Toshiro didn’t know where and how long he was trekking for; the Amazonian rainforest seemed to be endless and he didn’t dare fly out of the safety he had with it. He knew if Maruca could, those royal knights could fly and sense energy easily, he’d be busted once he started flying for sure. While maybe he’d end up meeting his teacher a lot sooner if he got himself captured, it seemed plausible seeing as they’d keep him imprisoned for questioning, but on second thought he wasn’t ready for that yet, he didn’t have a plan in mind.
“Whoa, what the hell!?” Toshiro suddenly jumped up into the air and spun around once he felt something’s breath from behind him, he quickly flipped back and landed skidding on the ground as his eyes widened at what he saw. How did he not notice it? It was a giant grizzly bear that could have eaten him seconds ago! “Well at least I don’t need to worry about food for a while…” he tried to look at things positively, despite being grossed out by the bear drooling, damn it must be really hungry.
And willing to work hard for it as well for it to sneak up behind him like that, he wouldn’t have caught on if it wasn’t for his training, if he was just a normal human he would have been this bear’s lunch. The bear suddenly let out a roar and pounced at him in a wild frenzy, forcing Toshiro to take it to the air once again. He eyed a tree behind him and promptly kicked off it to speed past the bear and propel his foot off its back, such exposure gave him the opportunity to counter attack swiftly.
“White Tiger’s Force Palm!” He yelled as he palmed out his right hand and then gripped the wrist with his left hand to better course ki towards it, the execution soon shot out a a burst of wind that hit the bear hard on the back and forced it to collapse on the ground. Toshiro then quickly dived down at high speed and then spun himself around vertically before sticking his leg and braced his heel as he slammed it hard at the top of the bear’s head, to slam its chin hard into the ground too.
“Hah…hah… man what is it made out of…” Toshiro wondered as he landed in front of it, panting heavily. He dealt with giant dinosaurs back in Crater Forest of similar sizes, but this bear was that much of a challenge. Yes he was wearing weighted clothing but with all that weight he still could feel the strain from his heel still throbbing.
The bear’s eyes suddenly snapped open and Toshiro was grabbed by the waist by its claw, was the thing faking it the whole time? Certainly these animals were a lot smarter than the ones on Earth, or it was used to hunting people like him. He tried to struggle but he couldn’t even budge despite try to push himself out with his hands, and man he could almost feel the saliva drawing closer to him. He panicked a little, there wasn’t enough time to think, those hungry eyes of the bear’s, its intentions were set. “White Tiger’s Slash Claw!” Toshiro suddenly yelled as he swiped his hand forward and shot off five sharp arcs of ki at the bear’s eyes, it didn’t matter how big or scary it was, all of these beasts shared such a weakness.
The bear roared in pain and as he thought, its hands went straight to covering its eyes, dropping Toshiro back onto the ground. “All-right, now’s my chance, got to go all out in this strike!” He powered up his green aura once he landed on the ground and then went sprinting around the bear to gather momentum as the bear thrashed around in agony. Suddenly right in front of it, Toshiro leaped up at top speed and landed a fierce uppercut that knocked it up a bit before it lost balance and collapsed on its back. But to his surprise, the bear got back up quickly, he didn’t do enough damage still, looks like he had to kill it.
“Sorry but, I’ll put you out of your misery now.” Toshiro said solemnly, extending his arm out and puts his fingers together. Extending thin nails made of light green ki then grew out like a very long claw, with the ki generated making a light humming noise like a light sabre. “This is the end!” he declared as he leaped up at the bears upper chest and then swung the ki extensions across like an axe. He could hear the cut through the flesh but ignored it as he landed back on the ground.
It was so fast that the head the was still in place, but soon enough gravity made it fall, and that was Toshiro’s cue to finish it off. “Your head’s going to haunt me so you’ll have to forgive me for this too,” He said grimly as he cupped his hands, a light green orb of ki started spinning in between his hands and then grew to a basketball sized ki ball.
“HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!” With a yell, the threw his hands up diagonally to the falling head of the bear’s, which was soon enveloped and consumed by a bright array of destructive light released by Toshiro’s hands. There was nothing left of it but black smoke from the excessive burning that was invoked, and then the whole area about began to darken for some reason.
“Oh no!” Toshiro yelped as he quickly did a dodge roll as the bear’s body fell down, its claw barely missing his leg as it collapsed in a heavy heap with such a thud that dust rose around it. The human coughed as some of it went into his mouth but at least he was safe, he barely managed it but he survived yet again.
