Jorlaxl enjoyed his new tail. He really, really liked it. He already felt attached to it, and could tell it was going to be a great relationship between the two. He felt it on the small of his back, concealed easily by retracting back inside his body. He didn't like displaying it publicly. It was to be a secret weapon. He doesn't want to broadcast his life-draining prowess, would he? No, not at all, that would be too easy to avoid if his tail was open for all to see. Of course he could easily regenerate it, but still, it would feel like losing a friend. And Jorlaxl didn't ever want to experience that feeling.
Flying above the ground, he quickly made progress back to Suki's ship, located in Saru city. As he progressed farther and farther away from the scorched plains, he realized just how far he had taken Endive, and how far away from civilization the fights really took place from. Good thing, too, or else everyone in the city would most likely be dead by now. And Jorlaxl hated unnecessary killings. Although one would say his recent killings of the patrons of the noodle shop would be wanton slaughter, he'd justify it by saying that the end justifies the means. He needed money, and now he has it.
Spying a bank with his little eye, he decided that it was time to fight more powerful saiyans, or "monkeys" as Suki would call them. Jorlaxl assumed it was the tail. Absentmindedly, he wondered to himself how a 100 human martial artists would fare against 10 saiyan civilians. He put that notion in the back of his mind, because it was an interesting prospect. But now wasn't the time to deal with the hypothetical thoughts of a philosopher. Now was the time to kill innocents and steal the plunder within.
Descending down into the bank below, the saiyan guard immediately stopped him. Two more guards were beside him, for what Jorlaxl assumed was backup. Pathetic monkeys. If they were more civilized, they wouldn't need so many guards defending the very entrance to the bank. Annoyed, Jorlaxl said, quietly: "Let me pass." He said it calmly, and apparently that threatened the guards, who seemed to be used to dealing with rampaging saiyans who were too big for their britches.
They didn't see any weapons on him, so they opened up the door without any fuss, allowing him to enter. Silently, he nodded and walked slowly into the large bank. Upon entering, he immediately noticed the solid gold archways connecting the support beams together, creating a solid column of pure gold that would hold up the building with relative ease. The next thing he became aware of was the armed guards at every exit, making escape through them very hard to go unnoticed. And finally, and perhaps the most important to him right now, was the safe at the far end of the wall, guarded by no more than 10 guards, armed with guns.
Smiling to himself, Jorlaxl casually walked over to the ill-fortuned receptionist who was working the counter. She was one of 4 other ones, who were each spread out across the large desk that separated the civilians from the safe and the guards on the other side. Smiling his charismatic smile, Jorlaxl said: I'm here to make a withdrawal. I need all of the money in this bank. Would you be willing to do such a thing for me?" As he was talking, Jorlaxl focused the ki in his body, and released it calmly into the woman's head, clouding her thoughts.
"The money... Yes, it's in- Wait, no..." She was whispering, calmly starting to deny the effects. This was expected, this was his first try attempting such a mind trick. Frowning slightly for a millisecond, Jorlaxl quickly smoothed out his face, putting back the salesman-type smile, and he tried again, gentler this time: "You know, working here must be so boring... Wouldn't your job be so much easier if you didn't have any money to worry about?" This seemed to work better.
"Yes... My job would be so much easier..." Jorlaxl genuinely grinned, and decided to press forward, and go deeper. He needed this money, and more importantly in the long run, he needed to figure out how to make this technique work, and work well.
"Please, just give me all of the money, it'll be so easy. Actually, lend me the bank's credit logs, so I can make them slowly disappear. It'll be so simple, and it'll make both of us really happy." His voice was music to her ears, and with the ki energy's help, it seemed to ring all the right bells.
"Yes, that's perfect! Here, hold on one second!" She snapped out of the confusion she was in, and disappeared into the offices within the bank, leaving Jorlaxl on hold. He glanced casually on both sides, seeing no overt attention on him. Good... His plan was working magnificently!
After a few brief moments, the young saiyan woman reappeared, giving Jorlaxl a few slips of paper. Puzzled, Jorlaxl reviewed them quickly, and saw that they were the lists of the next few incoming business transactions from the bank.
"These were all I had access to. These will give you some funds, but they will eventually run dry, so use the money you gain from this carefully, alright? Have a nice day!" With that, she started to attend to other customers.
Still a tad puzzled that the Saiyman No Jutsu worked at all, Jorlaxl walked out of the bank, holding his head. These complicated money scams were too much for him to handle. All that he knew, though, was that he made out with a new technique, and some more money. Excellent.
