Maguz staggered almost as soon as the punch landed and already blood was flowing. The child could take a shot if nothing else, and already he was back to moving around once more. A smile formed on Eric's lips as he jumped back to give the boy some breathing room, and then the ring blasted into the air and he called out that they could fly, Eric's eyes lit up.
Shifting and then jumped into the air, his wings opening wide and taking a deep breath as he did. The wind rushing across him made him feel alive, and now he was in his home territory. A smile formed on his lips as he looked to Maguz, seeing the cracks in his body made him curious, but for now he didn't much think about it.
Rolling once in the air to get some distance between his foe and himself, he started to charge ki in his hands, his eyes locking on Maguz and smirking. "Ever seen the stars fall during the day?" He asks, firing off several ki blasts from one of his main attack, and seeing what would the boy do as they closed in, unaware of the shield and return that would be soon following that Maguz was preparing.

The sexiest Kai in the universe was mightily impressed with his students. And was happy to have them there. In truth he was lonely, and though he acted eccentric and crazy, there was a hole in his heart. His last student, a Kai, had gone over to the dark side and became a Makioshin. He vowed to not let that happen to any of his other students. He was roused from his thoughts by the beautiful sight of his new bird spreading its majestic wings.
“I damn it that’s pretty.” [/b] He giggled a little, then coughed and cleared his throat, and flexed a little to make himself look manly again. The pair of his students seemed to be able combatants on the ground as well as in the air. How would they fair if the situations were different. With a raise of his arm, the ring turned from open air to a cube of water where Maguz and Ericnox would find themselves floating. They would be able to breath, but how would they react to suddenly finding themselves floating in a suspended cube of water. Floaties appeared around Jishin’s gigantic arms and a ducky tube appeared around his waist. He swan-dived into the cube.
Jishin had always been an interesting teacher, and a well-rounded one. He wanted his students to be able to react to any and all elements of a fight. He had already decided that he would teach the pair, even from the moment he met them. He could sense the need for a teacher in either of them, and he would do his best not to fail them.

To say Maguz was graceful in the air would be a lie. Though the Wizard normally would have no problems, after the hit he'd taken, it was clear to see he was having to fight to stay afloat. The additional gravity would not help either. He watched as the boy fired a barrage of blasts towards him, and readied himself, only to be caught off guard by Jishin once more.
Seemingly out of nowhere, a cube of water surrounded them. Water was no friend to the tired Wizard; having an extra set of arms made swimming nearly impossible. But as he scrambled to the top, all six limbs flailing ridiculously, he notice that he could breath. The water was normal water, but Jishin made sure neither would drown. A sly smile crossed Maguz's face as he leaned back in the water, crossing a set of arms behind his head, the other resting on his chest. Within the water he was weightless, and this helped him in more ways than one.
He spun himself to face Ericnox, only to watch Jishin dive into the water with the floaties and duck around his waist. The sight was to much to bare, causing bubbles to leave Maguz's mouth and ruse to the top like an explosion as he laughed. Something about a man as buff as Jishin that wore floaties got to the wizard.
It took a few seconds for Maguz to find the winged boy, but he did. As his laughter subsided, and his eyes set on his target, he tried his hand at telepathy, projecting hus voice into their heads, "How about a little hand-to-hand?" he asked Ericnox.
Water whirled around Maguz, as if her were trapped in a vortex; but this was not the case. His powerlevel exploded, and the lines on his body changed from cyan to a blood red. The pupils in his eyes vanished, and the whites redened. He felt pain as the muscles in his body exploded outwards, growing in size. Two times, three times, five times.
As the water subsided, he grinned, motion Ericnox to "bring it". He now rivaled Jishin's physic, only on a smaller scale, being only a third of the man's size. He had reached his Warrior form; a form he had never fully tested before.
To Maguz, the feeling this form had given him was far greater than the feeling of being a ruler. The feeling made him hungery for more power; however Maguz would not succumb to such a weakness. Taking a deep breath, Maguz smiled. Oh yes, perhaps training with this Kai actually could do Maguz some good.
(Wasn't sure exactly what order this would happen in, so I just came to figure that the sudden water would negate the blasts Ericnox fired.)

((Ehh, just roll with it. Not like this is life or death for once )) One moment he was in the air, and the next he was in something completely new to him... Underwater. He was of a race that flew, now swam, and now he was underwater and his wings had been soaked. His eyes went wide and panic of all things screamed though his body. While this might have been something common for these two, it couldn't have been worse for Eric. Screaming out underwater, his pushed his power out, trying to force the water away from him as he sunk down, not knowing how to swim. His eyes darted up and once he touched the bottom of the tank, he burst upwards, aiming to either shatter out of the ring, or get some place with air. He had not realized the Kai had made sure they wouldn't drown, but at this moment in time, he wasn't really concerned with the match, everything he had was screaming to get out of this mess and try to find a way to make things better for himself. When over the short lived telepathic communication that Maguz had use, fear of the water seemed forefront in his mind. He only wanted out of this. (Short, I'm sorry >< )

Ericnox was reacting poorly to the water. Jishin could see that as well as Maguz could. Jishin could feel the literal fear pouring off of him. This was something they would need to work on. Ericnox would need to be able to fight in water, a situation that would likely come up in his travels.
"You can breath silly bird!" [/b] Jishin called out in the water to the silly birdy. Maguz, on the other hand, seemed to be quite at home inside the water cube. And his transformation was impressive indeed. He and Ericnox were about equal in their current states.
He was incredibly impressed with his son's physic in this form. It nearly rivaled his own, bringing a small tear to the kais eye.
"Me, that's impressive. Son look at your bulging muscles!" [/b] Jishin swam up to him and began to poke at his body, completely ignoring the fact that he and Ericnox were in the middle of a fight.
"BIRD!!! Look at my sons muscles!" [/b]

Maguz had expected the fight to continue, but as he watched the birdman flail in the water, he soon realized that might not be the case. This idea was most verified as Jishin basically pounced on the small Wizard, "Me, that's impressive. Son look at your bulging muscles!" the Kai exclaimed, poking and proding the small Wizard. By the way he spoke, Maguz was beginning to notice he might have had a small god complex. He may have been a being of unrivaled power, but he still took orders from someone higher than him.
As Jishin shouted to Ericnox, Maguz shook his head, "For the last time, Kai," Maguz said, calmly and collected, taking a deep breath, "I AM NOT YOUR SON!"[/color] Everything else Maguz had tried had failed so far; so maybe he could get through to the Kai by catching him off guard.
It did bother him that he was being treated like a kid. He was over four hundred years old, very far away from being a kid. He should have been the one teaching, not the student. He felt as though he was being treated unequally; which was not the case (Jishin was treating the winged man just about the same), but until he could get it through to Jishin that he was not a boy, and he was to be taken seriously, it would be hard for him to accept the Kai as a teacher.

When Eric broke the surface, assuming there was one, Eric gasped for air. It felt as though this Kai, a dibine beinh of the universe was simply a man who acted almostly randomly, and to set things off, he didn't seem the kind of person who did any research on anything. The King said the Kais would study someone before making choices. His wings, no leadened by water, felt borderline useless. When he heard the "youth" scream out Eric was snapped back to reality.
"Alright Eric, this isn't home. The corruption isn't in this water, you aren't going to turn into one of them." He closed his eyes, trying to level out his breathing and focus. This wasn't his homeworld, he didn't need to fear the water at this point in time. But he wasn't going to sneak attack the changed youth, that would be dishonorable when he was otherwise engaged. Taking in a deep breath, he dove underwater and slowly pushed himself down to the level of the others.
Hoping the mental contact was there, Eric spoke to them, or at least Maguz. "Forgive me for that... Water was hold the corruption was spread across my world, finding myself in the middle of a lake was... Worrisome to say the least." he says in his mind, still hoping the mental connection was alive and well. If it wasn't then he would tell this when they could speak once more.
Shifting to a battle ready stance, it was still very clear he didn't like being underwater, and his fighting style reflected that simple fact. He was a being born for the air, to fly free and dance among the clouds, not to live under the waves and suffer without the wind upon his face.

The outburst was nothing like Jishin was expecting. His son had gone from fine to pissed-off in less time it took for Jishin to do a double take. Jishin frowned deeply the laugh lines around his mouth contorting, and the water cube fell away, then the ring, both vanishing as if they had never been there at all. He could sense the relief radiating from Ericnox, he clearly didn’t like being underwater, and was unaccustomed to it. It would be something Jishin needed to help him strengthen. They both had clear weaknesses that the Southern Kaioshin would help them with.
“You’re right Maguz… You’re not.” [/b] He stared at him for a long moment, then turned away walking away.
“It’s not me you’re mad at my son, It’s something else. I’m not sure what you’re so angry at. I will continue to treat you as a child until you’ve proved to me otherwise. I am a Kai. You don’t speak to me like that.” [/b]
He turned towards Ericnox. Jishin wasn’t quite as stupid as he made himself out to be, sure he was self-obsessed, he was enigmatic, and he was peculiar, but he put on a mask of stupidity to prep his students for those that just wouldn’t listen, for those that were stubborn. Plus he liked to have fun.
“And I am quite aware that you’re not a bird, angel.” [/b]
“You will have to tell me more about this corruption, though I feel I have much to talk to you both about.” [/b] Jishin looked at them both long and hard, as if staring into their very souls.
“Resume the battle.” [/b]

Maguz stared at Jishin as he spoke, bowing at the end. He was right. But it had been a long time sense Maguz had been around people, and even when he was, he was never this person. There was much more than anger built up deep within Maguz, and it was obvious that Jishin could tell. He quickly apologized to the two for his outburst, then faced Ericnox, reverting back to his base form. As his muscle shrank, and the red faded from his markings, he gave the two a smile.
"I am sorry, Ericnox, but that punch you gave me in the beginning has done a number on me." Slowly, Maguz floated to the ground, only to land on one knee, and let out a huff of exhaustion, "One of the most important things I have learned it to know when you are beaten, and you have beaten me." Maguz was in rough shape. It seemed like the bleeding had stopped, his race coagulated quickly, but the visible damage was still there.
The gravity had done more than Maguz had realized. As soon as the cube of water vanished, and he was faced with the harsh gravity, he knew it was the end. Taking a few breaths, Maguz sat down, rubbing his bruised torso and cracked back. This was the most fighting the Wizard had ever done. And he was proud of himself.
Looking back up to the two, Maguz smiled once more, "Not to be rude, or anything, but it has been 200 years... Any chance you have some food around here?"

When the cube dissolved and the Kai spoke, Eric did his best to not show excitement to feel air upon himself once more. Watching Maguz power down, Eric slowly lowered himself to the ground, watching him take a knee.
"I hope you will recover, and I take it the gravity is really getting to you. The world I was on was like this one. It shouldn't take you long to adjust. You don't seem to have thin bones like I do." He says, holding up the fist he used to punch him before, his knuckles bruised and somewhat swollen.
Slowly powering down, his feathers lose their color and return to the natural white color that they started with. "You have many interest abilities. Perhaps we can learn a lot from each other. It has been a pleasure sparring with you, with any luck, our possible teacher would be willing to take us both on."

With a flourish of his hands and an immense noise that sounded peculiarly like hundreds of different chefs cursing, a long table plastered with food, a veritable feast with foods from hundreds of different foods from hundreds of different cultures. Three large arm-chairs appeared by the table as well, plush and thick with comfort. A small man in a tuxedo appeared as well, he couldn’t have been more than two feet tall, Maguz even towering over him, and thin as a rail, a cloth draped over his arm. A large moustache graced his face, longer than he was tall, twisting in two distinct curls at the end.
“You come to a Kai planet and ask if there’s food?! Haha” [/b] Jishin put a large hand on Maguz’s shoulder, steering him towards one of the chairs, motioning for Ericnox to take the other free one. Jishin sat at the head, rubbing his hands and he looked over the glorious feast.
“Dig in both of you!” [/b] Jishin filled his plate with all sorts of different types of foods, watching as Ericnox and Maguz did the same.
“So I’ve decided to take you both on as students, that is if you both agree. Maguz, I’m still going to refer to you as my adopted son, I don’t know your real story but I’m probably going to find out over the course of our training together, and perhaps when you’ve revealed everything, maybe you won’t find the idea so atrocious. Ericnox, you’re going to be ‘Bird, Birdie, Angel, Angel-face, teen-angel, earth-angel,’ really any angel reference I can possibly think of. These conditions are not optional.” [/b]
The Southern Kai smiled a broad smile and dug into his plate, food flying everywhere as he wolfed down his meal. He felt happy for the first time in a long time. It was nice to have company.

"I hope you will recover, and I take it the gravity is really getting to you. The world I was on was like this one. It shouldn't take you long to adjust. You don't seem to have thin bones like I do." Ericnox told Maguz as he held up a purple set of knuckles. It seemed that he too had the same easily hurt body as the wizard.
Jishin seemed to be a little taken back by Maguz's question of food. He seemed to bellow in a strange language as a hyge table appeared, foods of all kinds appearing on the table. As a butler and chairs materialized as well, a smile appeared on Maguz face, and it didn't take much of Jishin's directing to get him to his seat.
He told the two to dig in, and Maguz did so hastefully; his plate towering over Jishin's. It was not that Maguz has that appetite of a Saiyan; he could go long periods of time without food, but after being without, his stomach pained him with emptiness.
As Maguz began to "dig in", Jishin spoke once more, telling the two he had accepted them as his students. Also adding a bit about nicknames. Though it bothered Maguz to be treated as a child by someone he was older than, he knew better. This man was a Kai. And this man wanted to not only train Maguz, but to become part of his family. That was something Maguz had never had.
It seemed like his life began with war. He was born into bloodshed, and adapted quickly. He knew nothing else his whole life. He used those weaker than him as stepping stones, and those stronger as tools. This was something he might choose to leave out of his history. It was the past. It was no longer him.
As Maguz choked down his food, he let out a light laugh, Jishin finishing his speech and devouring his food, "Well, I accept. I would like nothing more than for you to train me." There was much he could learn from the Kai, including magic. This was an offer he could not refuse. "But I must ask one thing..."
A sly grin slid over his face as he eyed Ericnox, then Jishin; only for himto finish, "Can I have my cloak back?". He hated the shorts. His body was not built like the others, and without his cloak he would chill easy. This would, in turn, lead to poor circulation, slow healing, and hardened bruising. If the outfits were somehow part of this training, he would accept that; but Jishin would have to accept that Maguz's cloak was returned after each session.

Eric was probably the odd man out when it came to eating his meal. He didn't pile anything on his plate, but took a tiny portion compared to the other two. His body didn't need hardly any food or water, which was nice in the long run. He rubbed his knuckles softly and chuckled.
"I can agree to the latter ones, but if we could skip 'Bird' and 'Birdie' I would be grateful. It's more of a respect thing. I'm not an animal after all. As I won't call you anything you considered deeming." He says, picking up some rice and starting to eat it. When Maguz asked about his cloak, Eric simply smirked. It was nice to hear such a simple request. He was happy to be back in his old armor, but he noted he still had the marking of the SSE upon his arm.
Setting the soon emptied bowl of rice down, he picked up a glass of water. "I do accept to be your student. If the Ancient King is an example... I have a long, long way to go before I can even dream of retaking my home world... At least if I am able to return to life that is. If I have to remain dead... Then I will move though this adventure one day at a time."
Eric's own life had been paradise compared to some, at least until his adult years with the war and everything else happening that caused so much pain and suffering. He relaxed as he drank down the water and looked over to everyone who was sitting at the table. Simply wondering what the Kaio had in store for them, and what he would pick up and retain for the rest of his life or unlife as it might be.

With a laugh and a wave Maguz’s cloak reappeared around his shoulders. Jishin smiled a wide grin. His students. His. They were his. It was an interesting and exciting thought, and one that filled Jishin fully with pride. He had had a few students before, but some of them hadn’t worked out and others had fallen into darkness. He hoped he would not fail these two. Though from their smiling faces he could see that they were as excited as he was.
“While you’re here, you will want for naught. Your hunger will be sated, your beds plush and comfortable. But your bodies will hurt. Your spirits will be tested. You will hate me, and you will love me. You will interact with things outside your comfort zone. You will bleed, and you will cry. But by the time you leave here. When all is said and done, you will be two amazing warriors, capable of defending the good in the galaxy.” [/b]
He sat down and finished his meal. The training would begin tomorrow, and visions of things he would do to the students, the trainings they would endure danced through his head. It made the Kai chuckle.

Everyone seemed pleased, and as Maguz's cloak reappeared wrapped around him, the familiar warmth already aiding in his circulation and healing, he too was comfortable. Jishin spoke with such kindness as he told the two he would care for them, but at the same time not go easy on them. Maguz could tell his time ahead would be filled with things more intense than he could ever imagine; and with each day that passed, he would learn more about the others, but more inportantly, himself.
With the same stupid smile on his face, Maguz raised a glass, holding to toast, "To the future!" he cheered, hoping the others would join in. If so, he would quickly down his drink, and retire to his room, where he would undergo his own training. After 200 years cooped up the last thing he wanted was sleep. And as the sun rose, he would be ready to face whatever lied ahead.
However, if his toast was not met, which seemed somewhat implausible due to Jishin's nature, he would down his drink, and drown his own embarrassment until he passed out at the table. That was his nature.
(I belive it may be time to end this thread and begin anew. I am not completely sure how this works, considering that this board only has the one thread, so please correct me if I am wrong. If this is the end, I am requesting PL.)
