A calling to arms; Search for the punching bag

A calling in the winds blew across Mount Paozu. Drawing near the good in all things, and the light over the land. As if time itself was bringing into fruition the demands of life, and the darkness that would follow.This wind was calling of Zach, the punching bag, beckoning his arrival, pulling every fiber of his being.

But would he accept the calling and arrive, or turn down his destiny

It was once again early morning when Zach awoke in his bed at the school. After his training with one of the students the previous day, he’d spent the rest of the day helping out around the school, earning him the bed for another night and breakfast this morning. This morning however he woke not from a restful sleep but from one disturbed repeatedly by strange dreams. Even though the boy from yesterday was with him and he was as physically comfortable as could be, something was bothering him, something he could place.

Unwrapping himself from the other young man’s arms, Zach climbed out of bed and dressed. Sneaking out after a night together wasn’t exactly his thing, but what ever was driving him was too strange to explain to a half asleep bed partner. Without making a sound the teen managed to finish dressing and get out of the room and down the hall. Making his way out onto the grounds, Zach strolled along in the chilly morning air in search of what, he knew not.

Atop the mountain far above other civilization, Zach had been summoned, by what had not yet been revealed however Zach could still hear it, a calling that pulled him further through the mountain until finally a figure appeared, it was dark, just as Zach had the opportunity to see it, the wind would pick up, and the figure would be covered in a veil of snow. It seemed tall, at least 5'10, however it did not hold much in the form of muscle or body weight.

The figure was emitting a power, not one of strength but rather one of grace, in the figures presence came a warmth, even atop this cold mountain. A friendly and kind energy that was inviting, and soothing to the young pilot.

"Zach, Finalist in the Arena"

The figure addressed him directly, the voice seemed slightly older, as if one of Zachs elders were speaking with him, however the words, similarly to the energy was calming. It continued once zach's attention had been directed.

"Your Planet needs you now more than ever Zach, without the support of yourself, the earth may find itself in a danger far beyond any it has seen before."

Images come into the young man's head, each horrific Image, each death, each life taken from the universe, In what was mere seconds, Zach would be able to see the entirety of an Alien Creatures Rampage. He would learn of Touketsuki Yakedo, and his dark past.

"Zach, if you feel you are capable, Go to the north, where the fabled Korin's tower lies. Climb that tower, waiting for you at the top there will be a man, one you shall refer to as the Kami, the Guardian of the Earth. He will direct you further."

Without giving a chance for questions, or even a chance for Zach to respond, the figure would be swept away into the wind, disappearing from view, its Aura remained, the warm feeling stuck with Zach, he had been visited from something greater than this world.

The instructions were clear, and now was his chance to move forward, to make something larger of his life.

As Zach trekked along, following the strange sensation that was drawing him nearer, he approached a snow covered pass near the summit of the mountain. Although it was freezing and any normal person dressed like Zach would have turned back by now, the boy was largely unaffected by the cold. He’d spent so long in the elements that his skin barely registered cold chill in the air and since he had kept moving, the amount of body heat he was generating was on par with what he was loosing.

As Zach entered the pass, a figure appeared to him, and in a dazzling display of mental powers, not only spoke to him but showed him images of things he would rather not have seen. He knew the Changeling was ruthless but had no idea he had personally destroyed so much. The images only further fanned the flames of hatred that Zach held for the diminutive monster. However before he had a chance to respond to the figure, it was gone, leaving Zach only with a direction and a name.

He wasn’t sure he should go, especially after just running out on the boy back in his bedroom at the school, but who ever sent this message knew about him and apparently either had a plan that involved him or wanted his help in forming on. In either case Zach knew he was needed and it was by someone who wanted to keep Earth safe. He nothing of the Guardian business the apparition spoke of but if this Kami wanted his help to secure Earth’s safety, then he’d get it. Summoning up his power to fly, Zach lifted off of the mountainside and ascended into the morning sky. Taking a quick heading check based on the rising sun, Zach found the general direction to north and rocketed off on that heading.

{I guess I’ll mix things up and request money this time. Being Zach did help out at the school and didn’t train. }
