Bio:
Reven was born to a female saiyan and a human father. His mother, Raven was a former super elite who left her planet conquering career after falling in love with a human named Hiro. Reven's father, Hiro is an average human that is a mangka(A person who writes and draws manga) who created a very popular manga called A Fighter's Life under the pen name, Tensai Mibu. What makes the manga so great is that the battles in are very realistic, fast paced and mesmerizing, while including a good number of gag jokes between fight. Because of these fights, a good number of manga readers were inspired to learn martial arts and to control their ki.
Hiro and Raven met when Hiro was an 18 year old college student and he just happened to be near by when Raven's pod crashed landed. Raven herself was 25 years old at the time and had just narrowly escaped from a surprise attack from some of the more powerful locals of a planet she tried to conquer. She was heavily injured from the battle and her ship was damaged from a ki blast from one of the locals. The ki blast damaged the navigation computer and sent her to Earth instead of the planet Vegeta.
Being the good Samaritan that he was, Hiro pulled the injured woman from the pod and took her back to his place having no idea how dangerous she was. When Raven woke up, she found herself in a bed located in a college dorm with her wounds wrapped in bandages. As for Hiro, he was working on a research paper on how Gohan's book changed the martial arts world. Despite the fact that Raven was still injured, she was still able to kill the average human like a bug. Having no idea where she was, she "asked" Hiro where she was and why he brought her here while aiming a ki blast at him for extra intensive to tell the truth. Hiro told her that she was on Earth and that he helped her since she was in trouble.
Since Earth was able to fend off against the World Trade Organization when martial arts changed, she figured that it would be best not to let her presence known and stay on Earth as her wound heal. Since she believed that Hiro had good intentions, she figured that he was the only human she could trusted, so using her persuasive "charm", she got Hiro to let her stay in his dorm room while keeping her whereabouts a secret. Since there was little to do but talk, Raven learned that Hiro a deep fascination in martial arts and that he had tried it once only to discover that he had little to no talent. She also learned that he was good a drawing.
Some of the conversations she had with Hiro about martial arts inspired Raven to travel the world and fight against some of these people. Since she knew very little about Earth customs. she asked Hiro to drop out of college and come with her, and Hiro agreed to come on the condition that she didn't kill her opponents. For the next 2 years, Raven and Hiro traveled the world and saw some pretty interesting place and meet interesting people. Raven fought against whatever opponent she could find and while she won a majority of her battle, she lost a few of them too. She also picked up some new abilities like the ability to sense energy and conceal her own.
As the two traveled, they slowly fell for each other and by the time she was 27, she discovered that she was pregnant. This of course halted their world tour and they found a small place in Central City and since Raven had no job skills, Hiro found himself working as an assistant for several manka in the city in order to support Raven and himself. On his spare time, Hiro worked on manga of his own that he wanted to submit to Shonen Jump that was based off the adventures he had with Raven. The main protagonist was a strong female who traveled with this weak male nerd that had a lot of information on martial arts. He called this manga A Fighter's Life. About a month before the baby was expected to be born, Hiro's manga got serialized.
In the month of May, Raven gave birth to a baby boy she named Reven, after her grandfather. Since Hiro was busy with his manga, Raven took care of the boy with the best of her ability. After all, saiyan children were rarely raised by their parents. She found the whole settling down thing soul crushing. Sure they had a bigger apartment when they first settled, but her saiyan blood craved conflict and she missed the exciting adventures she had with Hiro. When Reven was 5, Hiro asked Raven's hand in marriage, something the two have been thinking about for a while, but never could since Hiro was so busy. Raven said yes, but on the day of the wedding Raven was nowhere to be seen.
When Hiro and Reven got home, Hiro found a note in Raven's hand writing that said "Sorry" with a few tear drop stains. When Reven asked when mommy was coming home, Hiro told his son something he will never forget, she's not coming back. Since Reven already started school, Hiro didn't have to worry about keeping track of his son on the week days. On the weekends, he usually left Reven with his neighbor who had a boy around Reven's age. The boy's name was Erik and the two got along well to the point where some often thought they were brothers since they always hang around each other.
Erik was rather popular amongst his peers and people payed more attention to him than Reven since Reven was mild mannered. But Erik knew something that the others did and that was whenever he and Reven fought each other for fun, something changed in Reven. Instead of being his usual mild mannered self, he was more competitive, confrontational and confident. And the victor was always Reven since not only did his saiyan blood make him stronger than the average human, he had a fighting instinct that would make any saiyan proudly say that that's their son. Because of this, he felt that it was his job to bring out his best friend's potential. When Reven turned 14, he entered high school and like all students at his school, he was required to join a club or sport.
Since Erik knew what Reven was truly capable of, he convinced Reven to join the martial arts team telling him that it would not only put hair on his chest, but also catch the attention of the ladies. He even promised to join with him to seal the deal. Reven agreed to join and as a freshman he was required to fight against the team captain and Reven was the first one chosen. When Reven heard his name called, his blood boiled in excitement as he couldn't wait to fight this strong guy. It was a very odd sensation for Reven since he had never felt this way before. But then again, he didn't consider the possibility that the only person he fought was Erik and he had always known that he stronger than him.
When the fight started, Reven made the first move with a quick blow to the stomach that knocked out the team captain. To the others, Reven's movements appeared to be a blur and everybody was shocked except Erik, who had a smirk on his face ever since Reven's name was first called. However, this caught the attention of the coach, Mr. Clark who could see that the boy had potential since Mr. Clark himself was a martial artist that trained at the new Turtle School. Since Reven knocked out the team captain with one blow, he developed a reputation of being the strongest man in the school, which gathered unwanted attention from the bullies.
When it came down to training, Mr. Clark trained Reven personally often sparing against the new member in order to push his limits. Even though Reven lost against all of his spar, he kept getting stronger and stronger. However despite being the strongest member on the team, freshmen weren't allowed to compete. When Hiro learned that his son joined the club, he decided to tell Reven something he should have along time ago. When Reven got home from school one day, his father told Reven to have a seat with a serious look on his face. Thinking that he was going to give him the "talk", Reven told his father that he already knew how babies were made. But his father told him that it wasn't about that and proceeded to tell him that his mother was actually an alien called a saiyan and that they were a race of powerful warriors.
As Reven though back on his mother, the images of her were a bit fuzzy, but he definitely remembered his mother having a tail. He would then tell Reven that despite the fact that he wasn't born with a tail, his saiyan blood makes him stronger than most humans and gives him a need to seek out conflict. Something he told Reven that he believed why his mother left them and that he should learn to not let that feeling dictate his life and find a healthy balance. Despite the fact that he knew the urge to seek out battle probably caused his mother to leave, he still couldn't help but find fighting a powerful opponent exciting.
During the halfway point of his freshman year, Mr. Clark started teaching Reven how to manipulate his ki so that he could use it in battle. Like most saiyans, Reven had little to no problem learning how to control his ki and he even taught Reven how to use energy attacks on the condition that he would never use one on a fellow student. Now Reven is 15 years old and is now a sophomore in high school. And even though he is more confident, he is still mild mannered when he's not in a fight.
