Flying at a pace that he could only have attained through intense training, Kotan released a holler as he flew. The last few months had increased his power, strength and speed to levels that he had previously been unable to fathom. He'd actually multiplied his normal power by a level of sixteen, and slightly over that. But, his cockiness had grown in duality with his power. And he had already suffered the consequences of this before, almost dying due to his darn cockiness and the fact he had misguidedly believed himself to be invulnerable.
His fight with the blonde haired man had caused him to re-evaluate his cockiness, and become more humble and slightly afraid to fight someone with an extraordinary power level compared to his. Landing in the wastelands, he surveyed the area and quickly analysed it. It was as quiet and empty as always. In fact, it was more quiet then usual. But, he did not let the intense silence get to him.
Due to his power level having increased to a level that was close to ten thousand, Kotan had decided to train himself in two new techniques. One would be a combination of the Fire Wave, and the Kaio-Ken technique, making the Kaio-Ken Fire Wave x3. The other would be the Barrier, as his father had taught him the fundamentals of it. He wanted to advance these two attacks into more powerful variants, making him more powerful.
The Kaio-Ken Fire Wave would be easy to learn. The barrier technique, however, might take a while longer. Flying up onto a large rock, Kotan set his sites on a large rock, twenty feet away from him. Cupping his hands together, he said “Kaio-Ken Fire.....” A large fire shaded ball formed in his hands, and then his body went into the Kaio-Ken, his body turning entirely red and he gained a red aura, and his power trebled. “WAVE!”
Kotan threw his attack towards the rock formation, destroying it completely due to the sheer power of his Kaio-Ken enhanced Fire Wave. When he completed his attack, his power came out of the Kaio-Ken, but the sheer amount of energy into the Fire Wave had exhausted him. But, just as his power began to replenish itself, Kotan sensed a giant power level flying towards him. It was seven hundred above his, and he had a feeling it was related to the Atrocity. Turning, he powered up to his fullest without supplementing his power with the Kaio-Ken.
A demon crashed down in front of him, and it snarled at him. “My son and grandson were killed by you.... We demons have long life spans, and hold grudges for ages. You die tonight Saiyan!” Kotan laughed at the demon, and as it flew towards him, the half saiyan tensed his legs, and jumped off the rock formation he was standing on, dodging the rushing demon. Turning, he fired several ki blasts at the demon.
The scaly freak that was the grandfather of the Atrocity deflected all three Ki waves. “I'm not going to hold back at all. I may be old, and only have access to one form, but its powerful!” The demon's muscles began to swell up, and it grew to be as tall as seven feet. “Oh my god! Its power just reached a level of thirty thousand. I can't compete with that for long in Kaio-Ken, due to the degenerative effects of my Kaio-Ken. Its worth a shot though.”
The demon rushed at Kotan. Apparently, it hadn't lost speed or stamina for strength and raw power. Quickly activating the Kaio-Ken, Kotan punched the demon in the stomach. His power had momentarily trebled, but he couldn't keep it up for long. Laying several punches into the demon, he actually managed to wind it. Back flipping away from the demon, Kotan;s Kaio-Ken wore off, and the demon took this opportunity to attack Kotan. Rushing towards him, demon began to beat Kotan with punches, kicks and head butts. Kotan gasped as the demon beat him around, and then threw him into a rock formation.
The saiyan landed on the rock formation, gasping as he crashed into it. “Time to die!” The demon raised his hands, and a large ball of energy began to grow in between the demons hands. “No...It can't end like this.... I WON'T LET IT END THIS WAY!” Kotan's anger allowed him to explode his Ki out from around him, creating a spherical shield. The demon just laughed and fired the blast Kotan. It would be powerful enough to destroy a normal barrier. However, Kotan focused, and the Kaio-Ken came forth again, strengthening the barrier.
The ball hit the barrier, and exploded on contact. Grinning, Kotan saw his enemy was exhausted. Cupping his hands by his sides, he kept his Kaio-Ken form going, and cupped his hands by his sides. “Kaio-Ken Fire.....WAVE!” Having charged it for thirty seconds, Kotan threw it forward, and it flew towards the demon. The grandfather of the Atrocity had been paralysed, due to the fact that using its energy ball had caused its energy stocks to be degenerated to such an extent that it locked in place. The Kaio-Ken enhanced Fire Wave had hit the demon, and utterly destroyed it, due to the intense power, and intense heat. Smiling a bit, Kotan powered down to his normal state. Focusing, he created a barrier again, and he grinned. His barrier ability was still here, due to the fact he had not needed to get angry to create another one.
