A cold wind rips through the stratosphere over the city of Ica. The chilling breeze floats quickly down into the city, shaking doors, and rattling windows as it blows by. The noticeable shaking of the window catches Aice’s attention, glancing out the window he stairs off into space. Alone he sits in a tiny room, up in a large metal building, towering in the Kold sky. The room is dark with only one light source coming from a dim bulb on the wall, which casts dark shadows across the room. Aice’s attention strayed down at the table in front of him, trying to understand the many symbols he saw. The table he sat at is more than anything a thin piece of metal with crooked legs; it has been in use for many of years. Marking have been scratched into over and over again, in many different aliens languages and signs, none of which Aice could understand.
With his attention locked at the strange symbols below him Aice hardly noticed that someone was now in the room with him.
“Hello there.” Said a voice.
Aice was startled at the sound of the new voice, jumping a little in his chair. Quickly turning to his left, he saw a creature standing next to the now open door. This creature was unknown to Aice, and puzzlement filled his mind.
“My name is Jak’al and I will be over seeing your training for your enrollment into Lord Touketsuki force.” Explained Jak’al.
Standing about 4’5” Jak’al was a fit creature. Large in comparison to Aice, with a fine toned body, and a look of cleverness in his pale blue eyes. His skin was a tint of green, which Aice had not yet seen before. On each hand he had 5 fingers each one ending in with a sharp claw, obviously used for fighting. Jak’al wore a thin yellow shirt with a white band at his waist, a belt of sorts, which contained strange piece of dark metal. Below his waist he bore black pants, they were cover in a thin metaling plating, which shinned with the light from the door way. On his feet was a pair of brown military looking boots, grim and dirt lined the sides, they had been used for quite a while. Aice looked back up at the Jak’al’s face still in puzzlement of what this being was. A short snout prodded out from his face, moving slightly with each breath he took. A normal mouth as comparisons go, with small gleaming blue eyes jutting out from the upper part of his face. No visible hair could be seen growing from the creature head, but a short patch of it could be seen on Jak’al’s chin, looking to be a soul patch.
Noticeably Jak’al was aware that Aice had been staring at him for quite some time, growing a little un- easy he spoke again to him.
“Im guessing you have never seen my type of race before have you?” Jak’al asked
In a quick response Aice shook his head side to side, as a sign of no.
“Ah that’s quite alright you see, I am a Geritl, not to unusual to see my species roaming around in these parts. Just next time you see one I would recommend not staring so intently at them, many of us have short tempers and don’t like to be look at for very long. “
Aice looks intently at Jak’al and nods his head at him.
“Ah very well then are you ready for your first training?” Jak’al asks, as he waves his arm out the door.
Aice hopped down from the desk he was sitting at and beings to make his way to the door. Shadows shift in the room as his makes his way to Jak’al, casting Aice’s shadowy figure across the room. As Aice exits the room into the bright light of the hallway, his shadow fades from the room. Jak’al turns around and beings to exit the room, with one last glace behind him at the table, he slowly closes the door behind him.
Later at a Ica battle training facility…
A small dome building made of a thin metal substance sits in the ground in front of Aice, and Jak’al. No visible windows can be seen from the front of the building and there is only one set of doors. Aice hesitates walking forward towards the building, not sure of what lies behind its metal walls. Jak’al notices the slight hesitation and pats Aice on the shoulder, giving him a little shove forward. They began their short walk to the main door of the building. As Aice gets closer he notices that the material of the building seems to change based on distance. Before it was a shiny dense looking metal, now it has changed to a clear glass like substance. This allows him to look inside the building for the first time getting a glance of what was going on inside. Many of different creatures fighting, running, jumping and even flying in the room, there was not one corner of Aice’s visible view where something was not happening.
Entering through the doors of the building Aice could feel the adrenaline beginning to flow though his blood, as the noises and the smells of the room filled his senses. Jak’al looked down at Aice opening his mouth to talk, “All these men and women in here were once like you” Jak’al gazed across the room, “but after many days, months and even years of training they have become strong in both their bodies and their minds. Everyone has to start from some point, and from that point forward they begin their journey of life. Would you like to start your long journey life here?” Jak’la asked looking down at Aice.
Aice looked at the all the creatures and then glanced up at Jak’al with a smile on his face.” Let’s start the journey.” said Aice.
Jak’al leads Aice down a small corridor heading towards the back of the building. From the inside the facility was much large than it looked from the outside, being that most it was built underground. Walking down the hallway they pass many of rooms in which Aice can hear others fighting, some rooms are quite but others not so much. Jak’al finally stops at a door no different than the others, Aice following behind him slowly stop next to him. Jak’al leans forward and opens the door with his hands reviling the room to Aice. It was a normal white room to say the least, with a cold glassy looking floor and a roof to match. Aice walked inside the room to get a better look at around; being that his skin was so white he almost blended in with the rest of the room. After he had taken a few seconds he turned back to Jak’al waiting for him. Jak’al stepped forward, with the door closing behind him. Moving to the center of the room he turned to face Aice.
“Now that we have finally gotten here, I want to spar with you Aice. Nothing too hard, we don’t want to stress you, now at least. I just wish to see what you can do and how well you can do it.” Jak’al explained
Thinking for a few seconds, Aice looks at Jak’al and says “Very well, but I must warn you, if you do chose to strike me your more than likely to break my bones.”
“I am well aware of what your race is capable of, but this shouldn’t be an issue, it’s just a spar.” replied Jak’al “Now if you kindly, I would much like to begin this fight.”
Aice nods his head “Very well Jak’al.”
Jak’al slides his left foot backwards, and swings his right arm forward giving himself a large fighting stance. With his other arm he slides his elbow behind his back, and keeps his right foot forward. The whole time Jak’al keeps his eyes locked onto Aice, looking for any signs of movement. Aice, being that he’s never been in a fight has no concept of stances, but however Aice does know how to control his Ki, and very well. A grey aura begins to envelope around Aice, as he beings to channel his Ki. He can feeling the energy beginning to surge throughout the room, almost as it was coming alive. Finally he built up enough Ki to release his first attack. Aice jumps into the air, Ki flowing through his veins his eyes being to glow white. Raising his hands next to ribs he shouts out, “Takol's ghost!” Energy forms in the palms of Aice’s hands, and he strikes out with a barrage of energy blasts. Repeatedly blasting towards Jak’al, the blasts fly forward at an amazing speed smashing into Jak’al. Hit after hit the blasts slam into him, creating large clouds of smoke with each hit. Aice falls back to the ground after one last blast, breathing heavily as he does so. The room has now filled with dark clouds of smoke, Aice feels as though he did some damage to Jak’al. Looking through the smoke Jak’al’s outline can be seen in the smoke cloud. As the room clears, Jak’al remains in the same spot unharmed and unmoved. Aice staggers backwards in shock a few inches, not believing what he has just seen.
“But that should have at least done something to you!” exclaimed Aice
Jak’al smiled at Aice and says,”All in due time it shall, but for now you have a long way to go before you’ll make a scratch on me Aice.”
Feeling sadden that a powerful Ki attack like that had done nothing to Jak’al, comes up with a thought.“Well if you want that’s not everything that I have, I still have a Ki blast that should knock you on your back.” Said Aice
Jak’al looked at Aice “Really, so you were holding back on me? Give me everything thing that you’ve got!” Shouted Jak’la
As soon as Jak’la commands for it, Aice steps one foot backwards and places his hands together in a cup shape. Placing his arms in front of him he shouts out, “Ria-t-shi…..RAGE!”Aice’s eyes go white and a large beam blasts forth from his hands flying towards Jak’la. The light it emits is so bright it causes Jak’la to close his eye shut. The force of the blast sends Aice flying backwards into a nearby wall, followed by a cracking sound. The beam slams into Jak’la hitting him head on; with first contact the beam explodes filling the room with smoke. Pieces of the ceiling crack and fall apart, which fall and strike the ground. The dust settles, showing the room is now filled with rubble, and smoke. Jak’la still standing in the same spot but his clothes now remain ripped and torn barely hanging from him. His hands remain as a cross in front of his body, which protected him from the blast. He opens his eyes to see the room around him as it is, ruined and burned.
“Quite a kick for such a little guy” Jak’al said looking around the room. He notices Aice lying on the floor across the room, lying against the wall. Jak’al slowly walks across the room and over the rubble to him. His eyes remain closed as he is lying there on the floor, slow and steady breathe flow from his nose. A slight trickle of blood runs from the side of his ribs, forming a small blue puddle next to him. Standing over him he looks down at the young alien, when a smile appears from the corner of Jak’la’s mouth,” One day you’re going to grow to be a very powerful man, and when that day comes I’ll be ready for a rematch.” Jak’la leans down and slowly picks Aice up in his arms, cradling him, Jak’la walks out the door, leaving the smoking room behind him.
