That smoking pillar smoldered, the cherry atop it aglow in the pale light of the evening. A single flake landed softly against it, and it hissed beautifully. Through all the ruckus penetrating his lobes, Rensou Hiruen listened to the water against the burning tobacco, his teeth biting softly into the leaf binding the crushed tobacco within it. Amaranth, ever caring, had attempted to calm the King. Yuumaru, defiant and displeased, further assaulted the man verbally. Boliko himself had delivered a explanation for his reasoning, but that had not pleased Yuumaru. This is fucked up.
The Saiyan inhaled deeply, the toxins searing his lungs with heat and an acrid sting before he released a great plume of grey into the air, through his teeth and around his indulgence. Fingers unlocked, and an arm was lifted skyward to extend a single digit even higher. At the tip of it, a blue-green droplet of energy formed. Quickly, it extended, and the lance of energy cut into the cloud. The wrist spiraled, the elbow folded, and the shoulder rolled. In the dissipating mass, Rensou Hiruen had drawn the emblem of the empire and Vegetasei herself. A smile turned to frown as his work spread outward until it was finally unrecognizable.
With a slight grunt, Rensou rose to his feet and brushed the snow away from his garments. The lit butt was spat from the grip of his incisors, and he glanced from Yuumaru to Boliko as he stepped forward, slowly, deliberately, and placed his smaller frame between his soldier and king, with the princess witness to what was most definitely the strangest thing Hiruen had done this day. The man cleared his throat, feigning nervousness as his insides churned with anticipation. The Saiyan within him yearned for a fight, but the spark of sense within him knew such a combat stood against everything he strove to be.
Like the cloud, Rensou Hiruen cut the tension like a knife.
“'maru,” he turned his full attention to the Private Mori. “Let the man mourn.” The statement was not a request, but an order. The time to speak freely had long passed, and though Yuumaru had fair point, Boliko had not been raised as they had. Perhaps it was a good thing he released his emotions for all to see, perhaps not, Rensou would never know~ In addition to the many things the man was oblivious to, he had probably made the most rationale and intelligent decision of his life. The general certainly did not lack intelligence, but rationality – that he definitely lacked.
The warrior turned, glancing to Rixoir, they were in serious need of subject change. . . “Princess Rixoir, may we make base upon Nor?”

Rensou laughed. It wasn't comforting, or held any amusement. In fact, it sent chills up her spine. What exactly had happened? He shrugged off her hand, turning away. It stung, she didn't want it to. But it did. Amaranth dropped her hand.
At his words, her eyes widened. Vegeta was...gone? How could that be? What kind of creature could do that? Was everyone dead or...was the planet gone? Cold dread settled deep within her at the thought. Vegeta was gone. So many lives lost... had anyone made it off alive? Was there an evacuation, like there had been here? If so, where did they all go? What would happen to them now?
Yuumaru's words, as harsh as they may be, snapped her back to present. The time to grieve would be later. But now, now they needed to get off Kold and regroup. They needed to gather the surviving Saiyans and make a plan. Amaranth closed her eyes and sighed before turning to the General with a nod.
"There is a base in the Dark Court. I shall let my brother know before you arrive," she said. Amaranth turned back to Boliko. With a sigh, she ran the fingers of her unbloodied hand through her hair. She wanted to let him mourn, but now was not the time.
"I shall meet the three of you on the base once I have spoken to my brother," she said.

Nor. Yes, they would regroup at Nor. The king nods his approval of that sentiment, his eyes a distant haze. Snow stings his pupils and numbs the pain of his wounds and reinforces the numbness that was slowly replacing his sadness.
He didn't mean to reject Rixoir. He needed quiet, though, needed to enforce his own protection and find a way to comfort himself. He had self-soothed his whole life, and that wasn't about to change. He honestly wanted the comfort of Amaranth, too, but not in front of the others. It was one thing to show emotion and another to give into the weakness they presented, and Boliko would march on despite the relentless tugging at his heart.
It felt wrong. He should be heading back to Vegeta, Touketsuki's head in his hands, and to the thunderous applause of his peoples. Then they could finally, truly escalate from their position as a feared race in the galaxy to one that was realised as doing good, with Boliko's discipline in mind. The acts of monstrosity such as those caused by Rensou would slow as the veil of racism would lift slowly from the saiyan people's eyes...
His face creases up. He would give his own life for the resurrection of Vegeta, why did his people have to suffer for his battles?
And, below all of this, he knew one thing;
Someone would pay.
He gazes up at Amaranth, resisting every urge to just take her in his arms, and then looks to Rensou and Yuumaru. He opens his mouth, closes it again when he realises he has nothing to say. His ki spikes and he lifts off, his figure quickly vanishing in the building snowfall.

It wasn’t that he was trying to cut down the king, though he knew that logically speaking that’s what it looked like, rather he was trying to get him focused on the important things now. Then again he was tired right now, so that could be a factor to the filter being less capable of choosing the proper words for the situation. It didn’t matter though the words had been said he wasn’t going to take them back, because they’d also been true.
When the general stepped between them and ordered him to stand down, he saluted without saying a word, moving back to his original position. Though it seemed his words did at least ring a bit true, to even the Amaranth, which meant that it was possible his message got across. It seemed that the King would be taking a different approach to matters, but he couldn’t say anything, he’d respect Rensou’s decision about it. It was apparently better to let him mourn, but he supposed that didn’t mean the others couldn’t gather the missing Saiyans. Better to have a united force than a scattered one, and this time they’d be all kept close, Yuumaru would make sure to keep as many people close by him as he could.
They were left there on their own to which things seemed to go quiet, pushing up from the wall, he moved towards General Rensou. “General Rensou, my ship was damaged upon arrival, if it isn’t too much trouble might I have passage on your ship?” he figured it would be best to go formal for now. Things were likely tense, so until everyone had time to settle their nerves, he was sure the other were drained and tired themselves. The less extra stress there was, the better things would be all around. He didn't need three high-ranked members of the SSE alliance disgruntled or worse with him, that'd be asking for severe punishment. He was blunt, not stupid.
Standing next to the general he kept his composure, waiting for everything to be settled here before they would head to Nor. Hopefully, he’d be able to get some sleep and be less of a tactless asshole with his words when he woke up again.

Rensou smiled, his preventative measure a resounding success and his suggestion as well! The man sauntered away, lazily, casually –as if his planet were not wiped away and so much blood dripped from his fingertips in the figurative sense. The man lit another cigar, watching silently as Boliko moved away: into the skies and away from this awful hole, towards the splendid world of Nor. Rensou knew not that he would actually see him before then, but for now he resolved himself to depart and meet again with his brother on the aforementioned planet.
A hand waved Boliko away before he turned his attentions to Amaranth, offering her a grin and a salute. “Thank you, Princess,” he commented, his voice sincere and his gratitude true. Her hospitality would never be forgotten in this life nor the next! It was time to be rid of Kold and toward brighter and warmer climes, and the man turned to leave before he heard the footfalls of Yuumaru approaching. He turned, acknowledging him with a head tilted backwards, anticipating a stern talking to from Mori as the man had done to Boliko himself! Rensou admired his courage, but nay, Yuumaru had other matters to attend to.
Rensou nodded solemnly as Yuumaru explained his ship had been damaged in passage through space and during landing, and grinned. “As they are apt to do, Yuumaru. . .” So often the pods simply stopped working, poorly constructed things. Mori wished to accompany him to Nor within the walls of the Gladiator, and Rensou welcomed the company with a light laugh and another nod. “Aye! You know where she's at, neh?” Not far from here on the opposite end of this destroyed capital, and Rensou kicked away from the snowy ground beneath him and was gone in a cyan streak. He would not wait for Yuumaru, but the ship would be on and primed from Nor when he finally did reach the vessel~ [ PL Please.]

Amaranth watched Boliko fly away, emotion ripping through him. She ached to follow him, but she knew that right now was not the time. Amaranth sighed, turning to glance back at Rensou and Yuumaru. The solider had done good work, though he had acted more as a distraction than anything. Still, he made her kill that much quicker. She nodded to Rensou as he gave his thanks. There was really no need for it. Amaranth had made it clear that Saiyans would always have a home on Nor. Though she had never before imagined it'd end up being their refuge. She watched the two take off, leaving her alone in the bloodied snow.
She turned away, eyes finding the two bodies before her. C.haos, his head gone, spine laying next to him. Souka, his robotic body in pieces. Her gaze turned down out to the city stretched before her. The sky was slowly turning dark, reds, yellows, and purple painted across the horizon. It was so different from the last time she had visited Kold. Back then, the city had been awash in glittering white and blue snow, ice glittering and shining in the sky. Now, only smoke wafted up to the sky. Snow had started to fall as the four had spoken, but only now did she see the color. Amaranth put her hand out, catching the gray snow. Ash from the fires had mixed in, darkening the landscape. Without another word, Amaranth lifted off the ground, taking off toward her ship.
The greatest weapon anyone can use against us is our own mind. By preying on the doubts and uncertainties that already lurk there. Are we true to to ourselves? Or do we live for the expectations of others? And if we are open and honest, can we ever truly be loved? Can we find the courage to release our deepest secrets, or in the end are we all unknowable... even to ourselves.

Things seemed to have been resolved pretty readily now it was just a matter of getting to Nor to recuperate from what happened. Though he could contain his emotions effectively, he knew that the others were likely to need some time for themselves. In the meantime, he would need to work on something else and maybe create a plan for organizing the Saiyans on the other planets. The best thing right now was to create a more effective way for them to communicate with each other, to make sure there was more notice. They also had to come up with better system for detecting threat, he would have to try working with some of the scientists and others.
He was going to try his hardest to make it that much more difficult to attack the SSE like that again, they had to be better prepared. The other issue would be that he couldn’t just tag along like he had done this time, if he had been there maybe he could have offered a chance for things to change. It wasn’t likely but it was a possibility for them to have a better chance, at least civilians would have a chance to escape. That’s what he fought for as a soldier, for the empire, for its people.
When Rensou agreed to let him onboard he nodded, watching as the man lifted into the air, to streak towards the ship. Yuumaru looked around for a moment at the scene around him, then without hesitation lifted himself from the ground to move after the General. He had to move quickly to make sure that he would catch a ride to the planet of Nor. He wondered what type of world he would be seeing when they arrived, curious about the climates that it had. He’d been to three planets and each had had a different image, though he supposed Kold and Vegeta were similar in being wastelands, one was just frozen.
A new planet was waiting for him now. (PL please)
