The world of mechanics is a painful and often mind numbing experience in which long hours are spent in making metal into something useful the societies of the universe. It requires a strong body, quick mind, and a little creative to make something move, interact, and obey orders. But these are the simplest of robots in the arsenal of a mechanic. Microwaves, worker bots, factory building machines, and such are the simplest known robots to the year 1806 a point after which the legendary heroes of Earth altered and changed the galaxy.
Today, space flight is easy as seen in battle ships like The Gladiator a battle ship owned by the famous general Rensou, and through technologies such as gravity chambers, and miniature capsules that can hold whole houses without exploding in the palm of one's hand. Life should be easy for everyone and enjoyable, but there are some things that never die. And those things are war machines, androids of the past either kept in their original condition or overhauled for the protection planets like Earth. Their danger now comes from the fact that they can think independently if the creator of the robot wishes them too, they can also interconnect with humans invoking upon this human the status of cyborg.
Many people today voice their protest against robots and had since the very beginning when they slowly began to realize where such creations can take them. This story though is not about an advancing robot, not necessarily, he is an older model, much older model from the year 1175 when robots like Android 16 of the far past were known. Unfortunately, records don't really go back that far, so the focus of today's story Souka Kinonai, or X89, an exterminator robot don't go back that far. The sad thing though is that X89 isn't really around anymore to really give these protestors his thoughts on the matter. He was recently blasted on a distant planet named Kold and killed by a group of Saiyans who had come to decimate the planet. After finding himself more or less dead along with his fellow bio-android C.haos, Souka came into contact with his dead ally Katashi and his old creator Dr. Genjo who had died months ago in an attack by Toshio Katsuo on his lab.
Now with all four dead, and unable to kill each other in the land of the dead all feel uncertain to degrees what they could do with their remaining "spiritual" life force. Only repentance seems to be an option open for them at this point and all feel some degree of disappointment. Yet all is not lost. The strange powers of H.F.I.L and their minds have given them the thought that since they cannot die perhaps increasing their own abilities ten fold can help them escape. The issue with this is how much of a beating are they all willing to take and how long can they take this and come out with their spirits still intact?
C.haos has decided to go ahead and train on his own to increase his physio-mechanical limits while Souka has decided to undergo the classic robot transformation. A full blown operation in which each and everyone of his constructed parts is a ticking time bomb waiting to kill these already dead people! Surely, only chaos can ensue from these activities.
"BONK!" the sound of a three foot long hammer with a giant head slamming against highly condensed metal plating. The hammer's heavy iron head crumpled as it met Souka's leg and the wielder, a teenage boy with red hair and blue eyes back away and dropped the tool as his arms instantly went numb.
"Ow..." Katashi groaned as he fell back on his butt. The thing he had hit was the knee cap of Souka Kinonai, a black haired robot with orange eyes who was standing in H.F.I.L trying to get his primary mechanical components checked.
"Stop playing with my work tools and come over here and find me my impact wrench!" a mechanical voice called out to the young man. He stood up and ran over to the owner of the voice, a silver robot named Dr. Genjo, who bopped him on the head lightly with a metal fist and told him, "I don't know how you repaired Souka in the past, if at all, but my creation is built better than some of the best known cars. You're going to need a wrench with a lot of force to remove the reinforced wheel nuts I have inserted into his chest. But I need you to go do that right away."
The robot handed him a silver air gun from a table of objects he had put up for the operation ahead. This air gun had a large black nozzle at the end and a strange piece circuit like piece sticking out of the bottom of it. Katashi held it in his hands and as he turned and pointed it at Souka he pondered aloud, "Will this really help him out? Isn't removing his chest plate bad cause that's where his primary power source is?"
"No, not necessarily..." the robot said with a sigh as he turned to his creation. All his memory banks are his head and if I isolate a few wires I can reroute power from there to make him not lose what he's got in there. I can then remove some of the useless stuff I put in his central body unit in the past and upgrade his electrical-protoplasmic energy energy to something more likely suitable for him; such as a full nuclear power core."
While the doctor spoke Souka removed a white shirt he was wearing to reveal a large chest plate the covered his power core underneath it. Katashi stepped over to Souka, who stood absolutely still, and pressed the impact wrench against the bolts on his chest. With a loud ka-chunk the wrench he had mechanically removed each bolt as he pressed the tip continuously against them. Soon, the five pound plate Souka was wearing on the front of his body dropped.
Katashi stepped back and smiled at his work before Dr. Genjo pushed him aside and carried a heavy, lead cylindrical container towards Souka. He placed it down at Souka's feet and voiced, "I'm going to open you up like I said and insert the nuclear powered energy core at your feet into your chest. It'll take a while, but I'll need to turn you offline and pull that silly printer I put inside your chest out."
Dr. Genjo tapped a metal box that was two feet across and a foot and a half tall that rested inside Souka's chest with one of his mechanical fingers and thought aloud, "I think this is it, but it looks like I'm going to need a ratching box wrench to remove the smaller bolts out of your body."
He beckoned Katashi who quickly brought him a tool box. His hand instantly went into it and he pulled out a small piece of metal that looked like a needle with a ring on the end. Pressing it against Souka's internal body, he spent the next thirty minutes applying himself to removing the large printing box inside Souka that was screwed down by at least ten different bolts.
When he was done the box tumbled out and cracked open and Souka was forced to stand back as Katashi came forward and blew up the printing device with a single blast of focused ki. Dr. Genjo then grabbed the nuclear power device he had brought with him, lifted it up and inserted it into the extra space. He then tried to retie the loose wires let behind by the printing device into the nuclear drive.
Smiling at his work once he finished it a couple minutes later he picked up his ratching box spanner and re-bolted the loose screws back into Souka's body. He pat X89 on the shoulder and told him, "My lovely creation, I have no doubt in my mind with the power I've put into your body I've increase your power ten fold. The only thing we have to do now is integrate your programming with the manual upgrading I've done for you."
Souka looked at his and asked, "Are you sure this will work?" as Katashi put his chest covering back over his body. The doctor gave him a slight nod and pressed a button underneath his earlobe.
Souka then went into a full power shutdown and the doctor knew he could begin his real work. A long metal slide of five computer chips slid out from the side of his head and Aoi inspected them. He counted five in total which were red, yellow, white, orange, and... the last one was supposed to be blue! Where was that one! Instead of that being there a black one existed in his creation's five primary color coded chips. This was what C.haos was talking about; that sneaky bastard. That blue chip was a vital chip because it kept Souka from being agitated or angry by calming him when his processors overworked themselves.
Aoi tapped each and every one of the chips though sending a spurt of nano-robots onto each circuit sheet. He could not worry about a missing chip now. He needed to see if his nano-robots could reintegrate with Souka's primary systems. All four chips the doctor had made glowed in response to his nano-bots altering each chip's formatting in mere seconds. Unfortunately, the last one caused there to be no response from the nano-bots, in fact, he could see them on his zoom functioning instantly dying the moment they tried to integrate with the system. He sighed and closed up Souka's mainframe and turned him back on.
"You are perfectly fine now Souka..." Dr. Genjo told him as he opened his eyes. "I don't feel like wasting my time trying to see what you can do, so just try and go ahead and test your powers out on your own now. I've enabled all five of your total upgrades to be accessed at any time you choose as long as you fit the requirements for them. You just need to activate them."
Souka blinked for a moment and humbly bowed to the doctor. He hated the man, but the guy had potentially given him access to a great power. Straightening up he asked, "Is your other robot Niu Ya still alive? I wanted to destroy your creations you know and I could not find her."
Dr. Genjo shrugged and said, "I don't know... I was working on her just before I died and she likely escaped, just for now focus on making yourself stronger then go and find my other creations before take over the world or whatever it is you plan to do. I want to hear of or see the fringed chaos you wish to control from the people you kill eventually." Dr. Genjo smiled and Souka walked off feeling a strange tingling sensation as his new nuclear core came online. He intended to change the world of technology as he knew it and had just now gained the highest level of capable human engineering in his body.

This tale continues off from this point with a very big hammer.
