Not much time had passed since Amaranth had come to Vegeta. Two days at the most. After meeting with Boliko and his general, Rensou, Amaranth had been offered a place to stay at the castle. She had thought to say no, but had surprised herself as she accepted his offer. As usually, Amaranth had found it hard to deny the man when he turned those eyes on her. So with short work, she had brought a small bag to the room, filled with things to last her only a few days. Floote was on his way, and was already working on purchasing a house and staff for her. After all, Amaranth planned to stay on Vegeta for a while. At least, she hoped to. But the Princess had not had a moment to go out and explore Saru City, for things had piled up quite quickly. Things that needed both Boliko's attention as well as her own. She had not gotten to speak with him about the SSE on Vegeta before, but needed to now.
Which is why she sat in her room, working at the desk she had asked one of the staff to bring. It was not anything fancy, but enough for her to do her work at. Her attire had changed drastically since her last meeting with him. Gone was the fancy dress and the complicated hair style. Instead, she wore clothes of a much simpler kind.
Her legs were clad in dark blue, fitted jeans that hugged her nicely. Black boots with at least three inches of heel adored her feet, the suede material running up to almost her knees. Her shirt was of a dark crimson, the material light and almost flowy. It was a halter top, the back completely cut out. The straps of it were tied in a small bow at her neck, the ends hanging down to brush her bare skin every once in a while. Even her soft blond hair was pulled up in a loose, messy bun, a few strands escaping to hang down. Her legs were crossed and she sat back against the chair. A small, thoughtful frown was on her face, her blue and silver-rimmed eyes staring intently at the words printed there in common language. They were reports from Nor about the SSE, all from the last six or seven months since she had left Nor. Sadly, most of them were complaints.
Amaranth had asked one of the staff to request Boliko's presence in her room about an hour ago. Though at the sneer and rolling of the Saiyan's eyes, Amaranth was sure the message had gotten to Boliko late, if at all. Or maybe...he just doesn't want to come. Maybe he wants nothing more to do with you... Amaranth shook her head, sighing and closing her eyes. Yes... she had doubts about the King. She tried not to, tried to shake off the icy cold fingers of betrayal and hurt when she thought of him. Tried to shove all of her doubts into the back of her mind, especially the more outlandish ones. But sometimes, even that wasn't easy.
Amaranth set the stack of paper down on her desk, dipping her head back and pressing the heels of her hands over her closed eyes. She'd give him another hour. Another hour to join her here, even just for business. One hour before she left this time, convinced he did not wish to see her.
