Another night that i couldn't sleep on the bright side there was a full sky of stars and a full moon out. I'm Ryoga Sbatta and going to be a legendary spear fighter! Not much was seen around this boring forest but i can say that the sounds of wild animals crawling about made me a bit on edge.
It was almost daybreak and i haven't gotten much sleep. Maybe if i ever ran into a another village someone might let me stay the night. Pfft as if that would ever happen. No one's ever bothered to help me out since i've left! As the sunrises i notice birds flying away from something. Hmm what's that all about? I got up and ate part of my ham and cheese sandwich which i made myself before i left.
More animals fled that same area which made me even more curious.
Then suddenly i saw something i thought i'd never see, a horde of soldiers all human heading towards whatever was in that direction the animals were running from. I ran over and asked one of them what was going on. They said their was a demon that got loose and they are headed to vanquish it.
Now i was no fool when i heard "demon" and at that moment i decided to rush into the fray before they did. They were coming after me but i sealed the way by striking the ground with a thunder punch to make a split in the ground between me and them. The demon looked weak but strong enough to wipe out those guys that were about to take it on.
The demon looked dumb as well as weak to Ryoga but when it said it's name "Drum" it just sounded even stupider. Oh please! that's your name?! Drum mentioned the revival of a King Piccolo once he finds a way to open the gates of HFIL. Now Ryoga was pretty lost to all this but he did know that this didn't sound good.
Fight me! If you can defeat me i'll tell you how to open the gates!
Which was really just a ploy for drum to fight him. He had no intention of losing. Drum started by bouncing up into the air and trying to land on ryoga. Ryoga saw through the attack easily and landed a thunder punch that sent drum flying. Drum wasn't done yet as he bounced from a mountain and aimed for a double punch.
Ryoga wasn't as quick as last time but managed to land a intercepting Lightning kick into the ground. Now to end it! Storm combo! Ryoga used a kick to get him into the air and a punch to send him flying then intercepted many times with punches and kicks and ended with both a punch and kick to the ground. Drum was up again and Ryoga had nothing left, he found a stick that was lying on the ground beside him. With nothing left to do Ryoga charged at drum and formed a electric spear out of the stick which impaled drum, it was over for drum. Drum's final words were about not getting his revenge on that fat guy that ate him. Ryoga noticed the stick in his hand had burnt to a crisp and that was not surprising as he charged it with lightning energy.
Ryoga set off and told the soldiers not to worry as he defeated the demon. They were all surprised and some had to check but they were proud of Ryoga and took him to their village where he got to stay the night for free for his heroics. Well today was a good day although i wonder when i'll actually get to use a real spear? oh well at least i'm able to get some sleep for once.
