Master Toshio stood in one of the many classrooms in the school. It was one of his 7-12 aged classrooms. Toshio’s appearance was slightly different than his usual attire. He was dressed in all white attire, a closed out tunic along with loose training pants. He wore a red headband around his head as well. He was chatting with one of the student’s about the proper way to hold a spar when a blond haired young man walked in. The man was older than the students in the room; he looked to be in his late teens. Toshio looked at him and smiled having recognized him. It was Zach, one of the school’s many helpers. Toshio knew that he was 18, young but a great warrior. Toshio finished talking with the kid and stepped back and started to introduce the class to Zach.
”Ah, it seems Mr. Zach has come to visit us. Say student’s wouldn’t it be nice to see Mr. Zach and I engage in a little spar?
He smiled as he heard the kids cheer in approval. Toshio then started to walk toward Zach to shake his hand. He smiled and spoke to Zach.
”Hey Zach, care to engage in a one on one spar? The staff will pay you for your assistance with this; I think it would be good for the kids to see two champs go at it. What do you say?”
He then stood there and wanted for a response from Zach. He had hoped that Zach would approve. Toshio would hate to disappoint his student’s and tell them that a spar was not going to take place.

Entering the classroom filled with youngsters, Zach thought twice about what master Abuul had sent him down here to do. He was told he was going to be helping teach a class, but didn’t know it was for the younger students, usually he helped out the older ones, at the very least the ones around his age. Strolling in further and spotting the man from the lookout, Toshio, Zach stopped next to the doorway and heard him introduce him to the kids and then announce his intention.
‘Ah, that’s why he sent me down here, put on a show for the young’uns.’ Zach though to himself and shook Toshio’s hand. He was still attired in his damaged and burned black pants, red boots and black wrist bands, having not been able to afford the new set of clothing he’d had his eyes on. Among the interesting things sold in the school store were weighted clothing with heavy metals either sown into pockets or in the more expensive brands, woven into the fabric it’s self. It was the expensive brand Zach was looking at, ostensibly the only one to come in the colors he wanted, so it was a given he’d accept the offer, especially since it paid.
“Of course.” the blonde replied and folded his arms up behind his head, stretching his torso this way and that as he walked into a clear area of the mats. “What rules are we going by? Non lethal obviously. Anything regarding energy?”

Toshio smiled as Zach shook his hand and said he would like to spar. Toshio then walked to the other side of Zach across the clear sparring area. He too started to stretch by bending down sideways on his left and right legs. He then proceeded to stretch out his arms by holding and turning them. He then listened as Zach asked about the rules of the spar. Toshio, while continuing to stretch spoke.
”Ah yes, well Non lethal of course and no energy. This will purely be martial arts at it’s best. Just hand to hand combat. Oh and Zach try not to let these kid’s down. They want to see a good spar.”
He smiled as the kids cheered once more waiting to see the two spar. Toshio stretched a little more before getting into a defensive position. He smiled and waved Zach on, indicating for him to start the spar. Toshio was going to put on a good spar and he had hoped that Zach would do the same. He seemed to be in better shape the last time they had meet u at the lookout. He had hoped that Zach had not slouched off his training during his recuperating.

“Got it.” Zach replied succinctly and took his arms down. He didn’t know if any of the kids knew him from the television and really hoped they didn’t. It was bad enough getting impaled by that alien monstrosity, but what was even worse was that it was broadcast live to the world. He’d managed to get over his near death experience but didn’t think he’d ever get over people staring at him, especially kids.
Clenching his fists, Zach brought his guard up about his head and chest and nodded to Toshio after the other waved him on. Stepping closer, the teen decided to start out slow, throwing a single jab up high towards the other man’s chest.

Toshio watched as Zach came at him with a jab. Toshio easily dodged it by side stepping to his left. While sidestepping, he managed to bring his right knee up and intended to hit him in the chest. He followed up by spinning around and performing a right backhanded first aimed to hit up in the back of the head. After this, he dashed away from Zach waiting to counter his offensive strikes if Toshio’s had landed. Toshio was going to keep his body moving through out the spar. I hope this spar doesn’t re-injure Zach, I know he went through a lot with his recovery. If I see him start to get extremely fatigued I’m stopping the spar. Whether it’s a long one or not

Given that the jab was intended as a probing strike to gauge Toshio’s reactions as he’d never fought the man before and thus didn’t know what to expect, Zach had his arm pulled back and in a defensive posture by the time the master’s knee was closing in on his upper torso. Since Toshio had moved to his left, Zach’s right, and launched the knee strike, it was a simple matter to tuck in his right arm, intercepting the incoming blow. He then turned quickly intending to strike back with a left handed punch of his own, but mid punch, noted Toshio’s follow up to the knee and opted instead to swat the punch aside with an open palm.
It had been over a week since his injuries had been healed, but the muscles were still a little tender and twisting his trunk as quickly as he’d done did bring a noticeable grimace to the boy’s face. Thankfully though his innards were in better condition now then his abdominals and the persistent aching that had plagued him for the week had finally gone. Still the twinge of pain from his muscles prevented Zach from capitalizing on Toshio’s opening and the master managed to put distance between them before Zach could properly retaliate.
Drawing his arms back into their high defensive posture once more, Zach stepped after Toshio, preferring to force him to make the next offensive move. When he did, then Zach would strike as that was his style. The teen always left his middle open, making it a tempting target for any experienced fighter as they would know the damage that could be done with body punches. The trap usually worked as long as the opponent didn’t horribly outclass him in physical strength or speed. Since he lacked the ability to sense energy levels other then his own, Zach was playing his cautious, he knew the man was skilled, probably more so then Abuul, he was after all the school’s head master and one didn’t attain that position through political means.

Toshio watched as both of his attacks were blocked fairly well, he smiled as he then watched Zach come at him with a high defensive posture. He’s leaving his abdomen wide open…that kid’s stubbornness is like a double-edged sword. Toshio continued to smile as he performed a left kick to the boy’s ribcage. He would then use the force of the kick to spin him around and aim a left punch at Zach’s lower back. He would follow that up with yet another punch, this one from his right hand aimed at Zach’s upper back. He had hoped he would get at least one hit; yet Zack with his defensive hand-to-hand skills could turn it all around. Toshio had to be ready to counter his counter.
This spar would be good for Zach, it would allow him to experience combat once more after his long rehabilitation and deadly fight with Suki. This spar would also help myself, as Suki could come back at any moment and I have to be ready. Their no telling how strong Suki has gotten since his last arrival. I have to be ready next time, we all do.
Toshio had thought of the meeting atop of the lookout. Things have changed a little since then, he not only knew more great warriors, but also knew that Earth had a sort of ‘lookout’ in the form of a Namekian and Toshio would give his life to protect and defend each one of them. He was Master of this school for a reason, not only known for his fighting prowess but for his kind-hearted nature as well. This was who he was. This was Toshio Katsuo.

“Uuung!...” was the vocal response to Toshio’s kick. The man’s boot scored a direct hit against Zach’s middle, but off center enough to crash into both his upper stomach and the ribs flanking it. Were he in better condition the boy probably wouldn’t have even grunted from the impact as he’d spent quite some time learning to take such strikes and conditioning his torso to deal with them. He did grunt though but that was the extent of Toshio’s success. Like lightning, the blonde boy’s right arm dropped to loop around under the man’s leg and hoist up.
Zach’s intention was to flip Toshio up off of his feet. It didn’t matter if the man crashed to the mats or landed gracefully, the move was a demonstration for the kids, showing how one willing to take a hit can quite easily also take advantage of the opening left when their opponent commits to such a strike. Punches were a bit harder to counter as they were faster and at shorter range and elbows were the hardest. Toshio however had opted for a showy kick and the natural reduction in speed with a kick allowed for easier interception.
Regardless of where or how Toshio landed, Zach backed away a few steps and returned his guard to it’s high position. He wasn’t sure if the other had a set lesson he wanted to teach or if this was just a demonstration to keep the kids interested so he held his ground and waited for the black haired man to make another move.

Toshio watched as his leg kick landed and made Zach grunt a tad, however Zach had managed to grab his leg and flip him backwards, Toshio caught himself, landed on one knee, and then managed to launch himself back toward Zach If he was going to continue to leave his abs open. I’m going to wear him out with strikes to his stomach. No matter how fit you are there, enough strikes and you will start to get fatigued. This was going to be Toshio’s lesson, if it’s effective or not on Zach.
Toshio remembered that during the fight with Suki, Zach had left his stomach area open quite and bit and it doomed him in the end. Toshio would hope that with this lesson, Zach too would learn to not be so careless and open to attack all the time. It was smart to fool an opponent into attacking there, but it came at a price. And Toshio wasn’t sure if that price was worth it every single time.
He quickly threw two punches, a left and a right toward Zach’s abdomen. The strikes were quick and efficient; if Zach had managed to block either of them he had another plan in mind.

Zach didn’t have to wait long for Toshio to make his move, the man landed easily back on his feet and was bolting forward towards him in an instant. Keeping his arms up, Zach tightened his still not up to snuff, abs and tried to take the punches. His intention was to use the opening provided to strike at the man’s face, but his still spongy musculature couldn’t stand up to the shots. Both of the man’s punches pushed easily into him and hunched up the teen’s back.
“Uuuuh!.. Hhuuuugh!...” Zach bellowed as his lungs emptied themselves of most of their air. The boy was well aware that leaving himself open was a risky proposition but his whole fighting style was focused around it so that aspect would not change. What would have to improve is his ability to take the hits. He wasn’t going to just stand there though and let Toshio beat the snot out of him. Unfortunately at the moment, his sponge like midsection was causing him enough pain to prevent an immediate reaction.

Toshio watched as his punches collided with the blond boy’s abdomen. The strength of the punches made Zach’s back hunch and Toshio watched as the attack left Zach unable to rebound with a counter. I hope this spar doesn’t set him back in his recovery…I would feel awfully bad about that if it did…yet the student’s here want a lesson and I don’t want to disappoint them either… Toshio had come to a decision, he would continue to spar with Zach, however not make any more attacks geared toward his stomach region. With that in mind, Toshio attacked once more.
Toshio twirled around to the back of Zach and sent an quick left elbow into the hunched back of the blond wonder, which followed by a right handed karate chop to the right side of Zach’s neck. Toshio hoped that Zach would be able to continue to spar, as a longer spar would benefit both of them, including the student’s.

Still suffering from the shots to his stomach, Zach could only stand there and try to breath while Toshio circled around behind him. The boy tried to take a step to turn and follow but only made a quarter turn before the man’s elbow plowed into his back. Pain exploded like a multicolored fireworks show in Zach’s vision, the man had brutalized one of his kidneys and that hurt almost as much as getting kicked in the man parts. Thankfully Toshio hadn’t done that otherwise the boy would have been down and out. Instead the elbow sent Zach stumbling forward to try and get away.
The sudden swish of moving air that disturbed the hair on the back of his head told the blonde that he just narrowly avoided a follow up strike. Struggling to keep himself in motion moving after the shot to his back, Zach took a few more steps before turning back to face his opponent. The blonde teen kept his guard up and tried to steel himself for another assault by the school’s headmaster. Hopefully he’d be able to weather is better and would attempt to work in another counter.

Toshio watched as his elbow landed and forced the young warrior to stumble forward in pain making Toshio’s follow up move miss. The half-saiyan watched as Zach struggled to move and get into his favored position. Toshio smiled and shook his head. This boy is quite the combatant. Stubborn. But a good fighter. Toshio then charged toward the young boy and attempted yet more offensive maneuvers. He feinted a left punch aimed high and then dropped to the ground hoped to pull a leg sweep. He then would follow that up by aiming a punch at the top of Zach’s chest during the fall, which would push Zach further away.
Toshio had hoped that the young feisty warrior would be able to maintain a level of hand-to-hand combat that was suitable and a learning experience for the young student’s watching.

With his arms up and ready for a high strike, Zach was able to easily intercept Toshio’s punch and immediately countered with one of his own, intending to plant his left fist across the man’s cheek. He may have been in pain, but the boy knew how to handle himself and once the throbbing in his stomach had lessened from short to dull, he found it easier to move again.
Toshio’s attempt to trip him was both successful and not in that his leg did indeed knock one of Zach’s out from under him. The teen though turned and descended to his knees in a controlled fall, rather then the uncontrolled version the older man would have intended for him. Still pulling his left arm back from his own strike, Zach to the punch to the chest, grunting from the impact but otherwise taking it well. Being on his knees though he didn’t go anywhere and was in fact in an excellent position to return the favor of a trip. Lurching backwards, he took the chance of opening himself up to a major strike and planted his palms on the floor behind him. The as fast as he could manage, Zach attempted to swing his right leg out, shifting his weight to his arms, and use it to sweep Toshio’s out from under him.

Toshio took the punch to his face before halfway succeeding with his leg sweep. Toshio watched as Zach caught himself and proceeded to perform his own leg sweep. Toshio caught this, planted his hands behind him and forced himself up off the ground avoiding the sweep. At the same time as he dodged the attack, he did one of his own and pushed both of his legs and feet outward hoping to connect them on the face on Zach. The force of the outward leg kick would be large enough to surely push Zach away even if he somehow managed to block it.
Toshio hoped that the force of the kick would leave the poor young Zach unconscious, as that would probably upset the kids a little...then again they were kids… and they would probably think it would be funny, however a concussion was never good and hoped that if hit by his feet that Zach would use that hard head of his to not sustain a severe head trauma.
