Knowing that he had been gone in the afterlife for a very long time, Ethar had decided to visit the Elder, if he was still alive, and find out what had happened since his death. He had no idea even as to what happened after the fight with the duo that took his life, and he knew that the Elder could bring him back up to speed, and perhaps tell him where the pair went.
Deciding to surprise the Elder, he used his newfound ability of flight to approach and enter the fortress through the roof. While he was a bit clumsy with his flying, he was starting to get a hang of it as Ethar slowly came in through the roof, startling anyone who was in the room. "Elder, I have returned from the afterlife. Sorry for taking so long to return to Namek." He said, as his feet touched ground.
Ethar wasn't wearing his normal clothing at that time, but the alternate colored Saiyan armour he acquired while in heaven, as well as having his enchanted sword across his back.

Carnel had finished his telepathic conversation with the Saiyan King and had been reflecting on all that had been happening. Not just with Namek, but with the war in general.
So many people had died. And though the Dragon Balls granted two wishes, how could he word things to revive them all? Or was that even possible to bring someone back from the dea-
"...I have returned from the afterlife. Sorry for taking..." Carnel's head shot up. Ethar!? He stared in surprise for a moment. He survived? Impossible! he was eaten alive after being blasted... So it was true then. Thankfully, the Legends of the Dragon would have to be true.
"Ethar..." he noted the new gear and power. "You look great. For... a dead man anyway." he said, standing up. He walked over to make sure the boy was in fact there and not just the result of Carnel's recent case of sleep deprivation.
He looked the boy in the eye and held the One-Stall Dragonball in his left hand. "You chose a good time to return, and a good place. I'm sure you have questions and I'll gladly answer."
He would likely have to explain everything that had happened so far.

Ethar let out a bit of a chuckle. Carnel thought he was still dead? it was somewhat hilarious, but it also surprised Ethar a bit that Carnel didnt know that people could eventually return to life at some point or another.
"Good to see you to. Im not dead anymore. I had quite the.... experience in heaven... And let me tell you... Its not what you would expect it to be. Heaven is just seemingly breaking out into war with Hell. Its starting to get messy up there." He said, as he watched the Elder get up and made sure that he was actually there, and not some figment of the imagination.
When the Elder said that it was a good time to return, it made him curious, as he asked "Why is it a good time to return? Is that pair that killed me still hanging around?" He asked, as his eyes caught the sight of the Dragonball in the Elders hand.
"And...Whats with the round rock? Looks nice." He added, not knowing what a dragonball even was, nor of its significance.

He was intrigued. "So, there is a heaven and a hell. I thought as much." he said, nodding. Then, Carnel began filling the boy in with the death of the Saiyan who had killed him, Myst's escape, and... the loss of the Ancient City.
"... and Kold... My son fought there. Many more innocents died, but Touketsuki Yakedo was a casualty as well." he explained. Carnel wondered what had become of Blaze lately. He had talked to him a little while ago, but he worried.
Carnel held the ball up. "As for this... its an ancient Namekian Artifact that contains a special magic. That's all I can say. There are six more scattered around, and I require someone to gather them for me."
He turned, walking over to a table and sat the ball down on a red pillow-like surface big enough for the others. two Black Gi stood at the ready beside it. Carnel turned back to Ethar. "I asked Basna, but he asks too many questions. The Saiyan King himself may arrive and aid, but he has much on his plate as well. And my son faces the same issue."
He walked up to the boy again and crossed his arms. "Help me gather these Relics, Ethar. In doing so, many innocents will be saved and many people will be happy again."
He needed Ethar to say yes. There was nobody else out there for him right now...

Ethar listened to everything the elder told him with a vigilant ear. "So, the saiyan is dead, but the Delithan was still around somewhere. His search would be for naught if he ran into her again with his current abilities.
With a nod, Ethar replied "Sure thing Elder. Ill do my best and find these.... Orbs for you. But unfortunately I cant promise that I will be successful. If I meet that woman again, and she learns of what Im helping you with, There is pretty much nothing I can do to stop her with my current abilities." with a sigh. He hated to Admit it, but against the Delithans, Ethar was just merely target practice. Heck, even his most powerful attacks could do hardly anything against them.
"Is there a quick way to track the orbs? Or will I just have to look everywhere for them?"

The Guru shook his head. "I don't know any method of locating them with ease, Ethar. I just have general ideas of where too look from how they flew off when I conjured them." he told him.
He then stretched his arms out with his fingers interlocked, cracking them quickly. "And as for that other problem... I'd like you to hold still for a moment."
Carnel looked Ethar in the eye. "Trust me."

"K, Ill do my best to find them and...eh? Hold still? Sure..." He said, as he didnt know what the elder was going to do, but he knew that Carnel wouldnt hurt him, since all he had done was nothing but help for him.
"I trust you." He said, as he remained still like a rock. A Remarkable feat for someone like Ethar, since he wasnt even that still even while he was asleep. He wondered what the Elder was going to him, but he had a feeling it was something he never heard of before. Then again, nearly 7 years in isolation, Ethar hardly knew anything of what the Elder was capable of.

Carnel chuckled. He was tired from all the telepathy and such, and also annoyed that nobody but Ethar was there to help Namek now. Where the hell were Basna and Orenji? Where the hell was Blaze? He said his next words slightly offhand. "Good. I'm about to touch you. And make you feel things that you've never felt before."
Ethar seemed unconformable. And Carnel knew why, the way he phrased that sounded slightly... perverse. He thought about re-phrasing, but decided to just roll with it and get this over with. His hand began to glow with a golden light...

"Good. I'm about to touch you. And make you feel things that you've never felt before." Ethar heard the Elder say. It did make him uncomfortable in quite a few ways. He trusted the Elder, but he was starting to have second doubts thats to the commenting about touching him.
"I...need an adult?" He said, as he saw the Elder's hand glowing, but remained perfectly still, just so he wouldnt mess up what the Elder was going to do to him. Whatever the light was, Ethar was secretly praying that he was going to benefit from it. "What is he doing?" He asked himself, wondering what was going to happen next.

Carnel's eyes widened. Damnit! He caught on to my mis-phrased words... He felt awkward as hell now, and had no idea what the hell to do.
So he did the first thing that came to mind. "I AM AN ADULT!!" he roared in an awkward and angry tone, throwing his hand out into Ethar's forehead at full force.
there was a loud thoom sound as the third person in hundreds of years received the ancient Unlocking Of Hidden Potential. The effects were more violent this time due to Carnel's stress level. The gold energy engulfed Ethar, the ground shook, and there was a loud rumbling sound. Ethar would see the room sort of spin as his base power tripled in power.
The two Black Gi threw their arms up to block their eyes from the blinding light and try to push back the two energies that had sparked in the main chamber of the Elders fortress. Most of the windows exploded, except the top dome one, witch only cracked.
Ethar would now be enough to handle most things on the planet that got in the way of the Gathering until the Saiyan King arrived. It was about time Carnel used this power anyway, it had been too long since... the last one.
This one, hopefully, wouldn't be a disappointment.
((Officially Unlocking Ethar's Hidden Potential at Base PL: 39,550. + 50,000 PL should be a new base of 89,550. Admin to confirm.)) ((Also, I'm glad they finally fixed that x3 thing, it was a big reason why I haven't been passing these out as much. Admin, requesting you send me the full details on the new Unlock system as soon as possible.)

Ethar braced himself for a good whack to the head, but what came next completely caught him off guard. He had to close his eyes as the bright light almost blinded him. His body felt like several dams inside him were suddenly removed, as he felt his own power more then double.
The sensation was amazingly enough, he felt that the sudden rush of new power was just an appetizer of new things to come, as he felt something else inside him waiting to be unleashed.
After the light had dissipated, Ethar opened his eyes, and stared at Carnel in amazement. "C-Carnel, w-what did you do to me? It feels amazing!" He said, his eyes lit up like there was a new fire in them.

Carnel could feel the energy radiating from the boy now. His power had increased substantially, over double for sure. "I have unlocked the potential you had hidden within" Carnel explained. "You are now capable of using this power at its full extent."
Carnel was impressed with himself as well, it had been a while since the last unlock. He was still unhappy with the Viron incident, but he had high hopes that Ethar would not follow in that direction.
"Ethar, if you'd like, there is a gravity chamber here on the planet. we can use it to test your new powers if you wish." he informed. "But after, we will have to go looking for these artifacts. They are needed for the greater good... I wish I could explain further for you, but I cannot."

Ethar looked at his hands for a moment, to see if he was glowing or anything, but he seemed normal, but he felt amazing. "Hidden potential eh? Must of been alot. I thank you." He said as he smiled brightly. It was the best thing that happened to him so far. Now he could take on larger threats with ease.
After Carnel told him about the gravity chamber, he shook his head. "Ill have to learn as I go. If these magical orbs are so powerful, it may be possible that someone evil has their own agenda for them, and time cannot be wasted in looking for them, am I right?" he said, as he gazed back to Carnel's magical ball. "I dont know what they are called, or what they can really do, but I shall do my best to find the rest of them, and bring them to you as soon as I possibly can."

Carnel chuckled at Ethar's words of it being alot. "Well... compared to the last Unlock... it wasn't very much." he stated. He noted Ethar's eagerness and shrugged. "Suit yourself. There was one that landed off in the Tainted Wasteland, home of the Blood Raiders. You should search there. I have some Necromanc- err... spell related training to attend to." Carnel stated.
He wasn't in approval of the boy just blasting off with more power and not having the time to test it. Even if he is stronger, a weaker and more experienced warrior could still take him down. But Carnel had a theory to test. Before he unlocked Ethar, and before, Viron, he could almost sense what their power was going to become. And with Blaze, he felt he could ascend to a new level of power on his own, without an unlock. Then, he transformed.
Carnel had been meditating hard on it, and thought that with enough concentration, he might be able to sense past the barriers of Ki within a person and see what true power thy held. Was it possible?
"Ethar, would you like to give me a quick hand with something else? I have something I'd like to test on you." he told the boy. "Nothing involving pain or attacking... I don't think. Just... hold still." he told him as he walked closer.
This situation was getting creeper and creeper for the poor boy...

"The wasteland eh? Seems like a place to hide such an item." He said. He had never been to the wasteland personally, but he didnt exactly fear the raiders himself, since they were just that. Raiders, with no real training or power. But they had numbers and determination which was something to be worried about.
When the Elder asked if he could test something on Ethar, he nodded. The elder hadnt wronged him before, and he had a feeling he wouldnt wrong him now. "Sure thing." He said, as he closed his eyes, waiting to find out what Carnel was planning for him.
He hoped that it would be quick. If a magical item was located in the wastelands, it was possible the raiders already had it, or that they were looking for it.
