oblu!” Basna cursed in his native tongue as the saiyan grabbed onto his retracting arm and made it suffer from his own technique. The Energy Burst roared and soon Yuumaru would lose his grip on the namekian, flying off at the other end. The result, his arm was now singed by his own move and dangled down beside him as he coped with the pain; his other hand trying to comfort it by pressing on his shoulder and holding onto it. He applied pressure. It burned, and he cringed, but he could still assume they were hand to hand –even though he managed to get another unexpected blow on him. His three eyes were misty and he rubbed off the humidity with his arm.
He glared at the blue haired saiyan and shook off the pain from his steaming left arm. He curled his fingers into a tightly clenched fist. His arm was burning with every moment and his veins were popping. Finally, he smirked. This guy was much better than he thought. It was time to take this up a notch. The battle had just started and already they had broken out some weakening moves. Where was this saiyan’s sense of fun? This time, Basna would charge at him with nothing but his limbs to fight –as long as he wasn’t forced otherwise. He wanted close combat? He was gonna get it!
Basna lunged with his fist out forward in the offensive. He would follow up that first thrust with a second punch to the face and then shift to a roundhouse kick at the oblique. This combo would continue with the bending his that same knee as he thrust three more rapid and blinding kicks which alternated between the thorax and the thighs and finally a fourth diving deep with the balls of his feet into the man’s solar plexus. The sharp pain would force Yuumaru to lean over and give Basna the green lights to continue the onslaught as he turned back to his fists and slammed a heavy hit across the face, a second on the other side and a third smack in the middle.

Yuumaru grinned at the curse from his opponent, he had managed to catch him in his own attack, something that would be counted as an accomplishment. Of course, with their distance, his own body was recovering from the blast of that technique as well, loosening up his body one more. This was fun for him, it wasn’t toying with the enemy or playing games, for him fun was throwing everything you had at your opponent and seeing who could endure it all. For the time being, they were about even in that regard, but he was going to try his best to take the Namekian out this time.
His body felt like it was on fire, and it only served to wake up is entire body, as his eyes were alive with a flame all their own. Standing his ground, he took the punches, however the roundhouse kick would be finding it missed its mark with aiming so high, as he dropped down and threw his left fist, releasing his Void Ripper once more. The pressure wave exploded from his fist, and he would follow it up with a right smash aimed at the Solar Plexus once more, this time using the Void Ripper as a means to lower his opponent’s guard. That wasn’t the end of his own attack session either, as his left fist came back around in a hook, aiming to smash it into the Namekian’s jaw.
Regardless of the attacks he was letting loose with, he was starting to feel the tiredness pile up more, he wasn’t sure how much longer he’d be able to fight. He couldn’t let this go on too much further, and they would need to end it, whether it was through fighting or just stopping. If his thoughts were correct, it was getting close to nightfall on Vegeta now, and they needed to get the ship into the sky again shortly. This clash would likely be the last one, before they absolutely had to leave, so he would make it one worth remembering at least. If everything connected, the Namek would be feeling immense pain, if not well he’d be on the receiving end of the retaliation.
It was this excitement to see just what his opponent would do, that made his blood boil with excitement, there were no better fights than ones that had a chance to go either way. It made the end result that much more interesting, because things wouldn’t simply go one way.

Basna gasped as his opponent surprisingly crouched nearly all the way to the floor just to evade his kick. He had missed him by a hair string. The fight was starting to get nostalgic as Yuumaru would always crouch under Basna’s attack and follow up with another move. His antennae twitched. He smirked. His roundhouse kick would follow through and across with its momentum, reaching back to the land. He now had his back at the saiyan who was now rising with his left fist in the air, but Basna had propped himself on his right leg and pushed back for a reverse kick in the face with the heel of his left leg.
But instead of hitting the face, his leg connected with his rising fist and it happened again; although he had halted Cargo’s onslaught, his entire body jerked. He felt that weird pulsating wave wrack his organs once again and, losing his footing, collapsed to the ground in awestruck. He squint his eyes and glared with his puckered and puzzled face. What kind of technique was this man using?
Basna struggled to bring himself back to his feet. His body burned, feeling like a giant heart, pumping blood throughout every section on his body. It was his muscles though that had begun to swollen slightly –like that time when you’d thump your big toe against the corner of something and cursed into the air. His breathing ragged and he clenched his hands tightly. It was settled, he could no longer allow his opponent to touch him. He smirked as a drop of sweat rolled down his face.

The dodge against the roundhouse kick had worked, it was the best thing he could use in this situation, but he would have to start throwing some mixes into it. He hadn’t expected him to turn fully and then reverse the roundhouse kick either, but it wasn’t something he couldn’t deal with. When his Void Ripper unleashed, it stopped his attack in its tracks, both of them kept putting a stop to their combination attacks. However, there was still a noticeable difference, Yuumaru had taken more, and stronger hits, his body was throbbing with pain.
As Basna stood up once more, Yuumaru took his fighting stance for a moment, before shaking his head and lowering his arms. “Time for the spar is up now, if you want to continue, then get on the ship and once we’re on our way, I’ll set the grav chamber up,” he motioned to the open hatch. He figured if this Namekian was as thrilled with fights as he seemed to be, then he wouldn’t pass up the chance. Of course, if he decided not to come, then it would be a matter of taking him by force as well, orders were orders, after all.
“If you have any complaints or whatnot, you can take it up with the General or the King when we hit Vegeta,” he figured, it would be something of a compromise at least, if he wanted something to take care of, then he could just discuss it later. Right now, there was a time schedule, and things to get taken care of, they had no time to be wasting right now. “Let’s go,” he said, turning towards the open hatch and motioning to Tsuken that they were leaving. The warrior could make up his own mind, come now and train with a group of warriors.
“if you don’t come now, then the chance of us meeting again, will likely be slim. Not to mention, the next time you’d see me, I’d be stronger than you,” a slight challenge, maybe it would help spur his decision, but regardless, the blue-haired Saiyan walked into the ship. He could feel the spots on his face where he had gotten hit swelling slightly, that was the price of taking such powerful hits like that, though.

Basna’s eyes widened. He hadn’t expected his opponent to throw the match. But he felt the battle had definitely reached its end as Yuumaru dropped his guard and lowered his energy. Basna reluctantly did the same. But we were just getting to the good part! He thought and complained within the confines of his mind. He pouted slightly in the form of a snarl and spit some purple namekian blood mixed with saliva out of his mouth. Those punches to the face weren’t light.
He followed behind the blue haired saiyan, but then came to a halt at the edge of the crater. It was evident that these men had a tight schedule. But it was also evident that the young namekian had something on his mind. He was doubtful –not about traveling with them, but leaving without taking Elder Carnel’s power.
“Hold it.” He called out to the saiyan nearly entering the ship. Once he had his undivided attention he continued to speak. “What if I said…” he paused, thinking over whether what he would say was accurate or not.
“What if I said I could get three times stronger than what I currently am if we just wait a few more days?” Of course, he was referring to the Guru’s incredible ability to unlock potentials. Although, Basna himself did not know how big this power was. He only made a white lie by feigning to know just how big this power-up was. He was also sure he could figure out his little riddle during those few days; otherwise, he would have to make a choice in this second. Go with the saiyans, or stay on this boring planet for a power he might not even get. He clenched his fists in frustration.
But then he smirked in light of an epiphany. “Actually,” he said, “If you come with me now, it might occur within the next hour…”
The saiyans were allied with the namekians and the Guru was at the center of this alliance. Basna was almost positive that Elder Carnel would give him that power he desired if he were informed about the upcoming war and had the saiyans to vouch for him. It was to save their planet after all! In case that wasn’t enough of an incentive, he emphasized. “This would make me a much better asset to your cause and shorten the time and money spent on my training.”

The call awoke the Saiyan from his slumber, and he rolled from his bed. His armor had been thrown into a corner, and he was barefoot, but those things were unrequired for him to answer the call that was bothering him so. With the call raging, he made haste, his naked feet softly registering against the floor as he entered a closed door. Still half asleep, the Saiyan pulled aside an overlapping section of his singlet and pressed his other hand against the wall, leaning full against it as he relieved himself. “Aaahhhh. . .” he groaned, concealing his manhood before he washed his hands in the small sink, his eyes looking over the monitor which kept track of the water levels. . .and the time.
“A fucking hour!?” he growled. With a grip of his fingers and a flick of his wrist, the water was turned off and Rensou Hiruen began to make the movements necessary to carry him from the sleeping quarters to the training deck and finally the bridge, where his digits quickly entered the digits to open the hatch upon the keypad. The thing hissed open, and the light of the Namekian sun was warm on the skin of the Saiyan as he levitated out of the ship and up above the crater to level his eyes at Yuumaru and the Namekian his son called Greeny...actually, Gweeny. Speaking of his son, Tsuken was treading water beyond the island and bore witness to the tense nature of his father as he stared at Yuumaru Mori and the Namekian.
“Would someone explain to me why I'm not halfway back to Vegeta!? requested the General, his auburn tail churning the air behind him, much akin to a serpent. He was barefoot and in his black singlet, his arms crossed over his chest and his eyes were slitted with anger. Tsuken had flown to him by now, and the youngster was dripping wet with water. “Gweeny and Yuumawu awe pwetty good, papa!” he beamed, and Rensou glanced downward to him and ruffled his hair with a hand before he crossed his arms again. Even his son could not brighten his dark mood.
“-Gweeny- and -Yuumawu- had best get their asses inside the ship or they can remain here, Tsuken,” and those narrow eyes returned to the Namekian and the Saiyan, awaiting their answer – not an explanation, mind you, he was entirely intent on leaving without them if either of them did not make the movements to enter The Gladiator.

The widened eyes weren’t a surprise to him, not many would expect a Saiyan to stop in the middle of a battle like that, spar or not. However, he never let his pride or his battle lust blind him either, he continued forward with a clear head through it all. They had to head back to Vegeta, and he doubted General Rensou would be pleased if they were more than a few minutes late. While he didn’t like taking orders from nameless, powerless people, both the General and King were different. Their orders were to be followed, they were men that had earned his respect once he had been inducted into the ranks.
He was already stepping into the hatch with one foot when the Namekian called out to him to stop, and he turned his head. If he was going to change his mind, then he would have to throw enough Void Rippers into his body to bring him with them. The order was to bring back the strongest Namekians, and that was what he planned to do, if the situation called for it. He would at least hear the other out though, there was no harm in doing that, at least.
“Can you guarantee that you would be able to get it? If not, then we can’t waste any time,” his answer was plain and simple. There was a schedule to keep, and it seemed that this warrior had at best, a gamble that he could get this kind of power. He continued to talk though, and the level of power he was talking about, cause a raised eyebrow from Yuumaru. There was something that could increase one’s power that much in such a short time, that seemed like something the General should hear, unless he knew and this was just a waste of time.
“If that’s true, then you should talk it over with the General, it’s something he’d likely be interested to see,” he shrugged slightly. That was how he saw it, he didn’t have the authority to make a decision like that, just to make sure that they took off in a timely manner. Of course, that appeared to be too late as well, as the General himself came out from the ship and was looking rather cross regarding them not having launched yet.
“Apologies, General Rensou, the spar took longer than anticipated,” granted, that was probably evident from the condition both fighters were likely in right now. When Tsuken flew over and complimented them, he took it at face value, the child didn’t seem the type to patronize about things like that. When the General made his comment, the Saiyan saluted, as he walked towards the entrance to The Gladiator.
“I realize my mistake, I just thought you would be interested in the fact that the Namekian says he can triple his power within the hour,” he wasn’t going against the General’s words either, he was entering in the ship, he just figured announcing it would help explain things as well. If the General was interested, he would act, if not then they would be leaving so there was no point to not enter the ship. He wasn’t foolish enough to not believe the General wouldn’t leave him behind.

Rensou gave the warrior a once-over before he commented on the state of things, some of his anger dwindled as he became more alert. “Tsuken says you fought well, Yuumaru. I expected no less,” and he turned to the Namekian then, offering a second veiled apology, “And you as well, Basna,” marking the first time Rensou had referred to the man by his given name instead of opting for what Tsuken had chosen. Speaking of, the youngster tugged at the tight fabric around Rensou's leg and it drew the father's attention.
“I want my powah unwocked, papa!” he begged, his eyes full of want – just as it had been Yuumaru's will to fight and gain strength, Tsuken also craved more power. The older Saiyan smiled, it seemed the child could be possibly swaying the Saiyan towards paying a visit to this “Elder” in search of greater strength for his forces. The Saiyan doubted the truth of the whole affair, but he had seen stranger things. . .perhaps this Basna was speaking fact.
The coal eyes settled on the Namekian, the rage gone altogether and replaced by a sense of curiosity, if the Elder could increase the power of Basna, could he for Rensou as well? Like Tsuken and Yuumaru before him, the lust for greater might was rising within the General and only one thing could sate such a thing: more strength. His mind was made up. “Let me dress, and we will see if Basna speaks truth,” and in an instant Rensou was gone: a Zanzoken back atop the ship which opened as he handled his remote.
In less than half a minute, the wiry fighter had returned. Tsuken sat atop his shoulder, and Rensou gave the nod, “Let's go, quickly!” He wished to return to Vegeta immediately after the mystery was proven reality or debunked altogether.

He wasn’t quite expecting that comment about his fight, but he nodded towards his Rensou, though, he didn’t quite feel the same about it. There were things he could have done, and things he probably shouldn’t have, but that’s what battles were for, learning from mistakes. You found out what worked and what didn’t, as well as what to do to better utilize your body, and he was starting to form ideas about that. Nodding though, he noted that he took the General’s words as they were, he was expected to perform like a warrior, and to an extent he had.
Watching Tsuken, he chuckled, although that was a bad idea as he suddenly had a slight pain shoot through his head. Those blows likely weren’t the best things to have taken to the head, they left him dizzy and with a strong headache. Rubbing his head slightly, it felt like he might have a slight concussion, but he couldn’t be sure about that right now. He’d have Ayleen run a diagnosis later aboard The Gladiator, when they were on their way back to Vegeta.
“Sir,” was the reply as Yuumaru gave the Saiyan salute, and waited for the General to return, this would be an interesting discovery. At the very least, it would mean that they had made allies with a very interesting species, if it was true that their power could increase so much in such a short time. Though, he didn’t realize it, his mind was misinterpreting what the Namekian had meant about increasing his power so much, in such a short time. When Rensou returned, he prepared to head off in the direction that Basna would lead them, despite that he had no means to fly, he would be able to keep up at least.
“Show us this power you can achieve, Basna,” he wanted to see where he could get such an incredible boost of power, and of course, it just made the man another one he would have to surpass, if it was true. It was something that only encouraged this Saiyan.

Basna gasped and instinctively got into a defensive stance when the general had rose up with such a derogatory tone in his voice. The sudden uproar definitely got him started and frightened, but his wariness soon vanished when he discovered it was only Rensou Hiruen. He snarled, not fond of the general’s high and mighty tone. He might be high ranked among their little organization, but he was no leader of this particular namekian. They were allies and Basna held as much authority as he did –especially while they were on ‘his’ planet.
His message had been promptly and successfully relayed to the general by his obedient subordinate. He smirked with an audible scoff when he even proceeded to praise the namekian’s fighting ability. He didn’t need to be patronized, he thought. He knew very well that he was an excellent fighter and didn’t need anyone to tell him. His punches, his body, and the outcome of the battle said it all; why would he need someone to acknowledge him? Although, the sentiment was noted and would definitely rise his ego. How couldn’t it when people confirm his own beliefs?
The man’s child then whined and tugged on the saiyan, saying that he wanted to get that power he spoke of. Basna grinned. If his midget wanted it, surely, daddy would comply –and that he did. The man’s eyes sparked with interest the moment ‘power’ and ‘three times’ were used on the same sentence. It was expected of these saiyans. Basna no longer knew why he worried so if he knew his cause would be something they’d jump at without a second thought.
“Right,” he replied. “Follow Mr. Gweeny!” he said as he lifted off and dashed into the distance, trusting that the saiyans followed closely behind.
He might have gone a bit too far with that last one, but who could blame him? The young namekian was excited. He could feel the power in his hands all over again –although, those were probably just the bruises Yuumaru inflicted on him. Regardless, he felt that this time it was definitely his; the saiyans were with him and the news of an upcoming war backed it all up perfectly, the greatest alibi he could possibly hope for. Cough it up Carnel! It’s time for a call to arms!

The pace the Namekian set for the cadre of fighters was an easy one for Rensou and his youngster to match, and Tsuken was the first to chase after the green skinned alien, laughter rolling from his lungs with excitement and the thought that he might have his own significant energy increased, and Rensou glided after them, the snarl noted in full. Perhaps the Namekian thought himself an equal to the General in skill and strength, a thing Rensou disagreed upon fully. Perhaps he would test himself against this Basna soon enough, for it was well within his ability to match the warrior to the exact numeral of his strength.
Now was neither the time nor the place, and Rensou would carefully bide his time and see if the thing the warrior had spoken of was worth all his constant bickering pertaining to the very subject. For now, Rensou and Tsuken Hiruen merely tailed the assured creature, certain that Yuumaru would follow as well.
"I'd better get paid well for this bullshit," Rensou groaned to himself. He was once again physically able to intensify his gravity training, and he longed to be back upon Vegetasei's sands once again so he might rise to the occasion if she were threatened.

It didn’t take long for them to take off into the air, a shame he couldn’t fly himself, but well, this was a chance to work on his speed as well. If he could keep up, then he would feel himself ready to learn the skill that would let him cut through the clouds. For now, he darted across the ground, taking long jumps to the closest islands towards where they were heading, if it wasn’t for them, he’d be swimming.
Thankfully, it didn’t seem like it would be that far of a trip, or so he thought, he was having difficulty grasping the time. He was sure that would pass though. His eyes remained focused on the Namekian and the other Saiyans, keeping them in his line of vision so that he could adjust his own path of travel appropriately.
Meeting with the elder of the Namekian race, it seemed like a fun chance, he wondered what that one would be like, compared to this warrior. His tail flicked with a hint of amusement, he would enjoy this planet quite a bit with all the secrets it seemed to have in hiding. “This was well worth the trip,” he commented to himself, rather enjoying getting to visit this planet for a bit of extra time as well.
