All was calm as usual, the monk had thought. The stream that leads down the side of the curiously shaped mountains was flowing with a lot of more power today, but that was good-they where getting more drinking water. You see, this mountainside made up the entirety of the island it rests on, and curves inward giving the island a crescent look from the skies. It curves like a bowl around a large basin of water, called the Poyo Lake by the monks that live on these mountains, and has a small opening in which boats and ocean water may enter. However, the mountain raises to a very high, very sharp point, and all of the monks live in a spiral around said point. There is a beach on this island, the sand was there when the island was founded by needed to be extended by human hand, so it was partially man-made. But none the less, today, this monk thought it was going to be a good day. He enjoyed good days on the island. They meant that his masters, priests, and fellow monk brethren where all in high spirits, which usually lead to a party or a festivity. It got awful boring here, it did-not that he would ever say that to his elder's face. Stepping outside, he took a deep breath-and then his heart skipped a beat.
Something was falling from the sky. It was glowing, so he guessed it was pretty hot, but it was moving so fast. If that thing hits the monk's home, the entire monk society on the mountain would be destroyed! He called out to the elder next door to his small shack-like home, but figured out that everyone else was also looking at the thing, perplexed. What was that? He thought "was", because it(thankfully, for him) landed on the shore of Poyo Lake, and no where near the monk village. But pretty soon, the monks where rallying to go and check out the new thing-including our very own curious monk. With a prayer and a good-luck charm, they started down the mountain. It would take anyone a good hour to get up or down this mountain, but the monks lived here-they could scale it in half an hour. But was that enough time? Would the thing be gone by then? Well, they would have to find out. And pretty soon they did, having stepped off of the final stone step leading to their little living spaces. The thing was rather small actually-looked like it could hold a small child or an animal inside-and it looked like it was carved out of a really dark, brown rock. Did it just pulsate? Probably, for all the monk knew-he had never seen such a thing, and neither had his companions.
WAIT! Now he got it! This is some kind of message, from their god! He was giving them this stone as a token of....well he didn't know. But it looked really good, he figured. It had a window attached to it and a big, bold "M" written in a wavy letter on the front. It was a door! Whatever the god was trying to send them, it was inside this thing! Perhaps...it was the god himself! They must get it open at once! But alas, the alien thing was incredibly hot a burned their hands. But, after some time, steam(or smoke, it wasn't possible to tell the difference) rose from the creases of the door's latching. And then, it moved. For real this time, it rocked back and forth. First, a bright pink fist popped out of the window, shattering the glass and startling the monks into taking a step back. It slowly retracted, and then a leg jut out and mashed the door clean off! It flew hundreds of yards away, landing with a loud THUMP that sent a large "sand explosion" outward from it's new position. As soon as this was done, the steam got thicker, and a shadow appeared inside of it. It did not look like a god. Not at all, but he guessed beggars can't be-. This is the end of our progression with mister monk, for he no longer has a story. The unlucky one was the closest to Meishi's location, and when the Majin decided it was a good time to release his power, sent the spacecraft unintentionally out toward the monk, crushing and bringing him to his death. The other monks start running away at that point.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAA!"
Meishi's mouth was extended incredibly long, his elbows pulled to his sides and his hands groping outward. His evil laugh was completely out of character for this mute Majin, who only usually speaks in clicks and grunts. Maniacally, he launched small orbs of Ki completely at random towards the scurrying monks. It was impossible to tell whether or not he actually hit his target, because they where shrouded in a sand explosion whenever an orb seemed to lightly come into contact with the area around the monks, but he did get a few of them. The rest rushed up the mountain. Meishi cracked his neck quite a few times, and then crossed his arms, raising into the air. He yawned, and surveyed the island. Huh, what an interesting shape, he registered, and then descended back down to the earth. Snickering, he leaned against an out-of-place palm tree. No, if the palmtree was more out of place than this Majin, then Earth had a large problem. But nonetheless, Meishi waited. He knew someone would show up soon, he just felt it. He couldn't detect where they where, who they are, or how powerful they may be, but he knew someone was coming. And soon.
