Once again his training had caused him to end up in the shadowy world of Benjin’s virus. The gravity still weighed against Drexx’s body but he was more than used to training in fifty times earth’s gravity. The air was filled with smoke, and the smell of fires filled his olfactory sensors, though he was sure the gravity chamber was not on fire. He was in a clearing in a forest he didn’t recognize, it seemed old, as if the trees had been there for thousands of years. He heard strange roars coming off from all sides.
Shadow Benjin appeared as he had every time before, smirking down at the android. This was his world, and Drexx was merely a pawn in it. Drexx gave Benjin a curt nod; the shadowy figure flew down towards him and circled around him.
“Son, how nice of you to join us once more.” He smiled and encircled Drexx, studying him as a cat might study a mouse before it pounces.
“Not like I really had a choice, if you ask me this happens far too often.”
“Well it’s a good thing I didn’t ask then isn’t it.”
“What have you got in store for me today?” The android asked, looking back and forth between Benjin and the forest. There was a reason he was where he was. With Benjin’s viruses the scene of battle always mattered.
“Don’t you recognize it? It’s your house! Albeit twenty-million years in the past. See I’ve found a loop-hole in the virus I installed within you, and using it I can bring in anyone you’ve ever interacted with.”
This confused Drexx. Why would they be twenty millions years in the past, surely he had never interacted with any being that have lived then? And if he did… well he just couldn’t see how it was possible.
“Your house is haunted Drexx! See you don’t need to interact with them personally, and though the Ghost inhabiting your house is friendly, he need not be in my reality. He is just as malicious and wanting of your destruction as I am.”
“You know you’re really lucky I can’t get DCF in here.”
“When did you get so sarcastic? It’s an off-putting trait for an android.”
“Let’s just say I’ve evolved since your creation ‘dad’”
Benjin snarled in disgust and waved his hand. The trees parted and a pale skinned man stepped from them. He was no taller than five feet ten inches, his hands in the pockets of his combat overalls. He was bare-chested, small but defined muscles covered his body. Two guns were holstered in holsters on the crook of his arm. Drexx looked from him to Benjin with an eyebrow raised.
“That’s the ghost that lives in my house? He was the one that lived twenty-million years ago? Then I really only have one question… Why does he have pistols?” Ghost looked down at his pistols and shrugged. Benjin also shrugged. Drexx shrugged lastly in the trio of shrugs, he guess it didn’t matter much why the prehistoric spirit had pistols.
“Begin.”
Ghost drew his pistols and fired a quick burst out of each at Drexx, who brought up his shield. The bullets slammed into it with more force than the android would have expected. He looked at the shield and was surprised to find it dented. He didn’t have much time to react however, as Ghost was soon upon him, a flying kick catching the android across the jaw. Drexx stumbled back, and was surprised to find he couldn’t take a step forward.
Then he looked down. Attached to his leg was a large spider. Larger than any that currently existed on Earth. It’s carapace seemed to be more shell than a normal spiders as well, and it’s fangs were securely fastened into the android’s leg. Its leg span was three-feet long, each leg fat and thick. Its body as well was fat and thick, covered with armor. And just like that it was gone. Drexx didn’t even have time to blink before Ghost spun through the air and kicked him in the stomach, sending him sprawling.
“What the hell was that?” The android asked confused. One second the giant prehistoric spider had been there, the next it was gone.
“Our Ghost’s friends powers are of summoning, particularly prehistoric animals.” Benjin said with more glee than Drexx would have like. Clearly Ghost was a powerful entity, how had he not noticed him in his home before?
Drexx stood up using a tree for support, just in time to hear the crashing and creaking of the trees behind him. Something large was coming. Whatever it was let loose a terrible roar, filling the shadow world denizens with fear. Drexx turned in time to see a Tyrannosaurs Rex standing behind him, it bellowed into the shadowy sky, a challenge for all that could hear.
Drexx stood very still against the tree, hoping beyond hope that Jurassic Park hadn’t lied to him. It had. The T-Rex took a large bite out of the tree, the android barely having time to dodge out of the way beforehand. Ghost kicked him in the back, seemingly a fan of kicks, right into the path of the monstrous T-Rex. He trampled the android with its massive bulk, Drexx just barely avoiding being stepped on, but not avoiding being kicked around. And just like that it was gone again.
The android got to his feet flustered. He had never experienced something like this. Someone who could just make things appear, completely flesh and blood, and then disappear just as they came. It was unnerving. It was unnatural. It was completely unfair.
Shadow Benjin let out a course laugh from the sidelines. Drexx shot him a glance, which made him double over with laughter. Ghost was not playing around, a punch clocked Drexx in the jaw and spun his world. Drexx stumbled back, suddenly surrounded on all sides by towers stalks of grass.
“Don’t go in the long grass!” a familiar voice called out.
“You’re not helping Shadow Orenji!” Drexx yelled back. Something rustled the grass all around Drexx. He tried to scan for it, but the thing he was scanning for was unscannable, it was an ancient beast, from a time before scanners and scouters. There was no point of reference.
It pounced. A massive raptor appeared, its claws slicing and digging into Drexx’s flesh, tearing his shirt from him. It went for his jugular, but Drexx managed to get draw his gun in time to blast the things head off. From Ghost’s direction he heard a scream of pain.
He stood and walked out of the long grass, where Ghost stood panting. Clearly the destruction of the velociraptor had hurt him, sweat was beaded across his forehead and he looked nauseas. Drexx looked over at Benjin, who snarled. Wordlessly he raised his gun at Ghost, but a massive tail smacked into him and threw him into a tree. He looked up to see a massive forty foot long crocodile.
“Crikey…”
It hissed at the android and then charged, ramming its bulky body into the tree it had flung Drexx into. He rolled out of the way and punched it in its side. Which had no effect on the crocodile.
“How many of these things do you have?!” Drexx yelled over at Ghost, who responded with a volley of bullets. Drexx brought his shield up and deflected the bullets, the sound of the shield denting even further a surprised to the android. He charged his ki behind his fist and with a massive effort shoryukened the crocodile, flipping its massive bulk onto its back and exposing its soft underbelly. Ghost dismissed it just as Drexx’s eye-beams tore where only moments ago the crocodile had been.
Drexx turned and caught the smaller man’s fist just as he was going for a punch. A look of shock crossed Ghost’s face, and Drexx punched that look right off. The android kicked the ghost away and began charging a ball of ki between his hands. A roar from behind him indicated that another T-Rex was present. He turned and launched the wave at the dinosaur. The beam struck the dinosaur in the chest. Drexx pulled the beam apart in his hands and it sliced through the dinosaur up and down, cutting it in half.
“Buster Beam Slice!”
Ghost roared in pain again, sweat now pouring off his forehead. It was clear he couldn’t take too much more of this torment. Drexx charged, as did Ghost, both men more determined than ever to finish this fight. Drexx’s fist smashed into Ghosts face, sending the smaller man staggering back. It was clear that even with his toned physique, Ghost was not a physical fighter.
Drexx raised his fist, an outline of crackling power encircling it. He poured his ki into it, everything he had, he would use right here right now. Ghost seemed to sense it, and his eyes grew wide with fear. He aimed the fist at Ghost and launched it. Like a rocket it flew, crashing into and then through Ghost. His eyes wide, he slumped to his knees and then toppled to his face. Drexx had won. Shadow Benjin snarled.
“Well I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised. This does appear to be a regular occurrence. Perhaps the real me made you a little too well… no matter. Until next time.”
With that Drexx found himself back in the grav chamber. Tara looked over at him.
“Benjin?”
“He sends his warmest greetings.”

Techniques learned:
Buster Beam Slash: Drexx charges a large ball of ki between his hands and launches it at his target, upon impact, he separates the beams from one to two, taking one in each hand and driving simultaneously upwards and downwards, intending to slice the opponent in half, or at least give them a nasty cut.
Raw Energy Rocket Fist: Drexx charges as much ki as possible into his fist before launching it off of his body and into his opponent. His fist is programmed to return to him after the attack, but a quick enough enemy may be able to hold onto it.
