Out in the middle of the Yunzabit heights, on a random mountain, that just happened to be tall enough, and close enough to give a good view of Satan City. There was a man with a telescope, one that was usually seen for looking at the stars. This one, however, was pointed quite a distance lower, in the direction of a outdoor hot spring.
"Let's see if the money for this little fun toy was worth it," he went about to work on zooming in on the hot spring. Focusing the lens so that he could get a clear vision of what was going on. When it finally aligned properly, he chuckled quietly, he was such a genius. This way no one would be able to find him, and he could spy as much as he wanted, it was the perfect plan.
It was a good thing that he found this little telescope when he did, it was tiresome always flying into the city. Plus, this could be a fun place to just have a picnic at some point, the surroundings were pretty nice to look at as well. It was days like this that he enjoyed the most, he could stay here for hours enjoying the scenery. (Blargh, apologies for the crappiness)

He couldn't help himself. The fever of death had rushed into him and demanded to be satisfied. Geurin had only intended to show up and invite the hermit to his super dome. Unfortunately for both of them the Hermit had quite a mouth on him, spewing counters to Geurin's indoctrination, and swearing against his government. Threats that normally would have washed off of Geurin like nothing, set him off this time. His body was a tool for the purest of evil and he let loose.
What he did exactly is a mystery even to him, however the walls blew out as did the ceiling, blood shot out of the building as though the man had exploded from within, and Geurin took off, his own instability had brought him confusion. His face masked with a sturdy hood, the blood of the Turtle hermit on his cloak.
He appeared
He had been searching for a student, and yet the only one he could find was Maverick...the others had been at the dojo. He was the only member of the Turtle clan that was alive, and his energy signature was picked up on almost immediately. Geurin with lightning accuracy transmitted behind the young man. If Maverick could sense energy, then he would feel the creatures overwhelming power behind him, the aura falling off of him like green dry icer. Geurin spoke, his identity concealed.
"Turtle clan?"
He asked, his words twisted in a mixture of pain, confusion, and pure thrill.

It seemed that his joyous day of an innocent boy’s hobbies would be cut short, as there was the sudden appearance of a large power behind him. Turning from the telescope to see the green person that was facing him, eyes doing a quick examination of the man. Well, he was tall that much was for sure, but why he was asking about the turtle clan was beyond him. It wasn’t like he was the old man, so there was no point in searching for him.
“Sorry, I’m not the Turtle Clan. I’m Maverick, and you are?” not like it could hurt to ask for a name, right? Although, something seemed strange about the way he had asked about it as well, why would it sound like there was so many different emotions in the question? It didn’t make a whole lot of sense to him, but he supposed there was no point to being curious about something like that.
Crossing his arms, he looked over the man that had apparently been looking for him, or at least that was what he assumed. Why, was the important question, right now? There was no reason that he should know who this guy was or vice-versa and that he used the turtle clan as an identifier made him suspicious. What was the purpose behind that? There was a feeling in his gut that this was not a good situation for him to be in, but he would wait things out. Maybe he would turn out to be wrong, he could be hopeful for that kind of outcome.
“Is there a specific reason that you are looking for me?” the better way to find out just what was going on here. Especially considering that he was facing down someone with a massive power level, and who seemed to have no issues with letting it loose. Despite all the thoughts that were going through his head, he kept a straight face. No point in showing any type of hostility towards someone that might not be hostile themselves, right? He took slow breaths to help calm him down, as well.
Sometimes he let his imagination get a bit too carried away with things, and that would not be good here if it led to hostilities. Maverick would behave for the time being, and despite the ridiculous difference in power, he wasn’t afraid of doing otherwise.

He was lying, obviously. Geurin had seen the records, and this one looked just like the man from the school. They had to be the same person. With the Turtle hermit dead, there was only one successor to the position, and that was this young man here. Surely others would come and try to claim it, but this man was an actual member, or so Geurin had deduced.
He interrupted the man with quick reflexes, so fast in fact that it was likely they had not been seen at all. He hand was going for the man's throat mostly to shut him up. He was acting far too casually for Geurin's liking. His hands were gloved, so there was not a single inch of skin showing, the black garments showing him to be a large man, and nothing more.
"Turtle clan, you are all that remains"
If his grab had been successful, he would have the man by the throat, hovering him up off the ground. His grip would tighten slightly, however coming to realize that this would kill the man, he would immediately throw him to the ground he was standing on, he didn't want him dead, he was here to spread a message.
This human was less than one percent of Geurin's total power. The Namek was not keen on killing those weaker than him for sport, but he was the one doing the speaking. He was in control of the conversation.

Things would be a lot easier if he could get a read on the guy that had apparently been looking for him, but he supposed that would make life too easy. Especially considering the guy talked about as much as batman did in a group therapy session, which was to say not much at all. Not that there was a lot that needed to be said when one decided to grab you by the throat either, which seemed to be his new friend’s reaction. Instincts kicked in first for Maverick, as his foot went to kick the crotch of his assailant, who knew if it would do anything to him or not, but it was the first reaction he had.
Of course, it didn’t help things that this guy seemed to try choking him for no apparent reason either, making it hard for him to breath. When he was thrown back to the ground, he sat up, staring at the man through his single eye trying to figure out what the hell this bastard was about.
Then he repeated the way he addressed Maverick once more, then added something onto the end of the statement, a slight scowl forming in the man’s expression at that. “What the hell are you talking about?” he demanded, this guy showed up out of nowhere calling him ‘Turtle Clan’ and then says that he was the only one remaining? What the fuck was with that bullshit?
“Why should I believe you?” he questioned the man, he didn’t know him and as far as Maverick was concerned the guy could easily be lying about it. There was no way that something like that could be the truth, what could have happened where he was the only one left? He refused to believe it, that everyone that was a part of the Turtle School was suddenly gone, what reason could there be fore that? Did the old man go on another drinking binge and chase everyone out or something? There were too many thought swirling through his mind for him to focus right now, he’d have to have a talk with the old man later.

Kick
Nothing
His opponent had no way of knowing the man he was facing was indeed a Namekian, even worse if he had known would he have still tried to kick the genitalia? No, Geurin was unaffected because he simply did not have the weakness that male humans did.
Geurin's mind was still in a rather primal stage. He had wanted so badly to kill, and he had done so. Now he was begining to understand his actions. He hadn't planned that day to kill the old hermit, but he had. When he attacked, so did each and every turtle clan student there. It was bloody and awful, each fighter giving his life to defend the old man whom had sworn he would not participate in the super dome. Geurin killed him in a blind fury, and now looking back realized that he probably could have gone without murdering everyone.
He would start with this one.
"Believe what you want....Turtle Clan"
He said, reaching inside of the tunic he was wearing and pulling out a small piece of cloth that he had taken from the old man, it was the Gi that he was wearing in death, having only the back of it remaining, the stitched letters of the Turtle Clan revealing Geurin's awful deed.
"Find a new master"

There was no reaction at all when Maverick had made the kick, no flinching or any other sign that he had been kicked in that spot. What the hell was this weirdo, some sort of masochistic psycho or something? The fact that there was no reaction was a bit creepy, even a woman would have felt something from the kick to that spot. Bunch of crap luck he had to meet up with the one freak of the world, oh well, it would have been more satisfying if there had been some sort of reaction to it.
He look up at whoever the hell this was as he stated for him to believe what he wanted, and then proceeded to take out a piece of fabric. The symbol on the back of it was the same one for his master, and a slight snarl erupted from the man staring at the offending party. There weren’t a whole lot of options for him right now, none that would be considered smart anyways, but Maverick never once claimed himself to be smart. There was a sudden surge from his emotions as something darker came to the forefront of his mind and enveloped every other thought that might have been going on.
It was a dark thing, primal in nature and it was something that he didn’t mind at the moment as it was a raw, dark desire for violence towards the one that killed his mentor. It didn’t matter to him that their power was so far apart, the dark instincts wanted to have him screaming in pain. They wanted to have him die while screaming as well, to enjoy the satisfaction of that terror in his expression. Minutes went by in a pregnant silence, before the man shook his head and regained control of his thoughts, pushing that darkness away from him.
“The name is Maverick,” he stated with defiance in his voice, it didn’t matter if this bastard had more power than he did. This man would not be controlled by anyone and if that meant that he would have to die, he would do so with his head held high. There was something that he wanted as well, and he lunged forward his arm outstretched towards the symbol of the Turtle School that this monster had taken.
“Kiss my ass.”

Geurin released the cloth to allow it the ability to flutter down and into the outreached hand of Maverick, the former turtle clan member who was clearly too swept up in emotion to think clearly. Luckily for him Geurin's time of instability was coming to an end, and the realization of what he had done began to sink in. Without the turtle school the crane would have no rival. Without a fair rival the aliens that he intended to migrate to earth would not and well...He couldn't have that. He had plans to work out, and he needed to take care of them with tact. This little upset had not done that, and yet the fire that burned beneath him told of one thing, that although the hermit was dead, the spirit of his clan was not.
"Don't be foolish"
He said, his eye piercing from behind the blackened mask that shielded his identity. He didn't need to threaten the boy, nor was he trying to scare him. But their powers were not equal, for Maverick was not even a small fraction of Geurin's ability. Not even one percent of his power. He was reminded greatly of Zach when he peered into the eyes of the hurting gentlemen infront of him, and with the right training he could in fact serve a hearty purpose. Not however if he chose to persist in ending his own life here.
"Rebuild turtle clan. The name Maverick suits you too well. A motherless calf seeking success in the world far before its time. Your teat provides no milk, and your bones provide no sustenance. Go and see what lies ahead, or step forward once more and seek death"
Geurin was being more than reasonable with the man. If he left now, then Geurin would not pursue his death, however if he did not leave, he would lose his opportunity. The offer would not come twice.
(I know you resigned him to die...IE the title of this thread, but it doesn't have to end that way)

Maverick grabbed the cloth, settling back down and moving away from the one that caused all of this to happen. The words he spoke igniting something inside of him that burned brightly, if there was a word to describe it, he would call it hellfire. It wasn’t just anger that filled him there was also deep-seated hatred coalescing with it, creating something that demanded justice for those that had been slaughtered. His eye showing that very same burning desire, there was no denying what he was feeling, especially with the words that had just been spoken to him.
“You come here flaunting your power around like you are, try to crush my throat, tell me you’ve killed what’s left of the closest thing I’ve got to family, and then you tell me to not be foolish?!” this person could be god, the devil, whatever the hell he wanted to be and the man would still be speaking like this. While he knew that he wanted to kill this man, it wasn’t possible now and dying would just be in vain for those that had been killed. He wouldn’t let their deaths be in vain, especially not that of his master, however there was no way that he was going to follow what this person wanted either.
“No, and there’s more than one definition to my name, I think the other suits better,” he stated, his voice didn’t waver or hesitate. Setting his jaw firmly, he would be defiant of the wishes of the person before him and would not do anything that the man wanted. In fact, he would lay out his own plans just so that things weren’t left with an understanding of things.
“What I’m going to do, is head off to train myself to become stronger. Then, I’m going to return and repay the debt that’s owed,” turning and walking towards the edge of the cliff as he did so. Picking up the telescope and folding it up before placing it in a carrying case to throw over his shoulder. There was no reason for him to stick around here anymore, so he was going to be heading out to follow through his plans. (Nah, the title was just based off what we discussed in the cbox and a reference to the Wizard of Oz. As for dying, maybe not, but having my character avoid death by acting oocly doesn't sit well with me.)

Geurin cracked a small smile at the openness of his words. Maverick was certainly a fiery individual who would no doubt come up again in his bingo book of important individuals. Perhaps not yet ready for the role of headmaster, but certainly a willful young man. Granted any being with a powerlevel higher than five warranted reasonable interest in the Namek, but this boy now had something others didn't, he had the hatred necessary to combat the evil before him. Geurin left him with parting words.
"The new super dome, I fight there often. When your feeling exceptionally courageous, sign up, perhaps fortune will pit us together"
Fortune, or the fact that Geurin was blatantly in charge of the dome. But the kid didn't need to know that. His identity was sealed entirely and Maverick would have to play the guessing game to figure out who he was. None the less he was excited to have met the boy today, and rued at the concept that he had ruined this mans life. Because in reality Geurin didnt find joy in killing, he found joy in absolute misery, and that was exactly what he found from this fighter today.
With that the cloaked figure disappeared, leaving no trace of his arrival or incling of his power behind. The man had kept his life, and Geurin had made a new friend.
(Of course, never out of character.) (PL)

He didn’t make much in the way of acknowledging what the person had said, he was pretty sure it was meant to be a taunt of some sort. The problem was, Maverick wasn’t about to let himself get suckered into it all that easily, he knew perfectly well what he needed to do and when he would be ready. He’d not be ready for anything for a long while, but in the meantime he was going to make sure of a few things as well. He’d said nothing in response to the invitation, but he marked it down as something useful for later one, and the person had made one mistake regarding Maverick. Checking to make sure that he was alone, he lifted his items over his back and moved towards the islands where the school was or had been, he’d see what was there.
“Don’t worry, I’ll come for you when I’m ready and hit you when you aren’t,” his voice was calm, but there was a raging fire behind his eyes. He’d need to make sure he was up for the challenge of it was well, and for that he’d need a lot more training, even if it meant going to other schools.
He’d be ready the next time they met and he would make sure that the bastard wouldn’t get away alive if he could help it. Even if it meant sacrificing his own life to get it done, he wouldn’t care about the price he would have to pay. He wouldn’t let those that had been killed in cold blood die without something being done for them, he wouldn’t. (PL)
