The Landing "No no no no! Ahhhh! Son of a!" Ericnox yelled out, the ship rattling as he was pulled in by the heavy gravity of the planet listed on his screen. It wasn't charted, and had only been seen by high powered telescopes. How long had been out? Hours? Days? Weeks? It all seemed like the flashest of moments, a quick breeze before the torrent of winds of a mighty storm. All the readings of this world spelled trouble, everything about it was insane. High levels of radiation, scars of war, and the worst of it, insane gravity. How could any creature live here, much less evolve to survive on a world like this. The pod was heating up, it was easy to tell now he had to bail when he could. The machines in the cockpit stuttered once more, shaking hard as the read outs failed, the circuits giving way to the power of this entry into the world. The last numbers that flashed showed distance from the surface and speed. "OK, OK. I've done worse... Maybe... I got this. I refuse to be killed off by a planet of all things!" Ericnox shouted at the controls. His eyes remained glued to the window as the heavy gravity started to effect him. He could feel it already pulling at his body trying to rend him to the core of the world and crush him under it's power. He would not be taken so easily however, and as the skyline broke, he rolled the dice. Pulling his arms in close, the strain of the world's weight upon him causing his light bones to groan out. His Ki built around his hands. "Do or die!" He shouted, exploding the Ki outwards around him and finishing off the poor space pod. The remains of the ship blasted away from Ericnox, and now the full pressure of the planet was upon him. Gritting his teeth, he knew this world would kill him upon landing if he allowed it. Opening his wings and spreading his arms, he did his best to slow his rapidly approaching meeting with the ground. When the feet towards the solid rock below diminished to detail level, he did the next thing he could think of. Blasting off several beams of energy towards the rocks below, he managed to slow his rapidly vanishing gap down to only a greatly painful landing, over a crippling one. The ground was far more comfortable than he expected... But then again, expecting to die and being able to wake up was almost always a better perk. Slowly rending himself up, he started to assess the overall damage to his form. A few broken ribs, and left ankle was shattered, over all, a decent landing.

In solitude, Rensou Hiruen had trained free of distraction here upon the desolate plains, but today he had brought with him the finest of company; his young offspring. Together they had practiced their strikes and techniques through the morning, and Rensou had been pleased as his child showed improvement in every way on an everyday basis. Tsuken, however, had been mildly annoyed when his father had insisted that they must meditate on their successes and their failures, and in boredom the boy disobeyed the demands of his sire.
Upon the tips of his boots and the palms of his hands, the child had stealthily crept behind Rensou, waiting for the precise moment to strike with all the suddenness and volume he could muster from his developing lungs. The beat of his tiny heart raced as Rensou let loose a sigh, slipping deeper into concentration. It was the moment the troublemaker had been awaiting so patiently for all of half a minute.
"BOO! ! !" he shouted quick and sharp into the ear of his boring old father and his efforts were rewarded by hilarious result. Rensou, deep in his mind and at peace suddenly came to life as his eyes widened and his mouth gasped for air, bounding forward from his crossed legs and tripping over them, falling flat on his face.
"AHAHAHAHA!" Tsuken laughed, doubling over as he submitted to the aching pain in his ribs, beating the ground with one gloved fist and holding his gut with the other. "I got him good," he thought, and he caught hold of himself and lifted his adorable face at his shocked father, who was now a figure of complete and utter seriousness at the interruption he stared at. Tsuken stood, tilting his head as Rensou continued to look directly over him. "'idn't mean ta' scare ya' so good, papa," the youngster exclaimed, his eyes filling with tears for fear Rensou might punish him.
"It's fine, Tsuken," murmured the father as his eyes moved with that which he was watching, a ball of flame that was no meteorite, nay, Rensou had seen many pods enter the Vegetan atmosphere and land at the port, but the one he watched now would not touch down upon any landing pad, and would be damaged beyond repair. The Saiyan activated a scouter upon his ear with a single finger. "Saru Spaceport, this is General Hiruen. Do you read me?"
"Loud and clear, General."
"Are there any emergency landings cleared in the Scorched Plains?"
"Negative, General. Shall we send a response team?"
"I'll handle it," Rensou replied as Tsuken turned to watch the spectacle of the crashing pod easily two thousand or more meters away, and both gasped as a being of a respectable power, 15,000, according to their scouters, blasted away from the crashing vessel. "Tsuken, daddy has to go to work," grinned the warrior as he took to the air, Tsuken close behind, and moved to meet the trespasser.
Ericnox would be entirely aware of the two Saiyans landing in front of him, despite the fact that he was recovering and adjusting to the intense gravity of the planet. Tsuken would bounce up and down with excitement, utterly amazed at the appearance of the man, "papa, he's gotses wings!" Rensou glanced down at his boy and nodded, always mindful of paying respect towards his son before he addressed the winged intruder before him.
"You've violated Vegetan airspace," the older of the two Saiyans would inform the winged alien before him before he continued. "In accordance with our laws, you are to be fined and jailed, and what's left of your vessel will be confiscated."
Tsuken obviously had other ideas as his joyous cries continued, his eyes staring at the intruder with a ferocity that only a Saiyan child could manage. "Ooooooooh~! Lemme fight'em, papa, pwease, lemme fight'im!" Rensou chuckled at the bravery and lust for battle displayed by his son and remembered his own love of combat, and how deeply it stung him to be denied such. With that in mind, the father nodded once again to his child before he offered the newcomer another option.
"Or, if you wish, you could fight my son, and your transgressions upon our planet will be forgiven!"
Tsuken jumped into the air, his eyes tight with happiness as he thrust his balled fist into the air with the victory. "Ooooooooooooooh boy! 'dankies, papa!"
Hopefully the intruder would not disappoint the young boy by opting for jail time and a hefty fine~

When the pair landed in front of him, his eyes opened and he was indeed awestruck. Not only could they move freely in this place, but the children seemed at ease. Forcing himself to his feet, he groaned. Feeling his ankle twist some as he stood up, he pulled in his wings in close.
"Spar against a child or spend time in jail... You can take the remains of my ship." He says, popping his neck and looking to the small child. He was strong for one so young, and like this, he was stronger than Ericnox.
"I will face your child, but I don't think I will be good a partner for him, this world is heavy, so I can't move like I used to." He says, shifting into a fighting stand, his wings pulled in close, his muscles already starting to feel the effort of simple actions.
"I could... Shift... But then it might be too much... Damn it..." He says in his mind, his eyes locked on the small child, ready for the first attack, at least he hoped he was ready for it. His body was nearly to the limit from the gravity of the world, his healing was doing it's best, but it was going to take far, far too much time.
Doing his best to simply remain up right, he slowed down his breath, altering how he was standing there to already start to conserve his energy. What little bit he did have needed to go into staying as alive as possible.
"I'm ready young one... As long as you are..." He says, nodding and preparing himself as much as he could. If this child held back, he had a fighting chance, if he went all out, Eric would need to up his own game as much as he didn't want to.

Rensou stared at the strange creature as he offered the remains of his ship as recompense, and he shook his head from left to right briefly. Perhaps this man had misunderstood him, but his crimes against Vegeta would be completely overlooked if he were to accept the terms of the father and son. “The military will salvage them, of course,†the General informed, metals were a resource hard to come by upon this harsh world, and they were obtained by many different means. Some were as simple as recycling while others were as barbaric as racial genocide.
Tsuken had been standing still in anticipation of the decision the winged one would give, and it finally arrived. Rensou was put off by the lack of confidence in the man, a trait none of his race shared, but that was quickly forgotten now that the trespasser had agreed to make his payment in glorious combat. With his arms stretched behind him to maintain still developing balance, his son's legs became a whirlwind of movement as they propelled his small body to meet his opponent. Some yards away, a cloud of dust engulfed the youngster as he came to a sudden stop and blinked away the red sand before he introduced both he and his father.
“I'm Tsuken,†the youngster chirped, proudly swelling his chest and pointing at himself to be sure the alien understood fully whom exactly he was. The pointing hand was directed backwards to aim his finger at his father. “Dat's Wensou, 'e's mah papa and,†and the boy spread his arm to be sure his opponent fully understood the scope of just how important his sire was, “'da Gen'wul o'da whoooooole Saiyan awmy.[/b]â€
Before the man would ever have a chance the impatient youngster would finish the introductions. “Is nice'ta'mee'cha, Wingy,†and that was that. Henceforth, the man would be referred to as “Wingy†by the boy. Alas, business was over and done with, and it was time for the true fun to begin for Tsuken and “Wingy.â€
Suddenly, the boy grew very serious as he concentrated his energies between two palms at the end of tense and muscled arms. A sliver of energy manifested between the hands, and it sparked chaotically as the child went to work. “Papa tawt me 'dis,†he smiled as his single Tsurunoha sphere finally manifested, a gorgeous orb of compacted purple energy capable of being used like another fist or foot.
The sparkling purple sphere began to revolve around the child as his feet slid apart and his fists were brought upright, just as Rensou had taught him. “Is'sa reawwy gweat toy,†the youngster giggled before he bounded towards Wingy with all the speed and explosive force his considerable power could generate, and before the the young one was within range for his short arm to punch out the orb did the work for him, lashing at Wingy's ribs in a arching blur of purple.
“'dis gonna be fun, Wingy!â€

Ericnox had remained in the defensive Stance the entire time, his eyes locked on the small child. The father had a lot of pull here it seems, a 'General' or what ever that was, seemed to pretty important. To wipe his slate clean if he simply battled with the boy, well it shouldn't be too bad then.
"The honor... Is mine..." Ericnox said, nodding his head to the boy in respect, the gravity was still painful, it wasn't anything like his home world. When the child grew serious, he knew it was on, it was time to do or die in a way.
The ki ball had been a unique sight. So young and he has a mastery over forces like this with utter ease, something it took seemingly forever to gasp and focus himself. The densely compacted energy ball wasn't going be good.
The child burst forward, the attack was even faster than he wanted to accept, doing his best to spring back, but not finding the traction to fully get the away. The strike to his ribs hurt, they would heal, but for now the pain was enough to force him to play his hand. Kicking backwards as hard as he could, he felt the old routine sliding in once more. His eyes were the first to change, shifting to solid gold color.
No doubt the boy would following him, and he only needed a moment to be able to focus into the Golden Heart. Taking to the air wasn't an option, and escape from him would be nearly impossible. Throwing his hand into the air, he quickly gathered some ki, pointing to towards the ground and firing, making a smoke screen of shorts. Three steps to the left, quickly, painfully, he managed to get into a good position.
His ki flared up, more than likely blasting away the dust he kicked up as the feathers in his wings Begin to shift colors, going from the standard white to a solid gold in color, his power rising quickly to lock in a solid 60,000. "You are... A strong child... A good warrior... You have my respect."
The world felt lighter, but he could feel the strain of the world upon his light bones. The empowering of his body took some of the pressure off, but the painful pressure had been lifted for the most part. His breathing had leveled out despite several broken ribs, and placing pressure on his left ankle wasn't as painful as it could be.
"Come at me, show me what you have got, Tsuken, son of General Rensou."

A smile played over the lips of both the present Hiruen as the crack of the sphere against flesh echoed into their keen Saiyan ears. Whilst Tsuken was only aware that his first attack had been a successful strike, Rensou had shattered enough bone under his crushing blows and surging blasts to immediately understand what had occurred, though it puzzled him slightly. The Saiyan General had noted the winged alien appeared uncomfortable and unusually sluggish, but why? The idea that it could be the Vegetan gravity never flashed through his processes, as it was entirely normal to to anyone, Saiyan or not, native to the planet.
Tsuken had thrown a short jab to further pressure the man he had christened “Wingy,” but the opponent was already retreating from an onslaught that was only in the stages of infancy, “w'aaaaw,” moaned the child as the straight punch came up short, but it did not diminish his spirit enough to halt a second revolution of the Tsurunoha sphere as it lashed out again at the same moment Wingy fired off his distraction which erupted in a cloud of dust, and successfully concealed his sidestep.
Rensou smirked as his boy reappeared out of the dust, making a very amateur mistake. The boy was young, but Rensou had drilled it into his head from the day he could understand words to never present your back to the foe. Perhaps excitement had gotten the better of the boy, and Rensou folded his arms over his chest and contented himself to allow his child to make such missteps in practice before he ever put him into an actual combat zone.
The boy skidded to a stop, turning his head from right to left before Wingy called out to him, praised him, and the boy turned to face his opponent with his eyes closed and a hand roughing the spikes jutting from the back of his head. Tsuken had been embarrassed by the compliments, and he blushed lightly. “'dankies, Wingy!” he replied.
Suddenly the twittering of the scouters sounded, and Rensou gasped at the idea that his son was now facing a much stronger opponent as the winged one transformed, his wings glittering gold in the light of the twin Vegetan suns. The new challenge had only reminded Tsuken that he was in a battle, however, and as Wingy invited him to renew their struggle the boy accepted as he crouched and drew his hands behind him, and the revolving Tsurunoha began to spin around the hands as young lungs began to yell.
“Tsu! ! !”
“Wu. . .”
“HAAAAA! ! !”
The beam had been charged rather quickly for the respectable amount of power it put off, and comparatively, it was faster than any Tsuruha fired by any member of the Hiruen clan at that power level. The boy enjoyed the best of both worlds, he had all the melee flourish and precision of his father and the control and brute force his mother had displayed in her energy attacks.
Wingy had asked for Tsuken's best, and the boy answered with enthusiasm.

Ericnox's breathing was getting labored, his body wouldn't be able to handle very much punishment at this rate. When the child laughed, enjoying the compliment, he smiled some. It was a friendly spar, there was no need to go overboard here.
When the child pulled back his hands, starting to charge an attack, Ericnox switched from a defending position, to a more agressive stance, rushing towards the child with focused eyes. He was a lot faster here, but still the gravity of this world was painful. He was going to do something, so now would be the best time.
At fifteen paces from the boy, Ericnox knew what he wanted to do. His foot fall never had a second one after it, his wings opening wide and taking off into the air. Ground combat was not his strong suit. He took off far enough to have one of the suns at his back, opening his wings enough to block it and looking at the child.
"Hold nothing back! Show it all!" Ericnox shouted at the young boy. If he was anything like Eric's people, he tracked Eric's movements all the way up. His eyes starting to adjust to the darker location. When the boy fired, that is when Eric was going to make his move.
His plan was simple. When the beam was fired, Ericnox would use the gravity of the world, letting his wings slack and his ki fade from under him, and that would allow him to fall pretty quickly towards the ground. Once away from the sun, he would have blinded the child for one, maybe two seconds, allowing him to close the gap and with luck, hit him with his Comet's Crash.
If this connected, he would try to knock the boy into the ground, hoping to use the time it takes to get up to allow him the chance to rain a few stars. Nothing grand, but enough to maybe win.

Perhaps the alien had failed to account for a second sun burning brightly behind him, at a distance far enough to keep some of the searing light in the field of vision of the youngster as he followed the movements, and dodged his Tsuruha completely with his free-fall that was an integral piece of his plan. The blocked sun shimmered against the determined coals once the wings had been folded, but the boy was hardly impeded. Tsuken braced himself as Wingy bore down on him with his Comet's Crash, and his purple sphere took up the defensive in front of him.
“Pwetty fast, Wingy~†complimented the child as his opponent closed the distance and leveled a powerful punch towards his face. Tsuken intercepted with his sphere, but his strength was too little for the might of the refined technique in opposition of the flexible nature of his own. Despite the block, the Comet's Crash merely pushed the sphere backwards and hit Tsuken with the purple orb at the end of the fist.
An explosion of light and sound commenced, and the tiny Saiyan was blown backward as his father frowned. Rensou had hoped his boy would be able to overcome the gap in strength, that the skill in battle he had transferred to his offspring through countless hours of labor would decide the fight. It appeared that the alien was the better man, but Rensou knew very well what Tsuken must do. The cunning and unfair fighter wanted his boy to win, and he would skew the balance of power to ensure it.
The winged warrior had unleashed a series of powerful energy attacks.
The boy was in no position to dodge them, and they all congregated to overwhelm him as he took a knee in attempt to rise.
The Saiyan General executed a Zanzoken and appeared in front of his child. Each and every instance of energy slammed into his powerful body, and he fell to a knee and simultaneously lowered his power to present the false pretense that he had been gravely injured by the assault. A few trickles of blood and emerging bruises showed over his body, but his half-closed eyes and panting mouth were an act, one done very poorly.
At the sight of his father on the receiving end of the attack, the son forgot the damage he had received and rushed to his father, standing in front of him defensively with his small body suddenly trembling with fury. “Pa. . .why!?†he spat, his eyes never leaving the man whom had injured his father for a moment. At first the dark eyes had burned with determination, but now they showed all the intent of murder.
“I. . .I don't know, Tsuken,†Rensou replied, letting his weight fall to the ground as he rolled onto his back and released the most pitiful moan he could manage from a mouth that wished to laugh with joy. Luckily, the child would not see the expression of happiness upon his face. Rensou's scouter confirmed his efforts to be a success, the numbers rapidly flashing upon the screen of his scouter as the child set himself to avenge his fallen sire.
“I WANTED TO BE YOU FWIEND, WINGY! ! !
The scouter passed the power put off by the winged alien before it firmly settled upon just over one hundred and thirty thousand units of strength and speed that the young one put to use as he charged Wingy, oblivious to any offensive the opponent whom was now considered hated foe. Once upon him, Tsuken set himself to vengeance as he punched and kicked with all his might, the purple sphere augmenting his attacks with it's own vicious attempts at colliding with and crushing this man whom had “betrayed†the boy.

When the General arrived and blocked the shots, the smoke clearing, Ericnox had realized his mistake. In his haste to atleast prove himself, he slipped into his old actions, the ways of war and not honorable combat. Everything that had happened in the last four years it felt like it took over for that instant and he had betrayed himself more than the boy. The child's power was insane, and he probably won't fare well against such and assault even at his best.
"Forgive me young one..." He spoke softly as the child reached him, not putting up any kind of defense. He robbed the young one of an innocent spar, taking it too far in his own eyes and forcing the father to intercept the attacks.
Each of the hits connected, his guard gone as she slammed into the air by the strikes and soon, falling towards the ground, his eyes closed as crashed upon the rocks, sighing softly and remaining down. Honor would be served one way or the other, be it with his death or simply allowing the child to vent himself of his anger. He wasn't going to defend himself really at all, if the child saw killing him as the acceptable paymen, then he would pay it.

There was a substantial amount of fury enhancing the power the child was wielding, a power derived from the inspiration provided by his father. With selfishness in his heart, Rensou Hiruen had driven his boy to believe that the winged warrior he had been sparring had hurt him whilst he was in the midst of defending his child. With terrible acting, Rensou had played the part of the helpless loved one that had propelled his child onward to victory, but as he stood to watch the effects he felt shame wash over himself. Rensou had robbed his boy of what he had wanted, a fair sparring session, and had pushed his youngster to the point of taking life.
“Tsuken! Stop!†ordered Rensou as he watched his beloved propel the alien into the air with a vicious kick, and he winced as the warrior allowed the boy to do so. It took a great amount of will to allow such a thing to occur without mounting a defense, and Rensou was impressed with the peculiarity of the creature his son had named Wingy. The order had no effect, however, and the boy pounced upon the man whom had only been a player in the cause of his fit – Rensou was the true reason behind it. The attacks of the winged one had hardly hurt the Saiyan, and he did not wish to see such an honorable man die for his dishonorable actions.
As Rensou rushed to intercept his child, the boy stood upon the chest of the thing and smashed downward with his tiny fists in powerful blows. Twice, three times he smashed downward with the audible cracking of flesh backed by bone smashing into similar construction before the Saiyan General tackled his boy off of his former sparring partner turned object of hate and began to assure him that it was over, “It's done, Tsuken! I'm fine! He's out!†The fight was finished, but the boy still struggled against his father. His rage had taken him beyond words, and it took a strike to the head to lull the boy to sleep before peace was restored.
With his child slung over one shoulder, Rensou walked over to the beaten body of the alien, the first man to ever push his prodigy of a child so much that Rensou decided to infuriate him to save his young pride the sting of defeat. The winged one was completely unconscious, or at least appeared to be. Rensou Hiruen nudged him with his boot and spoke out in an effort to confirm his suspicions.
“Are you alright?â€
If Wingy was indeed incapable of caring for himself, Rensou would sling him over his other shoulder before transporting him to a military hospital within Saru city to repair the man in a rejuvenation tank. The General had seen a spark of honor in this man, a surprising amount of willpower, and though he was unaware of the reasoning behind the man enduring the beating of a lifetime, he was entirely sure he would extend an invitation into the ranks of the Saiyan Solar Empire and repay this winged alien as best he could; with a home within Saiyan barracks and servings of Vegetan meat three times daily, as well as a job and a cadre of comrades that rivaled any organization the universe could boast.

The alien warrior was indeed down and out. It took far more will power than he expected of himself t not strike back, to stand with honor and simply accept the punishment that was due to him. He should have known better to shift, on a world like this, he should have accepted the first offer of simply being detained by the general and await the justice system to play out.
Instead, the urge to fight took over, accepting the offer of the match and pushing himself, on a world with more gravity than he was used, to fight a native of the world, to push into the Golden Heart's power and run with it for the time being. That seemed to be his undoing, and in doing so, he nearly damned a child because he lacked the restraint he should have been giving.
When he was in the healing tank, a lot of things would come to light. His bones and muscle tissue had been made much differently than people on this world, being light to allow for winged flight over the heavy and dense bones and muscles of the people native here, who few with ki over anything else. The world he was once on was probably a very low gravity world, nothing more than 1.5gs at it's peak.
Once he was out of the tank, he had been drying himself off, unsure really of the clothing that had been offered to him, but managing to get ahold of his old uniform, which had been washed and dried for him at this point. Getting redressed, he sat down upon a chair, his eyes partly closed and glad he was healed, but still knowing this world had much in store for him, as the gravity alone felt nearly ready to kill him.

Once Ericnox had been healed of the wounds he endured in the fierce battle with the son of General Hiruen, his clothing was returned without conflict. Rensou had informed the military personnel to allow him leave from the facility whenever he wished. That was the least he could do, but it was not all he did. A female recruiter would approach the winged creature and perform the necessaries for an attempted induction into the Saiyan Solar Empire ranks.
If the winged man complied, he would go through a the typical ordeal for a non-Saiyan induction into the fold. A background check was necessary, and it was ensured that his words were true by a polygraph test. The Saiyan woman and doctors would assess his physical health, as well as his fighting capabilities – both in the arts of the physical and energy. The paper work was the most tedious item on the agenda, taking over several hours before it was complete.
Finally, the warrior that the Saiyan people would accept into their ranks for the coming war would receive the mark of the empire : a simple process put into motion by King Koregutsu nearly six years ago. The thing was a simple tattoo, and the universe very much understood what the marking meant. To attack a warrior of the empire was the feel the wrath of the multitudes of tailed Saiyans who proudly wore the same mark.
Ericnox would be presented with the uniform, as well – a simple suit of white Saiyan armor that appeared as if it could never fit him. Once attempted, however, the durable suit of flexible material would stretch comfortably around his shape and to his surprise, the Saiyan tailors had already fitted the armor with the necessary modifications to allow his wings into the ensemble. A single star was present upon the right breastplate, signifying him a private, though it was entirely possible for him to ascend the ladder in a storm if he proved himself so capable.
Three square meals a day, a bunk in Saru city, a squad of comrades willing to defend him at any moment. Glory. Safety. Wondrous conflicts with the other factions throughout the universe that wished to destroy the warrior race and the brothers they inducted into the fold. . .these were the benefits of joining the Saiyan Solar Empire.
If he accepted, his first orders would be to report to the main base at Saru for training.
