Tiny Tina has a Quest. (Orenji)

Drexx stepped into the alleyway amid smiling faces. It had been years since he had seen the orphans, and he was excited. He had gotten an urgent summons from the bartender that he had heard sobbing coming from the alley for the past few nights. Drexx made his way to the alley as fast as he could, and he asked his namekian friend Orenji to tag along. When he stepped out into the alleyway Tina ran up and clung to his waist. Tears crowded her eyes. She sobbed into the androids leg. The Protector tussled her hair and bent down to face her.

“What’s wrong Tina?” He asked concernedly, lifting her chin up to look into her eyes. The small android female hadn’t aged a day, a fact Drexx wasn’t surprised about. Androids were immortal and never aged.

“My… My… My locket was stolen.” She sniffled despite not having sinuses. Drexx cocked an eyebrow and looked towards the other orphans. They had all grown; Drexx was surprised by the changes. The ginger-twins had become tall and lanky, well into their teenage years. The amorphous beach-ball boy had gotten taller, and if at all possible, rounder. They all nodded in agreement at Tina’s story.

“Tell me what happened sweetheart.” Drexx sat down on the steps and motioned for Orenji to do the same.

“We… we were out adventuring. We do that a lot now. You taught me to protect and so we all try our best to… It… Went wrong.” The ominous tone in her voice sent chills down the protectors spine.

“We heard of a mutant causing havoc near Central city. He went by the name of Boss Hogg, an anthropomorphic boar. We thought we would be able to take him, but he was so strong… he… he decimated us. He took my locket… the one my mother gave me… It’s all I have left of her…”

She looked pleadingly into Drexx’s eyes and then wept into his shoulder. Drexx held her tightly and turned to face Orenji.

“Up for an adventure? We need to pay this Boss Hogg a visit.”

Orenji had been called upon by Drexx to accompany him to a bar in Central City. Drexx had told Orenji about some Orphans that he had meet years back. Orenji learned about what Drexx had gone through when he first encountered the orphans. Drexx lead Orenji down an alley. Almost immediately after the two entered the alleyway, one of the orphans ran up to Drexx wrapping her arms around him.

"What's wrong Tina?"

"So this is Tina, she was the one Drexx told him about. She is the second android that I have meet, i wonder what happened to make her cry?

“My… My… My locket was stolen.”

Orenji was curious as too who would steal a locket from a bunch of orphans. He looked around to see the other orphans had come out. two tall and lanky ginger haired ones and the one that Drexx had said looked like a beach ball. Orenji leaned up against the wall as Drexx began to talk to Tina. Tina began to explain what happened and who was teh one responsible for taking her locket.


“We… we were out adventuring. We do that a lot now. You taught me to protect and so we all try our best to… It… Went wrong.”

Orenji looked over at Tina, he knew that this story wasn't going to get better. Even though she was an android, and wants to protect people, there is a time and place for everything.

“We heard of a mutant causing havoc near Central city. He went by the name of Boss Hogg, an anthropomorphic boar. We thought we would be able to take him, but he was so strong… he… he decimated us. He took my locket… the one my mother gave me… It’s all I have left of her…”

"Boss Hogg? What kind of a name is that? What kind of person steals things from Orphans? Who ever this Boss Hogg it seems that he has to be taken care of. Maybe their defeat has made them stronger, but I hope they all decide to stay here.[/i]

Orenji looked, Tina was still crying over her lost Locket, this remnant of her mother must have been very important. He took a few steps away from the wall, and began to stretch.

“Up for an adventure? We need to pay this Boss Hogg a visit.”

"Tina where exactly were you when you ran into this Boss Hogg? Tell us and Drexx and I will get your locket back."

Tina stared up at Orenji and told the story, seeming very far away.

“We tracked them as far as the tundra. It was freezing, but living as Orphans we’re used to the elements. We tracked them to the camp Boss Hogg had set up there. At high noon we walked straight into the camp, we opted to confront him with day-light on our side. He certainly was a sight. Standing at over seven feet tall, bristling with muscles his back covered with razor sharp quills. We thought we could negotiate; Boss Hogg was less than accommodating. He attacked first. He charged me first, goring me on his massive tusks.” She pulled her shirt aside showing her shoulder, where a circular patch had been recently adhered. Drexx sucked air between his teeth; it had certainly been a nasty wound.

“Max and Rex were able to take out the bandits he had gathered, Rolland took on Boss Hogg after he displaced me but we stood no chance. We barely got out of there with our lives. Last we saw him, his was still at his camp.”

Drexx turned to Orenji and nodded, lifting into the air. To the Tundra it was. They would find Boss Hogg and right the wrongs committed. That, and get Tina’s locket back. Tina lifted in the air as well, but Drexx shook his head.

“No.”

“You can’t say no. I’ve been training for years to do this job Drexx. Plus I saved your life when we fought my father. You owe me.”

Drexx sighed and nodded, he knew it would be much to Orenji’s chagrin, but she was right. He owed her. And if this was the favor, then he was willing to concede. Drexx began to fly towards the Tundra, Tina close at his heels and Orenji not too far behind.

Orenji listened as Tina explained what happened, he turned to Drexx, waiting for the next move. He knew that Boss Hogg had to be taken care of as soon as possible.

"Don't worry Tina we will get your locket back. Drexx i think it is time we head to teh Tundra."

Orenji slowly lifted off of the ground, following Drexx. They were about to leave the city, when Both Drexx and Orenji noticed Tina begin to lift off the ground. Orenji was about to say something to her, but Drexx confronted her about it first.

"No"

Orenji was glad that Drexx wasn't allowing her to come with us. She had already tried to confront Hogg before, and lost. She needed to know that this wasn't her fight, she was out of her league.

“You can’t say no. I’ve been training for years to do this job Drexx. Plus I saved your life when we fought my father. You owe me.”

Orenji knew by the sounds of her voice, that there was nothing he could do or say to change her mind. Orenji would just make sure that no harm came to her while they were fighting Hogg.

"Well Tina if you are going to accompany us, I would ask that you keep close to either Drexx or I."

Orenji took off towards the Tundra, not far behind Drexx and Tina.

“I will Orenji. I won’t leave Drexx’s side for a moment.” Tina said as they flew along. They quickly made their way out of the limits of Central city and sped through the air towards the tundra. They quickly noticed the change in temperature though the only one who would really even feel the cold would be Orenji.

Drexx scanned for any significant power-levels and was surprised when he finally found Boss Hogg’s. He was much stronger than the android would have thought. He would be a hell of a fight. The trio landed in front of the encampment, devastation still evident from the four orphans fight with Hogg. Two forms appeared in front of the camp, diving in and out of the snow and then vanishing each time. Their power-levels were low; Drexx wasn’t sure who or what they were exactly. He quickly figured it out. They pounced, anthropomorphic Siberian Tigers. As they pounced their power-levels sky rocketed towards near Drexx and Orenji’s own.

One tackled Drexx, the other one going after Orenji. Drexx lost sight of him in the tussle. The Tiger came at him snarling and snapping, his claws digging into the android’s back. Tina kicked the tiger off of him and it twisted around to grab her. It raked its claws along the front of her chest, exposing wires and circuits.

“Tina!” Drexx called out and shot his eye-beams at the creature. The creature backhanded the blasts away and threw Tina away as if she was nothing. She rag-dolled through the air and slammed against the ground then lay still. The creature then roared at Drexx and came at him once more, claws slashing away. The creature tore open Drexx’s shirt, claws leaving long bloody scrapes. Drexx cried out in pain, activating his silver shield out of desperation. The mercury colored liquid metal quickly spread over the android’s body, leaving no inch of him uncovered. The creature snarled as it found its claws having no effect anymore. It closed its fist and slammed it into the silver, but to no avail. Drexx slammed his fist into its face hard, breaking its nose with a sickening pop and sending it spiraling off into the snow. The silver liquid metal retracted into the android’s body.

The Tiger had vanished. Hidden in the snow, and with its power signature suppressed. With a snarl the creature appeared behind the android, tackling him through the snow, and landing on the hard icy surface of the frozen lake Boss Hogg made his base on. The combination of the android's heavy body and his weighted clothing made cracks start to form in the ice.

“Uh oh.” The tiger slammed into Drexx’s back, deepening the cracks. It snarled and grabbed the back of Drexx’s head and slammed in repeatedly into the ice, the cracks thickening, the icy surface weakening.

“Shit.” The ice gave way with a loud crack and the android and the tiger burst through the ice and into the frigid waters. His weighted clothing began to drag him down, but the android quickly corrected himself. Drexx felt his processors slow, and knew his reaction time was going to slow with it. He suspected that the tiger would suffer in the icy depths as well. He was wrong. The Tiger came at him quickly, his massive frame powering him through the water, claws at the ready. It grabbed Drexx around the throat and aimed a bite directly at his jugular. Drexx drew the gun of Black Midas and shoved it under the jaw of the creature. It brought up its legs into Drexx chest and threw itself backwards barely avoiding the powerful blast of the gun.

Drexx fired two more blasts out of the gun, the tiger narrowly avoiding each. It was clear the tiger needed to get to the surface or suffocate. Drexx was conflicted. He could drown the creature, but that would cause it great suffering and the protector was not one to cause creatures suffering. He used his bukujutsu to increase his speed. He grabbed the tiger around the waste and together they burst through the ice. Drexx lay on the ground, the cold setting in and freezing the water to his skin. He felt the joints in his body begin to freeze up. He activated his silver shield, coating his body to prevent the air from getting at it. Within the coat of the silver shield, Drexx began to increase his internal temperatures and melted the ice. The tiger had stopped moving. The android stood up and looked at it, but it was clear it was dead, frozen stiff.

Drexx moved over towards where he had last seen Tina and Orenji, hoping beyond hope they had fared better than he in the battle.

Orenji nodded at Tina as she answered him, the three of them landed in the Tundra. A chill ran through Orenjis body, he had never experienced cold like this. Orenji watched as Drexx appeared to be scanning the area for something. The three of them landed outside the camp, exactly where Tina had been earlier. There was still wreckage from the orphans fight with Boss Hogg. Orenji quickly noticed Boss Hogg’s power signature. The creature was stronger than Orenji had originally thought, this fight was going to take a while, but it was for a good cause. Just then two signatures came up and disappeared quickly, Orenji was confused as to what had just happened.

”What was that?

Just then a creature shot out of the snow and tackled Drexx and Orenji, sending the two tumbling back into the snow. Just before the attack Orenji caught a glimpse of the creature, two anthropomorphic Siberian tigers were attacking them. Orenji had lost sight of Drexx after the attack, the tiger and he tumbled through the snow. The tiger clawed at Orenji, but he was able to cover up his head from the attack. Just as quickly as the tiger attacked it disappeared back into the snow.

”What the hell was that? Get out here!”

”Tina!”

Orenji heard Drexx’s voice, Tina mist have tried to save Drexx and gotten injured. Orenji quickly found Tina’s power signature, since the tiger’s power signature had disappeared. Orenji flew in the direction of Drexx's voice, and saw Tina lying in the snow; she was on the ground claw marks across her chest, exposing circuits and wires. Orenji looked down at her and she looked back at him.

“I tried to help”

”I know just relax everything is going to be alright.”

Orenji began to heal Tina, but was quickly interrupted as the tiger pounced out of the snow digging his claws into Orenji’s back. Then again he disappeared back into the snow; blood began to run down Orenji’s back. A surge of pain coursed through his body, he was going to have to think of something quickly. Seconds after the attack, the tiger attacked again but this time Orenji was ready. Orenji quickly spun around and sucker punched the tiger in the side of the head. The tiger tumbled across the ground, eventually catching himself and charging back at Orenji. With his weights on this was going to be harder than Orenji originally expected.

”Come on, enough of your tricks.”

The tiger launched himself at Orenji, but Orenji used that momentum to throw him several feet away from him and Tina. With the given time he would check on Tina again. The marks weren’t as bad as he thought, but when he tried to heal her. She stopped him.

“I am fine, pay attention or you are going to get yourself killed.” Tina said slapping Orenji across the face, giving him a smile

Orenji just looked back at Tina and said nothing. He knew she was right. As he began to turn around the tiger was already launching out of the snow at Orenji. He put his hands up, and the tiger’s claws sunk their way into Orenji’s forearms. Blood began quickly dripping off of his arms, but he was able to stop the tiger from sending him into the snow. The two of them struggled, neither of them letting up, but each time the tiger applied more pressure, more blood began to seep out of Orenji’s arm. Orenji thought quickly and activated Zenzoken. His after image slowly disappeared from the tiger’s grasp. The tiger was clearly confused as to where Orenji went, but he was right behind him.

Orenji has a small window of opportunity to strike at the tiger. He brought threw all his force into another punch to the tigers head. The tiger looked just in time, to see the Namekian fist smash right into his face. The tiger was launched into the snow, Orenji quickly jumped on top of the tiger throwing punch after punch. Several punches connected with the tigers face, blood began to run down the tigers face as the tiger threw his claws at Orenji. Orenji quickly reared his head back, as the claws slowly passed right by his eyes.

The two tussled through the snow for several minutes, until Orenji went into Great Namek, doubling his size. Orenji was on top of the tiger when the transformation was taking over. Orenji looked down at the tiger as he began frantically slashing Orenji, but it was doing nothing. Orenji threw both of his hands down at the tiger wrapping them around his throat, beginning to squeeze. The tiger sunk his claws into Orenji’s hands. The pain was excruciating, but Orenji ignored it as he began to squeeze harder. He looked down at the tiger as he slowly saw him gasping for air, but there as nothing he could do. Slowly the life began to leave the tigers eyes, Orenji finally let go once the tiger’s hands fell into the snow.

Orenji returned to normal size, claw marks all over his body. He slowly made his way back to Tina; she had gotten up from where she was. She seemed to be looking for Drexx and Orenji, when Orenji had gotten back over to her he collapsed in the snow. His regeneration had begun to heal the claw wounds, but it was going to take some time for him to get back to 100%. Now him and Tina just had to wait for Drexx to return.

“You two okay?” Drexx called out on approach, Orenji responded and Tina nodded. The two looked like hell; Orenji was covered with claw marks from his battle with the tiger. They were healing, but slowly. Wires were still sticking out of Tina’s chest but the wound was superficial. Drexx couldn’t imagine he looked any better, soaking wet with claw marks covering him as well. He stripped off his tattered remains of a shirt and was thankful to not feel the frozen temperatures.

They had obviously been expected, but how? How could Boss Hogg know the team was coming?

“They knew we were coming… How?” Drexx asked turning towards Tina. She looked at her shoes and stuck her hands behind her back looking very guilty. It was clear she wasn’t telling them something.

“Well when we were fleeing I may or may not have told Hogg that we were going to come back but with stronger people…”

“So they did know we were coming, well hopefully that will be the last of the opponents before we fight Hogg himself.” Drexx turned and began walking towards the encampment. At the entrance heads on spikes covered the walls. Drexx’s upper lip twisted into a snarl. Boss Hogg was a bad being, and he quite clearly needed to be stopped.

The trio arrived in front of a large circular tent. An anthropomorphic bull-creature stood guard, a very large axe gripped in his very large hands. He lowered his axe over the door and stood up to his full height. He was massive, his most distinct feature: a nose ring sticking out of his snout.

“Here to see Boss Hogg?” He grunted, and then smiled. He looked Tina up and down and scoffed. “Didn’t you learn the first time?! Boss Hogg is gonna send your ass back the way it came again. Or he may not, last time he let you go. This time he may not be so nice.”

He moved the axe away from the door and motioned for them to enter. Drexx was surprised the bull creature hadn’t attacked them, but perhaps not all of these creatures were mindless beasts.

“Welcome!” Boss Hogg was certainly a sight. He was massive, standing even taller than the bull-creature they had just left. Muscles bulged off his frame, and his back bristled with quills. Scars covered his body, the most notable one a deep cut crossing his left eye, the white iris showing evidence that it no longer worked. His room was impressive as well, better furnished than Drexx would have thought. In the center a giant mahogany desk was covered with papers and charts. A giant arm-chair sat behind it.

“You’re boss hogg?” Drexx asked. Hogg walked over to Drexx and stood in front of him at his full height. He was impressive, and his power-level was impressive as well.

“I have a proposition for you two.” He walked over to the desk and sat down behind it. “I’m having something of a tournament here. Testing my men so to speak. You two enter. You two win, you get to leave here alive and hell I’ll even give you this.” He pulled a chain from around his neck and held up the locket that belonged to Tina. Tina whimpered behind them. Hogg laughed and the laugh quickly turned to squealing.

“Why don’t we just take it?” Drexx asked, falling into a fighting stance. Hogg quickly stood up and smiled.

“Well that would certainly be a lot of fun for me… but I certainly don’t recommend it.” He brought his fingers to his snout and whistled, the smile never leaving his face. Drexx’s senses suddenly picked up more power-levels. Lots more. They were out-numbered and out-maneuvered.
“From the way you dispatched my tigers I can see you’re two competent fighters. I’d love to see how you fare against some of my other men. The offer still stands boys. I suggest you take it.”

Drexx looked at Orenji. It appeared they didn’t have much of a choice. He nodded at Boss Hogg. Hogg brought his fingers back up to his lips and whistled a different whistle than before. The Bull came back into the room a smile.

“You first.” He pointed at Orenji.

Orenji saw Drexx appear in his vision, and responding to his question. Drexx looked just as bad as he did, the two tigers had done a number on the trio, but that wasn't going to stop them. But there was something that was bothering Orenji as he was sure it was bothering Drexx.

“They knew we were coming… How?”

"I was thinking the same thing. there is no way Hogg should know that we are here."

Orenji noticed Drexx look over to Tina who was looking at her shoes and stuck her hands behind her back. Something wasn't right, Tina knew something.

“Well when we were fleeing I may or may not have told Hogg that we were going to come back but with stronger people…”

Orenji heard Drexx say something but it was ignored. Tina had knew information that would have helped and didn't tell them. If this was going to be how this was going to go who knows what else she knew.

"Tina that is something that you should have said to us before we came here. That fight could have gone a different direction, you do know that right."

Orenji was going to continue talking at Tina, but Drexx stopped him. There was nothing they could do about it now, and Hogg was still in the possession of the locket. So the trio entered the camp, eventually coming across a large tent with an anthropomorphic bull creature, holding an ax guarding the door. The bull was massive with a nose ring.

“Here to see Boss Hogg?”

Orenji was in no mood to talk to this creature, so anything he said after that was ignored. Orenji was just looking at the tent waiting for teh creature to let them in. Eventually the bull let them in, Orenji followed Drexx and Tina.

"Welcome"

Orenji looked at the boss, he was much bigger than the other one guarding the door. Muscles bulged off of his body, his back covered with quills. Orenji took note of that, because that was going to be something to look at later. He also noticed a scar over his left eye, no doubt form teh many battles that he has been in. it was going to be a tough fight indeed, but Orenji had no doubt that him and Drexx could take care of him. While Orenji was looking over the creature Drexx had been talking to him.

“I’m having something of a tournament here. Testing my men so to speak. You two enter. You two win, you get to leave here alive and hell I’ll even give you this.”

“Why don’t we just take it?”

"I am going to agree with my friend, there is nothing you can do to stop us. Hogg we are going to get that locket back, so don't make this hard."


“Well that would certainly be a lot of fun for me… but I certainly don’t recommend it.”

Just then Orenji sensed more power signatures, a lot more signatures. Suddenly the trio was outnumbered, so it appeared that they were going to have to do Hogg's tournament after all. Hogg began to talk, when he was finished Orenji looked at Drexx and nodded. Hogg then whistled again and Orenji turned around to see the Bull from before enter the tent.

“You first.”

Orenji turned back around to see Hogg pointing at him. A smile came across Orenji's face. as he once again turned around to face the Bull.

"Well it appears that we are going to have our little fight sooner than i thought. Drexx I will take care of him quickly then we can get that Locket"

Orenji waited fro everyone to make room, then dropped back into a fighting stance.

“Not in here!” Hogg burst out laughing. He stepped into the lead and exited the tent leading them down a winding road that cut through the center of the encampment. Anthropomorphic creatures were everywhere, mammalian, avian, aquatic, reptilian. There were anthropomorphic creatures of practically every species of animal on earth. They were all going about their business leaving the parade alone, but their business all seemed very war-like. They were sharpening weapons and constructing armor. All of it seemed to be in surprisingly good quality as well. Boss Hogg caught Drexx staring and clapped him on the back, more than a hint of pride on his face and in his voice.

“Yes my army is turning out quite nicely. We’re a fearsome group. Someday we’ll rule this damn planet. Fucking humans ruin everything.” He and the bull both spat on the ground when Hogg said the word human. There was no love here for humans, and Drexx wondered where that left him, though quite frankly he didn’t care. These were bad creatures, though he suspected there may be a few in the group who may not be so bad. He always liked to try and find the good in people. There was clearly none in Boss Hogg.

They approached a large pit dug into the ground surrounded by stadium seating and spikes around the edges, a single staircase leading down into the pit. A sign hung above the staircase that read “HellPit” Hogg turned to face them with a flourish and a smile.

“This is where you’ll be competing in my tournament. There will be three rounds for each of you, a different opponent each round. I have to make sure you really want this locket.” He winked at Tina, whose eyes lit up with fire. Drexx held a hand out to keep the small android from attacking Hogg right then and there.

“The final round will bring you both back together to fight a special surprise opponent together. The rules are as follows! No rules. Win or die.” An evil gleam had come into Hogg’s eyes and he turned back to face the pit. The sides and the spikes were covered with gore; clearly this was not a seldom used venue. The seats quickly began to fill with anthropomorphic creatures, word had spread quickly through the camp about the event and no one wanted to miss it.

The Bull walked up from behind the party to the staircase and cracked his neck very loudly. He turned around and smiled at Orenji, whom he knew he was about to fight to the death with.

“You ready bitch?” He asked tauntingly, and with a show of strength leapt over the spikes into the center of the arena, landing with a powerful thud ripping up earth and sending dust flying. Orenji also made his way into the arena, leaving Tina and Drexx alone with Boss Hogg.

“LET THE GAMES BEGIN!” Hogg shouted, much to the amusement of those gathered to watch.

Drexx and Tina sat down as the match began, hoping that Orenji could pull out the victory he needed.

Orenji was ready to fight the Bull, but Hogg stopped them before anything could happen. Hogg got off of his chair, exited the tent and lead all of them through the encampment. Orenji looked around and saw animals of all kinds around the tent working on different things. Orenji was amazed at the army that Hogg was building. He was talking the entire time. but Orenji just ignored him. There was nothing that he could say to get Orenji's attention.

"All of this has to be stopped, I just hope Drexx and I are enough to handle this. Tina made a mistake coming here with us, her revenge might get her in trouble."

Finally Hogg lead the group to a giant pit dug in the ground. It was called the "Hellpit" where all of the fighting was going to take place. Hogg was still talking, and Orenji was still ignoring him. Orenji noticed Drexx hold Tina back form attacking Hogg, he must have said something to offend her. Then the Bull passed by the party smiling at Orenji.

"You ready bitch?" The bull said as he jumped into the pit sending dust and debris into the air.

Orenji made his way into the arena and waited for Boss Hogg to give them the go ahead to fight. Orenji was looking at Hogg when he heard a noise in front of him. The bull was charging at him, ax in hand. Orenji just barley dodged the charge and threw a left hand slamming into the bull's chest.Orenjis fingers cracked at the impact. The punch did nothing, Orenji was shocked that his attack did nothing to hurt the bull.

"Its like punching into a wall."

The bull looked down at Orenji and smirked, bringing his arm back and smashing it into Orenji's chest. Orenji was sent flying back into the wall. Slamming with great force, he coughed up some blood, but it wasn't serious. Orenji peeled himself off of the wall and waited for the bull to charge again. He was right, the Bull ran at Orenji, but this time he jumped over him. the bull ran into the wall with great force, making him dizzy, while blurring his vision. Orenji quickly turned around, jumped in the air and spin kicked him in the side of the head.

The bull slammed into the ground, but got back up only a few seconds later. Orenji tried to attack the bull again, but was stopped by the bull. The Bull grabbed Orenji and spun around throwing him into the wall. Orenji could head his back crack, it wasn't broken but he was in pain. The bull backed up and shoulder checked him into the wall. He coughed up more blood, slowly he fell to the ground. Orenji couldn't match the Bull's strength.

"Well, well it seems like this fight is going to be over sooner then i would like." The bull said picking Orenji up.

Orenji shoved the bull back, but he only took a few steps back. The Bull just smirked as he wound back his ax and sank it into Orenji's left side. The ax went a couple of inches into Orenji's side. Blood was pouring out of Orenji's side, his regeneration was kicking in but one more hit like that and it would be all over. The bull took a few steps back and looked at Hogg.

The fight was incredible, Orenji was clearly a skilled fighter and it was nice to see a brawl with him from a side other than the one fighting. Drexx let a smile appear on his face when Orenji dodged The Bull’s horns, grimacing when his punch did nothing.

“He’s a good fighter that slug friend of yours.” Hogg said looking with interest into the arena his forefinger and thumb curled around his chin. “but I think perhaps my bull is better.” He snorted with laughter as The Bull threw Orenji into the wall with a sickening crack. Drexx stood up and gripped the railing on the side of the arena. They were sitting in Boss Hogg’s raised seating, a throne covered in skulls sat ready to accept the giant Boar to watch the vicious battles take place. The Arena was clearly Boss Hogg’s favorite place to be in the encampment, and it was clear based on the number of those gathered to watch that they had no short supply of combatants. Back in the fight The Bull had the clear advantage, slamming Drexx’s friend into the wall.

Hogg walked up to the railing with Drexx and slammed his hand into the androids shoulder, causing him to lean before he corrected himself.

“I think the fun is just beginning android!” Drexx watched with worried eyes as The Bull picked Orenji up and say something to him. Orenji looked like he was gaining ground when he pushed The Bull back, forcing him to stagger backwards. The Bull grinned as staggered bringing his axe in a wobbly ark and sank it into the side of Drexx’s best friend. Blood pumped out of the side of Orenji. Drexx and Tina both cried out and Hogg had to grip him by the shoulder to force him to stay putt. The android tried to shake it off but the anthropomorphic boar was incredibly physically strong. Two crocodile soldiers restrained Tina.

“Ah ah ah that’s against the rules android. We’re going to sit her and watch. There’s a chance your slug friend can live through that. And if he does, just wait to see what we have in store for you next!”

Drexx gripped the metal rail so hard he began to crush it in his hands. He need his friend to live through this, he didn’t know what he would do if Orenji lost.

Orenji heard the cries of Drexx and Tina in the stands. Orenji refused to look at them. He had to focus on the Bull before he was killed ant it was up to Drexx to finish this. Orenji staggered to his feet and slowly pulled the ax out of his side. Blood began to pour down his leg. His regeneration was slowly healing the wound.

"This is far from over, you have no idea."

Orenji standing straight up now slowly began to take off his weights. He looked at the Bull and smirked, Orenji began to focus all of his power. He slowly began to double in size and mass. Orenji was slowly getting to his full potential, the Bull fighter had no idea what was coming for him now. He looked back at the Bull seeing the reaction of what had just taken place.

"Now lets see how your strength can match this. You were a fool it stepping away from me. We are going to get that locket back, it doesn't belong here. It belongs with TINA!."

The wound on Orenjis side was healing faster now form teh increased power level. The Bull's eyes became infused with rage as he charged forwards. Orenji braced himself and grabbed the bull by the head. Stopping the bull dead in his tracks, Orenji pushed the Bull back. The bull was sent back a couple of feet, but Orenji gave him no time to rest. Orenji shoulder checked teh Bull right into the wall, just like he had done to him earlier.

Orenji took a few steps back and looked as blood came out of the Bull's mouth. He had caused the same pain the he caused him earlier. Orenji just smiled as he grabbed teh bull and threw him across the arena. The Bull landed right next to his ax, which he grabbed as he got to his feet. The bull threw the ax at Orenji, but it did nothing. The ax went right through Orenji as he slowly faded away. The Bull looked around frantically, but Orenji was no where in sight. The Bull took a few steps away from the wall. Orenji then appeared behind the bull. wrapping his arms around him and suplexing him. Orenji quickly got to his feet as the bull staggered to his.

Orenji took a few steps back smirking at the bull. The Bulls rage was getting greater and greater, he had hoped to end this fight with that ax hit. He highly underestimated Orenji's power. The Bull out of rage charged Orenji. Orenji brought his hands to his head activating Solar Flare. A bright light lit up the arena blinding everyone there. The bull stopped his charge in the center of the arena. Orenji ran at the bull activating Ki No Tsurugi. Orenji ran his ki blade right through the Bull's throat, blood running down his body.

“How delightful! Your slug is an excellent fighter, and what a delightful growth-power he has!” Hogg smiled smugly. Drexx was relieved, though he felt bad for The Bull, its body slumped against side of the pit. The crowd was shocked that the Namekian had beaten The Bull an apparent champion of many battles in the arena, Boss Hogg was pitting them against the best of the best in his army. Drexx was delighted that Orenji had won, and new that now it was time for his first round in the tournament.

“You prepared for your first battle android?” Hogg gestured for him to enter the arena as Orenji walked out. Tina called out to him, but Hogg motioned for the guards to restrain her again.

“Ah ah ah. Namekian come stand by me, you’ll be interested to see the fight of your android friend and my friend Min Tys!" A buzzing sound filled the air as a tall green creature flew from the stand and came to rest inside the arena. He was an anthropomorphic praying mantis. His arms were long blades razor sharp. Crystalline wings jutted from his back, his long spindly legs supporting a large lithe body. He was dressed in a long white robe, purple runners down his shoulders. A giant yin-yang symbol was patterned on the center of his robes.

Drexx’s shield and khopesh popped out of his arms and Drexx fell into a fighting stance. Those razor sharp arms were something Drexx would definitely have to watch out for. Hogg raised a hand and let it fall, signaling the start of the competition. Min Tys charged Drexx, wings buzzing adding his speed who struck out with his shield, missing the mantis as it was an after image. A bladed wing cut into Drexx’s shirtless back. The android stumbled forward giving the mantis an advantage.

The creature began waving his bladed arms about in calculated directions and the mantis began muttering in a language Drexx could not understand. He was using magic Drexx realized. A light appeared in between the mantis’ blades, he hurled the blast at Drexx, it caught him by the shoulder and twisted him end over end. He quickly regained his footing and charged back towards the bug. The bug he charged was a distraction. The Khopesh sailed through nothing but air and two more bladed wings sliced into his back, cutting deep and sending him staggering forwards.

Drexx heard Tina cry out as he tripped forward into the wall. The Mantis began to chant, ghost . Drexx righted himself on the wall. Min Tys was a difficult opponent. He was unpredictable, magic and speed in a deadly combo. Drexx brought his shield up just in time to catch the bladed wings, but they disappeared on contact with the shield, nothing more than mere illusion. A buzzing sound behind him alerted him to Min Tys’ presence. The android spun around and swung with his Khopesh, for the first time making contact against the Mantis’ wings. He expected the khopesh to cut right through the Tys’ blades but the Khopesh rebounded with a clang. Tys hissed, throwing the android’s blade off and bringing about his second wing in an arc. Drexx quickly brought his shield up in time and his khopesh sliced through the air and cut Tys’ left wing.

Tys let out a squeal and tried to fly backwards but instead flew in a wobbly arc and collided with the wall. Drexx pressed the advantage and charged, but again the Tys was only an illusion. Drexx turned and a bladed claw was thrust at him. Drexx brought his Khopesh up into the chest of Tys, who spat blood all over the android. The protector’s skin started sizzling. Tys smiled through the blood.

“Enjoy my acidic blood!”

Drexx twisted the Khopesh. Tys groaned and died on his blade. Drexx pushed him off and groaned, his nanites fighting to repair his flesh as the acid burned through it. He made his way to the stairs and up towards Hogg, Orenji and Tina wondering what on Earth could be next for them.

Orenji exited the arena passing Drexx on his way out. He had won his first match, but was disappointed on how it ended. There was no reason for teh creature's death, but Orenji couldn't figure a way out. His rage took control again, something that his mentor told him to work on. Orenji saw the reactions of the crowd when he had won. No on there thought he was going to kill the Bull.

"there is no reason for these fights. Is that all these creatures lives are worth to Hogg. I pity them, for the life that they have chosen."[/i]

Orenji was going to walk off somewhere and meditate to himself, but he heard Hogg's voice off in the distance.

“Ah ah ah. Namekian come stand by me, you’ll be interested to see the fight of your android friend and my friend Min Tys!"

Orenji watched as the tall green creature flew form teh stands and landed in the arena. Orenji walked over and took a seat next to Tina, who was looking up at him smiling.

"Nice job Orenji, good kill!" Tina said slapping him on the back

"It wasn't a good kill, there was no need for his death. It isn't his fault he was thrown in the arena to die."

Tina slowly looked away form Orenji, realizing that she might have said something wrong. Orenji looked over at Hogg who was talking to one of his subordinates. Hogg noticed Orenji starring at him.

"Well slug, that was a great fight, and what a nice little transformation you have. Didn't actually think you were going to live long enough to see your friend fight." Hogg said motioning to the arena.

Orenji and Tina both looked to the arena to see Drexx getting ready to fight the green creature. Orenji decided this would be a good moment to try to focus on healing his wounds before the next fight. Tina looked over and saw him holding his side, where the ax had gone in. Orenji looked down at her and saw fear in her eyes, fear that he might die soon.

"Don't worry about me Tina, I am going to be fine."

Tina smiled and looked back to the arena focusing on Drexx's fight. Orenji wanted to watch his friend fight, but he needed to rest and focus his mind before the next fight took place. Orenji closed his eyes and began to focus and rest. Taking deep breaths, to heal the wound on his side and the wounds oh his back from the tigers. Orenji was sitting there for what seemed like a couple on seconds, but was actually a decent amount of time. His eyes were closed long enough for Drexx to take care of teh green creature.

"Hey wake up ya bum. You missed the whole fight. what were you sleeping?" Tina said as Drexx approached them.

"What a fight, i'm surprised android, that you can actually fight. Sine that ends the first round, you two can take a quick rest. The second round will start in a few minutes, you two better be back or this locket will remain with me."

looking at Drexx and Tina "Since he is allowing us to have a break, I don't know why, but i will take it. I need to find someplace quiet to clear my head.

Orenji walked away from Drexx and Tina and walked through the encampment. It took him a while to find someplace where no one was. Orenji found a spot at the south end of the encampment. He sat down, crossed his legs and began to meditate.

" I don't know how long he is going to give us, but I am going to make sure I enter that arena at 100%. The death of the Bull wasn't needed. I need to make sure to keep my anger in check. The next fight isn't going to end in a kill. I don't care what Boss Hogg said or even what he is going to do. There is no reason for senseless violence and death. Tina needs to learn this as well."[/i]

“Android come talk to me! The large boar put his arm around Drexx’s shoulders and led him away from Tina and Orenji and through the camp. They came to a stop in front of a large elaborate tent.

“I’d like to introduce you to my generals, the two finest members of my entire military.” He brought his hand up to his lips and whistled loudly, a female anthropomorphic spider and a large anthropomorphic gorilla stepped from the tent.

“This is Arachne and T’bok.” Hogg introduced his generals to the android. T’bok nodded a greeting, Arachne smirked and looked him up and down.

“I’m surprised he made it past the first round.” She chuckled and walked back into the tent, clearly not interested in Drexx or getting to know him.

“Arachne will be Orenji’s final opponent, if he makes it past the next round. T’bok here will be yours.”

Drexx looked the muscular gorilla up and down while the gorilla did the same. The gorilla was seven feet tall, with wide shoulders, entire body bristling with muscle. Silver specks dotted the short-fur that covered his body. He smiled a genuine smile after inspecting the android.

“It will be an honor to meet you in combat.” T’bok said finally. Drexx was taken aback by the politeness of the gorilla. It was a refreshing change of pace from the camp full of rude animals. The gorilla returned to his tent leaving a last long look at the android, seemingly trying to convey something with his look. Hogg turned and began walking back towards the arena.

“I thought you were giving us a break between matches.” The android called after the anthropomorphic hog.

“And you’ve had it! Next round begins now, get your namekian friend!” He laughed as he made his way back, the laugh quickly turning to squealing.
