As Meredith's pod flew to planet Vegeta, she had time to think about things. What all had happened that day? She had found out her parents weren't really her parents at all. That would explain the awkwardness of the way people treated her back on earth. She would keep this in the back of her mind for later. She had stolen...no, she had taken back her space pod, and was now on the way to, if her memory hadn't failed her, planet Vegeta. What would she find once she got there? She'd heard that there was fighting, many people being killed. Would she be able to find her real parents? Would her real parents have been killed in the fights? Maybe leaving Earth had been the wrong thing to do...
'NO!', she thought to herself. 'I have been quiet and soft for too long. I've felt the power that anger has brought me...it made me feel...alive.' Deep down, she thought 'but is that really the way to do things? should I let my anger control me?' She pushed that thought to the back of her head. She knew this is what she wanted to do. She had to have made the right choices. Her parents...fake parents should have told her from the start. But she'd show them. All she needed to do was become stronger. Harbor her anger, hold on to it, never let it go. Use it.
These thoughts persisted with her until she had reached Vegeta. Her pod landed, a little ways away from a city. She got out, and began walking towards it. Upon arrival, she began looking around. It was so much different from earth, there were other people with tails, and they were all dressed so funny...People kept giving her odd looks. She was unsure why, so she resorted to her usual method of hiding embarrassment, or dealing with pretty much anything else, and looked down. Oh, of course, how stupid she was! She was wearing Earth clothes. No wonder these people were giving her such odd looks. But Earth clothes were all she had. That would have to change. She wanted to get rid of everything Earthly, everything that might remind her of Earth. But that would have to wait until later.
She walked for a while, just looking around, ignoring the weird looks. Everything seemed so interesting to her, she quickly forgot about her Earthly troubles. She didn't know where to start. Maybe getting some Vegetan civilian clothes to start. She walked to what she hoped was a clothes shop. It certainly looked like one. She bought herself some new clothes, and went into a changing room to put them on. 'This is much better,' she thought to herself. 'And now I won't be getting as many weird stares.' Her stomach growled, and she went to find something to eat. She didn't eat a lot, being a small person, and was filled quickly. She counted her zeni, and realised she did not have much left. She still needed to find a place to stay, as she was beginning to get tired. Maybe she could sleep in her pod for the time being. She'd have to move it somewhere else, less conspicuous. She would have to train tomorrow too, if she wanted to get stronger. Maybe she could find a place to train in the city. She hadn't explored much of it. Hopefully it wouldn't cost too much. She'd need a job too, to get some more zeni. But all of this she would have to deal with tomorrow, after some rest.
The next day, Meredith decided to walk around some more, find out where things were. What she was really hoping she'd find was a place to train, or maybe somebody to spar. A little job for some money wouldn't go amiss either. She kept wandering around, wondering what she might find.
