Saru could be seen on outskirts of Metropolis Island throwing a barrage a punches and kicks into the air. The outskirts of the city was basically a grass field located on a cliff and on the bottom of that cliff was the ocean which had some jagged rocks that could easily impale somebody if they accidentally fell off. Since the first arking period just ended, Saru didn't after to worry too much about how many sick days he had left since the new marking period gave him new ones which he will automatically lose if once the third marking period started. As usual, Saru skipped school in order to train, and normally, he would be going full throttle with the barrage of kicks and punches, but this time they were half assed.
Since this was a city full of scientific minds, there really weren't any good fighters other than the occasional android a scientist will make. And as a saiyan, a challenging opponent always brings out the best of him and his abilities. But because of the lack of fighters, Saru found it difficult to push himself beyond his limits for there really wasn't anybody exciting or challenging enough to push them.
I really need to find a good opponent to at least spar against thought Saru. Even though he was going to join the local tournament with Degon, the only person who seemed to prove a challenge was this Brock Lee guy who was stronger than Saru's base strength. But since Saru knew the kaio-ken, he knew that it wouldn't take too long to beat that fighter.
