Jorlaxl could get used to this.
Being part of Suki’s team had its benefits, that’s for sure. Not only does Jorlaxl now have access to his own room and therefore privacy (something he had to work for previously,) he now also had not just a sparring machine, but also a gravity chamber in which to practice with! This was just too good. Jorlaxl was fully prepared to use this machine as often as possible. He wanted to become more powerful than Caius, and as quickly as possible. He wants to be Suki’s favorite. After all, they are technically related.
Waking up early one morning, Jorlaxl went to the training room. Walking into the large room, he first started to fiddle with the gravity controls. After his fight with Suki, he believed that he should be ready for X10 gravity. Smirking as he turned the dial, he immediately started feeling the effects of the increased strain on his body. Testing himself, he started lifting his legs up and down, and tried swinging his arms, back and forth, back and forth. THIS WILL TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO. Jorlaxl thought to himself. Lying down on the ground, he started to try doing some sit-ups. Immediately he could feel the strain on his body, and yet he continued. After he got tired of that, he tried (tentatively) to fly.
Falling like a stone, he decided mentally to hold off on that until he could fight someone in the enhanced atmosphere. Cooling off, he walked over to the sparring machine, and set it to create a simulated adversary, taken randomly from his memory banks. A scanner appeared on the top of the machine, and Jorlaxl put it up to his eye, and the machine started to scan his mind. After a few moments, a figure appeared before him, and bowed. An option appeared on the screen to set the fighter’s power. After thinking for a moment, Jorlaxl set it to match his own. After a moment of calibration, the fighter buzzed once, and bowed again, as if to confirm his choice. Cautiously, Jorlaxl bowed, and suddenly, the fighter attacked!
Charging at the Bio-android, the fighter aimed a punch at both his head and his stomach. Jorlaxl matched the charge with a swift knee to the opponent’s stomach, and caught both punches with his hands. Pushing his opponent’s hands down, he cupped both of his own together and brought them down on his adversary, hard. The opponent took it full force, and then rolled away, collecting itself. Before it could counterattack, Jorlaxl shot magic missiles at him while running toward his enemy, directing a kick at his side, knocking him down. Some of the missiles landed, burrowing their way into the animated skin of the enemy. But the kick didn’t land, as the enemy again rolled out of the way and stood up, bringing a knee to Jorlaxl’s chin. The hit landed and Jorlaxl’s head exploded in pain. He saw red, and could tell that he was bleeding already, but he didn’t let it bother him too much. He isolated the pain, and within moments, it was just a dull throb.
Not done with the master who created him, the simulated enemy again charged at Jorlaxl, attempting to shoot a flurry of blows at his midsection. Jorlaxl saw this coming, however, and raised his arms in defense. One of the opponent’s arms reached too far, and Jorlaxl saw his chance. Grabbing it with both hands, he turned and threw his opponent over his shoulder. Landing on the flat of his back and the wind knocked out of him, the enemy simply laid there, waiting for his demise. Jorlaxl went down and punched him hard in the gut as hard and as fast as he could. Raising his opponent up in the air by his neck (which took some effort, due to the increased gravity,) he used his other hand and shot magic missiles into his head mercilessly. It was then that he finally got a good look at his adversary and saw that it was… himself?
Gasping and dropping his clone, he went back to the machine and checked who the machine selected for him to fight. His enemy hit the floor harmlessly and dissipated. The machine shone clearly and said, “Subject: Jorlaxl.”
It shone there in the dark. Sighing to himself, Jorlaxl left the training room, feeling relieved when he felt the gravity return to normal. He needed to take a long, hot shower. He sure needed it.
