*Takes place prior to giving chamber to Jorlaxl.
The lights flickered on in the chamber as the two androids made their way to the center of the room. Drexx had decided that he was going to teach Tina how to properly fight. They had been through enough together for him to realize she needed to learn how to defend herself, and the gravity chamber was the perfect place.
Tara flickered to life over by the control panel. She pressed a few buttons and Drexx felt the gravity shift, Tina fell flat on her face. Drexx chuckled and helped her to her feet.
They had been training together for some time, slowly leading up to fifty times the gravity of Earth. This was Tina’s first time under such a level of gravity but she was a quick adapter.
Fighters take your sides. Tara said, she being the referee of the combat.
Drexx walked over to a corner and turned to face the smaller android. They were both dressed similarly, Black Gis with red trim, Drexx’s being weighted while Tina’s were not.

Drexx and Tina circled each other, neither making a move, studying each other for an opening. Drexx spotted one and dove in, sweeping her leg out from under her. She planted her foot on his chest and flipped him over. He rolled through and turned back to face her, she was already on her feet and advancing, jumping off his knee and kicking him in the face.
He spun to the ground and quickly kip-upped back to his feet. He blocked a punch and a kick and elbowed the smaller android in the face. She stumbled back, but with the stumble came a kick aimed at Drexx’s ribs. He caught the foot and forced her into a backflip, her other leg whipped around and caught the larger android under the chin. The two collided with the ground at the same time.
Drexx burst out laughing, rolling over onto his stomach and hopping to his feet. He assisted Tina to her feet as well.
“You’re getting pretty good. I must be an excellent teacher.”
“You’re also holding back.” Tina said with more than a hint of bitterness in her voice.
“Oh of course I am.” The protector said openly “You’d learn nothing by me just simply beating on you.”
They took a break and sat against the wall. The two androids “breathing” heavily. Tara sat calmly next to them. Tina looked sideways at Drexx and seemed to want to ask him something. He sensed this and cocked his head to face her.
“yes?”
“Do androids have souls? Do we have souls?”
The question caught Drexx by surprise, and he found himself unable to answer. He collected his thoughts and prepared himself to answer her. The lights went out. A high pitched wail began to fill the chamber and before the two androids knew what was happening they blacked out.
Drexx instantly recognized Benjin’s virus shadow realm, but to his surprise Tina was standing next to him.
“Where are we…?” She asked looking around in wonder. No doubt she could still feel the gravity “Are we still in the chamber?”
“It’s one of my father’s viruses…”
They were in a shadowy version of the woods outside Drexx’s house. Drexx walked to the house, but it vanished when he reached for the door.
“Was your father a good guy?”
“Sometimes…” The android said warily, he turned around to face Tina and was surprised to see Orenji standing some distance behind her.
“Orenji? What are you doing here?”
The Namekian said nothing, he simply raised his hand and launched a blast of ki at Drexx, who quickly side-stepped it and looked at his friend with confusion.
“What the hell was that about?!”
It was Tina who gave him the answer.
“That’s not Orenji! Look closely he’s a shadow version!”
Drexx didn’t know why his sensors hadn’t picked up on that. Perhaps it was the virus; perhaps he just had blind faith in his friend. Either way he realized that this Orenji was not his friend.
“Tina get behind me.”
The smaller android quickly flew over and stood behind Drexx. Shadow Benjin appeared as if on cue, standing behind Orenji a familiar smirk on his face.
“Hello again Son. I see you’ve met Orenji, well my version of him at least…”
The shadow Orenji smiled revealing Teeth far sharper than the real Orenji’s, his eyes as well were a different color a deep and bright red.
“You’ve fought Orenji multiple times, I’ve collected the data from your fights here in the chamber and used them to create the perfect shadow Orenji clone. You two have never managed to best each other. That’s going to change today.” Shadow Benjin said with a smirk.
The shadow Orenji took a step forward and fell into his usual fighting stance. Shadow Benjin caught sight of Tina and smiled.
“Oh you have a guest! How did she get here… unless… Of course! She’s an android as well. Oh how novel!” He clasped his hands together and smiled a wide shark like grin.
“Oh how fun! Orenji…. Start with her.”
Orenji charged forward, his eyes locked on Tina. Drexx stood in front of her intently. Orenji threw a punch at Drexx’s jaw, faster than Drexx could react to. Another punch slammed into his stomach and doubled him over.
“You’re going to have to do better than that android.”
Tina jumped off of Drexx’s back and wrapped her legs around Orenji’s neck twisting rapidly and throwing the shadow Namekian away with a hurricanrana. Drexx followed up quickly pouncing on Orenji and punching him repeatedly in the face. The Namekian grabbed his fist and head-butted the android causing him to stumble off. He raised his hands to his face and hit Drexx with a Solar Flare.
“He knows all the moves the real Orenji does.” Drexx heard Benjin’s voice through the blinding light. A solid force hit him in the side of the head and tumbled him over.
“Drexx!” He heard Tina shout, but could see nothing but the blinding whiteness of the after-effect of the Solar Flare. Another strong force smacked into Drexx’s chest.
“Stupid Android.” He head Orenji spit with disgust. Another hard force across his face. Drexx began to regain his eye sight. Orenji was on top of him, another punch hammered its way across his face. Drexx activated his Eye of Horus attack, throwing the Namekian off of him and doing some damage as well.
Drexx rolled over to his stomach and scanned the area for Tina. She was unconscious by the edge of the forest, laying still but her life-functions were normal. He got to his feet and looked around for Orenji . The Namekian landed in a three-point stance and raised his head to glare with fury at the android.
IT was an illusion. Orenji had used zanzoken to appear behind Drexx a charged up ball of ki in his outstretched hands. He launched the wave at the android with malice. Drexx’s uni-beam port opened and fired in the blink of an eye, the two blasts meeting in the center. Each combatant poured their energies into their respective blasts.
“I’m better than you!” Orenji roared over the wind thrown around by the blasts.
“Not like this you’re not!” Drexx roared back.
With a shaking hand Drexx reached down and unclipped his gun, his focus still primarily on Shadow Orenji and their competing blasts. Hand still shaking, he raised the gun at Orenji’s head. The Namekian’s eyes grew wide, then the rest of his body followed suit until he was twice his normal size and four times his normal power. His blast began to over-take Drexx’s
“Die android!” Shadow Orenji roared. Drexx’s power-level shot up as well, the android had activated his berserker drive, the beams regained their evenness. Once again Drexx shakily raised his gun. His beam ended and Orenji’s passed right through him.
“What the?” The shadow Namekian asked confusedly, then he felt the cold metal of Drexx’s gun against his temple.
“I learned that from you old friend.” The android then pulled the trigger. Shadow Benjin snarled and vanished in a puff of smoke. Tina stirred just as the virus program gave way to the real world. The two found themselves in the gravity chamber. Tara appeared and raised an eyebrow.
Benjin again?
Drexx nodded and collapsed onto his face, Tina doing the same and landing on the larger android’s back.
