Many Years ago.
Benjin turned and looked at the android, saddened by what he just had to do. The android chocked his head to the side and stared at the old Saiyan in confusion. He didn’t understand what was happening and there was no way Benjin could explain it to him. This was the hardest thing Benjin ever had to do.
“Creator… what…?”
A tear fell from Benjin’s eye and he turned away. The light faded from the android’s eyes and the two alien warriors shut the door, closing Benjin off from his android. Benjin lifted his shaking hand to his mouth to stifle a cry. The lead alien grabbed Benjin roughly by the arm and dragged him through the door and forced him into a chair. The room was lit only by a single overhead light, the rest of the room in total darkness.
“What do you want!? You just took my… android… I have nothing left to offer.” Benjin pleaded, but the alien looked on sternly, his voice not betraying any hint of emotion other than disappointment.
“You have the capability to create these things. We want to know how.” The alien asked. Benjin and his android had crash-landed on this planet weeks ago and this was their first interaction with the military of this planet. They were a harsh people, purple skinned and froglike, the average standing around five foot and bulky, their arms scrapped the ground as they walked, their thin fingers topped with vicious short claws. The most interesting things about this alien people were their large pores on either side of their head, and their cannibalistic nature eating one another to absorb their power.
“Why do you need androids? You have a plentiful military. You are a strong people just let me leave. You’re already taking … one of my androids...” Benjin pleaded again, trying and getting the point across.
The alien gripped Benjin by the hair and slamming him head-first into the table. Benjin’s vision swam and he tried to focus. The alien yelled at him in another language. Benjin just stared straight ahead, saying nothing. He bit into his lip to stop from screaming out. They had just taken his son, and somehow, someday he would see that these aliens paid with their lives. Two other aliens entered the room and lifted him off his feet.
They tortured him for weeks, the same torture that years later he would inflict on Drexx, but being a Saiyan he felt the torture in a completely different way.
The long hair covered Benjin’s vision as the aliens poured water over him to wake him up. He groaned with the constant pain his body was in, the purple frog like aliens not giving up on him giving him their secrets, but Benjin not giving in either.
“Tell us how to make androids!” The leader, Glut roared at Benjin again. Benjin said nothing, just stared straight ahead like he had been doing for weeks.
~~~Now~~~
Drexx stood back from the repairs he had just finished on the gravity chamber since he and Orenji had had their spar and then His and Gerrek’s spar. The old girl needed a lot of work and since Drexx didn’t have to sleep as soon as his body was able he went to work on the repairs. Tara appeared with her arms crossed behind him also inspecting.
Looks good as new. Tara said inspecting the entire place on a level most people wouldn’t be able see. You repaired all the structural damage as well. Good job.
“Being an android has its advantages.” Drexx smiled and laughed. Tara rolled her eyes and the pair headed outside into the bright sunshine. It was a beautiful day; a slight breeze lifted the leaves off the ground and brought them across the lawn in front of Drexx and Tara. Birds chirped and flew past. It was an all-around pleasant day on Earth. That wouldn’t last long. It never did.
Suddenly the birds stop chirping and took flight. Animals scattered and the wind seemed to pick up violently. Drexx and Tara looked up a meteor shooting down from the sky. It crashed with tremendous force onto the lawn in front of them. Drexx and Tara were taken off their feet and thrown through the air by the force of it.
“This type of thing happens entirely too often.” Drexx said shaking the cobwebs out his head. Tara nodded and dissipated, leaving Drexx alone to deal with whatever this turned out to be. He got to his feet and inspected the meteor, and was not a bit surprised to find out it was a space-pod. The door began to open with a hiss.
~Past~
Benjin spat in the face of Glut, as much action as Benjin had taken since his first being captured. Glut smacked Benjin hard across the mouth, causing blood to seep out of the corners of his mouth. Benjin spat the blood at Glut.
“You will talk Saiyan, or we will kill you.” Glut said taking a sharp curved blade off the tray beside him and inspecting it.
“Eat me.” The Saiyan said it as an insult, but Glut smiled a terrible evil smile.
“That is the plan Saiyan.” His voice croaking with pleasure. His neck inflated as he laughed. The alien once again struck Benjin across the face. Benjin finally roared with fury, it was all too much for him to take. Then the wall next to him exploded. Standing there covered in rubble was Drexx.
“What the!?” Glut began to exclaim, but the android was already upon him. He ripped the arms off the creature and stabbed them through him. Glut’s eyes bulged. His soldiers entered the room and Drexx hit them with his eye-beams.
Drexx grabbed Benjin and the two ran out of the building down long corridors and winding staircases. For a space-age civilization the purple frog creatures favored stone-age architecture. They arrived on a launch pad and entered the first space-ship they could find. The frog creatures shot ki blasts out of their mouths at the ship, but to no avail. Benjin powered up the ship and they blasted off. The two left and never looked back.
~Now~
The smoke cleared from the pod and a small purple-frog like creature pulled itself out of the pod to stand before Drexx. It had long gangly cybernetic arms and cybernetic mesh over two holes in its chest.
“Let me guess, you’re an old enemy of either mine or Benjin’s and you’ve tracked me down here to this location to revenge some injury or insult inflicted upon you long ago by one of us. Correct?” Drexx said as if this happened once every week. Which it was starting to look like it had. He still hadn’t fully regained all the memories that Benjin had whipped away, and it seemed like the old man had more than his fair share of enemies in the past. And they seemed to not stop coming after Drexx.
The purple-frog like creature seemed taken aback. He wasn’t sure how to proceed. Its mouth opened and closed dumbly for a few moments before his finally regained his composure.
“This sort of thing happen a lot?” It asked in a confused deep croak. Drexx shrugged.
“You know Benjin. Or at least I assume you did. The man had a knack for pissing people off and making enemies for life. It also appears that even when he thinks he’s killed them, he hasn’t. Oh well right?”
“So let me get this straight…” The frog creature began, trying to paint the picture so that he could better understand it. “This sort of thing happens a lot? Like every day or something?”
“Not every day… but it seems like once a week I get some alien or android crash landing here and just making an absolute mess of the surrounding area and I kill them in a fight to the death, though I try and give them the option of running away or leaving and they always try some last ditch effort to kill me and it just ends badly for them. Then I rebuild and the next asshole shows up. It’s a pain on my lawn.” Drexx motioned to the various other holes.
The frog like creature looked around at all the other holes and then to the small cemetery by Drexx’s small picket fence. It nodded as it counted up the graves. It scratched its massive chin.
“Hmm.” It seemed to be in deep thought.
“Aren’t… aren’t you supposed to have like a speech planned or something?” Drexx asked confused. None of the other aliens had done anything like this.
“To be honest I did have one. It was all full of malice and hatred towards Benjin and yourself, but… I don’t know it just kinda seems pointless now…” It said as if it lost all will to fight.
“I gotta be honest, I have no idea what to do right now. Are we going to fight or…?”
“No, if it’s all the same I think I’ll just go home.” It croaked and began to waddle its way back towards its pod.
Drexx stood flabbergasted. He wasn’t sure what to do. He called after the alien.
“Okay, goodbye!” He waved. The purple-frog turned and waved a small wave goodbye. Tara appeared and stood next to Drexx, watching as the pod took flight and rocketed away from them.
That was by far the strangest thing that’s ever happened at this house. And we’ve had a lot of random alien intruders.
“I don’t know… it was kind of nice to not have to kill something for once. He said watching the ship until it disappeared into the sky.
