The battle was over. Nam was desperately rushing through the hellish plains looking for survivors. He couldn’t seem to find the child anymore and those other two power signatures had left the planet. The ground opened up beneath him and lava slowly rose to the surface like a wound. His heart was racing. The planet shook violently and roared. The skies were blackened and true fear had been struck onto the saiyan.
The reality, the very real sensation that this place was about to burst into flames was a horrible thing. Nam, once again, couldn’t stop anything at all –and many might view his behavior an anti-heroic or even cowardly. But Nam needed to live, not for his sake, but for the sake of this planet and the people who have died vainly by his master’s hands. He was the only person who knew about the dragon balls, as far as he was concerned, therefore –if anything were to ever return to the state in which it had been, he was the one to gather the mystical balls and call forth Hitoshin to make one perfect wish.
All around there were thunderous growls and rising spikes of land. It was hell on Vegeta, and Nam didn’t even have the chance to witness for himself a civilization of real live saiyans. He bit the bottom of his lip. He would have to leave the people who were left to die, but doing so meant he must not die –he can’t, until he wishes them back. Nam’s escape wasn’t a selfish plea to save his own skin, but the responsible conviction of saving an entire world; and perhaps, reviving this broken down planet would erase whatever vengeful lingering emotions the remaining saiyans like King Boliko might feel towards Earthlings. Hopefully, Earth wouldn’t become the next Kold.
Zach’s idea made sense. There was no trace except his own life which could possibly lead the destruction of Vegeta to the humans, but Nam just couldn’t assume that would be the end of it. Somehow… he could feel it in his soul… somehow the saiyans would realize and then they would attack…
At last, it seemed like fate as the little light which escaped from the frivolous thunderclouds seem to shine upon an abandoned ship which was slowly sinking into the ground. It seemed the Kais didn’t think it wise for the saiyan to do here today either and they blessed him with a ship. The only question now –and he crossed his fingers- did it work?
Luckily, the door was open. Nam entered the machine. It was somewhat dusty, so it didn’t seem like the owner would suddenly come around looking for his ship and then die because someone else took it. No, it was likely that whoever piloted the ship had already been killed by Zach or fell into the molten lava below. Nam knew somewhat how ships function so he was able to get it starting right away, but its tilted condition would not allow for a proper take off.
The saiyan exited the machine and started lifting it from the edge from which it stood and flew towards the sky. The AI did the rest of the work and took advantage of Nam’s boost. Once he felt it take off from his hands, Nam zanzokened back inside and closed the hatch. He looked through the window in case there were any other living beings outside –whether it was a dog or any of living creature, Nam would bring them up like Noah’s Ark before he was out of the atmosphere. But he could slowly feel his power fading.
He had been transformed in this new state for quite some time and his body sustained many injuries. He could die from blood loss or even the shock of pain once he finally reverted back to his base form. Burn marks persisted all over his body. His chest was severely blackened and bruised as it sustained many direct attacks –partly because he couldn’t control his new form in time to evade it. Nam took this time to observe the ship he had come upon.
It was rather large, a bit thrashed but functional and it had some weird machine. Nam asked the AI what it was and he was soon briefed about the Rejuvenation Tank, something he had yet to meet in Vegeta –but he would discover now. The saiyan hesistantly entered the big tube-like structure and watched a glass close up. There was what seemed like a breathing mask inside and he did what any other would’ve done and curiously strapped it on. He gasped, as he was soon emersed within green liquid that surrounded his body.
Suddenly, he could feel his entire body relax and then a sharp pain as his transformation abruptly undid itself. He cringed and clenched his teeth. Tears were drowned under the green liquid. Pain overwhelmed his body and he was knocked out cold.
(I know... shitty ass post, I had no muse. xP)
