After several minutes of rest, and once all others had left the lookout -With the exception of zach whom was passed out in a room conveniently and eerily marked with his name above the door-, Kami began to walk into the small building attached to the far end of the lookout. He had asked nam to follow him, and presumably he had. Upon entering the doorway Kami's right arm rose to grab a large staff that had been mounted on the wall, it was the same staff passed down from each Kami, because ultimately a Kami's job was tiring enough that the staff was needed to both regulate energy, and keep the Kami on his feet.
As he continued walking he made his way to yet another alter. The small building they had entered was infinitely wide, and seemed to magically grow in size as they moved through it, and as Kami stepped up to the empty alter, he would wave his hand lightly over it.
Pulling out a small ruby medallion.
Kami turned to nam, assuming he had indeed followed the entire way, and held the medallion out so that nam could take it from him, and as he did so he finally spoke, his voice still raspy and weak from the earlier events, however still harboring the power of a mystic being.
"Nam, you have doubted your powers, and your abilities for far to long, it is time for you to realize your true potential, it is time for you to awaken your powers, and become the fighter that you deserve to be... Keep that Medallion with you for the next 3 days, keep it close to you at all times, and never let it out of your sight. After 3 days return to me with what you have discovered"
This Ambiguous request had been given to Nam, and should he choose to accept it, he would alter his life forever.

Nam had been resting on the edge of the buildings roofed entrance. His body was facing towards the rest of the Lookout, his knees covering his chest and arms wrapped around the as to make his body hang by them. He’d been quiet for these few minutes in which everyone had left and only Kami and he were present in the Lookout. Zach was resting in a room further inside the building. The green man had mentioned some kind of gift he had ready for the young man. Although he was anxious to know what it was, his education was shown through his patience and silent exterior.
Tenshu walked beside him, entering the building. He had told Nam to follow, and so he did. He let go of his knees and pushed against the ground with his palms at each side, while straightening his legs with a short grunt and thus standing up. Nam then turned around and began to follow behind the Namekian. He remained quiet, not saying a word. All he saw was the back of the man’s bald head and his two antennae sticking out from the other side of his head. There were still questions the man hadn’t answered back then, instead he explained the DragonBalls; Nam decided it didn’t matter who he was, his good actions spoke worth a million words and he had an inviting vibe to his life force. –One Nam had never felt before. He was holy, the guardian of earth, and chosen by the Kais apparently –according to Ryota.
Nam watched as the Kami detached a staff from the wall and they soon entered an empty altar. He waved his hands softly on it and then turn facing Nam for the first time in the last few minutes, holding a ruby rock. Nam reached out to receive it as Tenshu began to speak and as his fingers touched the object he began to realize it wasn’t a rock –but a medallion. He finally grabbed it and instantly, his body suddenly dragged him to his knees. He had to think fast and used his right hand, which was holding the red medallion to support him and avoid a fall. He was crouched on his right knee and his left leg was supporting him, his head facing down. What is this force!?
It felt as if everything was suddenly heavier. His clothes just pressed down on his body. He suddenly remembered the presence of the sword on his back, as it began to feel heavier. If it weren’t for the scabbard, it would’ve probably pierced through his body.
"Nam, you have doubted your powers, and your abilities for far too long, it is time for you to realize your true potential, it is time for you to awaken your powers, and become the fighter that you deserve to be... Keep that Medallion with you for the next 3 days, keep it close to you at all times, and never let it out of your sight. After 3 days return to me with what you have discovered"
Nam took a while to answer. He was too busy focusing on staying up. He felt that if he allowed his body to lay, he wouldn’t be getting back up anytime soon. His eyes then widened as he realized something. Tenshu was holding the medallion as if it were nothing. It was hard for Nam to comprehend. The man’s power level was significantly weaker than his own. He checked then and he rechecked now, it was the same result. He began to wonder if the Kami was holding back a significant amount of his power. –or, perhaps, there was some other factor that made him more prepared. It was still shocking, Tenshu was evidently in a much weaker state then he was a few minutes ago, he had to support himself with his staff just to stay afoot.
Nam took a deep breath and began to struggle against the force pushing down on him. “W-what is this thing…?” he managed. He was standing up, but his legs were bent and shaking; his arms were tensed beside him helping, keep him in balance; his head was still facing the ground –he was afraid the attempt of looking up to the green man would’ve set his balance off. Tenshu told him he would discover new things with the medallion, and to return in three days. Nam was willing to go without questions, for he would get all his answers in the three days as he was told. But the fact that all his wares suddenly became heavier, he just had to ask.

Nam's reaction was as could be expected. The Medallion had amazing powers, many of them unknown to Kami, and to be entirely honest the secrets of the Medallion could only truly be known after the trials that it would bring. And that was something that Nam would soon learn for himself.
"That...Is the path to your awakening"
Kami said, leaving Nam's question virtually unanswered. If Kami explained any of the given powers of the Medallion to him, he would be hindering its effectiveness, for the Medallions abilities could only be measured by the experience of the user, and that was Nam.

Nam was left unsatisfied by the man’s explanation. “The path to your awakening" he said. Is that all!? the half-saiyan sighed and nodded silently. “I…” he began, breathing heavily as he finally stood up straight, facing Tenshu. “I will return in three days... as you have requested…”
Nam would have bowed, but he was afraid he’d tip over and fall. Instead he stared intently at the man’s eyes for a few moments and then turned away, storing the medallion in the pockets of his black martial arts pants. From his position, the Kami would see Nam’s brown scabbard, covering a white circle in the center of his black martial arts upper cloth. The symbol on his back was the Kanji character for the Victory School Academy in Mount Paozu, which was currently under Toshio’s guidance. Nam didn’t know this though. He finally began. Every step he took was stiff and heavy, it felt like he wore the weight of the earth over his shoulders. His shirt, his pants, his boots, the sword on his back, it was all pushing down towards him –even though the medallion itself was significantly weightless.
Finally, Nam reached the edge of the Lookout and looked over his shoulder. “See you later… Zach. I’ll become strong –and next time… I’ll win.” The recent events have made Nam completely forget about his quest for vengeance. He had a blond rival, Central City was destroyed and now the whole world was held hostage by some extraterrestrial outsider, and he had a new mission for the next three days –although he didn’t exactly understand what he was supposed to do. Tenshu said, “stay with that medallion no matter what.”
Without further contemplation, the half-saiyan lifted his arms up to his side, aligning his shoulders and simply let his body fall off the edge. The distance was large, and his whole body was under great pressure. It’d be hell if he had to fly down the whole thing, not to mention a waste of energy considering gravity would do all the descending for him.
(I'll take Power Level. Notice I just got my weighted clothing ICly. Will it affect my gains this time? Or next time?)

It had been three days as Kami had requested. Nam was walking lamely towards the main and only building on the polished tiles of the Lookout. He didn’t yell out, he was sure that Tenshu would feel his presence and reveal himself. Nam’s top had been ripped apart, revealing his tan chest and abdominals. He was still wearing his scabbard, which by now he would have forgotten he actually had it. His black martial arts pants and boots were practically the only thing he had left from his most recent battle. He was starting to feel like Zach.
His body still ached: he had been exhausted from the times he had used his Kaioken, which led back to the first day when he left the Lookout and crash landed near Korin’s Tower. He was then assaulted by three powerful demons and the only reason he survived was probably because the shorter one of the three had relieved him of the medallions curse for the spare moments that followed, which led to their destruction. From there on Nam was attacked by countless demons more, without giving his body time to rest and recover properly. He helped out Satan City in its recovery from the sudden debris that had inexplicably fallen on the city and caused some damage to buildings and roads, there didn’t seem to be any human casualties though. Lastly, he was blasted and cut down by that one demon which had the ability to cross-dress from a woman to a man in the form of transformation. Nam would compare it to Touketsuki Yakedo’s transformation, which he had witness through the glass ball with everyone else –three days ago, when he first received the medallion.
At last, the cut he experienced through his left shoulder had closed, but abrupt movements could still easily open his injuries again. His muscles and body was tired and worn out from the strain of using Kaioken so carelessly, but necessarily. His skin was mildly scorched by the Death Ball he encountered. He was beginning to ponder on how to react towards Kami once he had appeared. Should he scold him? Thank him? Or ask questions… The medallion seemed to attract demons for some reason and every time he asked them directly they avoided the question and replied something like, “I want a reason to kill you.” Also, there was the observation that the medallion didn’t seem to affect the short demon when he took it from Nam’s pockets. Aside from all those odd facts, he had been having visions lately.
The most relevant vision was his latest; the one that imaged a blond man with turquoise eyes. Nam couldn’t feel the power emanating from him as it was just a vision. But he could practically see the power; he could feel it in his soul and for some reason, the man he envisioned seemed very familiar to him. Yes, Nam was definitely at a loss for words and would soon have to decide his reaction. Should he be angry? Happy? Confused?
Perhaps Kami would spare him from making such a decision and make the first reaction for him.

Three days was just what Kami needed. Away from training and fighting, drama and destruction. Granted in that time he had begun Zach's training, and met the unorthodox saiyan Antary. It was still clear to Kami that his power was slowly returning to him. He was having a quiet day, meditating atop one of his large watch towers when low and behold Nam came up the side of the lookout. Needless to say he was a sight for sore eyes. But Kami couldnt help but smile seeing as Nam was still alive. Most people could not complete that training and honestly only two students in his history had done so without dying. Nam being the second.
Kami lept down from the tower landing firmly on both feet, even taxing himself to do a somersault or two on the way down, just to show how spry his old bones still were. It had been just long enough after the dragons arrival that Kami was feeling himself once more. This would benefit everyone involved as a healthy Kami could put on more physically taxing trainings.
Nam didnt speak, but just stood there, confused and dazed from the experience he had, holding the medallion dumbfounded. Kami was worried he would collapse if given the opportunity.
Kami knew what was on his mind, He was no mind reader, but Nam likely had the same reaction most did. Because most did not know what had happened, or how to respond to it, so Kami chose rather than explain to Nam what his experiences were like, he would tell him what the medallion does.
"Its nice to see you Nam, I trust the Medallion put you to work"
He said taking the medallion from Nam's tightly clenched hand. It was clear to Kami even then that Nam hadnt wanted to let it go, if only subconsciously.
"You see this Medallion does a few special things. The first is it grants the user vision's into their potential, and often into their future. The second is it provides extreme value that to you or I is symbolic, but to other's is very different. To us this Medallion could represent a power within, or a heavy burden waiting to be lifted. However to others it could be the difference between life and death..."
Kami was referring to the demons who sought after the Medallion. Certainly they were willing to fight to the death for a medallion that to Nam was not that important. As a matter of fact the only reason Nam kept it was because he had been asked to, otherwise it held no value to him.
"Yes but here you are a new man, isnt that right Nam?"
Kami asked with a bright smile, putting his right hand on Nam's shoulder.
Nam would feel a warm feeling, and while I would suggest it was love, it was actually Kami's Healing abilities taking effect, however Nam could recognize it as either one.
"So tell me, what do you feel"

Nam remained quiet, listening to the Kami as he retrieved the medallion. Nam immediately felt relieved and light as a feather. He felt he could jump all the way to the moon without using his ki, but he refrained from trying such silly actions in front of Tenshu. There was something different about the green man, but Nam couldn’t quite put his finger on it. It seemed as if the namekian was getting younger… or rejuvenated; he wasn’t sure what it was but he had a lot more energy than three days ago. The man just jumped down the long towers next to the main building and he didn’t have his staff to support him. He was definitely feeling better.
"You see, this Medallion does a few special things. The first is, it grants the user vision's into their potential, and often into their future. The second is it provides extreme value that to you or I, is symbolic, but to others it is very different. To us this Medallion could represent a power within, or a heavy burden waiting to be lifted. However to others it could be the difference between life and death..."
Nam immediately began to visualize the images he saw in his head throughout the last three days as the Kami mentioned ‘visions into their potential’ and then the demons that chased him along the way with ‘to others it could be the difference between life and death’. Everything seemed to fall in place when Tenshu clarified the medallions function.
"Yes, but here you are a new man, isn’t that right Nam?" he continued, placing his hands over Nam’s shoulder.
Yeah, well… I don’t feel new… Nam thought while lowering his head and closing his eyes. It was true, he realized he was victorious in his recent confrontations, but he still didn’t feel like he improved. He thought he’d actually feel the change, and the fact that he doesn’t was disappointing. Nam always thought he would feel some kind of powerful force around him or a warm feeling –sort of like he was feeling now…
He opened his eyes, and looked up at Kami confused. The feeling he described in his head; how his power would feel. He was now suddenly feeling it throughout his body. He could barely feel his injuries and the scar on his left shoulder felt as if it was never there in the first place. Nam felt the need to place his right hand over it, just to confirm it was still there. He rubbed, and rubbed some more, but he couldn’t feel it.
Nam was now genuinely confused. His head tilted downward to observe his open chest, only to find all his cuts and bruises had disappeared, along with the rest of the strains in his body. He then automatically pictured in his head the moment when Tenshu had appeared for the first time in the Lookout with Zach’s body. He had been wearing a cloak at the time. He remembered the Kami had used similar abilities to heal Zach and save him from the brink of death.
“Thanks…” Nam whispered. Although he could have healed himself whenever he wanted with the senzu bean in his pocket, but Nam was an economist. He always tried to endure the pain and save the bean for that one moment when he’s about to die. He would then rise up higher than before. He didn’t understand why he felt stronger every time he recovered though, maybe it had something to do with his saiyan blood, or perhaps everyone felt the same.
"So tell me, what do you feel" Kami said. Nam wasn’t sure what he should respond. How would he describe it?
“Well… I feel warm… strong and…” Nam stopped there. He realized Kami asked what he was feeling and not how, it made it even harder to describe. “I feel power… and determined… All I think about lately is getting stronger… All I want to ask right now is… What’s next?”
Nam was ready to keep training, he needed to reach Touketsuki’s level as fast as possible, and once that was over; maybe, just maybe, he could return to his normal life. But little did Nam know, his previous life was long gone. This IS his life.
An endless struggle to become the best -because only the best, can protect the world from the worst.

Kami was pleased by Nam's willingness, however could still sense apprehension in his tone, as if he still did not trust himself.
Nam would have to learn to believe in himself before Kami could really teach him. And there was one thing Kami knew to be effective when drawing out the potential of a person. "Come with me"
Kami said quickly turning and walking up the stairs into the lookout. They would pass many rooms, one of which was labeled Nam now, suggesting that he had a permanent place to stay here. and after several turns they came to a small room, one that from the outside appeared to be nothing more than a large closet. However after stepping inside Nam could hear a waterfall, and within moments he could see a large quary of water, being filled by such a waterfall.
Kami continued to walk further, walking on the water in order to get over to a center platform that held a small gourd.
Nam would look around and notice that the door they had entered was not gone, and the water that flowed around them was crystal clear.
Kami spoke once more, his words blending with the mystic river surrounding them.
"Nam there is more for you to see inside of yourself, and here is the place you will do it" He said this lifting the gourd up from the pedestal. He turned to face Nam, who at this point would have had to get over to the platform, and would hand him the gourd.
"This is the holiest water from the realm of the Kaioshin's. It is designed to bring out a warrior's hidden potential, and I believe it is time that you receive it now Nam...Drink from the gourd"

Nam followed Kami into the building, walking up a few stairs. They passed by a passage with various rooms, Nam would quietly follow behind Tenshu. He observed a particular room that had the name ‘Zach’. Nam wondered if his old friend was sleeping inside.
Kami then led him into a closet. Nam was hesitant to enter, seeing as it was a wardrobe. Why would Kami take him inside that? But as the namekian opened the doors to enter, Nam could hear the sound of a waterfall. He walked in and found himself in a large room with a quarry. The half-saiyan stopped at the edge to observe his surroundings, while Kami continued to walk toward the center. The quarry was being filled by the waterfall, Nam wondered how this all fit inside the room.
"Nam, there is more for you to see inside of yourself, and here is the place you will do it" Kami said, picking up a gourd from the pedestal which resided in the middle of the quarry. Nam advanced forward in time to receive the gourd by the time Tenshu had turned around with it in his hands. The water around him was very much real and incredible clear. He stepped up to the platform, his legs were a bit heavier from the water his clothes had sucked in, but it wasn’t much to notice. The water dripped down from his pants and onto the platform, adding to Tenshu’s own puddle of water.
“This is the holiest water from the realm of the Kaioshin's. It is designed to bring out a warrior's hidden potential, and I believe it is time that you receive it now Nam...” Nam reached for the gourd. Kaioshins? he questioned. Nam was aware that ‘Kaio’ meant ‘King of the Worlds’, but did such beings truly exist? “Drink from the gourd" Kami requested.
Nam nodded and slowly removed the tap from the gourd by twisting and pulling it out. He lifted the tip up to his lips and began to drink. He wasn’t sure whether he should drink all or just a little. He would slowly drink until Kami had told him to stop.
At first, Nam didn’t feel anything; but then he felt everything. He felt a warm feeling as the water went down his throat and to his stomach, somewhat like the feeling of some liquor. The warmth would then branch out to the rest of his body and Nam would feel empowered. He closed his eyes, taking in all the feeling. He didn’t only feel more powerful, but he also felt more confident; and that was probably a secondary effect that would come from the feeling of power. This was exactly how he imagined it would feel to become stronger –no, this was better.
Nam felt like he could do anything.

Kami watched as Nam took the gourd an began to drink. Kami would give him no direction as the water would let him know when to stop.
The moment he felt the surge of power would be his indicator to stop, and Kami could do nothing more than smile as name flexed and began to show off the power he had received. Truly now he could understand the potential he held inside, and although this was the hidden energy he possessed, it was by no means his limit. Nam could go much further, and no doubt would.
And then the boy asked a question that only made to prove that his confidence had grown, he asked Kami what was next.
Kami pulled out from inside of his sleeve a small tunic, nearly identical to the one Nam had already been wearing, the difference was it held the insignia for the GSF both on the back in a large circle, and on the right breast. He held it out to Nam for him to accept and said proudly.
"Its time for us to make you officially a member of the Guardians Special Forces. Nam, will you dedicate yourself to the protection and well being of this planet and all of its inhabitants?"

I’m so sorry I forgot again even after you told me xP
Nam was still distracted by his new power. He was in awe, I had all this inside of me? he thought, staring at the palms of his hands before his face. The Kami then began to speak again as he took out a black martial arts tunic and offered Nam to join some special force. Nam didn’t really need to think about it, he had already concluded this on his own.
It felt like it’d had been forever since that last moment, when he left home for the sword school in Central City, only to find his mother murdered by an unnamed saiyan. Following that, the half-saiyan had encountered the pink demon Meishi, which would’ve been the end to him if it weren’t for his quick thinking. Then he met Zach, entered the Intergalactic Tournament, lost to Zach in their second fateful encounter and returned to earth; where he immediately involuntarily joined the struggle against Meishi, the majin. Then he met Antary, he learned the Kaioken, was sent to Korin’s Tower, climbed the tower and found the Lookout, only to discover there was already another threat to the earth, much more powerful than the majin, whom had mysteriously disappeared since then. And now he was standing before Tenshu, with his new power, all thanks to him.
“You know…” he began. “It feels like a lifetime ever since I left home.” The half-saiyan looked at the tunic; it was very similar to his. “If I learned anything about myself throughout that time, it’s…” he returned his gaze to the green man standing before him. “Even if I didn’t join your association, I would still fight to protect the earth no matter what. This is our home, and if I don’t protect it, who will? I could never imagine myself walking past an ally, knowing someone is being mugged and not do anything about it –I will! Martial Arts were just a pass time for me, but soon it became my life without my consent –and it’s okay! …Because I just can’t act like a normal person, I can’t run away. I’d be honor to represent the defenses of this planet, because even if you didn’t ask, I would.”

Kami nodded, although he couldnt smile outwardly as he was avoiding making the sacred ritual seem trivial. His soul was burning with joy at the words Nam spoke. Truly he was the hero Earth needed, and Tenshu knew he had made the right decision.
Holy water was no doubt a powerful object, and so using it was a risky task. But knowing that someone as capable as Nam was standing behind the power he knew that Earth still stood a fighting chance.
"Nam, today is the start of a new life for you. You are no longer a random martial artist walking the streets, you are now a hero for justice, and light"
As Kami said this Nam would feel it, although no change physically had been made by the words, spiritually Nam would feel his confidence burning through him. Kami would have a new problem now, taming the young man's Ego as he found that he was genuinely stronger than everyone he fought.

After hearing Kami’s words, Nam immediately felt something. He didn’t know how to describe it, but it was a warm feeling. And it felt good. Nam wasn’t sure about his life changing; it had already changed, the moment his mother was killed –this just made it official. Hero for justice and light, huh? he thought. The half-saiyan smiled and nodded, receiving the new tunic. Without any more words, Nam turned around and left. He would now focus further on his training to defeat Touketsuki Yakedo –and once he does, he would return to his initial motives and annihilate his mother’s killer.
Exiting the building with his new tunic, the sun shined on Nam’s face and he squint his eyes while covering it with his right hand. The sky was clear and there was still much to do. Nam had to improve his techniques, because power alone would not win the fight. But first, he had to purchase weighted clothing to get the most out of his trainings. He needed to replace the Kami’s Medallion since it was no longer in his possession. In a jolt of energy, the half-saiyan propelled into the sky and curved downward from the edge of the Lookout.
He felt incredible. His power was stronger than he could ever imagine and he didn’t plan on stopping there. He could remember the feeling of Touketsuki’s power, Nam was still a ways to go.
(In this thread I still don't have my weighted clothing ICly, so I assume it wont be counted. I would like PL.)
