Nam had been flying for quite some time now, probably hours, but he was determined to get there. After a while, he saw a large pole in the distance and decided to land nearby. He observed the white pillar. It seemed to go on forever and it had weird carvings, which he couldn’t make sense out of. This must be Korin’s Tower… Nam had never really traveled much. His life had changed quite a bit since his mother’s death. It was a terrible thought, but he couldn’t help but think of the bright side. A world without conflict is a world without change. People only truly grow and learn when they’re forced out of their comfortable environments or are given an incentive to leave home. His mother’s death was the catalyst –and because of it, here he was, exploring the vast and beautiful world. It was like Nam has his own little wise man inside his head. The thoughts just come in like the wind. He had no control over it, it didn’t matter how vulgar or how depressing the thought was. He always seemed to analyze things to the smallest detail; always thinking of every possible solution.
A man once said, It’s not that I’m so smart, I just stay with the problem longer. Nam could understand those words as clear as day. Usually someone would try a few times and quit on the third attempt. Then there are those who endure the extra mile and keep trying, until they discover and solve the problem; usually learning something more in the process. Nam was one of those who went the extra mile.
The half-saiyan sighed as he touched the pillar. “I should get going…” he said to himself. He lazily dragged his arm off Korin’s Tower and began to fly up. He wondered whatever was waiting for him at the top; no doubt, it would take some time to get there. As he went higher into the air, he soon left the troposphere and the air began to feel denser. Nam was beginning to breath heavily, but not from exhaustion –but suffocation; although, he could still survive. He kept going up, maintaining a rhythm of speed to save energy. Shortly after he probably passed the stratosphere, entering the stratopause; he based this on the fact that he had just seen a plane flying nearby and he went through a cloud. He didn’t really have a reason for passing through the cloud, except he’s never tried it before. His black martial arts innuendo became humid and wet; he was honestly not expecting that.
Finally, Nam saw the top and decided to speed up a bit. His red aura flashed fiercely, leaving a trail behind him. He decreased his speed as he got closer and observed was looked like a big… actually; he didn’t know what to make of it, but it was empty. Nam entered and surveyed the area. There were jars everywhere and in the center there was what seemed like a holy grail. Nam opened it to see its contents, but it appeared to be water, nothing extraordinary. He wondered who could possibly live here –or lived… He went to the three jars and looked inside. More water. But something happened. The water waved as if a drop had fallen and inside he saw an image. It was Antary, he was on his way to Korin Tower, but he seemed to have been struggling with the weights John supplied him. Nam was confused and decided to check the other jar: inside he saw Antary in Oozaru form, raging in the barren land of Central City. But… this already happened… he thought.
Nam began to think that the jar he was looking at showed him the present, Antary running towards the location John had instruct; the past, Antary rampaging the ruins of Central City; and the next one would probably show him the future. But why was it showing him Antary? Perhaps because he’s practically the only person he knows, besides Zach of course, but he hasn’t seen Zach in ages… Nam took a deep breath and closed in on the last jar. Anything could appear, but this went against Nam’s beliefs. He didn’t believe the future was written in stone, it’s not like our actions were decided since the very beginning. If it were, then what’s the point of living? Nam had a hard time trying to find a purpose as it is, now they wanted to tell him he can’t affect the future. Then again, doesn’t knowing the future mean you can willingly change it? It was a tough concept to swallow. He decided to take whatever shows up as a warning, instead of a fact. Whatever appears in the jar will be whatever is going to happen if things stay as they are –but… what exactly needs to change?
Nam shrugged and finally found the guts to open the jar. Inside, there was a man –no, an alien? It was small in stature and covered in armor. It had a purple bulb on its head and long black nails. Everything about it was dreadful, especially its long tail. Why was the jar showing him this being? It was completely against his initial theory of only showing those he had recently made contact with. Maybe, it also showed someone who would meet later on. Nam couldn’t make sense out of any of this. What does this thing have to do with me? Why did John send me here?
Nam receded from the jars and continued snooping around. Maybe someone would pop up and that would be who he was mean’t to see. The half-saiyan walked down the stairs that stuck out of the structure, curving down to the ‘basement’. Just in cue, his stomach growled upon the sight of food. Nam usually didn’t do these kinds of things, but it didn’t seem like anyone lived here. But then, how would he explain all the fresh food? He decided to ignore his common sense for once and endorse his hunger. The food was delicious and it helped recharge his energy. He couldn’t have enough of chicken breasts and the potatoes were spot on. After stuffing his face with the food he laid there helplessly on the floor. Feeling terrible for eating all of this food without the owner’s consent and without actually knowing where it came from. Where ever the keeper of this place was, was probably coming from a long journey with the only thing in his/her mind being this food; which Nam had so gracefully eaten and enjoyed.
It was evident that Nam had to get out of the place before the person arrived. But before he did, he stopped to ponder on whatever method the man would use to get here. Nam was sure he probably flies, just like himself. He couldn’t imagine someone climbing this giant totem pole on a daily basis; then again, who was he to judge? He left a note nearby for whoever it was that lived there. Finally, Nam made way and began to fly out. He was wondering whether there was something he was missing; a clue of some sort. Was he supposed to have some kind of epiphany? The half-saiyan circulated the top of the pillar with close attention.
At the very top of this colossal pillar was a smaller red pillar, which would’ve been unnoticeable if it were white. Nam floated closer to it as he began to realize what it was, “GOKU’S POWER POLE!!” This moment sent chills down the half-saiyan’s spine. To think he was witnessing a historical monument. This beats any text book he could ever read in school. They weren’t that detailed anyway. It never explained what the Lookout actually was, and who was waiting up there. Nam smirked as he realized that he would be one of the first people, other than the Z-Fighters, to discover the place.
He flared his aura again in a burst of energy and dashed up the rod. He couldn’t wait to see the top, but it seemed he had only gone half the way. He couldn’t imagine just how long it would have taken to climb this without his Bukujutsu.
EDIT: So, I've been told Korin is supposed to be dead? If so, let me know and I'll change it. Isn't he supposed to be like... immortal? It's too bad though.. I think Nam meeting Korin was the best part of this post ><
I edited my post. >< No more Korin.

It felt as if he had been flying for hours. Maybe he was. Nam soared up the sky calmly, maintaining a constant velocity. He looked below himself and all he could see were clouds, no land whatsoever. He wondered just how high he was in a general scale. He also wondered whether it should be possible for a human to survive such a height, apparently it was. Humans weren’t meant to fly this high, that was a given. It was evident by just looking at their anatomy, but the use of energy particles were the exception. Perhaps his saiyan genes played a part in the equation as well.
Hmm? What’s that? he thought. Above him appeared to a floating bowel structure. Nam sped up to take a closer look. He had the strange feeling that he was exactly where he was supposed to be. He went up the sides of the structure, near the stairs and followed it up to the top. “Whoah…” he gasped as he got a panoramic view of the entire place; a big, white and round platform with palm trees centered near the edge of the stairs, welcoming him to the place. Around the circumference of the platform were another type of tree. Nam wasn’t sure but they seemed like pine trees to him; the way it curves up from a single focal point near the stem and then narrows at the tip. At the other end of the white, platform was a white building with a yellow design. The architecture of the building seemed like that of an Arabic civilization and surrounding it where two pillars on each side with a head –they were like extremely mini versions of Korin’s Tower. Around this giant airborne structure was nothing but sky.
Who would have thought that all the way up here, there was a huge floating… thing? Or perhaps… was that red rod he was following actually sustaining it? He highly doubted the theory and discarded it immediately. Nam decided to take a closer look and landed on the tiled floor. His feet clapped upon landing and the half-saiyan immediately noticed the maintenance of the place. It was spotless. The gardening was beautiful and the floor was polished. There definitely had to be someone here to keep it so tidy –but who? Nam decided to assume this was the ‘Lookout’ until he was proven wrong otherwise. John was way off with his directions; Nam would have never expected he would have to go such a high distance, but somehow his sense of direction led him here anyway. At least he did it all in a day.
Nam calmly walked towards the building while he checked his appearance. Brushing his dark brown hair back with his hands, which were messy from the wind. A single strand of hair curled over his face. The half-saiyan stiked his black martial arts wares with his hands to get rid of any particles or wrinkles; he was already dry from the time he passed through that cloud. As usual he had the Victory School symbol emblazoned on the left of his thorax. Lastly, he adjusted the scabbard around his back, which from time to time he continued to forget it existed.
“Hello!? Is anyone here?” he said, arriving several feet from the entrace of the building. The entrance was covered by a passage, with a pink roof. Nam peered through, trying to see any kind of movement; but it was dark and shadowy inside.

Royd’s trip from Mt. Paozu was slow and thankfully uneventful. The anti-gravitational disk hummed along as it carried the space-suited man towards his destination. Far overhead the Nightflyer was receiving it’s shipment of fuel from an automated tanker and within the hour would be ready to maneuver. Meanwhile Royd was nearing his destination and the short range radar on the transport vehicle was starting to pick up and object of great size less then a mile ahead. The mass filled the entire forward looking portion of the radar screen, telling Royd that it was indeed something quite large and quite close.
As the disk approached the lookout and Royd slowed the vehicle under manual control, he could make out a spire of some kind bellow, ascending into the cloudbank above. Since the radar wasn’t side scan and couldn’t tell him the altitude of objects, he could only assume what ever the return signal was coming from, it was in or above the cloud cover. Bringing the anti-gravitational disk to a complete stop, Royd piloted it strait up, ascending slowly through the clouds and just as he crested the puffy layer, the lookout came into view. The science minded man marveled at to him was a masterful job of anti-gravitational engineering as there was no possible way that the spire beneath this tower could support it’s own weight let alone the mass of the bowl shaped structure on top.
Slowing the vehicle’s ascent after rising above the level of the deck on the lookout, Royd started guiding the disk forwards once more until it hovered over the lip of the platform and then started to descend back towards the surface. Royd brought the anti-gravitational disk to a temporary hover while the landing legs extended, about a foot above the surface of the lookout’s deck and then set the craft down gently. The gravity lenses continued to hum with energy for a few more moments while Royd prepared himself and grabbed his cane in his right hand, then pressed the shutdown switch with his left.
At once Earth’s oppressive gravitational pull mired him in it’s invisible grasp. Leaning heavily on his cane, Royd turned towards the rear of the disk and crossed it’s diameter before descending the three steps to the floor below. As he walked around the craft, it’s stealthy arrival had gone unnoticed by a figure near the entrance to the only structure on top of the bowl shaped tower. Royd took a moment to check the conditions outside of his suit before unsealing his helmet and making his presence known. The reading on his arm mounted display indicated comfortable temperatures and reasonable air pressure, safe enough to breath provided he didn’t exert himself. Unfortunately on Earth Royd could do nothing but exert himself.
In moments he had his helmet unsealed and removed, leaning his cane against the anti-gravitational disk while he was using both hands. Once the headpiece was secured it his side, Royd took up his cane once more and slowly took a few steps away from the craft in order to get a clearer view of the figure under the covered walkway. His reason for doing so was two fold, one to actually see who the person was and second, to get a clear line of sight to them so he might use his telepathic talents.
At first his cursory scan only gave him empathic results, the young man was feeling mainly curiosity, wonder and bewilderment. As Royd stood and probed deeper it was evident to him that the boy was looking for someone. ‘Ah, he must be looking for the same one who contacted me.’ Royd though to himself and finally decided to make himself known.
Being much to far away to comfortably call out to the young man or to cross the distance without significant effort, Royd fell back on his telepathic talent to announce his presence. Projecting a facsimile of his voice into the young man’s mind, Royd greeted him. “Greetings young man. I believe we are both looking for the same person. If you will be so kind as to turn around I would like to speak to you in person.”

Rocketing across the sky at near supersonic speed, Zach raced towards the location he’d been told to journey to by the apparition, his loose fitting pants flapping wildly with the intense flow of air over his body. Eventually he arrived in the general area of the tower and spotted the spindly spire protruding from the Earth below. Scanning up it’s length, Zach could see the tower extended into a cloud bank above but beyond that he couldn’t see. Opting to fly along it’s outer surface rather then climb it as was suggested, possibly because everyone assumed the muscular teen couldn’t fly, Zach bolted to the spire and then angled his path strait up along the tower’s outer wall.
As he passed through the clouds, Zach nearly crashed into the underside of a humongous bowl shaped structure adorning the top of the tower. He changed direction and skirted around the lookout, coming up on the opposite side of the platform. Slowing to a hover over the building and gardens bellow, Zach could see a saucer shaped craft that looked very out of place, a man in what appeared to be a black space suit and… Nam?
Zach’s eyebrow went up as he descended to the polished floor below, landing at a right angle to Nam relative to the man in black. “Hey Nam, is that you?” he called out and started to walk towards the young man.

The half-saiyan started walking slowly through the roofed passage. Nobody had answered him. “Greetings young man. I believe we are both looking for the same person. If you will be so kind as to turn around I would like to speak to you in person.” Nam immediately turned to the left. He didn’t know why he looked there; he just did. The saiyan gazed ahead, where he saw a man in a black jumpsuit and a cane. Behind the man there was what seemed like a flying saucer, but Nam put no mind to it. Royd? he thought. There was something different about him, last time Nam met him, he couldn’t feel his life force; as if he were some kind of ghost –or illusion. But now, although it was low in comparison, he could feel it.
Nam calmly walked towards the jump-suited man. As he did, another power level had spawned, and it was stronger than his. He only noticed as the man descended nearby. “Hey Nam, is that you?” a familiar voice, and from the peripheral of his eye he could almost guess from the shirtless figure. He turned to face the man whom was so familiar with him and gawked as he realized his guesses were true.
“Zach?” he managed. How did he get so strong!? the half-saiyan thought. He remembered telling himself that he would become stronger than Zach by the next time they met; but here he was, overwhelming by the power emitted from his old friend. To be honest, they haven’t known each other for that long, but an old friend still seemed appropriate. How’d you get so strong? –was exactly what he wanted to ask, but Nam just couldn’t bring himself around to asking that question. That tournament must’ve done wonders… he assumed.
Right now there were a few questions to be asked, and Nam was pondering on which one to ask first. He could be a friend and ask how he’s been, or satisfy his curiosity and question the reason behind his presence in a place like this –or, he could reveal his stress and ask straight out; how’d you get so strong? He stood there silent for a moment, trying to swallow the surprise and noticed he had created an awkward silence between the two. “Huh!? –he snapped-, sorry, I got lost in thought.” The half-saiyan smiled and continued, “It’s been a long time hasn’t it? What brings you here? How did the tournament go?” while he spoke, he would gaze back at the jump suited man for an instant. Nam was still conscious of Royd’s presence, which was waiting for him; but he reasoned that he should take care of the most immediate matter first.

Royd’s telepathic contact with the boy’s mind did a little more then he was intending, the boy recognized him in his thoughts and even recalled his name. Royd though had not initially recognized Nam, not until the memory of his hologram surfaced in Nam’s mind. His abilities weren’t developed enough yet to permit a deep scan of Nam’s thoughts, not that he would invade the other’s privacy without great need, so Royd saw no additional need to maintain the contact and was about to break it off when another young man appeared, descending from the sky above.
The raven haired telepath didn’t know what to make of the shirtless teen and rather then error by getting involved, Royd remained quiet and kept his attention on Nam’s thoughts, eavesdropping just enough to know if this blonde boy was friend, foe or other. Zam recognized this one faster then he’d recognized Royd and a feeling of awe and friendship and perhaps Royd though, a tiny hint of jealousy washed over his mind. Nam knew the other boy, Zach it appeared his name was to be a friend so he no longer needed to spy on the other’s thoughts.
As he cut his telepathic link with Nam however, the oddest sensation started to creep into Royd’s mind and a few moments later, the computer onboard the Nightflyer started to page his suit’s radio. “Yes? What is it?” he asked, to which the computer responded in it’s usual, creepy manner.
“A ship? No I don’t know anything about it. Keep it on scan and inform me where it lands.” Royd replied to the computer and started to make his way towards the others. His movements were slow and labored due to his physical condition, giving the two a few moments to talk to each other before the computer got back to him with more information.
“I don’t mean to interrupt you two but my ship has picked up a large vessel entering Earth’s atmosphere. It looks to be landing in or near Satan City and the navigation beacon identifies it as a cruiser in the World Trade Organization. Do either of you know what is going on? My computer doesn’t have any information on the company and… And…” Royd paused a moment to try and clear his head of the bizarre sensation. “My apologies, I’m having some difficulty.”

Walking towards the other boy, Zach noted that he was indeed Nam both as he got closer and the other called out his name. Smiling for once, Zach closed the distance at a jogging pace and stopped a few feet away. “Hey! Yeah, it’s been what, a week or two?” Zach joked, not remember exactly how long it had been.
“Tournament was a huge bust after our round together and to top it all off some maniac’s planning to blackmail us for money or slaves or both. Can you believe he actually wanted me to be some kind of general in his organization? What kind of sicko would join that and gang and enslave his own planet?” Zach asked rhetorically. “I take it you’re hear for the same reason I am? Someone wants to organize before he gets here?” Zach then asked just as the man in black approached them.
Zach wasn’t sure if he’d heard him right at first but then everything clicked into place, the guy was describing the Changeling’s ship and where it landed. If he was already arriving they had no time to waste organizing. Zach’s hotheadedness took over and without a word he lifted off, stopping for only a few seconds to get his bearings towards Satan City.
“Don’t follow me, wait for anyone else who comes.” Zach yelled down to Nam and the man in black and then rocketed off across the sky.
{Exiting topic. Moneyz please?}

Blackmail? Nam was now puzzled by what his friend was informing him. Zach had been going on about how some person wanted to enslave planets, but Nam was completely oblivious to the situation. He began to think that perhaps he should have stayed at the tournament and watch the events unfold, -no, if destiny is a real thing, then it wanted Nam to return to Central City and help fight off Meishi. Nam didn’t regret his decision, but now he needed to get up to speed. Suddenly, Nam had a flash back. He remembered hearing some kind of announcement about a banquet, but he ignored it while he focused on his extensive training.
“I take it you’re here for the same reason I am? Someone wants to organize before he gets here?” Nam flinched back to reality. He had lost himself in thought again. It seemed Zach thought Nam already knew about this tyrant.
“Actually-“ he started, but was then interrupted by the man in the black jump suit –Royd. “I don’t mean to interrupt you two but my ship has picked up a large vessel entering Earth’s atmosphere. It looks to be landing in or near Satan City and the navigation beacon identifies it as a cruiser in the World Trade Organization. Do either of you know what is going on? My computer doesn’t have any information on the company and… And…” he stopped; it appeared Royd was just as confused about this as Nam was.
World Trade Organization? Nam was unfamiliar with the term. He’s never heard of such organization. He looked a Zach, who seemed baffled by the news. Moments later he was rushing out, “Don’t follow me, wait for anyone else who comes.” He said.
Nam stood there with a blank expression on his face, “W-wait!” he yelled; but Zach had already blasted off. What’s going on?
Suddenly, Nam felt a terrible power coming from the direction Zach was headed and images of the weird being he saw in the jar back at Korin’s Tower flashed through his head. “Is all of this somehow connected?” he whispered to himself. He imagined the white creature; short, with purple orbs on its head and tail –probably reaching Nam’s thorax in size.
The half-saiyan turned to the man in the jump suit, “Eris, right? Royd Eris?” he asked, making sure he didn’t have the wrong guy. Once the man turned to face him, he continued, “Weren’t you the guy back at Central City? What brings you here? Do you know what’s going on?”

Needless to say, Royd was a little surprised when the shirtless boy took off. Evidently there was something in the news that he’d delivered and the strange sensation that was only now just beginning to subside, that alarmed the boy. Something about this whole business was making Royd uncomfortable and it appeared as though the young man that just bolted on them knew more then either of them.
Turning his attention back to Nam, Royd smiled and nodded, confirming he was who the young man thought he was. “Yes, I am Captain Eris. The real Captain Eris, I believe you and my hologram have already met.” he stated, holding his smile.
“I am afraid though that we are going to be asking each other the same questions. I know little more then you do. I was called here by someone who shares my unique talents and know only that my services and that of my ship are required to assist in defending the planet from some great threat. What that threat is I know not, the images I was shown revealed only the destruction wrought by this threat, not what it actually was. Might you have any other information?” Royd continued and then asked.

“Sorry, I’m totally in the dark…” the half-saiyan admitted. He stood there and retreated back to his thoughts. What should I do? All he knew about the whole thing was the appearance of the threat, and perhaps a small glimpse of its power –and that’s assuming the image he saw in the jar was exactly what he thought it was. Nam gazed back at the direction Zach had gone, it seemed they had already begun fighting, and it wasn’t looking too good. The young man clenched his fists, feeling hopeless. He felt Zach’s power. If he can’t defeat whatever that thing is, then Nam wouldn’t stand a chance. All he could do is stand in the Lookout and wait for whoever it is they were waiting for.
“It seems we’ll be stuck here for a while…” he said, looking back at Royd. “I really don’t like the idea of just standing around and doing nothing. –Do you fight?” Nam was hoping that Captain Eris was catching on to him. He was hinting for a small spar. They couldn’t do anything but wait, and Nam felt he would make better use of their time training rather than worrying. He was aware that his power level was considerably higher than Royd’s, but he was willing to lower himself to the Captain’s level in order to have fair fight. On the other hand, the cane seemed to have been supporting him. He was probably handicapped or something. Nam sighed in disappointment.

“Hmmmm, unfortunate. Then we must wait for who ever called me here to show himself.” Royd replied to Nam’s first statement. He noted the young man seemed to be thinking but chose not to intrude, although a moment later he wished he had and changed the subject before it even came up. When Nam asked him if he could fight, Royd didn’t know whether to laugh or yell at the boy.
“No, I’m am sorry but I am no fighter. I cannot even walk on this planet without the aid of my cane and even then it is very difficult for me. No, my talents lie solely in field of the mind.” Royd responded but thought a demonstration might be a better avenue to showing Nam what he could do.
“I am a telepath you see. The voice you heard before, when I first made my presence known and the one you are hearing now is my mind speaking directly to yours. I can do this over a fair distance but only if I can see you. I can also hear what you think aloud in your own mind and pick out a few thoughts or memories that are active in your consciousness. That is how I knew your friend there posed no danger to me and why I approached so readily. I also have other talents I could show you if you wish to see them, it is not often I get to use them so I would relish the opportunity.”

Nam wasn’t surprised when the man stated he couldn’t fight. It was stupid of him to even ask considering the cane. Although, Captain Eris assured that he indeed possessed special abilities; he didn’t only say it, but he demonstrated it:
“I am a telepath you see. The voice you heard before, when I first made my presence known and the one you are hearing now is my mind speaking directly to yours. I can do this over a fair distance but only if I can see you. I can also hear what you think aloud in your own mind and pick out a few thoughts or memories that are active in your consciousness. That is how I knew your friend there posed no danger to me and why I approached so readily. I also have other talents I could show you if you wish to see them, it is not often I get to use them so I would relish the opportunity.”
It was the same voice he heard when he was about to enter the building. After that, Zach popped up and left almost immediately. Nam was interested to see what other abilities the Captain possessed. He also wondered about the man’s background. Why was he crippled? What happened to him? But he decided to hold off on the questions for now and check out his powers.
“Sure,” he said. “Also, you think you could show me how you do that? –the telepathy I mean. I’m pretty sure it would be a very useful ability to know.”

“Very well. I will require a moment to prepare.” Royd continued to broadcast to Nam. He knew Nam wanted to ask questions that he thought were too personal to just throw out there and made sure not to embarrass the boy by letting him know that he knew. Closing his eyes for a few seconds, the raven haired man cleared his own thoughts and focused on the parts of Nam’s mind he could reach. He shortly there after detected the pathways on Nam’s mind that lead to memory and recognition and called upon his great reserve of mental strength to project a false image into Nam’s consciousness.
“Close your eyes for a moment please and then reopen them, it will make the transition easier for me to manage.” Royd requested aloud. He waited for Nam to do as he instructed and when the other boy looked upon him a second time he would see not the crippled man standing there in a space suit, but the blonde haired boy who’d departed just minutes before.
“As you can see…” he started in Zach’s voice no less, thanks to his telepathic cloak. “…even though I can not defend myself physically, I am not without a defense. Imagine you were some rapscallion determined to do me harm. I would project my telepathic talents into your mind and change your perception of me. I can become anyone you know, mother, father, best friend, anyone.” he explained. He’d avoided the subject of teaching Nam how to perform such feats as to his knowledge, telepathy was a gift possessed only by those with a particular brain structure. He had inherited his gifts from his mother and had no idea if Nam had any ancestors with telepathic talent or he himself had any.
