“Computer, forty times gravity!” Drexx felt the added weight and tried to adjust for it, but still dropped to a knee. He forced himself to his feet against the strain of the gravity and his weights. He was getting better at counteracting the gravitational pull and with more and more experience in gravity training Drexx felt his android body adjusting more and more.
Looks like you’re finally getting the hang of this. Tara said materializing next to the android. She had a smirk on her face. Drexx knew why it was there, she had kicked the crap out of him the last time he had trained in the gravity chamber and he knew what she was about to ask.
Care to go another round? She asked, looking up at him with teasing eyes. He laughed and rolled his eyes.
“You kicked my ass last time. We both know what’s going to happen if we go toe-to-toe again.” He fell to his face and began to do push-ups, slowly at first and then faster, quickly pumping out more and more.
Meanie… She pretended to pout and walked over to the console. Out of the corner of his eye Drexx noticed a red light flashing on the corner.
“Tara…? What’s that light?” Drexx asked concerned, he got to his feet and began to walk over to where she was standing.
Dr—exxxxxxxxxxxxxxx--- ru----nnn-. Tara’s form began to flicker in and out, her voice straining and repeating. She looked up scared, and Drexx’s eyes grew wide. He felt a familiar sensation as all of his senses were filled with static. He hit the floor before he knew what was happening.
Once again he woke up in a shadowy world, ash filled the air. The gravity was still enhanced, telling Drexx he was still in the gravity chamber, just like had happened before. This time people were running and screaming, pushing past Drexx and running away. Drexx looked around; they were in a city, Saru city to be exact. Buildings were smoking, holes ripped through them by some unseen force. Drexx stood staring at the crowd’s around them, slowly waiting until they dispersed.
“What they hell am I doing here…?” Drexx walked towards where they had run from, if they were bothering to run from something, it was something that Drexx needed to attend to. Drexx started to sprint towards where the crowd was coming from. He began to notice craters in the ground, though there were no bodies.
A shadowy form whirled out from an alley. It swirled around Drexx in a tornado-like form. Its voice sounded like leaves rustling in the wind, it didn’t have a discernible face, but a mouth appeared in its form as it spoke.
“Why have you come?” It asked as it spun, not causing any harm to Drexx, but Drexx could tell that if wanted to it could. Drexx wasn’t sure how to answer the question, he had been forced here by unseen forces; probably another virus of Benjin’s programming planted unseen into Drexx during the torture and slipping through Drexx into the gravity chamber.
“I don’t know the reason, but if you’re harming those people I’ll put a stop to you.” Drexx assumed a fighting stance, the shadow-tornado creature shifted away from Drexx into the street in front of him. It silently assumed the form of a humanoid, solidifying until it was no longer shadow, but a pale tall Saiyan. He had black hair and black lips. His eyes were surrounded by black eyeliner matching his long black flowing robe. A scythe appeared in his hand, along with a smirk on his face.
“You assume you can stop me? I am become death. I am legion. I am the reaper.” His voice changed from the rustle of leaves to the growl of a wolf.
“You’re death? As in The Death?” Drexx raised an eyebrow, and Death nodded with a sly smile on his face.
“I am Death. You are in my domain. This is my world. You are an intruder.” He raised his scythe and pointed it at Drexx.
“I have been here before.” Drexx stated matter-of-factly. Death looked confused, cocking an eyebrow and titling his head slightly.
“What do you mean?”
“I have been here before. I’m not sure how else to say that. Some-time ago I was transported to a similar realm, it was a virus in the system of my gravity chamber created by my creator Benjin. He made me fight those that I had killed in the past.” Death looked very confused as Drexx told his tale of his previous venture into his realm.
“You are not lying, though I cannot see how this is possible. Though there are more deaths than I, and more afterlives.” Death shrugged, then shook his head and pointed his scythe at Drexx. Drexx took a step back. “You are still an intruder in my realm, and twice-fold at that. I have no choice but to kill you.”
“I would swear that you had other choices than that. Like let me go for one. I mean you no harm and am not here by choice.” Death shook his head looking disappointed.
“There are laws of realms like mine, and I have no choice. I am truly sorry.” With that Death rushed forward, swinging his scythe in an arc and trying to cut Drexx’s head off. Drexx ducked under and tried to kick at Death’s legs. Death seemed to float over Drexx’s attack effortlessly and his scythe nicked Drexx in the shoulder, leaving a small gash. Drexx screamed in pain, fire seeming to spread under his skin.
“My blade is a special type of metal, it doesn’t matter that you are an android, you will still feel pain. For that I apologize as well.” Death spun and came at Drexx spinning in a tornado, the blade of his scythe on the outside. Drexx used his Bukujutsu to propel himself backwards, and launched eye-beams at Death. Death came out of the tornado and caught the blast with the blade of his scythe. The blade glowed red for a moment and then back to a cool silver.
“Your blade can absorb ki as well?” Drexx said unbelieving. Death nodded as well, a frown on his face. He came at Drexx, cutting at his feet as Drexx crab-walked as fast as he could backwards from the slicing blade. He flipped over onto his hands and sprang backwards. He pulled the gun of Black Midas from its holster mid-flip and fired it at Death. Death spun his scythe around and deflected two blasts, but one caught him in the leg. He stumbled and took a step back.
“How… How is that possible?”
“You’re stuck in this program same as Me, I’m sorry but this is not your realm, and you are not truly death.” Drexx had figured out from the moment he set foot in this world that it was Benjin’s making, and that it was just another program created to test his son and most perfect creation. Drexx doubted the testing would ever stop, but he would take each step as they came.
“You lie. I am Death.” It was Drexx’s turn to frown. The programming was convinced it was Death. Drexx had no desire to kill the program, but he found little other options, hopefully he could just disable the program, and that would end it. Drexx charged his creator’s aura and launched it at Death. The black-clad figure dispersed into bats and then reformed, throwing his scythe at Drexx. The Android ducked under it, the scythe barely avoiding his face. When he stood up Death was in front of him. Death gripped him tightly around the arms and waist. His grip was tighter than anything Drexx had ever felt before and cold too, frigid even, causing frost to appear on Drexx arms.
“I’m sorry Drexx.” Death whispered in his ear. Drexx’s functions began to freeze up. He didn’t know how he was going to escape from Death’s cold grip.
