{Part of Virion's subplot. Read here for more information: wodresurrection.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=paozu&action=display&thread=1955&page=1 } Zach’s journey continued as he flew over the milling crowds of people bellow, all headed in on direction. The roads beneath were choked with vehicles, hover cars were practically racing the young man and even a sky-going cruise liner was en route to what ever destination lay ahead. Zach was beginning to fee a bit uneasy as he contemplated what all of this could mean. Obviously all of these people were being influenced somehow, but by what? Why wasn’t he affected? Would he be affected when he closed in on their destination. And most important, how could his put an end to their bizarre behavior. As the blonde continued to cruise over the suburbs, the terrain was starting to look familiar. Then at once he knew where these people were heading, Satan City. He’d been there before, it was where he’d had his showdown with Suki and currently one of the largest population centers on the planet after the destruction of Central City. What ever this plague of the mind was though hadn’t apparently reached the city and it was clear the military had been called in to keep it that way. The urban center was ringed with police and military blockades in a effort to maintain a quarantine of the area. Still the strangely behaving masses continued to encroach on the city leaving Zach with little time before people started getting hurt. “Great, now what am I going to do?” the teen asked himself aloud and started to climb a bit higher into the sky. There was still no sign of what might be drawing the masses to the city, other then the city it’s self and Zach couldn’t exactly remove that. Nor could he turn around and just start beating up the people approaching the metropolis. They likely didn’t know what they were doing especially considering their unusually bulky appearance. Something had effected them mentally and physically and he couldn’t morally justify harming them unless they attacked him first. If the army opened fire on them though he would have to knock them out for their own good though, but even with his speed, it would take hours, he could never hope to contain the masses alone.

Toshio stood on the outskirts of Satin city on a high mountain that overlooked the city, his arms folded across his chest and his eyes looking down into the city. Toshio had been a very busy man today. He had gotten reports of a vampire type disease spreading across the area and infecting multiple civilians…he had even gotten reports of some of his own student’s being infected…The school was on tight lockdown and he and several student’s formed off into squads to try and secure information on the surrounding area. Suddenly, a voice could be heard in Toshio’s left ear. Toshio put two fingers to the ear and started to listen.
”Sir, Victory Squad Leader here. The Eastern side of Satin city has visual of a mass group of civilians heading this way. They seem to be non-hostile as of now, but we can see that their not normal civilians. Sir, I think they’re starting to mobilize now.”
Toshio shook his head and then spoke.
”Very well Rhin. Keep your eyes on that mass, and try to keep them from entering the city…Try to avoid using brute force. Remember, these civilians were once our friends and family. Keep in touch with the other squads. Contact is key in this situation. Toshio out.”
His fingers started to come off the earpiece but some more static caused him to return his fingers to their position as another voice came in.
”Sir, Struggle Squad Leader here. We too have a massive group of infected civilians heading this way. It seems that they’re all collaborating or something and making their way to this city. Sir, this could get out of hand. Also Sir, we caught glimpse of a former student headed into the city. He should be almost in your area its Zach Sir. Mind I suggest filling him in on the situation if he doesn’t already know. His help would greatly be appreciated. We’ll continue to hold the western side. We’ll do our best to keep from using brute force, but it might be a little hard, especially if they’re all coming for Satin City. Their not coming for a leisurely stroll that’s for sure. Squad Leader out.”
Toshio took a moment before responding to the leader.
"Copy that Josh. You do your best out there; I’ll meet up with Zach and inform him of the situation. This is a message to all squads, everybody keep your guard up. Remember, we are securing and helping out this city’s military and police force. These are our friends and family, this city is our second home. We will not loose this city, we will not lose any more friends and family and we WILL prevail in all aspects. Toshio out.”
Toshio eyes then spotted Zach flying through the sky, Toshio’s feet lifted off the ground and took off in pursuit of the blonde wonder. Eventually catching up to him and stopping in front of him Toshio smiled as he started to address Zach.
”Ah Mr.Zach. It’s a pleasure to see you again. I would offer you something to drink and talk about other things but now is not the not. If you have or haven’t noticed this city is under heavy guard. Along with the police and military, my student’s are offering to protect this city. I’ll relay what I know. Reports came in of multiple towns and villiages just going... 'dead', communications, trade, visitors, all cut out without explanation. It appears as though the people had all been affected by some sort of contagion... but it's strange. No doubt you've felt it too by now Their energy has changed, something is off about these people... and now they've begun sweeping across the East District. About an hour ago, all reports entitled that they ceased their attack and turned their attention toward this way. As of five minutes ago, their target appears to be this city. While there are still many unanswered questions such as who did this and why, we do think that this city is being targeted because of its massive population. Now that your up-to-date, do you think you could lead us a Hand? The more people helping protect the city the better.”
After finishing his debriefing to Zach, he took a long breath and sighed before speaking yet again to Zach.
”You know that the civilians are family and friends of people here…I’ve told my squads and even the military higher ups that we should not use brute force until provoked otherwise….Zach some of my student’s have not reported in from nearby villages and I fear that they too have been changed…I fear that this may come down to force and I would have to….we would have to execute force upon those dear to us. But…I always believe there are multiple options available in any situation. I don't know exactly what's causing this, or why they've suddenly started attacking... But it just seems so deliberately orchestrated. These people are effected by this mysterious infection, and just happen to all start heading towards Satan City like this soon after? I get the feeling there's something more to this, and if we can find out what we might just be able to stop it in time. I don’t know if you have any people you know of that are involved in this, but I do, and I would ask you, as my friend, that you help me end this. Help me end the suffering of not only the people infected but of their families as well.”
After speaking once more, Toshio looked into the eyes of Zach and waited for him to speak on the matter. He only hoped that he would offer his assistance and help end this crisis, for if they lost and the city were to be overrun…it would be awfully hard to keep them from hitting Toshio’s school…he didn’t want that to happen. They had to win, for the people in this city and for his student’s and people at his school. This may have started around Satin City, but this was going to end in Satin City….hopefully.

It seemed as of late everywhere Yoko went something was happening. She began to grow weary in travels and was glad to be near what she called home. Even though she had no real home here this was the place where she met her first friend. She had no idea if he even truly trusted her anymore after their last meeting with the evil Satin. That however was another story, today was a new day. Still Yoko was no where near ready to see, let alone speak to Toshio. She didn't want to confront him. In her thoughts she felt like everything she did was for the bettering of herself. Yet it did nothing but hinder Toshio. How could someone stay friend with a person who was only about self improvement. Laying on the Back of her pet tiger Toshio Yoko laid face up looking at the wondrous sky, things didn't feel right here she thought to herself. as she sat up and looked around. People were running wild, was this some kind of fun day? No it can't be a fun day would not set people off like this. With that thought her eyes widened as she felt two power levels close by. RAWR GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"Oh you sense it to huh Toshi?....... It'sToshi It then hit her one of the power levels she felt was Toshio, this can't be what are the chances she just returned to the city with her new friend and she crosses paths with one person she didn't want to meet. "Toshio, let's get out oh here now!" Toshio the oversized tiger growled again as he looked up in the sky seeing the two people chatting. "NO Toshi!" Yoko yelled as he took of running toward the two. As the rushing tiger closed in on the two warriors Yoko noticed the other power level. Her hands started to shake and her face turned red. Hoping that they would not notice her she plowed her face into Toshio fur. "OH MY GOSH!!" What is the odds of this the super cute guy and Toshio in the same place? wait if they are in the same place then.....They know each other. How did I not know this before? "GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"Toshio Stopped just under the two warrior and called for their attention with a loud growl. Yoko who could not believe that any of this was really happening right then kept her face plugged into the tigers fur like they both were one being. Well it had been a while since the last time either of the boys had seen her and her style had changed. She had hopped that would throw them off. Her head still facing downward she patted Toshio on the head and said, Stay here, I'll be right back" With that she hovered up to the other two warriors with her hand in her pocket. As she leveled out with them it was easy to see her new style. Her black leather boots that now fit her perfectly stopped just above her ankles. She wore bandage wrap over laying her ankles and stopping just below her thighs. Her pants were blue and baggy but comfortable. The cargo pants tucked up and into the bandages seemed to be a good fit for her. On her upper body she wore a Green tank top, she felt it gave her better movement when it came to attacks with the hands. On her arms were two red arm warms that flowed up to about her elbows. These to an untrained eye would be nothing more than a fashion statement but in fact the were made for weight training. Unlucky for her she had yet to buy any type of weights what so ever. Around her neck was the give away, her iconic black cross that rested around her neck. Her blue natural thick bangs were accompanied by her long flowing black silky hair that rest just above her shoulders. Yoko's eye were closed as she bite her bottom lip waiting on of them to speak to her. She was ready to hear Toshio tell her to get lost and for Zach to pretty much act as if she was not there. Whatever happened she had already prepared herself for the worst cause scenario. Shut your faces it's a crappy post I'll make it up to you both later!

The hoard of infected was slowly growing, hover cars and airships touching down on the hills and cliff edges a small way outside the city bounds, the infected stepping out to stare over towards Satan City with their disconcerting pink-coloured eyes.
For now at least they held back, perhaps waiting for more of their brethren to join them. Regardless of weather or not it was the reason, their numbers still kept growing as more and more arrived. While initially concentrated on the South-Eastern side of the city only, the group had slowly begun spread across, coming now to nearly encircle the city boundary, though still concentrated most heavily to the south as new infected streamed in to join the group.
While those that had taken to the air had arrived first in great droves, those on the ground had swept through the towns and villages in their path like a plague. While military forces concentrated on maintaining the bordering quarantine line, local authorities of the towns unlucky enough to be within the zone were quickly overwhelmed. Doggedly the infected would pursue any people they came into contact with, leaving them with multiple bite wounds. The strangest thing however was that after having bitten a victim, they (and all those around them) would completely lose interest in their target.
The victim would be left nursing their bite wound numbly, apparently an effect of the injury, their metabolic processes would slow to a crawl. They would be rendered highly drowsy, many falling asleep on the spot. After a while they would awaken, well and healthy, no sign of suffering the same fate as those that had bitten them, and no other ill effects from the bite injury. Infact, the wound would heal quickly, other than a lingering bruise in the area which would spread slightly along the nearby veins or arteries. It would not be for a few weeks or so that their symptoms would finally begin to manifest proper.
(While direct infection from Virion himself would result in a quick transformation, merely being bitten causes the process to take much longer, due to the concentration of Virion's mutagenic bio-essence being so small from second-hand sources)
"Ahhhh.., the tension is almost palpable" Croaked an unctuous voice. It's owner stood now among the mass of infected, at a distance blending in with their numbers. The more infected that came, the more thick and smothering their twisted aura that resonated from them became. The solitary figure was only differentiated by his lack of such an aura, his energy one of the only ones to be suppressed among this crowd.
The figure was covered in the loose-fitting folds of a cloak, which obscured any defining characteristics or form, though the odd contours hinted at perhaps a twisted form. He looked now, not with his eyes but with his mind, at a group of figures standing up ahead at the City boarder, martial artists who had joined with the local law enforcement. Probing the neural network formed between this hoard of infected, the cloaked figure was able to identify the group. Members of the Victory School...
He turned now, looking towards the three people which stood by his side. The two men and one woman sported the fangs and irises of any other infected, but unlike those around them, their natural ki was much more pronounced. They had been the first to arrive upon his beckoning, flying swiftly with their own energy rather than relying on transport. All three were wearing martial arts Gi's, and the symbol on their backs matched those worn by the Victory School students, though these three were much stronger.
"Seems some of your friends have come to Satan City's aid" murmured the man in his gravelly voice, the gleam in his eyes hidden by the hood of his cloak. The three did not respond or acknowledge him, but he knew they were not ignoring him. Turning back towards the city, the cloaked man felt another power, this one flying past high overhead then moving out above the city. It was much stronger than any others in the area, perhaps one of the strongest powers around. As he watched the energy signal was joined by another, which flew up from the mountaintop to the west, and soon enough another joined them too. Each energy source was substantial in power and strength, and this troubled the cloaked figure.
It had been an ambitious target to go after Satan City, especially while Virion was off on planet Namek. The cloaked man stood in Virions stead, but even the bio-android himself at his current full power would have trouble dealing with the individuals the cloaked man sensed... Virion had suspected the possibility of Kami's interference, weather or not these three were sent by him was unknown, but it did not matter. He had called fourth the infected population in anticipation of this exact situation. The little group flying above the city, while strong, would still have quite a task on their hands if they intended to stop the full hoard of infected, their power augmented by Virion's influence, at the cloaked man's disposal.
And once they broke through, it would only be a matter of time before the entire population of Satan City joined their ranks...

Konstantin flew through the air, the tails on his coat fluttering behind him in the breeze. A large group of what looked like humans were gathering on the path to what looked like a large, overpopulated city. What struck the vampire the most was the height of the buildings. Even at the altitude at which he was flying, some of the buildings stretched high above that. His mansions had previously been a marvel of engineering, with maybe 4 floors, but this? These buildings stretched nearly half a mile into the sky, and they gleamed with glass and what looked like metal. To work metal into such high structures bespoke a mastery of architecture. These humans would not be as easy to scare into submission, especially if the power he sensed coming from a few select individuals was a true reading.
What was causing the vampire no small amount of unease was the strange readings he was getting back from the parade of people on the ground, walking towards the city. They didn't feel fully human, and any kind of attempt to reach out with his energy sense felt little intelligence on the other end. He was stumped, were these not humans, but some new sub-human species? Their clothing, at least from a distance, looked similar to that of the pair that Konstantin had terrorized not too long back, so he didn't think so, but he was still wary. His best bet would be to meet up with the group gathering closer to the city, as opposed to approaching the strange horde of humanoid creatures. He saw in the distance, more of them coming, as if called by some kind of intelligence.
There was a small contingent of uniformed men, by their bearing and their standardized appearance they were either military or law enforcement. At their head stood a pair of men, one wearing a uniform, the other shirtless. They appeared to be conversing, and it dawned on the vampire that he might witness his first true large scale battle of the "new world." He slowly descended, silently, arms crossed, his fancy suit coat and his formal pants not restricting his movement at all. His fancy cravat and his suit lapels, covered in dust from his millenia long stay in a crypt bespoke an ancient wealth, long since dead. Brushing the dust off his body, in order to make a better first impression, he landed a few meters away, not wishing to intrude in their conversation.
He wasn't nobility in this day and age, and he wasn't nearly as powerful as these two. Little did the vampire know of the strength the Sieglinde would be able to grant him in a battle situation, while his imprisonment had caused his powers to atrophy fall below where it had been, it had awakened a new power within him, the power of the holy lance that had sealed him away, a divergence from his vampiric heritage.
What really kept him away was a kind of shy awkwardness, would his manner of speech be too strange to them? What would he even say, how would he introduce himself? "Greetings my good man, I am a millenia old vampire who has awakened from a deep slumber merely miles from your great city, introduce me to your civilization?"
He turned and saw behind them, a woman standing with a tiger. A tiger? Are they common pets now? His mounting confusion flustered him further, and as opposed to the impression he had hoped to make, he now stood awkwardly, a few feet away from the men, as the soldiers/policemen who noticed his approach seemed to talk amongst themselves about him, while giving him wary looks.

Days passed since Carmine had thrust Komatsuna's sword into a rock, and told him to train both his mind and body to be able to pull it out. Komatsuna hadn't seen Zach since then, although he wasn't too keen on him, it appeared that Zach didn't like Komatsuna, although he couldn't figure out why. But nevertheless, this would not stop Komatsuna from training to become better.
It was on one of these training sessions that something Komatsuna had been noticing was becoming ever more apparent. Crowds of odd looking people had been passing him, always in the same direction, with the same intent: to get somewhere. And every day, more and more people would go by, no matter where he was, and always, always, in the same direction. It was disconcerting, and distracting from Komatsuna's training. He decided to go check out what the hell was going on.
The great migration had lead Komatsuna to Satan City, where there was a horde, if that was the right word for this ridiculously huge group of people, waiting outside. Police and military lined the walls, obviously keeping them at bay. Komatsuna still wasn't sure what was going one, and so flew over, near the armed forces outside the wall.
He spotted some people floating in the air, one of whom looked slightly familiar. Curious, Komatsuna started to fly over to them. Upon closer inspection, he found that one of these men was Zach. The other he didn't know, but was in close conversation with the blonde teen. He didn't want to interrupt, so kept his distance for now, surveying the crowds. Why so many people? What were they doing.
Komatsuna heard a roar, and looked around, spotting a woman on a larger than average tiger. Things were already weird and that just made things weirder. What was a woman doing riding a tiger? She shouted something, and the tiger started running towards Zach and the other man. It stopped underneath them, and gave out another growl. Komatsuna was so confused. And to make matters worse, there was now a strange, small wiry man, pale, tall, with silver hair flying towards them. When would the strangeness stop? Had it no bounds? Komatsuna would just have to wait to find out what would happen.

Takenoko was flying around the place the earthlings called “Satan city.” There were many similarities to planet Vegeta and Earth. One of those was how the people looked similar. However When Takenoko flew down he noticed some things that were different. When he flew up close to the humans they seemed different in a way. Their teeth had seemed to have turned to fangs. And their veins were clearly visible, looking as if they were about to burst through the skin. When Takenoko tried to get closer to one of them it suddenly turned hostile. What was wrong with these humans? Takenoko had done nothing to make them hostile, maybe this was one of their customs, to test ones fighting ability.
He was more than happy to show the human. He grabbed his sword out from his back. He placed it in front of him and smirked. The human went for a punch; Takenoko dodged this and proceeded to attack. While the human’s arm was going for a punch Takenoko sliced his sword at it. This effectively removed his arm. The human grabbed his arm and cried in pain. This was a bad idea as now more of them began to show up. They all must have heard the creature cry out in pain. This was bad, he could take a few but too many could become a problem. He was not one to ask for help and he would rather run from a battle than take it. He powered up and flew to another part of the city.
While he was flying over the city he noticed some more people, but these people seemed more normal than the rest of them. He took note of them. There was a blonde one, one with a tiger, a silver haired man and another martial artist looking person. They looked like a bunch of misfit minions in his opinion. He flew down and watched as they bantered. He wasn’t going to ask them for help with these creatures. He would rather stand where he was and wait for one of them to notice he was there.

Hovering above the city, Zach was unaware of Toshio’s approach until the man announced his presence. He was happy to see the man and even more so that he didn’t appear bitter about the last time they’d been together. He was about to greet the man but wasn’t given the chance as Toshio threw himself right into a half hour long lecture about what was going on in the city. About the only bit of new news that Zach wasn’t aware of was the fact that he’d mobilized the more advanced students of his school into a combat force to help defend the city. Kami had been trying in his subtle ways to teach Zach patience so the boy didn’t interrupt, simply nodded his head and resisted the urge to tell the guy that he needs to learn to sum up his information into easily digestible chunks.
“Tosh… I know, I’ve been flying over them for about an hour now all the way from near your school.” Zach finally interjected once the older man took a moment to breath. “I talked to some military guys back on the highway and they filled me in on most of what you told me. But thanks. Now, we’ve got to figure out what’s causing this. Right”
As Zach was finishing responding to Toshio, another person arrived, or rather their ride announced it’s presence with a growl. Looking down, Zach raised an eyebrow as that same strange girl he’d run into at the sword school lifted off a large tiger and joined them hovering above the city. “Hello there.” Zach greeted her and gave her one his rare smiles. Before she could reply to him though two more people showed up, on wearing some outlandishly old styled clothing. It was strange but for a moment Zach couldn’t unglue his eyes from the man. Even after dragging his gaze away, he was still being forced to actively resist looking back.
‘What the hell? He’s like a magnet…” Zach thought to himself and shook his head, wondering if anyone else was having the same issue. Forcing his gaze elsewhere, specifically to the fourth arrival. ‘Oh hey, it’s that Tuna guy from Carmine’s school.’ Zach continued to think to himself and then nodded to the robot. Then yet another arrival.
“What is this, a convention?” Zach asked aloud as the stick waver approached. Zach detected people who fought with weapons, they were cowards and one of the reasons he and the robot had gotten off to a bad start.

All amongst the small group appeared to know each other. And more importantly, they all appeared to be stronger than Konstantin himself. His powers had indeed decayed to a level far below where they once were, previously he had slayed 10 warriors whose powers would have rivaled these 4 with ease. The only one here who Konstantin was unsure about was the boy who had just approached, he curiously put off no energy signature. Maybe he was capable of masking his own strength, or maybe he was so weak his power was insignificant, and unable to be discerned.
Konstantin hovered closer, and despite his reluctance to crash his little party, he needed information about this new world, and hopefully this group of friends would be willing to help out an old man. The geography of the region had changed greatly in what Konstantin estimated were the few millenia since he'd been sealed away, he had only a dim awareness of the passing of time while he had been locked away in the catacombs beneath his castle. He crossed his arms, and trying to ignore how strange he must look in his clothing to this new breed of human, greeted them cordially.
"Greetings, my friends. I was sealed away in a castle long ago, and have only recently awoken. I require some information as to where I am and what year it is. I also wish to know what this gathering of strange, pink-eyed people outside this city portends, and for what reason the military must be mobilized in order to control them."
He looked at the group, and let his eyes rest on each one. A man in greenish clothing, who appeared to be quite self-assured, a musclebound man with no shirt on, a strange girl who didn't appear to be quite human, and the man with the invisible energy signature. They all looked so strange, so different from the people the vampire was used to. Even when he'd spoken, his vocal cords rattled, and his voice came out quite hoarse, from disuse. He hoped they didn't think he was a crazy person.

"No... Derick..." fretted a shapely woman in a pained voice, kneeling down and resting the injured man on her lap. He had been wounded in a vicious attack, and a crowd had formed around after his lone crazed assailant had made a run for it. One man had removed his shirt, and used it as a bandage to try and stem the flow of blood. It's white fabric had already been soaked red, and it was tied around the gruesome injury.
Another had folded her jacket to use as a pillow for the man, and had her hand on the other woman's shoulder sympathetically. Derick was a stranger to all of them, but each had banded together to try and help this man in need when they had heard his cries.
"He just attacked you like this and… ran off?" exclaimed one of the men as he rubbed his neck absent-mindedly, swallowing hard and thanking god it had not been him. "That bastard!..." gritted one of the other strangers angrily, "Don't worry Derrick.. you'll... you'll be ok" Derick tried, most unsuccessfully, to stifle cries of pain, his breathing sharp and shallow.
"He needs a hospital... that wound might get infected with who knows what!... but we can't make it, the nearest hospital is all the way on the other side of Satan City, they have us blocked." a man in dusty overalls named Colm moaned, "Just look at them out there… If one of those monsters did this, just image what a hoard of them like that could do?” the one who had attacked had disappeared back behind this group somewhere, leaving as quickly as he had arrived.
“He’s right… poor Derrick, what are we going to do?” came the butch voice of another, named Mack, his face a picture of concern. From up above a member of Toshio’s victory school flew down into the centre of the gathering, taking control of the situation. “What’s happened here?” she said, an air of authority about her, “One of those things attacked us. It hadn’t come from the mass up ahead either, it must have been lurking behind us somewhere -” Began the man who’d given up his shirt. “Who knows where they could strike from next!” interjected someone from behind, “poor Derick” wailed the slightly overweight woman, named Beverly, who had him rested on her lap
The Victory School student walked over, gently guiding a little girl out of her way, taking the man’s arm in her hand and examining it. “That had to twinge a little” she said by way of gross understatement. She motioned for the little girl to take the arm and follow her lead, as she walked back the four paces away to where the rest of the man lay.
His limb had been slashed off and was just lying there on the ground. The little girl had picked it up, nursing the disembodied fore-arm squeamishly, yet dutifully. “I don’t know what I can do for him…” said the martial artist, her fangs barely visible behind her slightly parted lips, her gi blowing slightly as the wind picked up. The group took on a crestfallen expression. Derick had gone quieter now, the bleeding seeming to ease up, though they weren’t sure if this was good or bad news. ((Moral ambiguity ho! Now who're the real bad guys in all this? )) The Infected Victory School student turned, there wasn’t much more she could do and the leader had set her a task… “Oh” she murmured in surprise, finding herself inches from walking into the cloaked figure. She inclined her head, acknowledging him and moving to the side. The crowd also looked up, some moving out to allow him through. The cloaked man reached out towards the stump of an arm, his hand protruded from the folds of his clothing. It was twisted and discoloured, barely a human looking hand at all. If that’s what his hand looked like then it was no surprise that he hid his body with that cloak, though none of the pink-eyed watchers seemed phased in the slightest. He was one of their own; there was no fear or prejudice among them.
The shirt which had acted as a bandage unwrapped itself seemingly with a will of its own, the blood flowing once more in a gentle trickle, a deep, rich arterial red that did not bode well, but was not altogether unexpected given the circumstance. The shirt floated over out of the way, before dropping to the ground with a bloody squelch.
The cloaked man’s hand moved up, coming to Derick’s chest. The top two buttons slid open, and his hand rested on the man’s flesh. The digits tensed, and suddenly the veins protruding from the skin on his thorax began to pulsate, new veins springing up to the surface, all radiating from where the cloaked man’s hand was pressed. A small glow was starting, moving along his arm to where the limb was missing. The blood began to hiss and bubble, as another wave of evolution began within. Derick let out a cry.
Through gritted teeth he stilled himself, his consciousness brought fully back to his present circumstance. From the cloaked man’s lips came a gravelly voiced command, directed to the intrigued onlookers: “bring the limb”.
It was definitely possible to regrow an arm from scratch, but there was no point in in wasting unnecessary energy. The little girl came forward, presenting the detached forearm to another man, who then moved in wordlessly to place it against the joint where it should be attached. The vampiric child watched with all the innocent curiosity of any regular child, completely unabashed by the morbid nature of what had happened here.
The cloaked man directed his attention back to his hand on the man’s sternum, and with a pulse the glow intensified, new veins protruding themselves from the man’s flesh and wriggling like worms under his skin. The glow near his severed joint also grew, it’s purple light emanating slowly down into the forearm.
The fingers twitched…
Then twitched again. The man holding Derick’s severed arm in place gently let go, but rather than falling out of place the limb stayed put. Flesh and sinew was growing like webbing across the small gap, the apparently boiling blood drifting from the shrinking wound like a gas. Now rather than a severed arm, it merely had a gnash mark circling around it, the flesh resembling fabric which someone had taken scissors too at uneven intervals. This too eventually closed over, forming scar-like tissue as the limb became completely reattached.
The man got up, looking in awe at his healed arm, clenching and unclenching his fist slightly. Now the whites of his eyes had become pinker in colouration, the irises deepening to a more reddish tinge. Dark lines ringed his eyes and his skin had grown slightly paler, though this may have been from shock(he had just had him arm cut off after all). Not only that, but his energy had grown stronger, bringing with it an increase in muscle tone. He wasn’t just healed, he felt better than ever before. ----------------------- ((Just a little character development. It use to be a very long post, but i've decided to hold back the second part and post it up separately.
Also, I'm thinking the way we'll handle this once the attack starts is that everyone will split off, each defending one side of the city and facing off against an infected 'leader'.
This thread will remain open until everyone is finished meeting and greeting and getting organised, so don't worry about that. (take all the time you like getting to know what year it is or how lifes been treating your guys or who these people who've shown up are and whatever else. don't feel like you need to wrap it up, cause we can move forward while still keeping this open)
But I'll Still set up each individual 'duel' thread now. So look for a thread with your name on it

Dalego was in Satan City looking into the sky admiring the beauty it possessed as usual. It would always catch him and place him in an unshakable state of awe. The beauty within the sky was that powerful. Dalego took a deep breathe and exhaled calmly, but his calm state would turn into pure curiosity as he sees the military walking the streets of the the city. He wanted to mind his business and continue to look at the sky, but he was deeply intrigued by the military coming out in what seemed like full force. "Why are they patrolling the streets? There is no reason for it is there?"
He suddenly felt a power level far greater than his, the likes of which he has never seen and it was moving at a fairly relaxed and decent speed. He looks into the sky towards his left to see a a strange looking man with clothes that seemed old in some way. The strange man seemed not alone as there were other people near him in a group it seemed. The group looked to be conversing. The group was mostly male with one female it seemed, but Dalego was a bit too far away to actually tell. The only reason he spotted the man in the strange clothing was because he stuck out like a sore thumb as if he was different somehow. This all intrigued Dalego greatly and he had to know more.
"What are those group of people doing floating along like that? What is truly going on here?" Dalego then hears a military troop talking to his squad. No doubt the squad leader. "Everyone let's move out. We have to help hold the western blockade!" The soldiers move with haste and a few bump into Dalego. Dalego was so confused that he didn't know what to do, so he decided to fly to the top of the highest building near him and watch very carefully to get more information on what was going on in Satan city.
"I hate having to sit back and spy, but I have no choice in the matter."

{I've had a a few complaints about the posting order and although this is not technically my thread, I would like to request that everyone post in the order that it was established and newcomers enter at the end of the cycle. Myself, Tosh, Yoko, Virion, Vlad, Komatsuna, Takenoko, Dalego and newcomers.
Thanks for your cooperation, it'll help things from getting too caotic.}

((Any particular reason why such a production line system is necessary?
As long as everybody has their say, it hardly matters if Vlad goes after me or Tosh goes before Youkou. It doesn't even matter if someone gets skipped during a cycle, cause they would then just post up during the next cycle. (Though you obviously try not to run to far ahead of anyone)
Specific posting orders seem more designed for combat, where each play has to take turns to react and counter-attack. This is just an introductory thread.
I'll also mention that if we post in a specifically-ordered system like that it's going to slow this thing down to an absolute crawl, since at least two of the posters here have said they're only going to be posting sporadically at best.
For example I might only have free time tomorrow and Friday next week. If we go in a specific order and toshio and youkou haven't posted by tomorrow(lets say they post the day after instead), that means everyone behind me will then have to wait till Friday next week before I finally take my turn and thus they can take theirs.
Where as, if we can go an unspecified order, I could post tomorrow, tosh and youkou the day after, everyone else the days after that, and so on, allowing the thread to keep progressing smoothly without one person's schedule then mucking up everyone else and stalling the whole plot-line.
That's my reasoning anyway. The RPG's I've been part of tended to have a large group of players in the one thread, and they used an un-ordered system. Didn't get chaotic then, worked quite well actually. People tended to only post when they had something worth saying or after others had reacted to them, so you still kept posting in cycles
Anyway, up to you guys, I don't mind as long as this doesn't just die off from people going missing XD edit: fixed typo))

Toshio listened as Zach informed him that he already knew mostly about what had transpired. He nodded to Zach’s proposal of finding out what had caused this catastrophe. Toshio was about to motion for Zach to help him overlook the city and see where the mass was biggest at, but a loud roar interrupted this. He turned to see a rather large white tiger roaring and making it’s way toward them on the ground. Behind it he noticed a very familiar looking person….It was Youkou.
Toshio had not seen her in quite some time. His eyes glazed over her new outfit, she had gotten a little taller as well. To Toshio, it seemed like ages had passed by since their last encounter. He only hoped that things now would be different, different for the better. He watched as the tiger stopped and Youkou rose to meet them in the air. A smile flashed upon Toshio’s face. He was glad to see her again; he was about to say something before he noticed more people start to show up. Their power levels coming to be sensed by Toshio, was the massive flock from the virus infected civilians drawing the attention o other’s this powerful? Toshio eyes glanced toward what look liked a guy with clothes from Ancient past times and then over to a person who didn’t have a power level yet flew, which meant only one thing. An android….This plight is bringing all sorts of mysterious figures to this city. His eyes then jumped to what looked like another human, however he seemed to want to keep to himself, keeping good distance from the group.
Toshio ears caught wind of Zach’s words of this being a convention, making Toshio chuckle a little. Toshio then watched and listened as the ancient dressed figure approached them and spoke. When the figure stopped speaking, Toshio was at a lost for words. Sealed away in a castle?..I’ve seen Horror movies that started like that…Was this person really just been ‘awakened’ from…from a castle? Oh dear…Where to begin…
“Well Mr..uhhh, Awakened Man. The year is 1800 and as of right now your in a city called Satin City, that’s about to possibly be engaged in a great battle between the forces of this city and a virus infected flock of former civilians of other towns. The town is being quarantined and guarded by some of my student’s and those of the Military police force of Satin City. I hope that helps in any way. And that last bit of information goes to the rest of you; this city is in dire need of heroes and warriors willing to defend it. Any help would be greatly appreciated in protecting this city.”
Toshio hoped that each warrior that was there would lend their support to Satin City; they already had one big city be sacked by a massive battle. They didn’t need another city to become the site of massive battlegrounds of nothing but virus infected people running amuck.

(Sorry BUTTFACES in my life make it hard to enjoy the fun things in life.)
As Yoko stopped raising into the thin mildly warm clear blue sky and evening herself out with the two males that had been conversing with each other. Yoko still too scared to open her eyes. It was coming and she knew it. Toshi and Zach were about to make her day a living hell. All she had wished at that moment is that Toshio, her tiger was next to her so she could hug him while the yelled and laughed at her.
“Hello there.” Yoko's
” Yoko's eyes widened revealing her Marble like baby blue pupils. She looked on at Zach as if he had spoken a language she had never head of before. Her eyes met his but only for a brief second before her face started to turn bet red. Placing both hand behind her back she looked down at her black leather boots. She knew the words that she should reply back were "Hello again!" or something close to that. Anything would have been better than not staying a word.
Before she could even speak to Zach yet another person showed up followed by a few more. Yoko how ever did care too much about the others as she looked deep into Zach's eyes. It was like she fell into an endless ocean of dreamy lushishness. Her focus slowly moved from his eye to his lips. If only she could steal but one kiss from those beautiful manly lips. Te smile of his only enticed her more. "It was a smile meant for me and only myself she thought as gazed as his masculine neck. BIg strong and tough his neck was she thought. She was sure if that was a weak spot he would be unstoppable. If he were to attack me with a bear hug right now, I would not dare try to stop him she thought more as she now reached his big strong tough and powerful look chest. His abs looked as if on could cook iron their clothes to perfection using his body. He in the ye of Yoko was a prefect rock hard statue that hand came to life and exited out of her dreams.
Not looking away from Zach a horde of people had arrived around her. She was aware of their presents but really didn't care at the moment who was or wasn't there. She knew the only two that mattered were Zach and herself.
