In the darkest depths of Epoch, the most advanced satellite in the universe, the sound of clicking heels echoed down a hallway as a tall woman named Alexis Makovich made her way past squads of men in white armor. She did not salute them as they had no reason to respect her personally nor she them. She was a loner on the most militaristic place in the universe where the utmost sense of brotherhood was proposed by the upper echelon of the Neejarans, the alien race who ran this station for the moment.
Since the time she had been attacked by two Saiyans on two different occasions in the same day, a one week span had gone by for her. She had been hiding since then due to women being few and far between on the rust bucket she lived on, and because the Neejarans had been alerted to her heroics in killing two Saiyan spies. They had already wanted her in their armed forces for her shooting skills, but the woman had refused and had kept to the lower chambers of the ship.
The commanders of the ship wished to apprehend her and force military service upon her, but if she joined her behavior would make her a poor soldier. They did not wish to kill her, but had no clue how to deal with someone who could apparently suck the blood out of one's body. Their records had divulged only a little on her from a planet called Earth, apparently, where her kind were a fantasy, a fictional type of character that was not meant to exist.
Alexis already knew she did not belong in this kind of environment with sweaty, macho aliens. Unfortunately, the tools she had on hand for her escape were not something she considered useful. The first tool was a broken down ship she had found in the bottom of a space compactor. At best, she calculated that the ship had enough power to get her to the next planet over which was a place called Kanassa. It was ruled by the WTO too and had a low presence of soldiers there to her knowledge. Unfortunately, she knew nothing else about it. Her second tool was a package of two military grade Senzu beans. These were capable of healing the most dangerous wounds, but offered her no way to travel through space. Her final tool was a gravity chamber she had recently bought from the black market again. This tool was her best option for freedom, with its guaranteed train and gain muscle regimen she was almost certain she could get powerful enough to kill the entire army of Epoch Star around. But only if she surpassed her limits by five times her natural strength.
She knew her strongest punches and kis clocked in at 19,000 power. But with that she would only be able to destroy a few rooms in the base before much stronger Neejarans came in and apprehended her. She needed a full training regimen and so she was walking back to her home where she had installed the gravity chamber in the back of her small, cramped compartment complex.

She made her way past a row of two or three building complexes on the ship and came to one with a metal demon skull ornament hanging from a hook over the front door. It was a square, gray metallic building with a space of 300 by 300 square feet that Alexis lived in on the space ship, a micro apartment by all standards, and the best place she could afford at the moment. She walked up to the door and placed her eye over a scanner on the wall to the right of it.
"Recognize... Alexis Makovich, Status: Non-Military, entrance confirmed." a computerized voice stated before the door slid open. Alexis sighed thinking how good would be to be home. The outside areas on Epoch Star had become much more dangerous as of late and she really did not like it. It made her do the one thing she did not want to do almost, and that thing was conquer the entire space station. The authority around the station was crud, the business was bad, and if the food was bad, like she felt it was, no way was she going to continue wanting to live here unless she herself changed the place with her bare hands.

Once the door was open she stepped inside the building to find herself within a room with four white walls and a white floor that were 300 yards across in all directions. In the room, sat a large black iron coffin with her name painted on it in good cursive letter. There was also a small, square iron table with one round, stool chair next to it. On the table, was a white capsule which held her battered space ship and a set of two five pound training weights, barbells to be exact, that she had used after she had escaped five years ago to get where she was today.
She looked at them and "Why am I still training with these hunks of junk? I can crush these in my hands if I wanted to?"
Walking over to them she picked one up and squeezed it into a sphere of twisted metal. Then she did the same with the other one before setting them both on the table again. A smile came over her face and she thought, "I suppose I should throw these out though now..."
She walked to her front door with the iron balls of metal and saw a garbage can across from her home as she opened it. Aiming at it, she threw one ball after the other and both landed within the confines of the can. Her most basic of training with these kinds of "human" weights was not needed. The gravity chambers awaited so she shut the door behind her and looked towards the back of her house.

With her eyes, she could see at the end of her home a single metal door that was heavily padded shut. This was the location of her gravity chamber and it was shut off from her because of the danger such a room possessed to the ill prepared. A single minute within the gravity altered space could easily crush the weakest of persons and cause them to die on the spot. Alexis had never used hers, for fear of how it might hurt her.
She decided to use it today though because she felt she could abnormally strong compared to other beings in the universe. Saiyans, to her knowledge, were quite strong and having just beaten two of them recently outside her own home made her almost feel compelled that she was of a higher quality of fighter than most people around her. She kind of expected she would be since she had died at the age of seven two thousand years ago, nearly suffered that long in the Infinite Fields of Hell, and Hell itself, and had gotten out of all these situations through simple luck.
Being alive, and standing in a small apartment complex on some strange, military space station had never been what she had in mind as a place to seek her revenge and take down the evils of Hell itself, but she found herself liking it here simply because all sorts of aliens could pass through this region of space. The Neejara, who were militaristic had always liked a good fight, and although she did not want to fight for them would not mind beating up a few aliens and such who caused them and more importantly, her, trouble.
Word about her had never really spread about her outside of this military base because she kept herself hidden in the shadows. When the World Trade Organization came and took over the place she kept out of their way too. Being on a battlefield was not where she wanted to be right now, not if it was not with her own people due to what had happened to her prior to her death and resurrection.
The death of all her comrades and her commander Konstantin had been inconceivable to her back on Earth when the vampires had fought for their freedom. Yet now, she understood why. Holy, silver weapons of the gods were not something her kin could stand against. It went against the laws of nature for them and because of this they had suffered from a complete massacre.
Alexis sighed as she clenched her fists and watched them turn a light blue color. She wandered over to the pad locked door and with one hand pulled on it for for the next five minutes until the lock came off. She figured, at the moment, she had the strength to punch through doors if she wanted to, but greater feats of strength, such as taking down whole buildings with her bare hands, would be a task she would need to learn how to do some time.
She smiled as she pulled on the hinge of her unlocked door and was glad she had fed on two decent meals today. As the door swung open, she was greeted by a 100 yard room that was thirty yards across, almost something in the shape of a foot ball field. Stepping inside she looked down the far end and at at the walls to her left and right to find that the entire room, even the floor tiles and roof, were encased in black iron. This was the kind of place she felt like training in. In this environment, as soon as she shut the door to the outside, her eyes would glow and help her find the way in the dark.
After a few moments of taking in the room she turned around and noticed a square button on the back wall of the room. Above it was a glass encased monitor and this, she felt, was how one would go about knowing how much gravity was exerted in the room.

Alexis stared at this monitor for a moment and noticed an odd warning label below it which read, "Warning: Do not train excessively under a gravity room's gravity feature. Said room takes the gravity of your body and applies it x fold on your body. Please remember to check to make sure your machine is registered at factor setting. (x 10) your own gravity."
Alexis note that there was a glowing set of yellow numbers on the monitor and they read, "10gs..."
Smiling she thought to herself, "This machine looks to be in perfect order, I should try and use it if I can."
She looked down the way at the vast distance beyond her current location and thought as she reached her arm out from under her black cloak and pressed the square button to start up her training session, "I'll go for a run I think, that is, if I can handle the weight I'll be under."
No sooner had she said her words a massive amount of force came down on her body and she could feel her heart stop for a moment as her calves shook under a great deal of weight.
"Gr..." she growled as she turned around slowly and quickly found herself in a squatting position. "I cannot move well, but at least I can stand I think."
She wanted to badly go for a run and exert the new energy she had in her body, but figured before that some special training would be needed to get used to the back crushing power she was feeling on her legs. It also seemed like a mob of people was sitting on top of her.
"Think happy thoughts..." she told herself as she slowly pushed herself up into a standing position and relieved the tension on her legs. Alexis decided for right now fifty squats would be a good starting warm up for her, after that she would then run, and finally work on her fighting skills if she had the energy to do that.
Once she was fully standing, the gravity felt a little better. Yet as she started into her first squat she could feel her back begin to bend. She let out a loud gasp of air as her heart began to constrict a little, but pushed through and found herself once again in a squatting position. She would repeat this for the next thirty minutes and in this time attempt and accomplish exactly forty squats. Training under gravity clearly put a strain on how quickly muscles recovered and allowed one to repeat the same measure of exercise over and over again. Fortunately, Alexis thought herself a regular in terms of exercise so the strain was not as bad as she hoped.
Her back definitely killed her though as she sat down under the gravity and found that the lower she sat to the grown the less it tended to hurt. It was standing up that seemed to hurt her badly. She wondered just how bad a six hundred foot run from one end of the chamber to the other could be.

Alexis groaned a tiny bit as she continued sitting under the gravity of her machine. She had sweated and managed to do forty proper push ups in thirty minutes, but thought, "I definitely could do more."
Finding the conviction in herself to move again, she stood up and bent over to touch her toes. For now, it was probably a good idea to run to relieve the tension of her muscles on her upper back. She did not want them to lock up, otherwise, she'd be frozen on the spot and even in more pain than she was feeling. She already was beginning to feel the vertebrate on her back being stretched like a ladder's rungs before she hopped around a few seconds and took off into a light jog towards the other end of her training complex.
Alexis made sure to keep her breathing in an even, rhythmic pace as ran for the next ten minutes towards where the fifty yard mark would have been in her training chamber if she had such a thing. She could feel her lungs constrict with each breath as she inhaled the metallic air of the room. Beads of sweats formed on her thighs, as she ran in her black body armor, and percolated down her legs. She realized as she ran that her big, black cloak was getting in the way of her training as as she rounded back around and returned to her original position in the training room she dropped it near the door.
Alexis took into account how much time she spent running as she put her hands to her knees and thought, "It took me ten minutes to reach the fifty yard line, so I've been running for forty minutes and training for a good seventy." At this point, she could feel her body sway a bit, so she walked over to her machine's control panel and turned off the intense gravity. It was now time to exit, take a shower, and cool off. She would wait a few more hours before attempting to go ahead and increase the gravity on her machine, maybe even a few days since she felt like her bones and muscles were about to snap.
