“Very well. I will require a moment to prepare,” Royd said. Nam stood there patiently, waiting for something to happen. The two were just staring at each other, but Nam assumed Captain Eris was doing something with his mind. That was his talent after all. A few moments later he was asked to close his eyes and so he did. The man in the jump suit explained that it would help the transition –er… whatever. Nam didn’t really understand, but he assumed it meant his abilities would be more effect somehow.
Nam closed his eyes, waited a few seconds, and opened his eyes once more. He no longer saw Royd. In his place, there was a blond, shirtless man with black pants. Nam didn’t show it, but he would’ve gawked in amazement. It seemed so real; even his voice was identical: “…even though I cannot defend myself physically, I am not without a defense. Imagine you were some rapscallion determined to do me harm. I would project my telepathic talents into your mind and change your perception of me. I can become anyone you know, mother, father, best friend, anyone.”
Nam couldn’t help but smile. Royd’s abilities were truly remarkable. “That is very impressive…” he praised. “What else can you do?” Honestly, Nam didn’t think he even needed anymore tricks. Having those abilities already put him in an incredibly huge advantage.

As Royd maintained the altered perception of himself in Nam’s mind, he could feel the stress of the illusion building in his own. It was tired but so much so to the point that he was faltering. He may have been a physically weak specimen of the human form, but his mental capacities were second to none. Than Nam brought up an interesting question, or rather the question it’s self opened the door to another interesting facet of the same ability.
“Interesting that you should ask.” Royd started, still in Zach’s voice and form. “If I apply my talents a bit more liberally and cloud your perception further…” he continued, his voice transitioning to his own as he spoke. “…I can completely remove myself from your mind entirely.” the telepath concluded as he pressed his control harder and the image of Zach wavered and then finally vanished from site, leaving only the anti-gravitational disk in the background.
“Please don’t reach out, I am still right here and you’d likely end up pushing me over. This type of control is rather draining, but if I am ever in danger or have need to fool a single person so thoroughly, I can maintain this mental cloak for a short while.” Royd explained.
He reappeared a few moments later, his left hand held to his head, not to comfort it, but as an aid to concentrating. His right was still firmly grasping his cane and there was a hint of perspiration on his brow. Two demonstrations of such magnitude with his telepathic power was plainly a strain on the raven haired man.

A few moments later, Zach’s illusion faded and had completely disappeared, as Royd explained, revealing the gravitational disk at the back, although Nam didn’t know it was what it was. He assumed it was a space ship, the shape of a saucer. The half-saiyan was baffled and tried reaching out to the empty space, but before he could, Royd warned that he only erased his perception of the man and would be knocked down if Nam were to walk forward and bump into him or reach out. So just in time, Nam stopped and retracted his hand from going any further.
“That’s amazing…” Nam said, as the man soon appeared in front of him once again. Nam wasn’t viewing the illusion of Zach anymore, but Captain Eris in his true form. He was still holding on to that cane and seemed a bit weary holding onto his head. “A-are you okay?” the half-saiyan asked. He was about to hold onto him in case he was going to fall or feint, but retracted from the idea since he was already warned about his fragile figure. “Let’s go sit down somewhere…” Nam turned to observe the area around him, disappointed to the lack of benches or some kind of seat. “Nevermind, I guess…”

“Yes yes, I’m fine. It’s just a little draining.” Royd explained as he took a few deep breaths before lowering his hand and smiling to Nam. He was graceful to the boy for his concern but even though he was yes, practically an invalid, he could still stand on his own for a while longer.
“That’s quite all right, the strain was mental, not physical, at least not overly physical. I can remain standing here for a while or we can venture back to my craft there and set on it’s edge.” the telepath suggested. He didn’t have to read the boy’s mind to know Nam was concerned for his health, it was touching but unnecessary.
{Sorry about the length. Kind of blah at the moment.}

(Yeah, same here xP)
Nam nodded as the man assured to him he was fine. “That’s quite alright; the strain was mental, not physical –at least not overly physical. I can remain standing here for a while or we can venture back to my craft there and set on its edge.” He suggested.
“Alright,” Nam responded, following the Captain as he escorted Nam to the resting place. The half-saiyan then looked back at the direction Zach had gone. There was something wrong. The blondie’s life force was extremely low while there was an incredibly evil and colossal power in the same location. It was familiar, as in, it felt like it was coming from the same being he sensed from the beginning. It seemed like the fight was over, because Nam couldn’t sense the clashing of powers. He also felt the presence of a third being.
Nam would’ve been worried, but the power emitting from this third entity was soothing and made him feel at ease regarding the circumstances; although, the half-saiyan was still anxious to know what was happening down there. Contrary to his inner feelings, Nam’s outer expressions were straight and emotionless; another person would have probably frowned, but Nam didn’t feel the necessity to show such feats.
It was weird to him, how people can show so much emotion. Nam was convinced that half of the time, all those smiles, glares, and frowns –they were staged. Why do people deliberately reveal their feelings with unnecessary gestures? He didn’t make any expression, unless it was forced on him –like crying; nobody can control their tears, they can’t stop their face from shriveling up and their voice from shaking. It was like fear, they can’t make themselves move and they can’t stop themselves from involuntarily running away. Unless his body forced such emotions, Nam didn’t feel the need to show them. It didn’t mean he was heartless, the feeling was still there –it was just concealed under his mellow exterior.

With Nam agreeing to take a seat over on the side of his vehicle, Royd turned around with the boy and started to slowly make his way back. The gravity was starting to take it’s toll more then Royd had admitted and as a result, his steps were becoming slow and labored. He couldn’t feel the battle going on in the same sense that Nam could, as his talents essentially operated on a different frequency and used different physical structures in the brain. All Royd could feel, or rather detect faintly, was the continuing presence of a strong mind. He had know sense of it’s direction or distance, just that it was there and was the same one he’d noted arriving.
As they finally approached the craft and Royd turned, sitting down, he let out a relieved sigh. He still felt like he weighed half a ton but at least that weight was no longer on his feet. Leaning his cane up against his thigh, the telepath rested his head back on one of the rungs that supports the safety railing around the top of the anti-gravitational disk. He did note that Nam’s expression was unusually neutral, either denoting he was trying to hide how he felt or had trouble actually expressing his feelings. Royd of course would respect his privacy and simply took a shot in the dark, looking to comfort the boy.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure your friend will be all right. He looked quite impressive, I doubt any real harm could come to him at all.” the raven haired man stated and closed his eyes to rest while they awaited the other boy’s return or anyone else’s arrival.
{I’m ok wrapping up here if you want. If we are, I’d request a power level increase.}

Nam’s attention shifted towards the raven haired man, now sitting on the saucer-like craft. It seemed that regardless Nam’s expressionless face, Royd was capable of sensing his emotions. “Y-yeah… I think he’ll be fine too…” the half-saiyan smiled, but his smile was staged, just as he had thought to himself. It wasn’t a real smile, but a smile to keep the awkwardness to a minimal. It was so the raven haired man didn’t start speculating Nam was a dull man.
“I guess all we can do is wait..” Nam sat on the floor, next to Royd. He held the usual lazy posture: his legs dangling randomly infront of him, his back standing up straight with his hands supporting him in the back. The half-saiyan sighed, looking up to the sky, that single strand of hair fringed to his face would slightly dance to the almost unnoticeable breeze.
(I want Zeni xP)
